We had such an awesome experience with the Peninsula Room for our wedding. I can't sing their praises enough! By nature, my husband and I aren't planners and were mostly daunted by... the task of putting together a wedding, but Barb, Kate, and the team made things wonderfully easy for us.
The location is visually stunning and with an interesting, rich history. (Ask Barb about the ghost — I think her name was Genevieve?) We had a rainy wedding, which made the beautiful, rustic space incredibly cozy.
And the food was REALLY outstanding. I mean, we were impressed during the initial tasting but assumed that it was easier to cook for 2 than 100, but the food at the wedding was even better than the tasting! We got so many compliments from our guests.
Where this team really shines though is in the details... the little things you could never anticipate. We had an issue with our table place cards and they helped fix it. There were probably a ton of these types of issues that cropped up that they handled. In another example, we had to improvise and the reading of our vows inside due to the rain. My mother had gotten us these charmingly cheesy Mr & Mr champagne flutes that I had completely forgotten about. Barb somehow remembered these and quietly slipped in with them, right after we finished our vows, so we could toast each other. It's such a minor detail, but it's one that sticks out because I remembered thinking, "Wow, these guys are really exceptional!"
It's clear that this is a group of seasoned professionals who were able to work with our complete lack of planning skills and really help make this day so special for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
