True+Love Moments by Rev. Linda McWhorter

We could not have asked for a better officiant than Rev. Linda McWhorter. We do not live in Austin but she set up multiple Zoom meetings to walk us through the process, really get to know us, and made us feel so comfortable. We customized our vows with her help and ended up with a ceremony that couldn’t have been more perfect for us. She helped our families and bridal party practice and feel ready during the rehearsal which really made things go smoothly for the day of! And she was absolutely spectacular at delivering the ceremony. Many of our guests came up and said it was one of the best ceremonies they had been to and that was all because of Linda. She is the best!

Rev. Linda McWhorter is absolutely amazing. She is very professional, weaves your story into the ceremony beautifully. One of the big reasons that we went with Linda is because my husband’s family is bilingual and Linda did an amazing job creating a beautiful ceremony in both English and in Spanish.

Rev. Linda is a one of a kind. She is an incredibly talented human being. She met with my husband and I at a coffee shop. Little did I know that I would be tearing up that day. She asked us some very important questions (that I won't spoil) that made that day so special. She is very easy to work with and she is a very good listener. She created such a beautiful wedding ceremony for my husband and I. Her words are kind and real. There was a moment during the ceremony in which she paused to take in all the love. Everyone in the chapel could feel that love. I'm so happy that I got to have such a beautiful ceremony.

I t has been over a year and a half and guests are still complimenting us on the ceremony and Linda's speech and vows. We are not religious but we wanted a ceremony that felt spiritual and that made everyone there feel included in our love and she NAILED it. It was just so beautiful and she was so easy to work with. Linda is truly an amazing officiant. One of my main criteria when looking for an officiant was to find someone who was bilingual. I couldn't have picked someone better for the job. It was such a stressful year to plan a wedding and she truly made things smooth for us. She gave us access to her e-book which was really helpful in planning our ceremony. Linda is very professional, friendly, and caring. She was quick to respond when I reached out to her. Any questions we had she was there to answer them. Linda was beyond anything we could ask for in an officiant. She was immediately so comfortable and friendly with us when we first met her for coffee so she could get to know us. She was quick and efficient with writing our ceremony script and I loved that we could read it first and give feedback and edits. When the pandemic hit, she was flexible and supportive. Then, when we finally were able to hold the wedding, she was a calming and competent presence. We loved her, our wedding party loved her, the families loved her. I truly cannot say enough good things about her and highly recommend that any couple in the greater Austin area hire her for their wedding.

Linda was AMAZING!!! She made sure she had every detail in line for your special day. We felt very comfortable with her throughout the process and very much the day of our wedding. Did I mentioned she’s even bilingual!!! WOW!! We could not have been more grateful!!

Linda was a professional all the way yet she made it fun and super easy for us. We didn't give her much to go off of but she custom created an amazing ceremony for us! She took our lack of words and made it beautiful and still us to a T.

Linda was absolutely amazing. The ceremony she wrote was so beautiful and reflect both me and husband perfectly. She really took the time to get to know us and really personalize our ceremony to us and our family. She also checked in with us a few times before hand to make sure the outline was still perfect and that we were taking care of ourselves. Me and Susie were married about 4 months ago and every time I look back and think about our ceremony it still warms my heart and fills me with so much happiness. Rev. Linda conveyed our story with so much emotions it touched all of our friends and family- probably our vendors too. It was true and full of love. Some asked us if we've known Rev. Linda for a long time. They were amazed of how beautiful the wedding was and how they laughed and cried. We had multiple meetings with her. We're about 5 hours away from Austin so we had to do video calls but it was really easy. She's really friendly, easy to talk to, and respectful with the traditions that we'd want to incorporate. She gave us an e-book as a resource, which helped us tremendously. She helped us with our own vows too. She's timely, easy to reach, and professional. She's diverse- she was knowledgeable of our traditions and culture. I highly recommend Rev. Linda, if we'll renew our vow, we'll for sure choose her again.

