our wedding in August 2021, WHAT A MISTAKE! Completely disorganized and poorly ran company! Their contract had an 8-week turnaround time for delivering the video, and I was completely patient and understanding of the backlog due to COVID and familiar with how much work goes into post editing. Christmas is starting to come up (4 months after the wedding), and I decide to check in on a status update with our coordinator Kelsey, no response for TWO WEEKS! I try their Instagram, no response either. Eventually I had to put in a request for their Contact Us portion as if I was a new customer just to get their attention. After weeks of just getting them to respond back we learned that THEY LOST OUR FOOTAGE!!! What is even worse, is that THEY DID NOT HAVE A BACK UP COPY ON ANY HARD DRIVE!!! They ship a physical hard drive to their editors, and their editor confirmed to the film shooter that they received the hard drive with the footage when they in fact DID NOT! The film shooter then deletes his footage off his hard drive, and the ONLY physical copy floating around is lost in the mail since a week after the wedding in August 2021 all the way through Christmas 2021 and into 2022. THEIR WHOLE TEAM IS SO NEGLIGENT AND CARELESS, that they didn’t even know the hard drive was MISSING or that the POST EDIT WAS NEVER EVEN STARTED until I brought it to their attention in January 2022. Even after all of this I still find myself not a priority as I have to be the one to contact them just to get a status update of what is going on. Sway titles himself as the “Director of Dreams” but he can’t even oversee that his team is SNOOZING AWAY and NOT KEEPING TRACK OF COMPLETED or STARTED PROJECTS. They obviously weren’t the most expensive videographers, but I got what I paid for. UNORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL, NO LEADERSHIP, NON-DELIVERING, SHAM OF A COMPANY. Although I was refunded, I CAN NEVER REPLACE THE MEMORIES FROM OUR WEDDING DAY. I have nothing from the UNCOMMON WEDDINGS, matter of fact they cost me money as I paid to feed their videographers at my wedding. NEVER HIRE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE A ONCE IN A LIFETIME MEMORY LIKE MY WIFE AND I. SO PLEASE DO YOURSELF AND US A FAVOR, DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

We also paid for the 3 week turnaround but did not get anything closer to 5-6 weeks, we did get a small refund so I will give them that. This is the only wedding vendor that I would not recommend.

Then came our wedding day, Richie and Edgar were extremely friendly with our guests and did an amazing job making my wife and I feel comfortable as they filmed. Many family members including our flower girls commented on how great these two were! Lastly, and perhaps most important, we recently received the final edited footage and wow the team did such an incredible job! We are so very happy to have this footage to cherish the memories for the rest of our lives. I would recommend Uncommon Weddings to anyone looking for filmography for any event!

we FINALLY came across the Uncommon Weddings. We watched their videos, read the reviews, and we FINALLY got excited about a videographer! The prices are reasonable and the quality of work is AMAZING! We couldn’t believe it! We immediately emailed them to check availability. Sway was our first point of contact and he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He took the time to understand our expectations/budget and he made us feel like a priority. So after that first phone call, we were ready to lock them in for our BIG day! It was a no brainer! Leading up to the wedding, Hoa was always in contact with us - which we greatly appreciated! Her customer service is top notch. Kelsey was also great! She help us with the last few payments and helped us get our raw footage! Another bonus that we thought was pretty cool - they sent us gifts leading up to the big day! They sent a Starbucks gift-card, a care package, and a “Wedding Day - Oh Sh*t Kit” - which was super fun and cute! It was such a nice surprise! Especially in the midst of planning a wedding. They truly go above and beyond for their customers! Our videographers the day of were Daniel and Constantine who were phenomenal! They took the time to understand who we were as a couple and what our expectations were for our big day! We loved that they were very professional, respectful, and got along with both of our crazy families at the wedding! They were such a joy to have and they blended seamlessly into the big day making sure to capture everything we wanted. They are truly a Hidden GEM! We cannot recommend them enough! For any future video services we may need - they will be our go-to! Trust us! You won’t regret it!

One item that did turn me off was while crediting our photographer on social media platforms, they referred to her as part of the "team" which is true they teamed up but our photographer has never worked with them before nor is she affiliated with them in any way so it seemed a bit misleading.

S we got the video book and its perfect! Instead of pulling out our phones to show our video, we can pull out our wedding video book ! A tip of advice: I would make sure you are VERY specific with the videographer on what you want included in your video. We had live singers at our ceremony, and unfortunately the videographers were unable to get good coverage of the sound (luckily our DJ Mike from Creative Memories saved the day and had all the sound recorded!). Also, reach out to Josue and tell him exactly what you want included in your video. There was never a conversation before our video was made regarding what content we wanted. It took several rounds of edits to get exactly what we wanted. But in the end, Josue was able to put together a video that we absolutely LOVE!! Thank you again Josue & The Uncommon Weddings TEAM! We were looking specifically for someone who did drone footage because we liked the theatrical look of having an overview of the venue. Deciding: While going back and forth with a couple other videographers, Josue (the main point of contact until closer to the day of -- he walks you through the whole process), kept in contact and followed up with us. He also is very informative as to WHY a video of your wedding is a good idea! The Process: Once we decided to go with TUW, Josue was there with any and all questions we had every step of the way. He made the process so much more easier for us! We kept in contact through email at first, then had a phone conversation to introduce ourselves and to learn more about each other. Three weeks before the big day: Josue assigned us a videographer, Pedro, to be our main point of contact for our wedding day. One week/few days before the big day: As the big day got closer, we continued to keep in touch and follow up on the little details along the way. THE BIG DAY: On the day of our wedding, we officially met Pedro in person. Pedro was awesome! I asked questions here and there and he said that he liked being behind the scenes and getting candid moments, so that's what he did. Eight weeks after the big day: Josue informed us that our video will be ready 8 weeks after our wedding day. We also paid the remaining amount of our payment prior to the delivery of our video. Because I stayed out of the initial conversation, I had a ton of questions, that Josue was there to answer at all hours! ……Then we had the pleasure of working with Daniel, as our videographer on the big day. Our first conversation with Daniel took place a little over a month before the wedding. Having been the stressed out bride, he put all my anxieties at ease. Daniel had a plan the entire time, which he mentioned during the conversation that he was even going to travel to LA a few weekends before to scope out the best angles/shots by our venue. Daniel didn’t even know us, but was so happy for us. His passion for capturing those desirable moments shined through his communication. On the Big Day - If you tend to get a little camera shy(me), than you really need Daniel by your side! He was right there with us the entire time and our family adored him.
