George and I wanted a non-denominational yet traditional wedding ceremony that wasn’t overbearing or gimmicky. We needed a professional with presence to help lead us in a ceremony that we were both a bit nervous about. As a couple we are not ones for public proclamations, and now we were faced with putting a wedding ceremony together!
We knew we didn’t want to do personal vows, yet we wanted a ceremony that was meaningful and represented us as a couple. During our introductory call with Tanya Pushkine, she immediately understood our goals and recognized our vision. Tanya not only shared invaluable feedback based on her experiences, she provided a varied collection of readings and ideas for the ceremony as well. She acted as a counselor and coach where needed. Working with Tanya was one of the most organized and efficient experiences I’ve had with a master of ceremonies. Her response time with any of our questions was immediate and detailed. She inspired us to find a reading that was truly unique and meaningful to us as a couple.
The day of the wedding Tanya was a consummate professional; we felt completely safe in her hands. Tanya thought about everything: where should the bride and groom stand? Will I be comfortable walking down the aisle in my massive dress? She even helped guide my father, who is hard of hearing, to his seat to watch the ceremony - things that were important to us though not necessarily what I'd expect to be part of her role. Tanya's presentation was professional, warm and inviting. I was so nervous about the actual ceremony, and Tanya helped make it one of my favorite parts of our wedding. I’m eternally grateful Tanya's presence, and her participation in our wedding day.
Tanya was everything my now Wife and I had hoped for in an officiant. She helped both of us talk through the process as a couple, and as individuals, which made us both at ease.

My husband and I are so thrilled with having chosen Tanya as our officiant! She is extremely knowledgeable and professional and knows exactly how to make each ceremony unique to each couple. We had multiple guests tell us that our ceremony was the most special ceremony they had been to and that it truly felt like a genuine reflection of who we are. If you are nervous about writing/reading vows at all, you need to hire Tanya. I genuinely didn't think I was going to be brave enough to read mine publicly at the ceremony. Because of Tanya's help, extensive practice with us before the wedding, and her calming presence, my husband and I both aced our vows. We cannot recommend Tanya more highly!! We worked with Tanya for our wedding at Valley Rock Inn in September 2024 and had the most amazing experience. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding day was writing our own vows and we owe it to Tanya for getting us both on board with writing vows ourselves. It was not originally our plan but it ended up being one of the most special parts of our day. Tanya was super patient with us while we worked on the ceremony and made sure that the ceremony was "us". Thank you Tanya for all you did to make our wedding ceremony amazing!
Working with Tanya was one of the greatest, most meaningful, and rewarding parts of our wedding planning process. Tanya is an ACTUAL lifesaver. I was feeling so anxious about officiating my best friends wedding. I did not want to let him down… But it was getting down to the wire and I needed help. She was such a knowledgeable and helpful resource. Just knowing that I had a professional to lean on, instantly took the weight off my shoulders. She was so calm and collected and easy to work with - the exact opposite (and antidote) to how I was feeling before I found her! I vividly remember coming across The Vow Whisperer on Instagram -- After reviewing Tanya's unique work, I prayed that she would be available to lead our wedding ceremony, the most important piece of our wedding day. She was! Phew!
Throughout the planning process, Tanya was professional, supportive, and an absolute joy to work with. We leaned on her for guidance, and while she supported our desires, we appreciated the fact that she was not afraid to share her opinion as well. Tanya did not officiate for us, but she trained my officiant and helped us to write our vows. I didn’t have a planner so planning a ceremony on top of everything else felt daunting. It’s hard to put into words exactly how impactful Tanya was on our wedding experience, but in short we give her our highest recommendation! We found Tanya by searching for officiants in the NY area, and immediately was attracted to the aesthetics and values that she presented on her website. Tanya provides expertise in many services including vow creation, ceremony curation and as an officiant, but what immediately became clear in our first consult with her is that her true skill is in understanding her clients as individuals and couples, and integrating herself into the appropriate roles that match the couples needs. We are individuals from different cultural backgrounds that had ideas about how we wanted to incorporate both of our values, and Tanya worked with us to sift through all our ideas and create a ceremony that exactly fit our beliefs, desires and ceremony logistics. With regard to timelines, she is prompt in communication and helped us keep to timelines that she established for us, while maintaining flexibility as she truly understands the complexities of process that her clients are going through. Our final product was a ceremony that included both her and another family member as officiants which was executed with precision and comfort and beauty. Even though we didn’t take full advantage of her services in crafting vows, we felt so comfortable with her being part of our special day as she took genuine interest in getting to know us personally and operated with great respect for the moment we were sharing together. She is supported by a wonderful assistant, Queenie, who helped facilitate all our meetings and also adapted to our needs with flexibility.

