Karen has so much expertise and knows what vendors to recommend based off your style and budget. She was quick to respond to emails/texts and offer me suggestions and ideas. ch more. She was my total support system. It was refreshing to know that Karen and her team were there to handle everything for on our wedding day. She not only made me feel at ease, she was pleasant and professional even with my crazy family! Best decision I made for my wedding was to hire a wedding planner and Top Shelf in particular.

as pretty much a big fiasco due to her carelessness / unprofessionalism. She went around to my friends / vendors and had the audacity to call me a "mean bride" on my wedding day when she let so many things fall through the cracks so I was left panicking, I wasn't even being mean. Karen couldn't spell my name right so she was calling me the wrong name to my vendors the entire month leading up to my wedding. My name is marie, not Maria. And despite me signing off in emails "Marie" constantly, she only called me Maria and it became confusing for vendors. It hurt because it made me feel like my wedding didn't matter... the planner I hired couldn't even get my name right? Red flag number one. She treated my photographer like her assistant and was blaming her mistakes on her too. Which is completely uncalled for? And unheard of? It was raining during my wedding and she made a comment that she got a tent from a local business for free that we could use out front. When you think tent for a wedding you think white plain tent. Wrong. She had the audacity to put a green pickle tent in front of my venue. This was the first thing guests saw when arriving and it looked SO bad. I cringe watching my wedding video because I cannot believe someone who owns a wedding planning business would even do that to a bride? My dessert was brought out before our dinner and guests were eating it thinking it was an hors d'oeuvre. I wouldn't of known until asked me if I wanted a cupcake while I was waiting in the bridal sweet with my husband to do our grand entrance. I freaked out. So many of my items from my wedding were also broken due to the carelessness of her and her "team" when they went to pack them away for the night. My husband gave her $200 for vendor's parking and we TRUSTED her to use the money just for vendors parking. We did the math and there is absolutely NO WAY she used all $200 on parking. I never received a receipt to show what it was used for, anything. I also never heard from her after my wedding until she wanted to access the pictures / video content. I wasn't even the one directly contacted, she reached out to my photographer. Obviously my photographer reached out to me to inform me and I denied her access to my wedding pictures to use on her website because she did not help me in any way put together the wedding I had. ything from decor to vendors and the day would have not gone nearly as smooth without her there. She lifted a lot of stress off of our backs which made the day so much more enjoyable. The timeline we created together was followed to a tee and we were well ahead of schedule (which was good because there was rain in the forecast). Brittany managed the timing of us, our bridal party, families and vendors perfectly. Unfortunately, our day of there was rain for the ceremony and we had to move everything inside last minute. Brittany corralled The Herrington staff and some groomsman to help move things around. They did such a good job you would have never known that the ceremony was not planned to be there to begin with. Not only was her planning/coordinating a 10/10, but she also took the time to get to know us as a couple not just clients. You do not see that as much anymore and it made the months/weeks leading up to the wedding very enjoyable. We would recommend Top Shelf and specifically Brittany to anyone and you will not be disappointed.

time! Karen was also perfect on the day of the wedding. We didn't feel any need to worry about anything, even when our plans changed because of unexpected rain. She came up with solutions and options that made everything go smoother.. she is a warm, fun, and very likable person. Highly recommended, and it was a pleasure having her at our wedding.

She arranged a conference call with the photographer, my daughter, and me to come up with a time line broken down into 15 minute increments and the entire day ran like clock work! She contacted all of the vendors (florist, photographer, hair and makeup artists, band, limo service, lighting and draping company, cake company, etc.) and made sure that they were all on the same page. She was extremely professional, organized, kind and knowledgeable. She even arranged for lunch and volunteered to pick it up and deliver it to the bridal party while they were getting ready. She went way above and beyond her duties to ensure that the day was flawless and we never worried about a single thing! She even handled the tips for the vendors so we could just enjoy the day. I can not express enough how valuable she was and am so grateful that we hired her. She and her assistants were awesome!

Karen and her assistant arrived early on the day of our wedding and assisted with every detail from set-up, coordination of every detail, to final clean-up. We couldn't imagine having done this by ourselves. The event would not have been the success it was without here assistance on the wedding day. Top Shelf provided immense value for the actual cost of the service.
