I was desperately searching for a hair stylist about 6 months before my wedding and Mardi came recommended from a salon in Bethany Beach, DE! She was amazing to work with and made the bridal party and our moms all look amazing. She does not over charge once you say the word “wedding”. Mardi was awesome! We did a mock trial run well before my wedding date to make sure the look was just right. I provided a hair style off of Pinterest and she nailed it. My hair was perfect. Mardi was punctual, affordable, kind and above all, my hair was exactly what I asked for and not once did I have to adjust it. From the morning hair and makeup all the way to the wee hours of the morning, through heavy dancing and hot weather, my hair did not move a bit. Perfection!

I decided to use Mardi for my wedding after she came highly recommended. Mardi did a great job on everyone's hair and it held well throughout the wedding! My reason for the less than perfect review is her partner for makeup was extremely unprofessional. Owen O'Donnell arrived late and ended up not feeling well and only partially did one person's makeup. I understand things happen, but the guy said he hadn't been feeling well for several days leading up to the wedding. Seems like there should have been some sort of back up in place or at least better communication about what was going on. Also a prompt decision should have been made about not being able to continue and complete the makeup. We may have been able to figure something else out, but ended up with only 2 hours before having to be at the venue. As a result, we ended up scrambling last minute to get our own makeup done and were late to the wedding. I know this is not directly Mardi's fault, but it is her partner that she works with so I cannot say I would recommend them based on the way everything was handled. Never heard a word from either Owen or Mardi after the fact which was disappointing, especially since I paid a $100 deposit for services that were not completed! It's a shame Mardi's good work was overshadowed by the rest of the unprofessionalism, but this was a pretty bad chain of events.

Mardi was amazing and her team did above and beyond for my wedding day. She is able to create wavy and curly styles from stringy straight long hair. I would recommend her to anyone that has a greater Baltimore wedding!

Mardi was amazing!! She captured exactly what I wanted for my wedding and saved the day!! The morning of my wedding, my 2nd hair stylist had a medical emergency and couldn’t make it. Mardi on a moments noticed and with out any hesitation, calmly stepped in, did my hair, did my 3 bridesmaids’ hair, did both of my sisters’ hair and did my Aunt ‘s hair!! She was a true professional and made what I thought was impossible….Possible!! Never once did I feel stressed. Never once did I feel rushed!! She made me feel at ease throughout the entire morning and made me feel like I had nothing to worry about! She truly saved my wedding and on top of all that, we all loved our hair and looked beautiful!!

Marty is amazing. She was so flexible and relaxed and made such an effort to make my hair look like I envisioned for my wedding day. She is friendly and works hard. Marty also did a great job on all my bridesmaids hair, everyone really like their hair. I would 100% recommend Marty and use her again!!

Great stylist. Very professional and kept details of the wedding confidential. (Very important to us) We had a minor set back on wedding day tho but it was resolved within an hour. It all worked out and everyone was finished in time! Highly recommend.

Mardi did incredible updo’s for 6 of us to include the bride’s mother for my niece’s wedding on December 7, 2019 (I am late to review). Mardi came to Hunt Valley to accommodate us. I was concerned about time management but Mardi handled all 6 of us with time to spare. She is extremely efficient, professional, and personable. I highly recommend Mardi if you want to look your very best and be stress free.

Mardi made my wedding party look like a DREAM-- she nailed the tight timeline and managed to get me, 9 bridesmaids, 1 Jr. bridesmaid, and 2 moms (13 people) finished and looking our best in 6 hours by HERSELF!! Our hair stayed all night long and everyone was happy!

Mardi is very professional and accommodating! She came to my house the day of my wedding with an assistant to do mine, my whole bridal party, my mother, and my mother-in-law’s hair. She showed up a few minutes early and was ready to go right away. Her and her assistant finished everyone’s hair with enough time to do touch-ups for anyone who needed them. Almost everyone’s hair held up throughout a humid August day wedding. Mardi did a trial for me ahead of time to see what hairstyle I would like for my wedding day. She also did an amazing job with my highlights a week before my wedding. She is now my go-to hairstylist, even after my wedding.

Mardi Mack did an amazing job creating beautiful and elegant hair styles for my wedding. She designed a side updo for me with a really pretty clip, and I just loved how it came out. My look got so many compliments, which was especially great because I took a boat ride to the wedding venue, instead of a limo! My 5 bridesmaids all wanted different things, and their updos looked really classy. Each look was very detailed and held so nicely all night, even my tiny flower girl’s! The wedding was formal, and what I loved most was that each hairstyle was a cut above your typical look, and not the cliche bun of curls pinned down. Mardi was also very accommodating and helped calm my nerves on the big day! I highly recommend Wave Hair Trends, and want to go back for all of my fancy events!

