The Vintage Barn at Merefield

Would give my experience 6/5 stars if I could. From the wedding prep meetings, down to execution Missy and her staff did a fantastic job on our wedding. Not only are they experts at what they do, it is obvious that they care for each bride and love what they do. The day of our wedding our DJ threatened to leave and Missy found a new DJ for me. No doubt I would have been straight out of luck if I was at another venue. The replacement DJ was great, knew all of our songs, knew the order of events, was excited to be there etc. To not have to worry and know that you're covered truly is priceless. If something goes wrong they're going to handle it without stressing you out. The venue is absolutely stunning and our day was PERFECT!!! Six months in and we STILL get compliments on how great of a wedding it was. All thanks to these girls. We love them.

You NEED to book this venue! Missy and Morgan are wonderful to work with and they made our day go by so smoothly. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing!

Once we walked into this gorgeous venue we knew it was where we had to get married. Morgan, Laura and Missy allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams. Morgan and Laura were there every step of the way during the planning process and wedding day to help with anything and everything! The way these two girls set up the venue on our wedding day was everything we could’ve asked for! These two and Missy were the most relaxed, lenient but reasonable when it came to the venue policy, which allowed us to not worry about anything except our day!

Morgan, Missy and the other lady’s literally made our wedding the best day of our lives! They are so helpful and wonderful. The Venue is so beautiful pictures don’t give it justice! They took what I said in our meetings and ran with it!! Literally the most beautiful day of our lives !

I don’t have enough characters to type all of the amazing things I have to say about this venue and the team involved! We got married at The Vintage Barn and the setup at the venue was absolutely PERFECT! Missy, the owner, was involved throughout the entire planning process and eager to hear what my images and inspirations were for my special day and ensure that we could bring these to life! Laura and Morgan are the wedding coordinators with the venue and they are both two of the kindest and most beautiful people you will ever meet. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with both of them and they helped make my special day even more perfect than I could have ever imagined! Laura specifically was assigned to lead the coordination team for our wedding and I am so grateful that she was because she embraced my ideas of what I wanted throughout the planning process and even contributed on how to build on some ideas which I absolutely loved! I have never planned a wedding and felt like I didn’t know where to start or where to continue, and Laura reassured me throughout the planning process that we were doing great and guided me throughout making the important decisions! Laura and the entire team at Merefield Farm made me feel so so special on day of and I am beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to hold my wedding at this venue! They took care of all of the decorations, table setup, day of communication with vendors and so much more to allow me to enjoy my day stress free. All of our guests were amazed with just how beautiful this venue is and continue to comment on how amazing all of the table setup and decorations at the venue are. This day was absolutely perfect and I could ask to change a single thing! Thank you to all of the team at Merefield Farm!

I recently attended my best friend's wedding at Vintage Barn, and it was absolutely perfect, thanks to the incredible owner, Missy. From the start, Missy made us feel like family. Her kindness, warmth, and dedication shone through in every detail. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that every moment was special. The venue was stunning, but it was Missy’s hard work and personal touch that truly made the day unforgettable. If you want a wedding filled with love and care, this is the place to go.

Missy and her team are exceptional. Each of them has a servant’s heart and went above and beyond to make sure my friend Alyssa’s wedding day dreams came true. From the moment you meet Missy, you can tell she is truly special. Her team worked diligently to ensure everything went smoothly, even handling a challenging situation—like dealing with a problematic DJ and finding a new one within an hour—without anyone noticing until later. They are organized, caring, and fully committed to everyone in attendance. Merefield Farm is a gem in our already beautiful state of Kentucky. The Vintage Barn is a stunning venue, and the round barn was perfect for music and dancing. Seeing one of your best friends so incredibly happy on her wedding day is a huge blessing, and Missy and her team were a significant part of why August 31st was such a memorable day.

