their attention to detail for food allergies was greatly appreciated. They were very easy to communicate with and we received a prompt response to our questions every day of the week. The staff was professional and helpful beforehand as well as on our wedding day. The fireplaces and lighting provided the perfect ambiance to a winter/very early spring wedding. Our guests loved having the option to stay on site afterwards. Highly recommend!

g in one spot. Our only negative was with choosing a plated dinner -- it seemed to take a bit longer and some guests said their food was cold. If I could go back, I think the buffet option is the way to go! (and it's easier from a planning standpoint vs having everyone tell you their meal choice). Their food is good otherwise and I received great services and help in planning the day from everyone who worked there.

From day 1, the communication we had received from Waldenwoods during the planning period was amazing. We did end up renting the Hilltop Cottage as well and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and how cozy it was! I couldn't imagine having booked anywhere else for our wedding!

off - everyone was so wonderful and professional. Jenna was our coordinator for the day and she was so warm and kind and she really knew her stuff. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony site was, and everyone raved about the food! The servers and bartenders were wonderful. The venue even saved part of our wedding cake for us in a to-go container, which was such a pleasant surprise. They were always so prompt and professional responding to my many many emails leading up to the wedding, and even let us make changes to our table layout the day before the wedding after having a few last minute guests cancel. Book this beautiful venue! You will not regret it!

An extra bonus is that they will wait up to an hour before your ceremony starts if they need to pull the ceremony inside due to weather. The tour was great, we didn't feel any pressure - we were able to hold a date for a few days without issue, there wasn't a 50 page contract of rules and regulations to sign. We pretty much instantly decided this would be our venue after seeing it. Throughout the entire wedding planning process - Waldenwoods was AMAZING to work with!!! Every time I had a question, I could reach out via email or by phone - I received a response within probably 30 minutes. I was able to come up multiple times to show my mother and MIL the venue, they were always accommodating. The paperwork, prep, payment etc. was seamless, I never had any issues. One thing I wanted to point out - there was a particular vendor I wanted to work with that Waldenwoods does not contract with, Anne went above and beyond to research this vendor, have a call with them to ensure everything checked out and ultimately let me use the vendor! The best customer service. The day of was truly a dream - the venue was beyond gorgeous and romantic (we had ours inside Cromaine). I have to call out the food too - normally any wedding I go to, I don't have high expectations however after we went to the tasting and loved everything, I knew it was going to be amazinggggg and our guests agreed. I received multiple compliments that we had the best wedding food - from the appetizers to the entrée and sides. The best feedback I received was that one of our guests didn't expect the filet to be so tender so when he cut in, the filet flew off his plate and he STILL ate it because he said it was that good - LOL!!! Lastly, we rented the Friendship Lodge and a block of rooms at the Sunshine Lodge and this was SO awesome to have. After the reception, we had a fire with 25+ people talking about the night and then was able to see everyone out in the morning versus an abrupt ending - I loved this! Waldenwoods - thank you for providing the space for an absolute dream day for me!!!

All the staff we worked with during the planning process were responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable, especially with guiding us during our planning meeting. They were especially helpful with navigating the myriad food sensitivities and allergies of our guests. I highly recommend this venue.

slate. You can make your vision come true. We used many vendors they recommended & they turned out to be wonderful too. They were very helpful through the whole process & answered all my questions in a timely matter. Only thing I wish was they had more non chicken entrees that were included with no extra charge. If you want anything other than chicken it’s going to cost you. Other than that, no complaints!

The Waldenwoods team was super helpful in finalizing details of our ceremony and reception that we probably wouldn't have even thought about, and the day-of coordinator did a great job of making sure everything ran smoothly. A special shoutout for helping us accommodate my younger brother and his powerchair! Was always able to get ahold of them pre wedding if we needed something. & we were able to get ready on-site which was marvelous. The bridal suite was great. They even provided lunch for us! The food for dinner was AMAZING!!! Not to mention the price was just right. I could not be more pleased with waldenwoods & its staff!

e bill. They are very experienced with hosting weddings and were very helpful during the planning process. They provided us great information – including a list of local vendors that they regularly work with and recommend. Most of our vendors came off this list and we were pleased with all of them. The event staff was great on our wedding day – Adrianna and Jenna made sure our processional at the ceremony went smoothly. Janet and the rest of the bartenders and reception staff did a great job throughout the night. So many of our guests commented on the beauty and atmosphere of the venue as well as the delicious food! If you are looking for a stunning, all-inclusive venue, I would highly recommend Waldenwoods.

My only tiny, tiny complaint is they don’t keep in touch unless you reach out. We had no reminder on when payments where due or when to schedule our rehearsal and they do one tasting instead of a private one. Which I understand but because the menu is so big they don’t have everything to taste. Over all the staff was AMAZING!

It was so nice to work with an all-inclusive venue like Waldenwoods and not have to worry about catering, linens, reception extras, you name it--because Waldenwoods took care of all of it for us. They offer such a wide range of options and you are sure to find exactly what you want. We also had our rehearsal dinner there the night before and a celebration brunch the next morning! Plus, their lodges and property are absolutely stunning. Our wedding was in the winter and our guests were perfectly comfortable and loved the whole aesthetic and vibe of the venue. I would recommend Waldenwoods to anyone planning a wedding or event.

