I can’t say enough good things about Katy! She made wedding planning as easy as it could possibly be, from start to finish. She is extremely knowledgeable and extremely thorough. O...
n top of being invaluable with planning, her and Kory made sure our wedding day ran smoothly and were so helpful and attentive all day. I definitely recommend hiring her!!
Katy and her husband helping plan our wedding were truly the best money spent through the entire thing. Katy has a calm, organized, and positive attitude that was able to adapt to ...
anything that came up during our planning and execution of the wedding. Her flexibility in both the way she handled situations as well as in the way she empowered me and my husband to make choices for the wedding was exactly what we needed. If you are the type of bride/groom that has no idea where to start - Katy is your person. If you are the type of bride/groom that knows everything you want down to the details - Katy is your person. If you are somewhere in between - Katy is the person. I cannot recommend her enough; she was able to bring our vision for our wedding to life and able to realize that we even had a vision of what it would be along the way.
If you're looking for specific examples here are just a few of the things she did the day of for us that made our day perfect:
-micromanaged our venue for us when they transitioned event staff not once, but twice
-helped us kill wasps that were infiltrating the venue during hair and makeup
-fended off annoying relatives and guests when my husband and i were getting overwhelmed, then collected cocktail hour apps for us and brought them to our room so we could eat and spend time together
-stopped several of our guests that got too intoxicated from leaving the venue in their cars (without involving us!)
-had cake food and decorations unpacked prior to and packed up and sent to our room after the wedding for easy cleanup and checkout
There were so many things that made her a wonderful planner, many of them were done silently too. We were so grateful to have found her through this site, and cannot stress that if you are on the fence, contact her ASAP before she realizes what she is worth and ups the price -- even if she does, contact her. Thanks so much Katy for everything.
Katy made our vision come to life and then some. From our first phone call all the way to the wedding, it truly felt like talking to a friend. She was so kind, patient, accommodati...
ng, professional and so much more. Katy truly made us feel like we were the only couple she was working with which could not have been further from the truth. When we met on the day of our wedding it instantly became clear she genuinely loves what she does. Her and her team made the weekend events seamless. We could not have done this without her. Katy, thank you so much for everything!!!!
Katy was a DREAM to work with!! She was one of the first vendors I book and I honestly don’t know how I would have planned all of this without her both leading up to the wedding an...
d on the actual day. We had regular check-ins where she kept me on track and made me think about and plan things I never would have thought about on my own. She gave amazing recommendations, helped with communication across all vendors, and has immaculate attention to detail. She’s genuinely kind and cares about your wedding as if you were a family member and constantly checked in with me and my husband during our wedding day. When I barely ate any dinner or dessert and Katy (along with the venue) boxed it up and left it in our room. If it weren’t for that I wouldn’t have even had my own wedding cake. It’s thoughts like those that make me so happy I had her there for supper. An additional planner outside of the venue is definitely an investment and Katy is one of the best investments I have and will ever make!!
We cannot be happier with how our amazing wedding weekend turned out!! Katy and her team did such an amazing job helping us plan everything! From a year and a half ago to the welco...
me party night before and wedding day, Katy guided us through everything and connected us with all the incredible vendors who put together our spectacular day! Day of wedding, Zoe and Haley were ON POINT from start to finish! We didn't have to worry about a thing. We absolutely recommend VanBee & Co. to anyone who is looking to get married in the Adirondacks area! We love you all and are so very thankful for all you did to give us the wedding of our dreams!
Katy planned us our DREAM wedding (& Friday night welcome dinner/party). I always knew I wanted a wedding planner and Katy far surpassed my expectations. We worked with Katy for 18...
+ months and she recommended an A+ wedding team, kept us on schedule, and even made our escort board (going as far as matching the board color to our wedding invite). On our wedding day and the night before, she made sure we did not worry about a single thing (coordinating all our vendors and the venue) – she kept us calm during the rain and continuously came up with solutions in the event we had to move due to the rain. After our wedding, we continuously had guests remark on how wonderful Katy was. I cannot recommend a better wedding planner. Hire katy – you will not regret it.
Katy was the angel that I needed for my destination wedding. Even though I grew up in the Adirondacks, I needed help. She was the first vendor I booked for my wedding in 2021 for l...
ate 2022. She guided me through the process, and on the wedding day, she ensured we all knew what to do. She is easy to talk to, made me feel like a friend, and kept me sane through the turmoil that led up to the wedding. She made every vision I had come to life. I could not say a more fantastic thing about her, but I will say this- You need her in your life if you are planning a wedding.
Katy is the best! Highly recommend hiring her. She is extremely thorough. We had scheduled calls leading up to our wedding day and she thought of everything. She made sure we were ...
on track with things, answered all of our questions and made great recommendations. She was INCREDIBLE the weekend of our wedding. She set up for our rehearsal dinner, decorated our venue on our wedding day and coordinated with our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. She was even able to make adjustments on the fly the day of our wedding and still make it seamless. I can't imagine what it would have been like without her. She is also just a very kind and easygoing person and made the process fun! Definitely hire her for your wedding!!

