We hired Three Roots Floral Design (formally Three Roots Education) to do our florals. First we wanted the basics (bouquets, boutineres etc) but down the road we were able to afford centerpieces & Three Roots was able to do it with no complaint... which we greatly appreciated at first.
Fast forward to the morning of our wedding… I’m getting ready in the bridal suite and I decide to text the florist where our flowers were since it’s almost time for our first look. She states she dropped them off that morning and they are in a beverage cooler outside.. I was a little
Confused as to why they were in a cooler.. husband and maitre D find our florals and find that my bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets are wrapped in ONLY rubber bands & not ribbon as per contract. When I recieved my flowers, they looked slightly wilted which was of course upsetting. I asked the florist where the ribbon was and she said it was in the box.. my maitre d couldn’t find the ribbon so my amazing photographer & maitre d stopped their duties for a moment and scrambled to find other ribbon and wrapped our bouquets themselves. We found the ribbon the florist told us about MUCH later in the bottom of the box. Fast forward.. we are told by staff that the florist arrived Saturday 11/12/2022 (Saturday) and dropped our flowers off during an event (there was a tour and tasting) she spoke to the owner , (who is fantastic btw) and said she was there to drop off the flowers for the wedding of that day. Owner said okay great, the bride is upstairs.. owner then told me “a few minutes later the florist lady came over to me, significantly distressed, informed me that she was actually the florist for your wedding, not the wedding that day (Saturday), and stated to me several times that the bride (you) had mistakenly informed them that the wedding was “on the 12th”. Which is false.. as per my contract and in the description of our payments to her, it always said 11.13.2022. We also NEVER told her anything about the 12th. A few days before the wedding she asked us to fill a questionaire Which I sent promptly.. she stated in the questionaire as well that delivery time is typical 1-2hrs prior to ceremony. **Also, no where in the contract does it state anything about delivering florals days prior. When it was time to pay our final invoice, we felt we had to chase her asking for the payment link. We were told she would send it, days later.. no link. She then emailed my husband saying she sent it.. my husband double checked everywhere and he did not receive a link so he kindly asked it to be resent. Then again , we had to wait and wait… till we finally received it. Yesterday, she tried to put the blame on us saying “Payment was also received with less than two weeks notice due to a round about “loss” of email access on your end.” But I gave her a backup email.. two of my husbands emails AND she could of sent the link via Instagram which we were also talking through frequently. When confronted she never apologized for lying to my husband and i & the venue. I also believe our flowers weren’t looking as good as they should because the flowers were probably cut 48hrs in advance. There is more to add but there is a character limit. I am also awaiting the refund she promised us and an email response. These are facts backed up by screenshots and witnesses.
