I work hard with my husband, the chef of Downtown Catering Company, to be certain each and every wedding is one we are proud of and more importantly, the day of your dreams! We would never serve anything that we wouldn't serve at our own personal event. As a former musical theater dancer, I manage weddings like Broadway shows-there is only one shot to make a first impression-no do-overs! I love the pressure and stress of an event, it is when I thrive the most.

I could not recommend Venue 1223 and Downtown Catering enough! What struck us from the venue tour was how flexible and accommodating they were - willing to work with our high guest count, custom menu and elaborate NYE wedding plans. Olivia was our point person and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. She knew every detail and made it all flow so seamlessly. Our guests were amazed at how we transformed the space in addition to all the food from appetizers to late night snacks. My biggest concern had been feeling cramped with our 150 guest count, dance floor and band and it all fit perfectly. We could not have been happier with how our wedding turned out and it is truly all because of Venue 1223, Olivia and the Downtown Catering team!

We used Downtown Deli catering for our wedding this past October and couldn't have been happier with their service! Leah and Olivia were great at communicating and were so helpful in listening to what exactly we wanted and making sure we got just that. Our guests are still talking about how great the food was. We did a buffet and the biggest compliment we got was how delicious the beef tenderloin was. We were really impressed with the service the day of and how stress free they made it for us. I couldn't recommend them more!

Through 2 years of planning due to the pandemic, Venue 1223 helped make our 13 year dream of a perfect wedding become a reality. The atmosphere, the food, and the employees were all amazing! Everything was beautiful and taken care of without any issues. Highly recommend this venue for other Lowcountry brides!

Venue 1223 was our saving grace! Leah was more than helpful and so pleasant to work with. She made us feel so at ease and was always there to answer our questions. It was our third time planning a wedding (Thanks COVID) and we could not have picked a better spot to have it! Everything was beautiful! We even had a last minute change in our schedule because of rain and Leah and her staff made our day happen even though we had to move everything inside. I could not recommend this venue for your wedding more!! Thank you Leah and staff at Venue 1223!!!

Downtown Catering Company and Venue 1223 is the best!! Leah and her crew are kind, accommodating, professional, and respond very quickly to any questions. We used them for our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner, and were very pleased. Give Leah a call....You won’t be disappointed!

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND VENUE 1223 & DOWNTOWN DELI CATERING! We had our wedding at their location and catering done by them. My new husband has some food allergies and they went above and beyond to accommodate us, as well as the other guests. Maren was or coordinator for the wedding and she made the day so much more special with thinking of the little details we forgot about. She allowed us to be able to just enjoy our special day with friends and family! Couldn't have done it without her and the amazing staff! It was the perfect location for the southern, lowcountry style wedding we were dreaming of. This is a great location for all types of parties and meetings. We will definitely be using them again!

Wow, I couldn’t imagine a better place to have a wedding reception. The space was so beautiful with the floral arrangements from Wimbee Creek Farm. When we arrived, Tiara had a plate of hors d’oeuvres waiting for each of us (the pimento grilled cheese bites were AMAZING...so many guests commented on how good they were.) We had about 80 guests and the space was perfect. We had the bar outside which was really nice for the guests to be able to cool off when they went outside to grab a drink. There was plenty of space for the dance floor, so nobody was bumping into one another or stepping on toes. Tiara brought us our dinner and made sure we had whatever we wanted throughout the night which was so incredibly helpful, especially since we were trying to get around to see all our guests. The food was excellent (we had the southern BBQ buffet). I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding reception for anyone who is considering a Hilton Head/Bluffton wedding!

We visited the venue and met Leah, one of the owner's, while it was still under construction. Leah described the vision as urban meets low country and we booked! We also hired their event specialist, Maren. Since we were coming from Ohio and incorporating a vacation around the wedding day, Maren didn't let us down on taking care of everything so we could enjoy family time, pool and beach, and visiting guests who came down to be with us. We also were without a photographer 2 days before the wedding due to an accident and within an hour Maren had us in touch with another and they were phenomenal. Although we had only met a couple of times, Leah surprised me and came to the venue to give me a hug and say congratulations. That meant alot! Our guests complimented us for days on how good the food was, and how polite and fun the servers and bartender were. The shrimp and grits were AWESOME!

Venue 1223 in old town Bluffton was such a beautiful location for our rehearsal dinner. The staff at the venue and the chef of Downtown Catering did a great job! They were scrambling a little bit when putting some of the apps out and forgot a few things that my mom and aunt had to ask them to do/put out, but otherwise, everything went very smoothly! All of the staff were so nice, the food was DELICIOUS, and the space was decorated nicely! It felt very intimate but open and was a great space for my guests to enjoy (inside and outside!). The pricing wasn't bad either! They worked with me even at the last minute to add a couple that I had forgotten in the count! Thanks for everything Maren and the crew!