gine. But from start to finish, Katy was a creative problem solver, taking control of challenging situations and making it possible for us to focus on our family and friends in attendance. She was a friend and advisor throughout the entire planning process, culminating with the wedding weekend where she navigated working alongside the venue while still being our advocate. She and her team decorated the reception, managed vendors, answered a million questions on our behalf, made sure we were pulled out at just the right time for golden hour photos, & so much more! We are so grateful!
If you’re looking to have an Adirondack wedding, Katy is your person. There is no one that can match her knowledge, experience, and connections when it comes to wedding planning. ...
She nails every event and somehow always is cool, calm, collected and fun. Katy is an amazing resource and could answer any question we had. She was super prompt and communicative during what turned into a 3 year covid planning period. She was a lifesaver keeping up with all the venue, vendor, and guideline changes. Our plans had to change too many times too count but Katy never missed a beat and she kept us sane. We could not have done this without her and we are SO happy that we were able to work with her. She is on top of every detail and made sure our day was perfect, even when plans had to change due to some rain. She truly is Wonder Woman of event planning. We would 1000% recommend her. Working with Katy was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding.
Katy is the absolute best and deserves all the stars in the world! She helped us plan our wedding on Saranac lake at Camp Iroquois and was so on top of her game from recommendation...
s, advice, planning, budgeting, and day of coordination. She immediately understood my vision and helped execute it flawlessly. She is very personable and was fun to chat with once we had the chance to meet in person too. Our wedding guests were all raving about her and her staff's outstanding service throughout our wedding weekend. I would hire her again and recommend her to others without hesitation. We hired her family catering business Lakeview Catering for several events and they were also outstanding, Katy helped coordinate those events too. Thank you Katy! You are a gem !

mber's backyard in our hometown, 5 hours away from our original destination. When I needed to change my plans, Katy was with me every step of the way. She helped me with all of the details of our first planned event and then did it all over again a month before our wedding date when we realized our original vision was not going to be possible. I could not recommend her any more. Aside from being an excellent event planner, she is a wonderful person and knowing she was there on the day of my wedding allowed me to relax. I am an event planner myself, so it was very important to me to hire someone that I knew I would feel confident in and would be able to trust. Katy was definitely that person!
Katy is amazing!! She is professional, thoughtful, and detail oriented. She knew all the right questions to ask, and did’t overlook a thing during planning. The day of the wedding,...

est season, the VanBee & Co. team always made me feel like our priorities were also theirs. Our entire weekend went off without a hitch and we owe it entirely to this talented team. We couldn't have done it without them.

r team made the process SO MUCH EASIER! Katy is super organized, very detail-oriented and her passion absolutely shines through in all the work she does. She is very professional but has such a kind, friendly demeanor that she felt more like a friend than a wedding planner!
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Katy's team that was on site as well. Colette and Eileen made our vision come together so perfectly. Every single one of our guests raved about how no detail was missed and how absolutely perfect our wedding was, a few mentioning it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Colette and Eileen were very attentive throughout the night (Colette even saved my dress from a blunder with an appetizer going flying!) but not overbearing.
I cannot recommend this team enough. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I can honestly say I will miss being in communication with them as I thoroughly enjoyed their company!

