Desiree and her team are amazing! As a "Vendor" in the local wedding circuit for 20 years, I know professionalism when I see it. I had the pleasure of working with Verve event company this past summer and they were awesome. Attention to the smallest detail was of utmost concern for Desiree and her team. They ran a wedding like a major television broadcast, always being behind the scenes making sure every moment was memorable for the Groom's and their guests. As wedding photographers, we've been involved in more than 100 weddings and can confidently say that Desiree is the best of the best. From our very first conversation, we knew that the experience of working with her would be like no other! She is extremely professional, detail-oriented, creative, and energetic. This review is long overdue. Other than choosing my husband, choosing to work with Desiree was the best decision that we made for our wedding. Desiree is the most organized, put together, knowledgeable, helpful wedding planner/ person I have ever met. We knew an overall vision of what we wanted for our day but I had no idea how to actually make it a reality. Desiree made our vision come to life and even added special details to make our day uniquely ours. Even elements that I couldn't really put into words or have a picture to show her she was able to make happen! It honestly was like she could read my mind! My mom actually said during the planning process "when I count my blessings I count Desiree twice" and it is so true. Even my husband, who was very skeptical about hiring a wedding planner to begin with could not stop talking about how amazing Desiree and her team were, and how worth it it was the morning after our wedding. The actual day went on without a single blip. Everything was on time, smooth and perfect! We still have guests that comment about how amazing our day was and specifically point out how smooth it went. That was all thanks to Desiree and her team. I cannot compliment Desirée enough! She is absolutely incredible and every couple needs her when planning their wedding! My fiancé and I came to Desirée during a time of overwhelm and frustration. We were planning our wedding during difficult Covid times and had already planned a destination wedding out of town at a venue which we ultimately cancelled and went back to square one and planning all over again...this time a local wedding in our own backyard. With our new plan and having our wedding in our backyard we were so excited yet kept running into various logistical roadblocks and it became clear we needed help! We chose to work with Verve Event Co. because it was the perfect balance between planning/event management and creative design. Desirée heard and reflected our vision while also bringing her own fresh ideas, which resulted in a totally bespoke design that reflected our personalities and priorities instead of a "traditional" or "classic" wedding. Everyone was amazing by the amount of creative touches and how they all complemented and reflected each other. Everything - our stationery, escort card display, china selections, photo lounge, candle favors, florals, photo lounge - was customized and totally represented our personalities and style. It was amazing to see our vision for the ceremony and reception come to life, in a way that was even better than we could have imagined and that has definitely created forever memories for us and our guests.

This review will not do justice to convey what an amazing job Desirée did in planning our NYC wedding and how grateful my now husband and I were to have her guidance throughout the process and day-of. We had a short(ish) engagement - 7 months - and wanted our big day to highlight the wedding ceremony itself but also provide a worthwhile experience to our many international & out-of-town guests. Our big day and, in fact, the entire weekend did just that. From the food, flowers, and favors to the music and wedding Mass/ceremony, each aspect of our wedding was beautifully crafted and seamlessly executed to reflect a merging of cultures that was truly authentic to us as a couple and that gave our guests an all-around fabulous time. We even got a thank you card from a guest thanking us for the experience. Seriously, what bride & groom receive a thank you card from wedding guests?! Desirée was incredibly professional. Her knowledge and expertise became even more evident in the questions she knew to ask but we didn’t and in how she anticipated/resolved so many would-be problems. I was also particular grateful for her positivity(!) and focus, which allowed us to stay on track but also enjoy the process. As a bride who was incredibly particular but somewhat unsure of her vision, Desirée helped us ensure we prioritized all the right elements and put together an experience beyond what we could have imagined. Most of all, she gave the groom and I the freedom and peace of mind to be fully present on the day-of to receive and revel in the beauty and joy of our wedding day and the sacredness of the marriage sacrament. This was perhaps the greatest wedding gift we received and one we will continue to be grateful for as the years go by.

Desireé’s professionalism, work ethic, and fun to be around personality is priceless and that is why it is easy to recommend her to any client looking for a wedding planner!!  As a fellow wedding vendor doing videography working with Desireé made the preparation before the day and on the wedding day flawless. You can’t help but be impressed by the attention to detail. She is very organized and puts the clients and vendors at ease with a well though out schedule. I loved her use of tiny cards she gave every one that outlined the schedule of the day. I referred to her cards a lot and even smiled when the Bride and the groom used it as well. Desirée was extremely responsive and organized even before I met her for a styled shoot, she made is easy to follow the esthetic and mood for the day based off of her visual mood boards. She kept all of the vendors organized by email ahead of time, which allowed for a smooth day. During Covid reschedules she made is easy for the client and all the vendors to find a new date easy and worry less. I also enjoy her podcast and live events she host on Instagram. She is always providing useful tips and tricks that is up to date for wedding planning. I love working with her and 10/10 would always recommend her to anyone!!!

