Three Rivers String Quartet

We hired Three Rivers String Quartet for our wedding. With all the changes that COVID brought along, Christina was beyond accommodating. She thoroughly communicated with us timely, had helpful suggestions, was professional, and above all the quartet’s talent was recognized by all of our (socially distanced and masked up) wedding ceremony guests. I cannot recommend them enough. They even learned 2 songs specifically for our celebration. They truly made our day unique and we are so thankful!

Great music and easy to work with! Christina made sure every detail of the music was perfect! We even had a special song we wanted played and she found it and it sounded amazing.

Christina and the Three Rivers Spring Quartet were fabulous to work with. We recently got married @ The National Aviary last weekend 10/12/19 and the process was seamless. The music was beautiful and I wish I could have gotten a chance to say hello in person!

Music was key in enhancing our beautiful ceremony at the Carnegie Museum. The Three Rivers String Quartet members are exceptional musicians without question, but they were also easy to work with, very organized, and completely professional. They have an extensive repertoire and will also add songs that are not on their list. We were so happy that they were available for our wedding.....they lived up to our high expectations!

Three Rivers String Quartet was so, so easy to work with and really added so much to my ceremony. It was actually a lot of fun to look through their (huge!) list of songs they can play to decide on the music I wanted, and they exceeded all of my expectations when it came to the ceremony and I heard them play in person. As a gift to my daughter I booked the Three Rivers Quartet and everyone there raved about the music. They played during the social cocktail hour and just brought class and sophistication to an already elegant event. The Quartet arrives early and has a seamless set up and closing. I would highly recommend them for their price, selections, and appropriate attire. They kept in touch during the timeframe and planning. They provide a detailed contract and have a great website.

I hired the Three Rivers String Quartet to play for my cocktail hour. I asked them to choose upbeat selections for my guests to have fun while they mingle. The quartet choose some awesome songs to fit our taste. Among our guests favorites were Marry You by Bruno Mars, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Sweet Caroline. Our guests were even singing along! My fiance, now husband, requested Sweet Child of Mine and they nailed it complete with the guitar solo on violin. My guests are still talking about the music. I highly recommend them for your wedding!

I got married at Heinz Chapel and the music played by the Three Rivers String Quartet was as beautiful as the chapel. It was amazing. So professional and the timings on all the music was just perfect. Many thanks to Christina and her crew for making our day just like I had dreamed!

Three Rivers String Quartet was a the perfect compliment to our ceremony. We had them choose the music and only told them that we wanted Canon in D for my processional. Christina choose the rest of the music and provided sound clips for me to hear some of the recessional pieces for me to choose. We decided to go with Hornpipe. The selections she choose were perfect and set the tone for the ceremony. She worked with my coordinator prior to the wedding and everything was flawless.... even as my 2 year old flower girl ran back up the aisle they kept the music going. The Three Rivers String Quartet made our big day so special with all of the music they played. All of the music I wanted for our ceremony and cocktail hour they were able to find and arrange for us. Christina and her crew were phenomenal at our wedding ceremony. They handled my two custom song requests like pros. They also have a huuuuge library of songs to choose from, from classics to contemporary. My photographer even said this was the best string quartet he ever worked with!

Three rivers string quartet was absolutely amazing. My husband and I got married at the outdoor garden at Phipps Conservatory and the music and elegance from the music couldn’t have fit better. Christina was the one I spoke with along the way and she was incredible. At one point I had sent a payment to the wrong PayPal account. This professional group of musicians added that something extra to make the difference between great and exceptional. Their talents made the ceremony come alive and set the atmosphere for the reception. They were the added extra that filled in the gaps to help make all my daughters wishes, for her wedding, come true.

Loved that they played other than classical music, they were on time and continued to play all the songs we paid for even after the last guest moved from the ceremony venue to the reception venue. A wonderful addition to my daughter’s big day. Would highly recommend!

Found Three Rivers Quartet while searching the Web for my daughter’s wedding on 8/4/18. Christina promptly responded. They have a seemingly limitless catelog of music. Communications prior to the wedding were timely and they began playing 30 minutes prior to the service. As many of the guests were musicians, everyone appreciated and enjoyed their performance. I would highly recommend Christina and company.

Three Rivers String Quartet was absolutely amazing. They worked with me, finding sheet music for all of the songs I requested. They even had our wedding song custom arranged since sheet music wasn’t available. And mailed me a copy of the sheet music after our wedding. I recommend them every chance I get.

The Three Rivers String Quartet was simply the best choice we made for our wedding. The planning was really simple and we were surprised how easy Christina made everything. We filled out a planning sheet and Christina did the rest. She coordinated everything with our planner including cues and everything was executed flawlessly. The Three Rivers String Quartet performed for my daughter's wedding. These are top notch musicians, and if you want the best for your wedding, this is the group to hire. We heard the quartet perform at a bridal show and we knew that this was the perfect group for her wedding. We initially only wanted them for the ceremony but they offer a big discount on the second hour so we had them play for both. They performed contemporary pieces for the cocktail hour and classical for the ceremony. The guests are still talking about the music.