We are a British same-sex couple who dreamed of getting married in the heart of New York and Tanya and Paula were an integral part of making this happen.
As we are UK based this poses challenges with the time difference, but Tanya expertly ensured that this was never an issue- she expertly accommodated us & walked us through the wedding ceremony, providing us plenty of example texts to use and helping to discuss our relationship and what made it unique. This meant that we had truly customised service and ceremony.
Tanya was incredibly punctual and super supportive (and very gracious when having to chase us when we were late updating information!)- her dedication and expert knowledge meant our wedding service meant the world to us.
She encouraged us to think about what we truly wanted for the service; key words that we wanted to use, any additional meaningful ceremonial traditions etc and this led us to bring in some slightly different aspects. We then decided to include a flower garland exchange as a nod to my wife’s Hindu heritage which was just beautiful. I don’t think we would have thought of including this if we hadn’t had such in depth discussions and encouragement from Tanya.
Paula was our officiant on the day- she was absolutely lovely- welcoming, kind, and nothing was too much trouble. We loved that she took the time to check important details (like name pronunciation of the wedding party), which could be seen as small, but are super important for your wedding service.
Our friends and family all commented on our service- how beautifully constructed it was and how well it was delivered by Paula.

I heard Tanya on betches brides in 2021 before I was engaged and I knew that I wanted to at least have her be a part of the vow writing process for myself and my now husband. I loved the idea of us having a third party hearing and seeing both of our vows to ensure we had similar amounts of humor, seriousness, and lengths. We ended up hiring Tanya to officiate our wedding as well and we were so happy with the vow and ceremony creation process. Nothing is one size fits all with Tanya and we felt every detail was tailored to us as a couple. She met with us several times individually to practice and coach us on our public speaking with the vows and even met with me the morning of the wedding in the bridal suite to go over it one more time. She is truly a professional and knows when to get out of the way for photos during the ceremony - she even sat on the stairs of our venue while we delivered our vows to each other! We are still receiving compliments on our ceremony and vows over a month after our wedding! Tanya was a joy to work with from start to finish and I would recommend her to anyone!

In the months leading up, we worked with Tanya to craft the ceremony and she was always very responsive and quickly incorporated our thoughts. Many times she had the additional job of interpreting our feedback and what we wanted, which wasn't always clear/cohesive. But the finished product spoke for itself and the ceremony was perfect and expertly delivered.
She also did a review of our vows, which helped make them similar in tone and length. This was very helpful!

I had the pleasure of working with Tanya Pushkine/The Vow Whisperer in preparation for a wedding that I co-officiated in February 2023 in Hawaii. The wedding was uniquely special for me because my son was getting married. Tanya offered helpful suggestions which enhanced the ceremony. She was persistent in working with me and my co-officiant to make sure the ceremony was entertaining, comprehensive, and met the needs of my son and his fiancé. Tanya was very flexible in scheduling our Zoom meetings, many of which took place in the evenings and on weekends. Best of all, Tanya was a lot of fun to work with!

Words cannot express how grateful we were to find Tanya. She helped us create a very personalized wedding ceremony and more importantly helped us in writing our vows. I have two reflections when writing this review about the Vow Whisperer (Tanya Pushkine) - 1) Working with Tanya elevated our wedding from one that was simply a blast to something that asked my partner and I to center ourselves, be reflective and vulnerable, and to connect with each other in the form of a beautiful, thoughtful ceremony that reflected our shared past, present, and future. This, in turn, created a stronger bond with and amongst our guests - resulting in a more meaningful and memorable day.
2) Tanya is passionate about her work. We worked with many vendors for our wedding, and out of all of them, Tanya’s passion and care for her work stands out. She worked with us to make sure that we were prepared for our ceremony, logistically and in making sure our words were well crafted and true.
Several months after our wedding, I still reflect on the power and impact of Tanya’s work on our wedding and am grateful that we found her and worked with her.

