We had our eye on TJ Shull Photography to do our wedding photos before we even got engaged and we are so glad to have had him as a part of our wedding day. We are in love with the beautiful photos, thank you TJ!

We just got our engagement photos back from TJ and they’re beyond our wildest dreams and perfect. He captured our vision with ease! He had the perfect off grid spot at the Grand Canyon for sweeping views, and did some amazing light work in the pines as well. He was so easy to chat with during our day, knew how to pose us so we didn’t appear awkward, and even helped with outfit suggestions to tie things together. We cannot wait for him to photograph our wedding day!!

I hired TJ to take photos of my proposal to my fiancé in the Phoenix Art Museum and he was amazing. He helped me out with picking a spot to propose in the museum and had so many great ideas on how to make the proposal a surprise. His creativity shines through in his portfolio and we're very happy with the photos we got!

We had THE best experience with TJ photographing our wedding in October! We were introduced to his work by our 90-day coordinator team at Laki Events and were instantly drawn to the bright colors in his portfolio on his website and Instagram - go check it out for yourself if this is the style you are looking for. His level of organization in coordinating a day-of schedule and shot list leading up to the big day was very detailed and appreciated. He made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and his communication style was so impressive wrangling our large wedding party and family size. He scouted some beautiful, unique locations at our venue for a variety of different backgrounds. We especially loved the Polaroids he left at the dinner table for us during the reception as a preview of our day and the mind-blowing turnaround time of getting sneak peeks the very next morning. Our full set of photos has now come in and he and his second shooter Ricardo captured the day so perfectly. Beyond grateful and will definitely reach out for future photography needs!

Where do I begin when it comes to TJ, our wedding photographer. He was one of the very first vendors we chose, per recommendation of Cedar and Sage Weddings (if she recommends someone, I highly advise you trust her and hire them). We had a very specific vision for what we wanted our photos to look like. All over we were seeing the trend of muted hues & brownish filters, but we wanted bright, colorful, vibrant. We wanted our wedding photos to POP. The second we opened TJ’s website we saw a photo of rings on top of a purple bouquet, & the purple stood out exactly how we wanted the colors of our wedding to. We were getting married in the woods & we didn’t want the trees to look burnt & boring - we wanted to capture the vibrance & greenery of the day. That’s exactly what TJ did. Our engagement session was so much fun. TJ recommended some of his favorite spots in the woods of Northern AZ, he directed us patiently, & he captured our personalities & how we are together in such a way that it felt like he had already known us for years. On wedding day - TJ quickly realized how quirky our friend group can be, & he got shots that show the friendships we have with our bridal party perfectly. He put priority on making sure we got the best photos during golden hour, & I can already tell from the sneak peeks he sent us that we will have a hell of a time choosing favorites to frame. Every single one we’ve seen so far has blown us away. I was worried about time on the big day, & said if we didn’t have the time to do a first look with my dad that it was okay. But TJ kept us on track & made it happen. And now I will cherish this memory with my father forever. Not only does TJ work well with the bride, groom & bridal party, he works great with the other vendors on site, even during the times that it gets a little hectic. He will also pop out his Polaroid camera to snag a few shots and you’ll get to go home with a few Polaroids for a vintage look back on the day 🤍 Thank you so much, TJ, for capturing these memories we will hold onto forever. TJ did an amazing job for all our wedding picture needs! We hired TJ for our engagement shoot and our destination wedding in Puerto Rico. He did a great job in listening to us and making us feel heard, and most importantly we felt very comfortable with him throughout the whole process. We were looking for traditional wedding photos but also the candid moments that are hard to capture. He got the assignment and truly delivered that. TJ was amazing all around. I am not the most comfortable in front of a camera and he helped me and my husband feel confident, comfortable, and know exactly what to do! The morning for the bridesmaids did not go exactly as planned but TJ was flexible and quick to make adjustments so we still received all the shots we were wanting. He is exactly what I hoped for in a wedding photographer and I would recommend him to anyone!