The Vintage Barn is STUNNING!! Missy, Morgan, and the entire team are incredible! They poured their hearts into our wedding day, and their passion for making dreams come true is obvious. So many of our guests have told us how beautiful and amazing they thought the venue was and that they had an incredible time at our wedding. The planning process could not have been better. Every time we meet with the team, we left the barn knowing we were going to have the wedding of our dreams. The decor and the venue are so beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking. The week of our wedding the weather forecast called for rain, and we were a little stressed because a good portion of our wedding day was going to be outside. The Vintage Barn team did an amazing job coming up with alternative options. At one point we had a Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C all depending on the weather and they worked to make sure the set up was ready to move depending on what the weather decided to do. In the end, the weather perfect! I will say, a fully honest review would be a 4.5 stars, but The Knot won't let you give half stars, so I rounded up. We did have a little miscommunication about scheduling and the timeline for the day of. As other reviewers have written we were told months in advance that we could stay as late into the night as we wanted, that we could sit by the fire all night. Then around midnight, we were told it was time to pack up and go. Make sure to confirm your day of schedule details and timeline the week of. Otherwise, the crew at the Vintage Barn went beyond above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect wedding day! We would highly recommend the Vintage Barn at Merefield Farm.

Everyone should know about this venue! Not only is it stunning, but the decor is all included in the price. You meet with the wedding planners multiple times to talk about your vision and select what options you want to use for tables and aisle decor. The head coordinator was a blessing, we had such a cold, rainy fall day for our wedding and she handled all the changes beautifully (everything was supposed to be outside, and we had to move it all into the barn, and it took less than 20 minutes). Also, she made a new bustle on my dress after it was ripped out when someone stepped on the dress! The Vintage barn is spacious and there's 2 outside options for ceremony spaces, 2 dance floor options, the bridal suite is huge! I just so happy we found this venue!

We got married at the Lily Barn in Sept 2024. Missy and her team met with us every 4-8 weeks for the full year leading up to the wedding and did so much to take things off our plates. Not only did she take all my inspo pics and make them reality, she put together a night that was beyond my expectations. So so happy I chose the Lily Barn. Missy, her team, and this barn hold such a huge place in my heart

My granddaughter’s wedding was the past weekend, Sept 16, 2023 at Merefield Farm, The Lily Barn Words can’t begin to express how beautiful and amazing it was. Missy and her staff at Merefield are the Best of the Best! I knew the first time we met Missy, everything would be perfect and it was! From the early planning through Savannahs’ big day , Missy gave perfection! The venue in itself is absolutely stunning, with acres upon beautiful acres of land where their gorgeous horses reside, to the field of cool Texas Longhorns! Of course then , above all, you have Missy and her staff, making the bride’s dreams of what her wedding will look like come true, it doesn’t get any better!!! The decorations was everything Savannah dreamed of and more! Their personalities just radiate positivity and happiness throughout. You may come as strangers but you become family. Laura was Savannah’s wedding planner/coordinator working along side Missy and she was the best! Never missed a beat keeping our crazy bunch on schedule! I have also never seen such a large decoration’s inventory at one venue. You can pick and chose to use from the inventory there or use your on. I would and will be recommending the Merefield Farms Venue for the smallest intimate wedding to the big weddings ! Missy and staff are The Best!!

Our day was made the most magical event by Missy (owner) and the amazing team at Merefield Farm! Our wedding planner, Morgan Hamilton, helped every step of the way, and there were a few changes to our original thoughts, and she made sure everything pan out exactly how we desired. Our wedding day could not have happened so beautifully without all of their help! The Miller's would HIGHLY recommend this venue and staff for anyone's Big Day! My mother was so excited that she could simply enjoy, rather than having to worry about all the moving parts. Missy and her Team made everything work as seamlessly as possible, and I am pretty sure that Morgan has a gift from God for dealing with children. Every one of our flower girls and ring bearers (all family) walked and did such an amazing job! Our biggest thanks and appreciation to the best venue in Kentucky!! Thank you all for the gift you give of a perfect setting! Also, the weather was a blessing from the Lord above, a beautiful 83 degrees with the BIG beautiful puffy clouds, a good breeze, and all the family and friends! Thank you Merefield Farm for putting on the best wedding we could have ever dreamt of!!!!

The venue is stunning, the location is gorgeous and the details are spot on vintage and KY! My guests loved everything about our reception and the location! Missy was very sweet and really cares for the brides. My hiccups were a few miscommunications about scheduling meetings; and the day of the reception, I had a new coordinator that I had not met and she had to ask questions about how the flow of the event should be to where I didn't get to enjoy getting ready and the venue as much as I had hoped beforehand. I would have loved to have had those conversations the day before or earlier in the week. She was also unaware of some stipulations such as having dogs on leashes and venue lights turned off by midnight and stated we could stay as long as we wanted. The coordinator did end up doing very well with the info she had and was very nice and helpful. We had also been told we could camp out and hang out by the fire without any worries of time but was then told to leave the venue right at 12 by the clean up crew. Day of communication lacked between all involved which caused me and my husband to be a bit more overwhelmed than we had hoped to be. The Vintage Barn is a great venue and would still recommend but with better consistency of coordinators and communication between everyone.