Consultation was easy and she did everything I asked. She also traveled to my venue. At the trial she took the time to show me the half up/half down style that I was thinking of doing for my wedding day, but then also took additional time to put it up so I could get a feel for both. She was so fun to work with on the day of. Everyone’s hair looked so pretty. The moms didn’t necessarily want an up do or anything fancy so Mardi was able to give them the simple yet polished look they wanted. They looked great and were so happy! Can’t say enough positive things. Just an overall enjoyable experience.

Mardi is the best! She did hair for my wedding in September 1.5 hrs away and is the lady you want with you for any big occasion. She was flexible during my trial, trying up-do and down styles to make sure I was completely happy with the wedding look. Day of, she was there early, and did the wedding party and family - whatever style each person wanted and was calm and funny the entire day. She stayed through the start of pictures to handle any touch ups needed. Five stars and highly recommend.

Had a 5 star experience with Mardi! I got married in the middle of August and was quite concerned about the heat and frizzy hair on my special day. During my trail, she tried multiple looks just to make sure I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. On the day of the wedding, my hair held all day, long into the night and I didn't have to worry about it once! I also feared the time constraint and getting to the church on time - Not to fear with Mardi. Not only did she make me feel beautiful, but she flawlessly styled my mom and 7 other bridesmaids. She arrived to my house by 7am and thoughtfully planned each attendants hair styles around their makeup. Mardi's updos definitely completed each and every look and made myself, my mother and all the bridesmaids feel beautiful. 10 out of 10, would recommend. Thanks, Mardi!

Mardi can almost work miracles! I had her start working on removing my grey and adding nice highlights months before my daughter's wedding. On the big day, my hair was styled so beautifully that many wedding guests thought that I was my maid of honor daughter as I was escorted in by my sons! Mardi came to my house very early on the wedding day and professionally handled me, 7 bridesmaids and the stunning bride. She worked tirelessly on her feet for hours keeping cheerful and clean, responding positively to our every request. She managed to deal with hair of all lengths and textures. Each hairstyle was unique and elegant, per each girl's request. Mardi couldn't have done any better and I highly recommend her! Many blessings to each new bride on her wedding day!

I was the Mother of the Bride and my daughter Jamie was the Bride and my other daughter Nikki was the Maid of the Honor. Our sytlist Mardi Mack was unbelievable. She did 6 bridesmaid, myself , the maid of Honor and The most important my daughter The bride. She did each girl hair did what ever style they wanted and she could do any style that they wanted. Once she started she never stopped once. She was very professional but made each girl feel important with their style especially the bride. I told her what ever she thought would be a great style for my hair and she made me look awesome. She used a flat iron like I never saw on me. She curled my hair with it and I looked awesome. She was reasonable priced for each girl depending on the hair length. I recommend them to anyone. For one person she made this whole wedding party look amazing. Mardi Mack is the Best!!!!!!

I had such a great experience! There was 9 girls that needed to be done and we all got done in a timely fashion and we all looked spectacular. All of our hair lasted all day into the night and through all the dancing! I couldn't have been happier!

They were affordable and super talented! My sister is getting married this year and is also using them for hair and makeup. they were able to look at my pictures and create a hairstyle that reflected my personality for my wedding day! my maid of honor's hair also looked incredible! we all did hair and make-up and I would use them again in a heartbeat! very excited to get to experience their talent as maid of honor in my sister's wedding!

I strongly do not recommend this hair stylist. My contract was for 5 people. Closer to the wedding I called to let her know there would actually be 5 girls and a flower girl making it 6 people. We decided on a time for her to get to the house on the day of the wedding. I sent her a text a little more than 24 hrs before my wedding, to let her know 2 people had backed out the night before, the count was down to 4 people. She told me that she was still going to charge for the 2 that canceled. Because leaving her vacation wasn’t worth it if two people canceled. And I said understandable, let me tell them. I told her she was still going to get paid the full amount for 6 people. Not once ever saying I was going to cancel she started encouraging me to find another hair stylist, she would give me my deposit back and she would just stay on vacation. She herself reached out to other stylist to see if they were available for me. She kept me updated but I didn’t respond to her. I was in the middle of stressing out trying to figure out how to make this work with her or to find someone to replace her. After an hour I’m thinking her friends weren’t available cuz she panicked and told me that she was actually having a family emergency. I still hadn’t responded to her. Another hour goes by, she tells me she is going to leave her vacation and is still showing up to do hair. I told her to stay on vacation we had found a replacement. She asked for my address to send the money to, so I sent it to her. After a month of no check in the mail. I decided to text her. She told me she was on the fence because she didn’t actually cancel. (I remind you she was on Vacation and then had a family emergency.) After clearing up who actually canceled she agreed to send my deposit to me but she felt not obligated. A negative review was but on her page by someone I know. This hair stylist then tried to threaten me. Told me to take it down or she wouldn’t send me deposit. Needless to say she is very stressful and unprofessional.