We were referred to TJ by another photographer because he was familiar with our venue (Desert Botanical Gardens). He was so fantastic and very professional. He sent us a shot list and schedule well in advance of our wedding. On the day of, he was punctual and detailed. He did a great job of sticking to the timing of the schedule. He was friendly and personable with us, the wedding party and all of our guests. Our photos from the event are AMAZING! You can tell he is dedicated to getting great shots with the right lighting and angles. He captured the day perfectly and we couldn't be any happier with how our pictures came out. I cannot say enough great things about TJ. I originally found him after he shot my best friends wedding. Throughout our engagement and wedding I was impressed by his responsiveness and the ease of working with him but most notably how quickly he got our photos back to us. When we found Thomas, he did another round of engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. They came out better than we could have dreamed. There was not a single bad picture in the set! We hired the Phoenix Wedding Photographer TJ to be our wedding photographer and would 100% recommend him without hesitation! His engagement/wedding package was at the top of our budget, and was worth every penny we spent and more. His communication style is timely and professional. It was a breeze to book our engagement session and wedding prep meetings with him. Our engagement session day turned out to be a rare completely overcast day in the Phoenix desert, and TJ kindly gave us the option to reschedule. We chose to proceed, and even in suboptimal conditions, his photos are stunning reflections of our love for each other and natural desert landscape. Leading up to our wedding, TJ provided us with a well organized agenda to ensure all our desired family, friends, and wedding party were included for portraits. On the day of the wedding, TJ was essentially a second wedding coordinator, making sure everyone was in position at the right place and time for pictures. He allows everyone to look natural with subtle suggestions for poses and small adjustments to make everyone look their best. In addition to photographing us, our families, and wedding party he somehow managed to also get photos of every guest in some fashion. We're talking one person taking on a party of 100 people! He provided us with a large highlight gallery within one week of the wedding and a full gallery of 100s of photos within 4 weeks. Our wedding photos evoke tears and smiles and laughter as we look through them. TJ has immortalized the happiest day of our lives and all the emotions we felt that day. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him, and we truly feel that our wedding day was kept on track because of TJ's guidance and direction. TJ was incredible start to finish. He took care of managing all the details so I didn’t have to worry about anything, and captured the exact fairytale look we were going for! What I love about TJ’s photos is that they are full of depth and color and also very natural too, not washed out or overly posed. He gave us great tips, was very professional and reliable, and was both efficient and calm when we ran on a tighter schedule than planned. VERY reasonably priced especially for what gorgeous work he produces and also super fast turnaround!! I seriously couldn’t be more pleased and I am so glad we went with TJ to capture our special day!

We hired TJ for our small, courthouse wedding and are so glad that we did! He was very helpful leading up to that day and gave us some insight on how the whole courthouse process would go. He came prepared for our initial meet and greet, providing us with his experience, his portfolio and his vision to capture our wedding day. We loved the nature elements he created from other weddings he photographed and knew he was the perfect photographer for our wedding day in the desert. He provided us with a questionnaire early on and provided us with a timeline, he was very clear in communicating and he took the time to listen and learn what details we wanted for our wedding. On the day of, he did a phenomenal job, he was prompt, provided clear direction - from the wedding details, first look, ceremony, family photos, cocktail hour, reception, dances, speeches, after party. He captured every moment and we enjoy reliving all the details. He even provided polaroid photos that he left at our sweetheart table, giving us a sneak peek at our photos. Tj is the most professional but also easy going photographer I’ve ever encountered. He made our maternity shoot so easy and fun! I’ve never felt more comfortable taking photos before. Not to mention they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Highly recommend. It really doesn’t get any better.

TJ is such an incredible individual to work with. He is highly organized, efficient, detailed, and extremely talented at what he does. He thoroughly gets to know each couple and was such a joy to be around. He is flexible, creative, and captured so many fun moments throughout the day and night. I love the vibrancy of his photos and the way all of the colors pop. He also really helped us with posing for some of our shots as we are not the best with that haha. His polaroid package is a very fun way to have something immediately at the end of the night to look back on and I'm really happy we decided to go that route. Additionally he created a beautiful album for us that will be arriving shortly and I can't wait to see all of my favorite photos in print. We were married in March and I am super late to writing this but I can't thank TJ enough for being the perfect wedding photographer!