This venue was my absolute dream come true from the moment I walked in and saw the venue I felt at home and at peace. Being born and raised in the heart of Kentucky there was nothing I wanted more than a classic, southern, Kentucky wedding. Missy’s attention to detail was outstanding. From the big details like the ceremony all the way to the pink bow napkins and flower horse crown Missy made all the details come to fruition. Not only was Missy amazing- but her dream team of girls. They were absolutely precious and knocked it out of the park! The organization and care they poured into every appointment didn’t go unnoticed. The barn was exquisite in every dreamy way possible. The horses running, and the gorgeous Kentucky landscape was the icing on the cake. Thank you Missy and the dream team of ladies at The Vintage Barn for making my Kentucky fairytale come to life!

I was a May 2023 bride and I cannot recommend the vintage barn at merefield farm enough. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to get married here. It was an absolute DREAM of mine. To say that my dream came true AND that it was EXACTLY everything I had ever wanted, I could not be a happier bride. I still talk about just how perfect our day was. Missy and her girls worked with me so well and I go to school out of state (I was raised locally though). They went out of their way to make sure that the little hiccups that happened throughout the day, they took care of. I had no idea until the next day! The venue is stunning, the decor is breathtaking, and did I said before that Missy and her girls were AMAZING!? I 10000% recommend this venue. It was truly so special and wonderful that even almost a month later, I am still talking about how perfect it was.

You just came across the highest value venue you can find. My husband and I had our reception at the Lily Barn in September of 2022 and we wouldn’t have picked anywhere else to do it. Mrs. Macklin and her team alleviated the stress of planning a wedding from 14 hours away. And quite honestly, it does not matter the metric that you pick to compare them by, they excel in it all. At Merefield you will find an owner who is welcoming, ecstatic, and committed to your experience, a team that is perfectly curated across talents to create the best day possible, a relationship with other vendors that streamlines solutions with the dial of a phone, a picturesque property that will suite any style, and the promise of decreasing the stress of not only preparations ahead of time but also minimizing the cleanup afterward to almost nothing. If your hope for your day is to have the right vendors on your team in order to soak in all the work you have already put in to building your perfect union, you just found your perfect venue partner.

I cannot recommend enough Missy and the Lily Barn at Merefield Farm. On top of a stunning venue, Missy and her team go above and beyond to work with the Bride and Groom in making their wedding day vision a reality. It’s a truly unique and special place - my vendors and guests both could not stop raving about the venue and Missy’s vintage décor. The team took care of setting up everything so I could enjoy my big day getting ready with my bridal party and Missy took the time to meet with us several times prior to help make sure our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and gave great helpful tips we hadn’t even thought of. The day goes by so fast, and I can’t tell you how big of an impact it makes to have a team you can trust to take care of the details so you can enjoy your big day with your friends and family.

Missy and her AMAZING team made our wedding dreams come true. As a *stressed* bride, I cannot recommend Missy highly enough. I was overwhelmed with wedding planning from the beginning for so many reasons. When I found Missy, I knew immediately she was everything I didn’t know I needed for my*self* … wedding. Her style and design aligned perfectly with mine and her calm demeanor was a great match for this anxious bride. Missy truly cares about you, your family and making your day as perfect as possible. She is your person for the biggest day of your life. She’s there every step of the way and always ready for a phone call to ease your mind! I wouldn’t change anything about my wedding day. I plan to have all *big* future events coordinated by Missy (and her team) at her farm!

Missy and her team are amazing! As soon as we met them and saw the venue we knew we’d found our place. They made the wedding day so peaceful for me. The venue is gorgeous!!! The Vintage Barn was absolutely the best place to hold a wedding and a reception. Missy and her staff are the best at helping brides plan the wedding of their dreams. They also helped to remove a lot of the stress where everyone could enjoy the special day. It was so beautiful and Missy has a ton of things to decorate with to help ensure you have the wedding of your dreams. The sunset was beautiful and the horses came up to the fences while the wedding party was taking pictures. I can’t begin to say a enough good things about Missy and The Vintage Barn. I feel now that my daughters wedding is over we are more like family.