I am so happy that we chose Reverend Linda to be the person to officially marry my husband and I. We live in Houston, but were planning to get married in Austin, so we looked online to find ideas for officiants. We came across Rev. Linda and had a phone call with her to see if she would be a good fit. I knew immediately that she was the person we wanted to marry us. She has such a warm and loving demeanor, and I could just tell that she loves being a part of people’s most precious day. She really put in effort to get to know us as a couple and to understand what we were looking for in our wedding ceremony. She wrote an absolutely beautiful ceremony for us and was open to any and all feedback we had in how to tweak it to make it just right for us. We chose to write our own vows, but Rev. Linda offered to review them for us to make sure we were on the same page with tone, length, etc. The ceremony turned out absolutely perfect! It was a perfect mix of serious, funny, romantic, and emotional. Rev. Linda was awesome at controlling the flow of the ceremony and “ad libbing” when needed if anything unexpected popped up (like the lapel mic not working, and her quickly making eye contact with the DJ to switch to the handheld mic). She was truly a professional and was able to execute the ceremony without missing a beat. Throughout the night we had guests coming up to compliment us on how it was one of the most personal and beautiful wedding ceremonies they had ever been to. I am so happy that we chose Rev. Linda to be a part of our wedding day and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful and personalized wedding ceremony.

We had a great experience with Rev. Linda. She was very accommodating with how we wanted our ceremony, including the bilingual parts. She conducted and delivered with the warmth and sweetness of a true friend. Communication was great from the first meeting until the big day. We're very happy to have worked with her!

Linda is a great person and we definitely clicked with her right away thinking we found the perfect match. Her books had a lot of great ideas that helped me craft the ceremony into what I wanted. That being said as we moved closer to our wedding day thing seemed to be slipping through the cracks like our names being incorrect on emails and invoices. She might have gotten upset that we brought this to her attention because the day of the wedding she seemed very annoyed and bossy. She definitely brought unnecessary stress to the day of the wedding that I didn’t need and I had to get a lot of editing done to our ceremony to take away side conversations like her loudly saying she’s going to adjust her mic and then fidgeting with the mic for 30 seconds. She couldn’t even let me enjoy my “I do” first I said “I do” and she told me to say it to my husband (I guess it seemed like I was speaking to her since she was asking the question then she stopped and tried to get me to say “yo acepto” because that’s what was originally in the script. Like with everyone watching me and all the stress I’m feeling you’re going to fixate on that and not let me have my moment. I didn’t stop you when you said “3 hijos (sons)” instead of “3 hilos (cords)“. Ive hesitated writing this review because she’s a great person but I cringe watching my wedding video and remembering how she made me feel that day.

Rev. Linda is simply the best! So if you’re searching, you can relax and be at ease knowing you’ve found the greatest officiant for your special day! We are so happy we were able to book her as we highly doubt anyone else could have given us such a beautiful and customized ceremony. I’m Catholic and my husband is Christian. Rev Linda was the perfect fit for us. We really appreciate that Linda took the time to get to know us as a couple. She even makes it a point to text the couples the day of the wedding to calm any nerves, to pray before the ceremony if desired, and she even gave me a weather report. Furthermore, Linda will send off the marriage license for the couple! Shes a godsend!

She was everything we could of hoped for! Easy to communicate with, thoughtful, prompt, and professional. We had children involved in the ceremony and as you know they are a bit unpredictable but she just went with the flow and adapted. Without her our day wouldn’t of been as great as it was. I highly recommend her services!

People thought that Linda was a family friend or had known us for years, that is how tailored and amazing her ceremony was. Rev. Linda did a fantastic job on our ceremony! I’m Canadian-American and my husband is Indian, so we decided to create a ceremony that reflected both our cultures. We weren’t sure where to start, all we knew is we wanted a ceremony that both sides of our families + friends could identify with and enjoy. Rev. Linda has tons of experience doing multicultural weddings – she’d done many Indian weddings in the past, and as a result, she had great suggestions and was quickly able to help us identify which ceremonies/traditions we most wanted to incorporate. The result was a phenomenal, special ceremony that our guests couldn’t stop talking about. Her words were so heartfelt and even though we only met a couple months before the wedding, you’d think she’d known us both for years. She also provided a booklet beforehand that give us tons of ideas for vows, readings, songs, etc, and then after the wedding, she sent a handy guide with instructions for changing my name, should I wish to do so. Can’t sing enough praises for Rev. Linda and would not hesitate to recommend her as an officiant for ANY type of ceremony.

Linda was great! our first meeting we knew we wanted her as out officiant. She is incredibly caring and was able to see our vision of what we wanted for our ceremony! she was also extremely helpful through out the entire process. On the actual day she did such an amazing job! Our ceremony was perfect :)

Linda is such a warm and sweet person. We were having an elopement wedding and she did not need to meet with us, but she did. We met with her over coffee one Saturday morning, and after 1.5 hours we left feeling like having met with a long lost family member. She listened to our love story, asked us questions about ourselves and our feelings for one another. She carefully took notes. After a few days, she sent us the beautiful ceremony outline which was so heartfelt and tailored around our love story and our relationship. She incorporated our ideas and inputs to it. One the day of the wedding, she was just like a member of the family. The ceremony was beautiful, all the women, including me were crying. She stayed back and celebrated with us over cake and champagne. She was one of the last people to leave. She hugged us and wished us well for our life together. You can easily observe that she genuinely cares about true love and the couple she is marrying.