TJ was fantastic. From the first consult call to the delivery of our wedding pictures, TJ has been a delight to work with. He was extremely understanding and flexible when we had to postpone due to the pandemic. We were lucky enough to have him take both of our engagement and wedding photos. He has thought through each shoot in terms or location and time of day. He takes sooo many pictures including on an instax camera for a lofii medium, and makes sure not to miss a moment. TJ made us feel comfortable throughout the whole experience by helping us not feel silly with our poses. Turnaround time for the digital images was faster than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate to work with TJ again! He's the best.

The guy was everywhere for 2 days…. He was at every event, took a countless number of pictures, plus he is such a great guy…. He had thought out all the possible places that pictures should be taken and of all the different groups and had them all scheduled around our times, not his. 5th father of the bride’s wedding and this guy is really great… Below, I don’t know what The Knot is, so I don’t know if they helped by daughter find this vendor or not…

All I could say when we got our photos back was WOW! TJ is the absolute best there is. We could not recommend him more. He is super knowledgeable about all the amazing hidden gems of Arizona and can give plenty of advice on choosing the right spot. However, none of that compares to his eye for the perfect lighting and direction for posing. He clearly has a ton of experience, with his attention to details that we never would have thought of. We are not the most photogenic, but he made us feel and look amazing! There was not a single bad picture in the bunch and he captured so many incredible shots. We couldn’t believe how quickly he got them back to us too! You would think pictures this amazing would take so much longer. Thomas photographed our wedding in July. We could not be more happy with our pictures. He is truly incredible photographer. He made the wedding seamless. He formed a timeline that fit our wedding. WOW! Just wow! Thomas not only took amazing photos, but captured an entire storyline of our wedding. Each photo has me craving and laughing because he was able to catch all the big and special moments. Thomas was also a great sport and super helpful when getting ready. Unbelievable photos and customer service from TJ. His quality of work is like no other photographer out there. We did our engagement photo shoot with him and our wedding day. He is very easy to communicate with and a fun guy to hang out with. He is professional, respectful, and hardworking. I cannot say enough amazing things about TJ. We found him when our own photographer fell through, and I could not be happier with how things worked out. He went to our venue with us a few weeks prior to scope out the best spots for pictures, and was very patient with me and helping my vision of come to life. He was extremely organized ahead of time providing us a detailed timeline, but also very organized day of in keeping everything on schedule. He worked tirelessly (despite 90 degrees of Phoenix heat) to get great angles and great shots and he was a pleasure to be around. Most importantly - his work was FANTASTIC. I am obsessed with our photos. He gave us a "highlight reel" the following day! And we just got all the shots of our night back and honestly there are so many I am having a hard time narrowing down our favorites. Hands down would recommend him over and over again.

TJ was AMAZING to work with throughout our entire engagement and wedding process. I am extremely picky about photos. I wanted a photo editing style that looked great, but also was timeless. Sometimes some of the presets and editing that other photographers use can look outdated after just a few years. TJs editing style is truly TIMELESS! I want these photos to hang on our walls forever! TJ has a way of making the colors so true and vivid. TJ is also extremely responsive and has an amazing turn around time. TJ got us ALL of our wedding photos back within 4 weeks which was incredible. Your photos are truly your only way to relive the amazing day and I am SO happy we went with TJ. I was a "COVID Bride" and had to deal with rescheduling and everything, but TJ made it stress free. He worked with us every step of the way, even meeting us for coffee with his team to ensure we were in great hands. I wanted a photographer who was personable, and would pick great poses, make sure our hair and everything looked great, and his team did an amazing job! We both have big families and they did an amazing job of organizing everyone. We also did our engagement photos with TJ and LOVED all of the options of places he could shoot them at. TJ was wonderful to work with - from the engagement to the wedding day. We were impressed with his photography, since he uses a lot of natural lighting. He is really great at landscape photos and we were very happy with how they turned out in Sedona. As for the wedding day, TJ was very cooperative and was able to not only get the bride, groom, and the bridal party/groomsmen, but was also able to include family and friends! Overall, we enjoyed his style of shooting and love the natural lighting he utilizes.

I found Thomas from Facebook and I am so grateful for it! He took us to Fossil Creek for our save the dates and the hike was so fun and we was so easy to get along with, he even did super great with out pup! We also had him for our reception and our day would not have been the same without him. How he managed the amount of people and got every possible shot is beyond me. I highly recommend Thomas!