Lodge with all its windows and lighted branches. All of the food was delicious, and there were so many great options to choose from when crafting the menu. They were so accommodating of dietary restrictions, even my vegan friend with a chickpea allergy (she said their vegan lasagna was amazing). Plus, their Personal Touch service is great so you can focus on yourself instead of setup, and no one has to stay late to clean up after the reception. They even have a fair amount of decor items that you can rent, which I hadn't seen elsewhere. Having onsite lodging was another bonus, although it is someone rustic, but we love that. We ended up renting one of the villas for the night before and night of the wedding. With its spiral staircase, fireplace, and indoor hottub, it was the perfect getaway and so convenient. Fair warning: there are multiple consultants working at this place, and they share a communal email address. You may not always be talking to the same person, so sometimes you have to remind them of details. The person who does your rehearsal also does your ceremony coordination, so there's at least that continuity. I kept notes and communicated mostly through email so it wasn't a big deal to me, but could be to some. Finally, the cost for this place was an amazing value, and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes much more expensive as word gets out about how great their weddings are. We got so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue is.

We booked the Sunshine lodge for our guests, and almost every one of them had trouble reaching the venue to provide their credit card information and book the room. The voicemail was usually full so there was no way to leave one. Aside from that, they were really great to work with and made the day beautiful and everything we wanted it to be!

We were blown away by how much Waldenwoods was willing to work with us during the pandemic. They helped us reschedule our wedding twice due to the pandemic and there were no ramifications for this. In addition, Waldenwoods took other COVID precautions to make sure the guests felt safe. Some of my favorite things about getting married at Waldenwoods were the diverse options for reception add-ons to make the day extra special, such as the bridal cottage, outdoor ceremony, and beautiful decorations that came with the Cromaine Lodge. The property was beautifully maintained and getting married outside under the pergola was perfect. There were also a lot of great spots for a first look and bridal party/family pictures. Regarding the service, the staff did a wonderful job helping to ensure that the event ran smoothly, and they went above and beyond to make us feel well taken care of and special. Overall, the food was very good. In particular, we really liked the salad and appetizers. We appreciated how many choices there were when selecting entrée options. It was truly a day we will never forget, and we thank Waldenwoods for all they did to help us make this memory. There were a few things that we were disappointed about, and that we believe could be addressed to make the wedding experience of future couples extra special. During our ceremony, loud pop music could be heard playing out on the lake/beach. We were told that the staff was going to attend to this, but it never happened and created a distraction during the ceremony. We were also disappointed in the cleanliness of both the Cromaine Lodge and the Sunshine Lodge. It was clear when we showed up on Sunday for our wedding that not much was cleaned. The bridal cottage that we were getting ready in was very dirty and parts of the reception hall never got cleaned prior to our wedding start time. We felt very similarly about the Sunshine Lodge. Much of it was not clean and multiple guests reported problems with their room, including not being given the right key, burned out light bulbs, and uncleaned linens. check-in. There were a few issues with the dinner as well. Mostly, we felt that it took a long time to serve the food and the staff did not serve our prioritized tables first. Our parents were actually served last, despite that we indicated otherwise. We were told that there were not enough staff, which did not seem like a great excuse. We also felt like the portions were small, especially the chicken dish. Further, for guests with allergies they were not given a substitute food, rather they were just given less food. For instance, we had multiple guests with garlic and onion allergies; rather than make potatoes without garlic and onion, the chef did not give them any starch, which is not what we paid for.

Several guests also stayed in the lodge. I have no complaints whatsoever and nothing but gratitude for the phenomenal experience our family had using Waldenwoods. We highly recommend this venue.

nd our now smaller budget. We worked out an amazing situation for a small number of guests and short number of hours. And wow was it great! I was disappointed that they left some of their vendor advertising pieces out in the bar room, but it was a small detail that I could let go. I was really just so thankful to have had Waldenwoods to pick up the pieces of our broken wedding dreams with only a month before our wedding day. The food was absolutely incredible (I was concerned about this with us not having time to do a tasting) but our family is still talking about how good it was! The service was also great and I appreciated how the wait staff was always checking in to see if we needed anything. Our day was really more than I could have ever hoped for and will forever be thankful for all that they did for us.

The bad: - Poor customer service - often times our phone calls and emails were ignored, or when we did talk to someone we ended up having to call/talk again because the changes were never written down. Also the day of the ceremony the wouldn't come and clean the goose droppings from the outdoor site until guests were already being seated. - They lost some of our decorations that we were to pick up the next morning after the personal touch service.

rs, to the guard shack greeters, to the chef, maintenance , and wait staff, we were so impressed. The food was great and the tent turned out to be such a special place to celebrate. The scenery made for a great view of the sunset and a backdrop for amazing photos & videos.

or, a little rustic with class. Their process for booking the sunshine lodge could use some work. Everyone at our wedding seemed to enjoy the food. We had a beautiful sunset to add to the ambiance. All in all, it was a great choice and I'd recommend it.

me emailing or calling with a full answer. They were all so flexible on any questions or concerns that we had about the venue and really rolled with the punches. On wedding day, they were so supportive and made sure everything went smoothly and that my husband and I didn’t have to worry about anything! The wait staff were also amazing in the fact that they made sure that we had food and drink all night since we were so busy with our guests. My advice? Spend the extra money for the “personal touch” service, where Waldenwoods sets up and tears down all of your decor - SO worth it. My main complaint? This was just as much on me, but I never asked who the main contact person was for the night. This wasn’t a huge deal, but at one point my videographer had a question and I had NO clue who to direct him to. Seriously, book with Waldenwoods - you won’t regret it!!!!!