100% recommended. Linda sat with us to hear what kind of ceremony we had in mind and offered very helpful suggestions. She also provided an e-book that help us a lot with ideas. She also gave us the full ceremony transcript beforehand so we could review it, adapt it and get it just as we wanted. At the end we came up with our own very customized bilingual ceremony and she just execute it perfectly. I honestly couldn't think of how we could've had this without her. It was a true pleasure having Linda officiate our wedding. She is very warm and comforting, which is great energy on your big day! Linda first met with us in a coffee shop and got to know our story, how we met, and the type of wedding we envisioned. She really made us comfortable with the entire process and customized the entire ceremony to our specific tastes. She has done over 1,200 weddings and her experience really shows! Linda was amazing to work with. When we sat down ahead of the wedding to talk about the ceremony, she really took the time to get to know us. From our conversations she crafted the most beautiful and personal narrative for our ceremony, and let us review it in case we wanted to tweak anything (we made almost no changes, it was great). The day of the wedding she let us know she was praying for us as it really looked like rain, and that help calm our nerves about the situation (and it didn't rain at all, yay!) Rev. Linda was a joy to work with! We came upon her after searching for a bilingual (Spanish and English) minister. When my husband and I met with her, we got nothing but good vibes and a sense of familiarity, comfort and support! She drafted the most beautiful ceremony and incorporated every element that we wanted. We wanted to do a handfasting ceremony and she offered to make the cords for us (which ended up being so meaningful and beautiful!) The day of our wedding, she performed the lovely ceremony and flawlessly transitioned from English to Spanish throughout the ceremony. We loved Rev. Linda McWhorter -- she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made me feel comfortable the moment I met her. My husband and I are non-religious so she was able to put together a beautiful secular ceremony for us that still had so much heart and soul. When we met her, she asked us a lot of questions and both of us felt super comfortable with her right away. The ceremony she wrote was beautiful. We loved it, and so did all of our guests. Our ceremony was at Chapel Dulcinea and she calmed any fears I had from having so much experience. She brought a nice bluetooth speaker to play music over the chapel and helped us arrange that so neither of us had to worry. I would highly recommend Rev. Linda! She's amazin!

We love love loved the Rev. Linda. We are muslim/prseby couple and she was able to blend our cultures and religions so gracefully and beautifully without loosing the spiritual touch. she is so eloquent and well spoken. her voice is like honey! One of my good friends used her in their non denominational wedding and she was so amazing I had to use her too! She is so detailed oriented and organized and she is such an amazing source of comfort and calm on our ceremony day. I could not recommend her more highly.

Our wedding was in September 2017 and I'm just getting around to writing reviews... but Rev. Linda was really wonderful. When we first met her, I knew she would do a great job capturing the essence of what we wanted in the ceremony narrative. We were able to customize our ceremony because she had a documents with many, many sample texts, poems, scriptures, etc. Everyone commented on how beautiful the ceremony was. Thank you Linda!

Words cannot express how wonderful Linda is. My wife and I used her for our wedding in August and her contribution was more than we ever could have asked for. Linda is patient, kind, accepting and truly loves LOVE! Her weddings are 100% customized to fit the couple. She spent an hour on the phone just getting to know who we were and understanding our love story. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony and the entire day was perfect! You would be doing yourself a favor in hiring her to officiate your wedding!

Linda is truly the best officiant I have seen! She truly makes your wedding ceremony exactly what you dream of and can definitely hold your guests attention. Linda is excellent and any couple would be lucky to have her conduct their ceremony! When we first met with Linda, my now-husband and I told her all about how we met, what we loved about each other, and the ceremony we were envisioning. She made some great suggestions and helped us figure out how to include everything we wanted in our ceremony, as well as how to balance my husband's Southern Baptist family with our more secular preferences. Linda provided a reference for some possible readings to include, and some options of vows we could use. Though we decided to write our own vows, we were able to choose some ring-exchange vows to include as well. Throughout working with us, Linda provided several drafts of our ceremony, and made all of the (nitpicky) changes we requested. She included a couple readings we had found, and in the final draft even snuck in a quote from Winnie the Pooh (which I had mentioned wanting to include, but never chose a specific one). That little touch made me realize that Linda had really listened to us and wanted to create a beautiful and personal ceremony for us. Finally, on our wedding day, Linda went above and beyond! Realizing that I had never specified what we wanted her to wear, she provided multiple options for me to be able to choose (though her assumption was already spot on). Shortly before the ceremony, Linda caught up with our ceremony musicians, to make sure they knew their cues and there were no mishaps. She also, thankfully, came prepared with copious tissues for all of my crying throughout the ceremony. Thank you for being so thoughtful, Linda! All of our guests raved throughout the reception about how lovely our ceremony had been, and that t really moved them. I am so glad we chose to go with Rev. Linda McWhorter to officiate our wedding, because I know anyone else just would not have quite gotten it right.

