The Ponds is absolutely the most PERFECT wedding venue. It was everything my husband and I wanted - on a mountain, a woodsy vibe, and a lovely view. Heather, the wedding coordinator of the venue, was absolutely fabulous and walked us through everything. She was on top of every single question we could have had and communicated with us in a timely manner.
We did all of our food and drink through the venue too as well as our Rehearsal Dinner and Recovery Brunch. The food was fantastic, the bar staff was friendly, and everyone was well taken care of for the entire weekend.
Our wedding was on July 13, 2024. 48 hours before, the access road to Bolton Valley had literally been washed away due to the floods in Vermont. Heather communicated with us what was going on and was very honest about the state of the road. She, the whole Bolton Valley team, and the Vermont construction workers worked through the night to ensure that the road was open for our wedding that Saturday. And it was!
The Bolton Valley and The Ponds team truly went above and beyond to make our day happen and special. They had gone, in the rain, to take care of a culvert to ensure that the venue wouldn't flood out and would be dry for our wedding.
The sun shone and everything was absolutely perfect. I wouldn't have gotten married anywhere else. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who is a mountain lover and wants a lovely VT wedding. This is the perfect spot for it!
Initially, there were challenges, mostly in event planning staff, due to Covid but in the end, Bekah did a wonderful job! We had an offsite Church wedding but the Ponds was the perfect setting for an end of summer reception. The food was delicious and we could not have been happier with all of our vendors: Alison of Floral Artistry, Christian Arthur Photography, Bridal Services by Laela, Party Factor Band, quartet from Vermont Symphony, Top Hat Entertainment for the mirror photo booth and Kat of Premier Coach Bus Co. Kudos, kudos, kudos!
We could not have been happier with our wedding at the Ponds! The indoor ceremony setup in front of the fireplace was absolutely perfect for a chilly day. We had more than enough room for 127 guests, and the space also felt plenty full. The food was amazing — several guests told us it was the best wedding food they ever had. And our photos outside look so wonderful! I will hold this place in my heart forever and cannot recommend this venue enough.
Any questions?
The most beautiful venue in VT!!! Really and Truly- my husband and I are beyond thrilled with every experience we had at The Ponds. Our wedding photos are truly beautiful, as the back drop is so spectacular! We 1000% recommend this venue- for the atmosphere, food, staff... really everything! Thank you to everyone who made our beautiful day possible. - Alexa & Pete <3
When my fiancé and I saw The Ponds for the first time, we just knew it was the venue for us! We married at The Ponds in July of 2017, and although we were planning long-distance from CT, the distance was never a problem. Our wedding coordinator, Shana, was helpful, professional and always there when I had a question or concern. She worked with me on our budget and our vision for the day. I was able to coordinate times to do additional visits and a tasting, and Shana was always very accommodating. She went above and beyond to help calm my nerves the week before the wedding and even assisted with signage and set up. The venue was just beautiful and the day was everything we dreamed of. The staff was professional and courteous, and our guests could not stop raving about the gorgeous view, the beautiful venue and the delicious food. They kept asking how we ever found such a perfect spot! In addition, we had a day after brunch at The Essex. This was a nice laid back way to enjoy some additional time with our guests before the weekend ended, and again Shana and her staff were very accommodating in meeting the needs of our budget and our guests. I would highly recommend The Ponds and the staff of The Essex for your special day.
When planning our daughter’s wedding in Vermont, we wanted a venue that was rustic yet elegant. The Ponds at Bolton Valley fit that criteria perfectly. The outside appearance is lovely. The building overlooks a pond with landscaping along the edge with a small dock which is the perfect spot for pictures. The bent wooden railing on the deck are reminiscence of Adirondack lodges. Inside the high wooden ceilings, wood floors and the two-story stone fireplace are breathtaking. Lit up at night, it looks so festive and fun.
Our party was about 140 people. The Ponds accommodated this crowd with room to spare. Our guests had plenty of room on the dance floor with seating around the perimeter. We had a buffet dinner and the Ponds was able to accommodate a few of our guests with dietary restrictions. We loved the tasting which really helped solidify what we wanted on our menu.