Thank you so much Mardi for helping achieve my perfect "look" on my wedding day and for bringing the biggest smiles to my Mom and Mother in Law when you also did their hair. And thank you for being so flexible on the day of the wedding, offering to help with anything and for making everything so easy.

Mardi from Wave Hair trends is an amazing hair stylist. I called her last minute because my stylist cancelled on me. Mardi was able to do a trial for me right away and be there for my wedding day. My hair came out better than I could have ever expected. It stayed all day through dinner and dancing and even the after party. If you are looking for a great hairstylist for your wedding book mardi!

Mardi did a fabulous job with my bridesmaids and me for my wedding day. I have very long, thick, coarse, curly hair; she listened to exactly what I wanted, and then made it happen. I was changing into a reception dress and wanted my hair to be down for the reception, but up for the ceremony; she magically made my hair stay up for the ceremony, and styled it in such a way that it was perfect when I took it down for the reception. I even made a slight tweak from my trial to the wedding day, and she simply confirmed that she understood the adjustment, then proceeded without missing a beat. On that note, she was very accommodating when it came to scheduling my trial, and remembered exactly what we had discussed on my wedding day, which was three months later. Mardi works very quickly, which was great and actually kept us running ahead of schedule. I had different looks for each of my girls, and she emulated styles that I provided with photographs, while making adjustments to suit the different hair textures. Wedding guests were amazed that the bridal party's hair held up for the entire evening; we had an outdoor ceremony and tent reception, on the hottest night in June. The humidity was insane, but everyone's hair looked beautiful. Mardi is very sociable and made great conversation with each of my bridesmaids, as well as my six year old flower girl. She was truly a pleasure to work with, and she made everyone look wonderful!! I would be happy to work with her again, if the need arose!

Mardi from Wave Hair Trends and Natallia from Wedding Makeup in Baltimore did my wedding hair and makeup for the big day. I was able to have a trial months before and knew that these were the women I wanted to surround my family and friends the morning of my wedding. Mardi and Natallia came to my home, arrived on time, and operated very efficiently to prep 2 mothers, 5 bridesmaids, and me in our time frame. I felt confident the whole time, knowing that everyone would love their hair and makeup and finish in time. Mardi and Natallia were kind, funny, easy-going professionals; they were able to do the hair and makeup styles the girls were suggesting with ease. My girls looked absolutely gorgeous and told me that they felt like themselves, which I considered to be the highest compliment. I loved my own look too, which made me eager to get down that aisle! The cost for service was comparable and worth every penny. I highly recommend Wave Hair Trends and Wedding Makeup in Baltimore! Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about Mardi- she was FANTASTIC! My hair looked amazing, and it stayed in place all night. My bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law were all extremely happy with their hair- she even taught us some fun hair tricks, like how to make curls with a straightening iron. When I first set out to find a hair stylist for my bridesmaids I was immediately impressed by the portfolio and reviews I saw on Wedding Wire and The Knot for Mardi & Wave Hair Trends. With hardly a negative word to be said and great pictures I moved forward and signed a contract with Mardi in September 2014. Then came the red flags - the first in November 2014. I got an email from Mardi thanking me for my interest in her services and saying she would be honored to work with me and that she was available. The alarming part was I had already booked her for my day and she was telling “someone else” she was available that same day. So I contacted her to confirm she had my date reserved. Two days later I still hadn't gotten a response so I followed up. She confirmed I was on her calendar & I kind of just swept it under the rug. Then in April (a few months before my event) I got in touch to try and get a timeline together. I asked how long it would take for each bridesmaid and she told me about 30 min per bridesmaid and 45 min for me. I had to remind her that I had someone else doing my hair and it was only bridesmaids. I asked for a 9:30 start time and sent her a schedule with the half hour intervals she had specified. Red flag 2: She asked me to send her a reminder on the start time and the address of the venue a week prior to the event. As a professional working with brides, I feel like she should have set her own reminder based on the contract I sent. When you’re planning every detail of your wedding the last thing you need to try to remember a week before your event is to email your hair stylist. Nonetheless, a week out I sent her an email reminder and resent the schedule with a 9:30 a.m. start time. Red flag 3: On my wedding day around 8:00 a.m. I was in the shower and got a call from Mardi that she had arrived and was ready to start. One of my bridesmaids told her we didn’t have her starting until 9:30 so she said she’d go get breakfast. She called back shortly after and asked if she could start earlier, but no one was ready as they were all prepared to start at 9:30 a.m. When Mardi did arrive and got set up she had a noticeable attitude. I tried not to pay attention, but it definitely put a damper on the getting ready process that’s supposed to be so fun. Several times throughout the day she tried to rush people into the chair before they were ready and was just very unpleasant and unprofessional. She showed up with only a hair straightener (no curler because she does her curls with a straightener) and no mirror to show the girls their hair (she had to borrow one from another stylist). Several of the girls showed her pictures of how they wanted their hair and when it turned out differently or they asked for changes she also had an attitude. Red flag 4: Once she had finished and everyone went to pay her she said that her price was $80. I had told everyone $75 and was confused where the $80 price was coming from. I had to search through my phone to find our string of emails to show her where she had told me $75. This was sooooo frustrating and the last thing I wanted to be doing the day of my wedding. Overall, my ENTIRE experience – from start to finish – with Mardi was horrible. I have to wonder how everyone else seemed to have such a great experience when mine was sooo terrible. I would never recommend her to anyone and would advise other brides to really look around and consider this experience before choosing to work with Mardi.