Rev. Linda is absolutely lovely in every single way, and made our quaint little wedding pure perfection. She is articulate, loving, kind, compassionate, and was the perfect jewel to tie everything together on our special day. The work she put into the ceremony before the wedding was profound, and it truly made us feel special. One of our biggest request was to incorporate our children (ages 10, 10, 15, 18) into the ceremony, and she had amazing heartfelt ideas. We were so blessed to have Rev. Linda McWhorter officiate our wedding. Neither of us are originally from Austin and did not have close ties to a church, so we were in need of someone who could bring a sense of spirituality to our marriage, while maintaining a light-hearted sensibility. Linda could not have been a better fit. From our very first meeting, she really honed in on our personalities and was able to express the type of vibe we wanted for our ceremony. She was very professional and was able to guide us through the ceremony with ease. On day of the wedding, there was a delay in the arrival of guests, to which Linda was very accommodating. Throughout the entire process, she made us feel like we were in good hands. Even though we had only met a few times, it felt as though we were being wed by a family friend. Linda was the biggest blessing to our wedding. She was so wonderful, professional, and kind. We were having the hardest time with picking an officiant. After our wedding guests asked us over and over "Where did you find your Reverend". Let me say I feel truly blessed to have had such great vendors and Linda is apart of that. My husband is born and raised in Chicago and our wedding was following the World Series win. Did I mention that Rev. Linda is a Cubs fan? We told her that we wanted to incorporate the Cubs win into the ceremony and boy did she deliver!!! She even had a Cubs decal on her binder during the ceremony and everyone LOVED it. It was great. The ceremony she delivered overall was special and heartfelt and we will never forget this. She was absolutely AMAZING! Such a blessing to have met her and have her a part of a day we'll remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you Rev. Mcwhorter it was such a pleasure to have you on our wedding day. Rev. Linda was WONDERFUL! She was absolutely wonderful! My friends and family talked about how great of a job she did and how much they enjoyed the ceremony. (someone even said she was the best they had ever heard). She made the ceremony one of the most memorable parts of the day- which is hard to do as the whole thing is practically a blurr. :) She worked with us beforehand to customize our ceremony and vows and provided a huge list of example readings and vows. I could not have asked for someone else- she did even better than I had wished. I would definitely recommend her!

Linda is phenomenal! The ceremony was absolutely perfect and moved some people to tears (but not in a sappy way!) Several people said it was one of the most beautiful and intimate ceremonies they have witnessed and Linda made that happen. Linda talked to us both extensively to find out who we are -- to find out exactly what we wanted to say about our love -- and helped us figure out how to say it. She made our ceremony perfectly personal and suited to us. She made it feel just right. Aside from the awesome ceremony, she brought out all the extras. She helped us stay on track with deadlines, with writing our vows, and even with getting our marriage license (she sent it back for us, which is one less hassle to do ourselves after the wedding!) She even created beautiful, personalized, hand-made little booklets for us to read our vows from. We now have those momentos to cherish for the rest of our lives. I'd recommend Linda to anyone, hands down!

Linda is a wonderful, caring person and will make sure you have a lovely wedding ceremony. She worked with my fiancé and I on making sure our ceremony was tailored to our beliefs, but felt reverent. She is extremely professional and sends you a copy of the ceremony well before your wedding day. If you need to make any changes she immediately makes note of it and is extremely accommodating. The Irish blessing she had at the end of our ceremony was used in my cousin's wedding and he was so taken aback she knew of it. Little touches like that really help make for a special wedding.

Linda is so great. I live in Dallas so it was hard to get to Austin during her business hours but she was ALWAYS accommodating. She skyped with my husband and I so we could save a trip. Our vows were beautiful, my husband could hardly speak be was so overwhelmed with emotion. Linda really takes the time to get to know you and knows just the right things to say.