& Co to help us. We were looking to mostly manage the planning process and vendors, but have VanBee & Co keep us on track and help with local coordination, especially day-of.
From the start, Katy listened intently for what we wanted and then helped us create a plan to get there. We started by meeting once a month to ensure we were making progress, and Katy was able to ask us questions to fill in a lot of details we didn't think about. Katy was also very well connected in the Saranac Lake region and personally knew many of the vendors we had selected. As the wedding got closer we started meeting more frequently. Katy also helped pick up some of the slack with some vendor coordination and brought on Colette and Eileen to handle day-of coordination.
The wedding day could have been more smooth. I found that I really had nothing to do or worry about except enjoy our beautiful wedding and celebration together. It was perfect.
I have several friends who did not engage a planner for their wedding, and they have all more or less regretted the decision. You should be able to fully engage in and enjoy your wedding day instead of having to worry about vendors, timelines, and small issues that may come up. I highly recommend VanBee & Co. - they are friendly, professional, effective, and really care about making your day special.

ake was not only daunting, but terrifying. As soon as we asked Katy to come on as our month of coordinator, she calmed every concern we had, including the ones we had never considered. She quickly stepped in with regular calls throughout the year, meetings with our other vendors in our stead, and subtle reminders on the things we needed to stay on top of. She never told us no, but always made sure to lay out all of the options so we could make the best decisions, and when our ideas made completely no sense, rather than refusing, helped us craft them into something that would work, ultimately making our ideas better than we ever thought they could be. We put all of our faith in her, as we simply had no other choice, and she exceeded all of our expectations at every turn. Our wedding was pure magic, and none of it could have been done without her and her wonderful team.

day everything we wanted. I primarily used VanBee for day-of-coordination, and I'm so happy I did, as Katy's very flexible and willing to do as little or as much as you want. Other planners I looked into had defined packages and minimum hours, whereas I had the bulk of the planning done and just wanted help executing and making sure everything ran smoothly (which can sometimes be even harder for planners when the couple has a very specific plan/vision!). Katy's team put our mind at ease, delivered exactly what we wanted, and enabled us to enjoy every minute. Totally worth it!

nd then some. She was very professional, responsive and outgoing which made our vendors work seamlessly together. She took care of all of the last minute prep throughout our wedding week and morning of which really allowed me to be present for the festivities. She is also very flexible and will do as much or as little planning as you need - there is no pressure for a minimum number of hours or certain percentage of your budget. If you want to really enjoy your wedding and be able to take it all in you should absolutely hire VanBee & Co!
Katy from VanBee & Co is by far the most exceptional wedding coordinator that I have ever seen. As an event planner myself, I hired Katy as I was planning a destination wedding in ...
Lake Placid, NY. Being far away and dealing with some difficult venue issues - Katy made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. We had 4 days of multiple events including rehearsal dinners, welcome BBQ's, boat rides, spa days, golf courses, cocktail hours, receptions and a farewell brunch. Katy didn't flinch one time. She was on top of EVERY detail, even things I didn't think of. She was available at all times, literally ahead of me on every question or concern. I can not recommend her services enough. She is spectacular. She even dealt with a difficult vendor with ease. I had absolutely no anxiety or concern the entire 4 days because I knew it was in her hands. Seriously, it was a true honor and pleasure to work with her.

while planning a destination wedding in Lake Placid, I began working with Katy in March for our September 29 wedding. Thorough and incredibly knowledgeable of the area, vendors, restaurants and anything else you might need in the Lake Placid area, Katy was the peace of mind we were seeking throughout this process....gift bags for our guests, rehearsal dinner, officiant, coordinating with the rental company and florist and onsite help for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Anything that came up, Katy and her team took care of it. We are so pleased with professionalism and service we received and dealing with a kind and genuine person who listens to your needs and offers suggestions of other magical things you may never have thought of are all the amazing qualities that make up Katy.