From our first meeting with Tanya, we knew she was the person we wanted to officiate our ceremony. She had a genuine interest in learning about us and our love story. She took the time to get to know us and make sure that she too felt she’d be a good fit. I highly recommend Tanya as an officiant and as a vow coach!! We were so lucky to have her for our NYC wedding. She made our ceremony the highlight of the evening! We are especially grateful to her for encouraging us to write our own vows, as we weren’t planning to do that at first (but now can’t picture it any other way!). Although we had no prior knowledge of the other’s vows, our vows were coordinated and complemented each other in the best way, no doubt thanks to her thoughtful questionnaires and methods! Her coaching was invaluable and made the difference in making our vows the most memorable part of the ceremony. She also encouraged me to read the letter I wrote to my late sister as part of our ceremony as well, and I am grateful to her for that. Additionally, Tanya’s delivery during the ceremony was flawless, classy and thoughtful. She truly made the difference, and we could not recommend her more!!
The ceremony and the vows were probably the MOST important part of the wedding to my husband and me and Tanya helped us to ensure it was perfect! Her guidance and advice helped us to put our pens to paper and write the perfect vows. Tanya was an incredible instructor when it came to practicing our vows before the big day and gave us excellent feedback and advice. Everyone told us our vows and the ceremony was one of the most beautiful they've ever seen and we owe Tanya a big thank you for that! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because Tanya is not cheap - but she is worth it if you truly want your ceremony and vows to be spectacular. Thanks Tanya!
My husband is a high school English teacher, so I knew his vows were going to blow mine out of the water. In my search for "how to write memorable vows" I came across Tanya, and I'm so glad I did. She helped me organize my disjointed ideas into a flowing, articulate speech. She coached me in public speaking and helped me feel more comfortable speaking in front of 150 people! She even facetimed with me the day before my wedding, which really helped with my nerves. After the ceremony, SOOO many people came up to me and told me how amazing my vows were. Seriously, I think more people complimented ME than my English teacher husband. I'm so grateful I found Tanya. She was crucial in making my vows special and memorable.
Tanya was wonderful to work with from our vows to our unique ceremony to being calm and present on our wedding day - she made everything so easy and perfect! To be honest, my fiancé and I didn’t want to hire anyone we knew. It was a second marriage for both of us. Off the cuff stories or personal references was NOT what we wanted. After speaking to Tanya, she broke down the ceremony and offered small readings we could weave together to present the message we were hoping for. Not only was it the words and how they tied together, but it was obvious Tanya prepared for her part, with soft pauses and acknowledging looks that made us feel the focus was completely about us.
Working with Tanya was so special! I can't recommend the experience enough. Even if you think that you are a good public speaker (I don't think I am), working with Tanya is much more than just helping you deliver your message. Anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows how stressful it is, especially in the weeks leading up to the day of the event. When vendors would ask me what my “theme” or my “vision” for my wedding day was, I would respond, “us.” It was so important that the essence of mine and my partner’s relationship would shine through the hustle and bustle of my wedding day. It sounds silly, but I knew that if I did not find the right vendors for the day of, that so many important moments I was so looking forward to might be overshadowed by worry. But with Tanya, I felt at ease, and she did not disappoint. She made sure to take the time to craft the perfect ceremony, decorated with words and readings that so beautifully demonstrated who we are as a couple. Not only did I feel relaxed, but the excitement I felt was unlike anything I could have imagined, and our guests walked away from our ceremony (even out of town relatives and family friends who we did not know well) expressing how much they now felt they knew us as a couple. Tanya was really helpful with vows. Her questionnaire really helped me put my thoughts together in a cogent structure. I’m not great at expressing myself so her help really made the process much simpler and easier.