Wow what an experience for proud Grandparents from the UK. The setting was totally unique and the barn was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, even down to heaters and blankets for a late November Wedding. This Wedding was supposed to take place in August but unfortunately due to Covid, travel and various restrictions had to be delayed. Missy went to a great deal of trouble to help the happy couple fulfil there dream at short notice. Thank you so much Missy and your staff for making our Grandson and his Wife’s Wedding Reception such a beautiful memorable day for all concerned

Our son and now daughter In Law had their wedding at this amazing venue - being English the road to the big day was not a smooth one with date changes and last minute plans. Missy the owner went above and beyond to help them make their wedding day possible at such short notice - nothing was too. much trouble and I would like to say a huge thank you to her for making the day so special. The venue is magical and perfect thanks from the bottom of our hearts.

This venue was a perfectly sweet and cozy place to celebrate my sister finally marrying the man of her dreams!! The barn was gorgeous, Missy was lovely, and we really had the best time!

It’s hard to find the words to describe how much of an honor and privilege it was to have our wedding reception at this wonderful venue. But I will try!

My now wife and I have had a rough engagement to say the least. Gracie (my wife) and I met whilst I was studying abroad at UK. I am originally from the UK (confusing, I know.) We got engaged the summer of 2020, with the plans to get married in August of 2021. We started looking into reception venues with the vision of partying in a barn after our wedding ceremony. That’s when we first came across this stunning venue and had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Missy. From the moment we met Missy we were instantly at ease, she is one of the most friendly, hard working and caring people you will ever meet. From our first conversation we knew we had found the perfect spot of our reception. We arrived unannounced to the barn where we found Missy working hard with her team to set up for a wedding that evening, even though she was busy, she took time out and showed us around every inch of the barn, which we were amazed at! It is located on a working horse farm in the middle of horse country, it is truly beautiful. If you are an animal lover, the barn is surrounded by horse pastures where you could make a new friend if you have a treat! After that meeting, we started the ball rolling at booking the barn for our August date! We were so excited!

Then, I left to go back to the UK. Unfortunately, due to COVID, increased wait times for US visas, and a year apart from my fiancé, August 2021 came and I was still in the UK, my visa hadn’t arrived. Telling Missy we had to cancel was heartbreaking for us as all Gracie and I wanted was to be married. We called expecting for Missy to tell us we had lost our deposit and there was nothing she could do, however we could’t have been further from the truth. Missy immediately told us that no matter what, she will make it her personal mission to make sure we have our perfect reception at the barn, no matter when we reschedule. She showed nothing but kindness and was so understanding! 

My visa FINALLY arrived at the end of August, which meant one thing, we had less than 3 months to plan and execute a wedding!! Understandably, every single one of our previous vendors were fully booked for our new date, so we had to (very stressfully) find and rebook all new people, except for one… The second we called Missy to explain we had our visa, she dropped everything she was doing to open up her calendar to squeeze us in the schedule for our new date. Gracie and I were so happy as we were really looking forward to using the barn. 

Those 3 months went by in a flash, I arrived in the US and Gracie and I got married!! The reception at the barn was nothing short of breathtaking. One of the first things people would say to us, after “congratulations” was how stunning the barn was. Every single detail was perfect. Missy really outdone herself and went above and beyond to make our evening perfect. 

If you are looking for a place to get married, party the night away and really experience true southern charm, I couldn’t recommend The Vintage Barn at Merefield Farm strongly enough. You will not regret it! 

To Missy, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for everything you have done for us. It has been a pleasure getting to know you and experience your amazing venue. You are a huge part of making our wedding day so memorable! God bless,

The Vintage Barn and the WHOLE team of helpers hands-down made our day spectacular. I separate the team from Missy (the owner) because she deserves a category all to herself. Missy became our 3rd Mom, she would regularly check-up on us as we would with her. She allows the couples to come and go for visits to the farm (as long as there isn't a wedding), and her pricing is not for personal gain. I truly believe Missy just wants to help make magical weddings happen at her barn, and could care less about the money! On the day of, she becomes your wedding coordinator. Handling your vendors, organization of the decor, bridal parties, families, etc. She really does it all. And I couldn't say enough about her helping team as well. They never asked a question or batted an eye if we asked for something or had a request. They made us feel like we had an army at our side to ensure our ceremony and reception went as smoothly as possible. If I could live in that day forever I would, and I wouldn't choose anywhere but here. Thank you Missy, and thank you to her team. We'll be back for other events!