Christina and her group were exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I researched a few other local string groups for my wedding but the Three Rivers String Quartet emerged as the friendliest, most experienced, and most organized of all groups. They had a large selection of music immediately available and I loved that Christina was the planner and also one of the violinists for my event. She listened to what I wanted for my wedding and she made it happen. The musicians even found and learned a few odd pieces for me that we requested a short time before the wedding. Christina and her players are thoughtful and experienced. My program was specific and intricate in its execution and she was kind and willing to help. She took every step needed to learn the pieces and to coordinate them with the planners and eloquently during the ceremony. She was so kind to provide an artist such as myself the liberty of suggesting the style in which certain songs be played, we discussed it together, and luckily she agreed that it worked very well. I was lucky to corroborate with Christina in general, because each player was highly skilled and knew timing and performance cues better than most; as well as coming away from the ceremony I felt a sense of closure at hearing what we had discussed so elegantly depicted on that day; working with her to discuss the choices had been creatively lovely for me as an artist and because she is a lovely person. Three Rivers String Quartet was perfect! They played during our ceremony and cocktail reception and we couldn't have been more impressed with them. Christina, on extremely short notice, organized a lovely performance at our wedding. She and her quartet even learned a traditional Persian song on short notice, without sheet music. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without her or the quartet. We felt so lucky to find them.

I don't know how to truly express how grateful I am to this company of artists. To any bride that is wondering if you should make the leap and have a string quartet I would say .... your crazy not to! And the only reason I can say that is because of this group right here.... they exceeded any and all expectations, Christina truly did an amazing job with switching things up when we found out our Catholic church would not allow us to play the songs we originally wanted .... and with one phone call she had it all together in a split second! She worked with my budget and for that I am forever grateful and our family and friends couldn't say enough about how beautiful they sounded.... And what a pleasure they truly were. Absolutely professional and you can count of them for not only a beautiful show but the experience they have to make a quick move and the right move to go with the flow of YOUR wedding.... Christina thank you, and thank you for my extra song at the end of my ceremony while we were taking pictures at the alter. She played the song i was not originally allowed to have as i walked down the isle, but we WERE allowed to play it as we took pictures after the service. I had the Three Rivers String Quartet play for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour on 6-25-16. They were amazing! Christina was so nice and easy to work with and planning everything was really stress-free. They played beautifully outside on an extremely hot day (which I felt bad about)! I loved the music and I think everybody else did too, as I got tons of compliments. I think their prices are very reasonable. Hire them, you won't regret it!

Absolutely beautiful ceremony musicians! Our guests are still complimenting us on our musicians for our ceremony. Questions/concerns were quickly answered, huge variety of music to chose from, and we had the option to have someone compose music for us if they did not have the songs we wanted. I had the Three Rivers String Quartet play for my June 25, 2016 wedding. I am a musician myself, and music was the most important aspect of the wedding to me. I had always wanted a string quartet to play at my ceremony, so I began researching string quartets in the Pittsburgh area. I found this group, and I'm so happy I did! I based the date of my wedding around the availability of both the string quartet and the band at my reception. The responses from Christina through the whole process were very quick and helpful. I wanted a special song for my husband and his groomsmen to walk in to, so I asked Christina if they could do an arrangement of the Jurassic Park theme song. They did, and it surprised my husband (and the other guys, too) so much that he almost cried! I have heard nothing but wonderful comments about the Three Rivers String Quartet from guests who attended the wedding. If you are considering having a string quartet, this is the group you want! I only wish I could have heard them more!

They did a fantastic job! During the planning process Christina answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly to help with the planning. Their guide and song suggestions on the website was helpful, as well. I got nothing but rave reviews about them from my guests at the wedding. I cannot express how amazing this quartet is: Christina was WONDERFUL to work with. I requested a specific song for walking down the aisle, and she found the exact version I wanted, and it was perfect! I also requested that they start another song at a specific time, and they nailed it. We hired the Three Rivers String Quartet for our wedding this past May. They were very detail oriented, great at communication, were able to play the pieces we requested, and met my coordinator early to make sure the timing was perfect. My church recommended Three Rivers String Quartet to play for my wedding in September. They were amazing and very easy to work with. They arrived early to rehearse with my vocalist (she sang Ave Maria with them) and they played along with the organist for my processionals. They were, by far, the easiest vendor to work with for my wedding. I chose my processional music and they played a beautiful catholic prelude that they chose themselves. I continue to hear from my guests how beautiful the music was. You will be so glad you hired them!

I got married in September in the Carnegie Museum Hall of Sculpture, and I thought the space needed something more elegant than a DJ. Three Rivers String Quartet sounded beautiful, and was able to play both traditional Jewish songs as well as Top 40 hits. I requested a song that was not on their repertoire list and Christina quickly managed to find it for me, which was much appreciated. Christina and the rest of the Quartet were everything we could have hoped for. They were extremely easy to work with from start to finish. They never gave us any problems. To be more specific, our wedding was outside and they provided their own tent. They adjusted on the fly and continued when our wedding was running a little late. They hit ever cue during the wedding and their musical timing was perfect. They already knew or were able to learn whatever song we wanted them to play. They played my wedding about 2 weeks ago and did a fabulous job. So many of my guests gushed about how much they loved their music. It really added such a beautiful ambiance to our wedding ceremony/cocktail hour. They let us customize our wedding songs too so we had super fun non-traditional songs throughout our ceremony (The groomsmen walked down the aisle to the Game of Thrones theme song).