Lastly, working with Shana was delightful. She was so responsive to our questions and able to offer suggestions when we were struggling with making some of the many choices. The staff on the day of the wedding couldn’t have been more pleasant and attentive. They truly made my daughter and her new husband feel special.
We would highly recommend the Ponds at Bolton Valley as a place to have your wedding reception! It’s a gorgeous venue with excellent staff.
My husband and I had always wanted to have our wedding at The Ponds, but were unsure if we would ever be able to afford the venue. After looking into some other venues, we still could not stop thinking about The Ponds and decided to go ahead and inquire. We immediately heard back from Shana Farer-Feld who informed us that they were more than willing to work with our budget so that we could have the wedding of our dreams, at the venue we felt was the perfect fit. Shana was with us every step of the way. She was very attentive to our needs and responded in a timely manner whenever we contacted her. Living out of state while planning a Vermont wedding had its challenges, but Shana made the process so smooth and I always felt that we were in good hands. Even when things didn’t go exactly as planned, I felt at ease knowing Shana and her team were there to support us. Overall, this venue is breathtaking with an amazing view of the Vermont Mountains. We had our ceremony outside next to the pond and the scenery was so beautiful. The space inside for the reception was perfect for an intimate wedding and its beauty is truly unmatched. I cannot praise Shana and The Essex staff enough. The food and beverage service was superb and all our guests commented on how wonderful the staff made them feel. Special shout out to Deb who is an absolute gem; she took care of us the whole night and was truly one of the nicest people we have ever met. The food was delicious and our cake was exactly what we had wanted. Shana and The Essex helped us to create the most perfect wedding day. We could not have asked for anything better. We highly recommend The Essex and their services, as well as The Ponds as a venue.
The Ponds at Bolton Valley was a truly dream-come-true venue for us. The autumn foliage in the background was everything we hoped for, and it is equally beautiful in winter, summer, and spring. The function hall stays wonderfully warm, and there is a balcony and outdoor space for fresh air if guests are too hot from dancing.
While somewhat costly, we and our guests immensely enjoyed the venue, which INCLUDES EVERYTHING: tables/chairs/place settings, catering, cake, and bar! If you have doubts about pricing, look at the wedding package brochure on their website - plenty of options for different budgets. (We had about 100 guests, with plated dinners and open bar in our package price).
The staff is very experienced and professional, and our coordinator, Shana, made the planning process as smooth as possible. We highly recommend the Ponds, and we hope that future couples will enjoy the venue as much as we did.
This venue was beautiful and Kara was great to work with. She made sure all the details were covered. The food was great and the cake was amazing. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to have our wedding!
We had our wedding reception at The Ponds at Bolton Valley on 9/8/2013 and it was just beautiful. What a lovely location with the pond and changing leaves. The venue is gorgeous and allowed plenty of room for dinner, dancing, socializing and best of all there is a deck and nice lawn for the kids to get out and run around. Kara was fantastic and very organized every step of the way. Everything went very smoothly and as planned. Kara is very professional and pleasant and ensured that our day was perfect.
It rained and the indoor facility is just as beautiful as outside!!!! Kara was awesome and so was her staff!!! This is a must if you want a perfect wedding!!!
The food was amazing!! Done by New England Culinary Institute. The cost includes food.
This place is great for anybody. It's very backcountry and has some beautiful views.
Our wedding was mid-November and this was the perfect venue! We had a light dusting of snow which made the pictures have a magical feel, the pond was beautiful and the mountains were captured perfectly in the photos. The lodge was great, there was a separate bridal room. The fireplace lent to a cozier more intimate feel. We had fireworks over the pond, they were stunning! The service was great, someone dropped a bunch of utensils during the ceremony but we laughed about it afterward.
Absolutely stunning - lodge and pond in the middle of the Vermont Mountains!
We had our ceremony and reception at The Ponds, an after-party and next-day breakfast at the Bolton Valley Inn (where everyone stayed). It was great for everything to be in one spot (a shuttle moves guests the mile between The Ponds and the Inn). Rachel and the rest of the staff helped us enjoy the whole thing.
I loved The Ponds at Bolton. Everything is so beautiful inside & out. The food was great and the planner was a big help throughout the whole process. She was always available and respond quickly to questions. They are very organized and knowledgeable about setting up, and the details of the reception.