Before I hired Verve Event Co., I felt overwhelmed and scared to plan my wedding. I was concerned if it would be worth the extra expense and if we would get along for the many months we would be working together. We hired Desiree for Full Service Planning because I felt like she was going to give our wedding a lot of attention and make it really special. The other planner I interviewed seemed like her weddings were much more formulaic and she didn't seem to be as creative. I am so glad we chose Verve Event Co. because it was the most beautiful wedding ever!! Tim (my husand) and I were also able to really enjoy it and just focus on having a great time with our guests because I knew Desiree was taking care of everything. It was awesome :) The room was so stunning and I was so happy with how it turned out. Desiree really did a seriously great job on pulling together the whole design - from the table settings, to the flowers. We had a "floral cloud" and everyone was in awe of it. People also loved all the vendors we chose, from the band, to the venue, to our signature cocktail named after our fur baby. My favorite part about working with Desiree was she made me feel really comfortable and like she had everything taken care of. I had multiple people tell me leading up to the wedding that I was the calmest bride they've ever seen, which is not my normal demeanor. But I knew Desiree had it under control and that it was going to be beautiful no matter what. Also, she worked with us as we continued changing what the overall "feel" of our wedding would be. We ended up changing our minds about what style of event we wanted in the beginning and she was super accommodating and understanding. She was also super organized and creative at the same time. I felt like she kept us on task and made sure we completed things on time, but also had great ideas for the design of the day. This was important to me because not everyone is so talented at both aspects of the planning. I loved having Desiree as our planner because I knew she was looking out for us every step of the way. I wish we could have Desiree planning the rest of our married life as well!

My experience working with Desiree was both enjoyable and informative. Speaking as a vendor, specifically a floral designer, working with a planner makes our end of the job much easier. This past June was my first time working with Desireé. A few weeks before the event I received a personalized introductory email, introducing herself. Closer to the event I received a logistics email. Day of event was flawless- Verve Event Co. was kind and supportive to my staff, and made the process relaxed and enjoyable. Finally, and something that will stay with me was her follow up email, letting all the vendors know how grateful she was for working together to create a beautiful day. I really appreciate that. I recently worked with Desirée on a wedding and she was great. As I was a vendor providing videography for the couple, I saw the many ways she went above and beyond the call of duty. From running small errands for the bridal party, to helping facilitate the couple's fur-child for a special photo session. She provided ingenious pocket-sized schedule cards to the vendors for quick reference throughout the day. She was instrumental in gaining the smiles from the young flower girls/ ring bearer during the formal photos, while the photographer and myself were able to concentrate on the shots. The day ran smoothly and it was a pleasure to work with her. She really did help bring the couple's special day to life.

Des has the talent to take a vision for a wedding and put a unique twist on style, design, and the day-of approach that is perfect for just for that couple. When you start to plan a wedding, it can be overwhelming - you don't know what you don't know, and it is usually your first time planning an even to that scale! Before we hired Verve Event Co, we interviewed 2 other prospective planners. The fears that we had about working with a planner were mostly regarding cost and whether the services that you would be paying for were worth the price. However Verve's tiered options helped us realize that it could be in our budget. We chose to work with Verve Event Co. because Desirée was hands-down the best candidate for the job. The combination of her level of experience, personality and pricing plan made it simple to pull the trigger. We used Verve's Wedding Management service which allowed us to plan a gorgeous wedding and still have time for ourselves. We decided to have our 140 person wedding in my parent's back yard. It was a big commitment up-front and we knew we would be doing a lot of it ourselves. However, I wanted to design the day myself, so this decision made it that I could execute every detail the way I wanted it. Verve was super helpful with helping us to organized our plans, stick to a schedule and execute the more practical elements of the day. The thing that most people talk about was the food, the details and the band. It meant a lot to me that people noticed all of the work that we put into the day, it was a true family affair and we could not have pulled it off without Desirée's help. Desirée is extremely organized and responsive. She made us feel like we could ask any question and get honest and thoughtful advice. You can tell that she really loves what she does which makes her a pleasure to work with. I knew that I could rely on her to make the day turn out exactly how we envisioned it! Desiree was amazing! My partner and I were working with such a limited budget we weren't sure we could afford a planner, but Desiree was well worth everything we spent (and honestly we were able to comfortably fit her in our budget). We did some DIY elements: centerpieces, escort cards, favors. Our venue was also a park, which meant coordinating a lot of vendors. Desiree helped us keep track of everything, did all of the vendor coordination required in the few weeks leading up to our day, and helped us plan things we weren't even thinking about. Not only is she great at the planning aspect, but Desiree is absolutely a professional and a very warm person to work with. We are a queer couple, and Desiree was great about respecting pronouns, being aware of gendered language, etc. Such a simple kindness that meant a lot to us.
