Too Sweet Cakes

Too Sweet was our bakery of choice because we loved a sample cake we tried. Nothing about the cake tasted commercial... especially the frosting. We choice a three-tier cake and cupcakes to supplement serving 100 people. Pictures were sent to them of the desired design. Somehow they thought we just wanted a blank cake with white frosting to decorate with real flowers. Luckily that got caught but upon seeing the design again, Crystal asked if we wanted fondant and I said no due to the cost and taste. I said I preferred buttercream. Apparently the design I chose (flowers going down the side of the cake) shouldn't have been done in buttercream on a hot day. So... a few days before the wedding I found out that the venue did not have a commercial refrigerator for the cake. I didn't think it would be a problem because it was air conditioned. In the end, it was an old building on a hot day so it wasn't that cool and after the cake sat for three hours, the buttercream flowers started to melt down the side. I just wish that we had been told that the design I wanted would not work in buttercream on a hot day. The communication was all done over email and I never spoke to nor met with the bakery. i think that could have been improved on. That said, it was a pretty cake before it started to melt and most importantly, it tasted amazing and the cupcakes as well. Everyone who had cake agreed.

We trusted Too Sweet Cakes with our wedding cake and were not dissappointed! The cake turned out amazing and the staff were super communicative. Crystal, you are amazing for answering all of my questions and helping me select how much cake I would need. Overall really great experience. My husband and I took the top tier of our cake and ate it on our honeymoon :)

DELICIOUS doesn't begin to describe the treats from Too Sweet Cakes! We were so so glad they are in Phoenix! Everyone was raving about the cupcakes and donuts! They were the perfect sweet treat to end our wedding!

Too Sweet provided delicious cupcakes, dessert shots, and of course an amazing three-tiered wedding cake. They were easy to coordinate with and adjust the number of desserts once guest count was finalized. We tried some of their cupcakes and treats and loved everything! Nothing was too sweet which sometimes happens with all the frosting on cupcakes. They were easy to coordinate with for flavor tastings. It was difficult to narrow down the choices because all the cakes were so good. The dessert shots were a big hit with our wedding guests and the mini cupcakes were dangerously good and were the perfect size to walk by and pop in your mouth a few too many times. We recommend Too Sweet again and again.

We loved having a big dessert table at our wedding thanks to Too Sweet Cakes! Our guests loved the variety that was offered, and we received a lot of feedback that the desserts tasted amazing! We chose to have a small wedding cake, dessert shots, mini cupcakes, and dessert bars. With a wide range of flavor options, we really couldn't go wrong with what Too Sweet Cakes had to offer! The desserts were delicious! But honestly the company's communication and organization was lacking.

Too Sweet Cakes made a beautiful and delicious wedding cake for my daughter's wedding. We needed a cake last minute and they came through for us, especially Shelby. We loved the cake and were very happy!

Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing and so yummy! We did the salted caramel and red velvet flavors for our cake that we served to guests and we are saving the topper for our one year anniversary which we made German chocolate. We had a lot extra but we are happy to bring it home and enjoy it still. The design was also so simple and cute. We had our florist add some real flowers as well and we added our own custom topper. We used Too Sweet Cakes for both our rehearsal dinner desserts and our wedding reception. For the rehearsal dinner, we ordered custom sugar cookies and asked for fish (husband is a fly-fisher), insects (I am an entomologist), and the state of Oregon with J+A. And boy did they deliver! The cookies were perfect and our guests gave us so many compliments on both the look and the taste of the cookies. They came out amazing and were a great way to add personal touches to our rehearsal dinner. For the wedding, we ordered a small cake for cutting and photos, mini-doughnuts, cookies and macarons. Our guests RAVED about the desserts. The cake was beautiful!!! We gave inspiration photos and they delivered! We did not have many leftover by the end of the night because everyone wanted to try everything. The macarons were perfect, along with the cookies and mini-doughnuts. Too Sweet Cakes was so easy to work with. Alyssa was quick to respond to every email and question that I had and our desserts were ready to be picked up or delivered on time. The bakery is also a super cute place if you ever need a coffee/pastry/ beer break while you are in Bend!

Shelby did our wedding cake and cupcakes! Her deserts were sooo good and looked amazing! Her prices were also so affordable! Love supporting women entrepreneurs!

Overall, with amazing macaron flavors and delicious baked goods, Too Sweet is your go-to wedding baker in bend. Quality: 5 stars. Our guests raved about our cake and couldn't stop talking about the fruity pebble macarons. They were gone so quickly we never had a chance to try! Customer Service: 5 stars. Alyssa answered my many emails and questions. She was always nice and provided excellent customer service. I had written a previous review as I was told by my venue Too Sweet mixed up the gluten free versus regular desserts. This was not the truth and I've updated as appropriate.