Wow I just can’t say enough!! Missy and her staff made my daughter, Madison Domaschko’s, dream wedding come true!! It was breathtaking!! As the mother of the bride, I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed experience!! They were very professional and the day was so organized! We have been working with Missy for over a year planning this day and she has been an absolute joy to be around!! We have acquired a lifelong friendship and only wish her the best!! After getting married this year in May, I can honestly say that The Vintage Barn at Merefield Farm was the BEST option. If you’re a bride who is looking for a venue that cares about you and your wedding day, is affordable, and includes everything, look no further! Missy and her staff went above and beyond to make my wedding absolutely beautiful and ensure the day ran smoothly. The entire property has so much versatility and character throughout it. There are now two different wedding venues you can choose from, it is all surrounded by black plank fences with horses, and there is an array of decor and linens to choose from that can fit any type of bride you are! I highly recommend Missy and her staff to any bride who loves working with people who want to know you all personally and want your dream wedding to come true!

My day couldn’t have gone as perfect as it did without Missy and the crew at The Vintage Barn. Not only is it the most beautiful venue in the state of Kentucky but the people make it that much better! Missy really takes the time to get to know the bride, groom and family on a personal level and does anything she can to make sure everything is perfect! I couldn’t recommend this venue enough!!

I am getting married in 1 week, and I am so excited and pleased with The Vintage Barn and their staff. Therefore, I wanted to go ahead and write this! I could not be happier with Missy (the owner) and her team. They have been such a help and so welcoming from the first time I visited the barn. Missy strives to help each bride and groom feel at-home and stress free, yet very professional. I could NOT imagine having my wedding anywhere else, or working with another team. They have taken care of SO MUCH, which has taken lots of stress off of me. The barn itself is BEAUTIFUL! The barn has SO much character itself and the surrounding land, horses, and black horse fence just top it off. I am so excited to be having the wedding I have been picturing/planning since I was a little girl at this venue. If you are even questioning booking or visiting this venue DO IT! I promise you will be glad you did!

Missy and her staff were AMAZING!! Missy was like family went above and beyond. It really was like a dream come true, and everything was perfect. Every last detail was perfectly organized the way we discussed and was beyond more. The venue is very affordable with everything that is included. We are actually getting married this month at the Lily Barn at Merefield. It is their new venue they just opened this year. I was very nervous in the beginning because the venue was not fully finished when I booked my wedding day, but it has turned out wonderful. The venue is so beautiful, and Missy (the owner) offers so much in the cost for the venue. Not only does she offer tables, chairs, and linens in the price, but she has so many beautiful decorations that make having your dream wedding possible on a limited budget. Missy has been there to answer any questions we may have, and goes above and beyond to help her clients have the most beautiful day.

Missy and her team made our wedding truly a dream come true. We trusted her to bring our vision to life and she did just that! She was so helpful coordinating everything and the fact that the venue comes with greenery and decorations made it so much more affordable and easy for us! It was as close to a one stop shop as you can get!

What can I say?! Missy and her team were wonderful! We had a blast getting ready at the Lily Barn silos and enjoyed all the little details of the day- from getting ready & allowing me to include my most favorite 4 legged child- my horse- to our sparkler send off! We had a beautiful/wonderful wedding at The Vintage Barn! We had multiple sessions with Missy and her crew in order to ensure the things we wanted were possible. She was always extremely responsive in texts and calls when questions came to mind. Missy made sure that our table layout, decorations, seating arrangements, and the bridal and groom suites were perfect! Due to the amount of hard work and the hands missy has available at the barn it made me, the bride, extremely less stressed. Everything was beautiful and it was of course a day we will never forget! ❤️ The horses were also extremely friendly and cooperative!!

Our wedding at the vintage barn was so absolutely beautiful! Missy the owner is so incredibly sweet, caring and just has all the best intentions for any couple she comes across! The barn is so beautiful and they have a great selection of beautiful decorations to use! All our guest spent the night complimenting how beautiful the whole venue was! Also the owners assistants Are absolutely amazing as well and make sure every little detail of the wedding is perfect for you! If I could rate more stars I would!