Mardi and Natasha were great! Both women provided outstanding, professional service. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, both of which lasted through 10 hours of dancing, sweating, eating, and drinking. I would definitely recommend their services to any of my friends getting married or attending a special event.

Mardi was great to work with for my wedding hair. She was easy to contact in regards to a hair trial and also for the wedding day. She stayed on scheduled and gave everyone the type of hair that they requested. I have also had my hair done as a bridesmaids multiple time by her and she remains to stay consistent in quality.

Mardi is fabulous. She did my hair for a wedding I was in! She did exactly what I wanted! It was modern, clean and I felt beautiful! I strongly recommend considering I am extremely picky!

Mardi was my hair stylist for my wedding this past June. I have very thin, fine hair, and was nervous about getting the full and loose wedding up do that I desired. From the moment I started e-mailing Mardi and explaining my situation, she helped guide me to purchase clip in extensions, which was a totally new concept for me. She helped assure me she would make sure they stayed in and were not noticeable. On the wedding day, she worked seamlessly and efficiently to style my 5 bridesmaids, mother, mother in law, and me. My hair stayed in perfect all day/night, and there was no way any one could tell I had extensions clipped in. Also, a lot of my girls had really thick hair, but this did not throw us off schedule, and their hair still stayed in perfectly. Mardi truly helped me achieve the look I was going for, which I did not think I could pull off. She is kind and professional, and couldn't recommend her more!

Mardi did an amazing job on my hair and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding day! She works extremely fast and makes sure your hair looks exactly how you want it to. My hair is super straight but with Mardi's help, the curls stayed in all night long. Mardi was punctual and professional and helped make the getting ready process feel stress free and fun. My hair was picture perfect, I really felt like a beautiful bride! My mom and bridesmaids were brilliantly done as well. My style was elegant, natural, and held all night long. Mardi did my hair for my sister in law's wedding last year, so when the time came for me to decide who I wanted to go with, the decision was very easy. I got married in Bethany Beach, DE and had a very large wedding party. (10 bridesmaids, a flower girl, 2 moms and myself). Our ceremony started at 1:30PM, so it was a lot of girls to take care of early morning/in a shorter amount of time. Mardi brought an assistant, and wasn't stressed at all about the numbers, timing, etc. She made the morning extremely enjoyable for my wedding party. She really listened to what the girls wanted, and if something wasn't exactly right, she changed it without giving it a second thought. Mardi is very professional, fun and talented. Mardi and her assistant did a wonderful job on my hair (the bride), my bridesmaids' hair, the Mother of the Bride and the flower girls! Mardi was able to create several different styles based on each person's desired look including loose curls down, half up/half down, up-dos, pony tails, braids etc. Our hair lasted all night and even looked great the next morning! You can't go wrong with this vendor!

Mardi did the hair for my daughters wedding . She was able to do all 5 bridesmaids, the bride and the mother of the bride. Each and every girl looked stunning! I would highly recommend her services.

Mardi did my hair for my wedding on October 4th. She did an amazing job! I have stick straight hair that does not hold a curl at all. I have had my hair done by professionals and curled and half up/half down before but my hair would fall within an hour. When Mardi did my hair it stayed all night long and was even a little curled the next day. My ceremony was outside, on the water and it was extremely windy and my hair still looked great! We did end up running a little short on time at the end and a bridesmaid had to get a quick hairstyle done (still looked so beautiful) but I think we ran short on time because I had 10 girls getting hair done and almost all of them had very long, thick hair. Mardi is a perfectionist and does an amazing job! I will be going to her any time I need a formal hairstyle. I highly recommend her!

I have never felt so beautiful and it was all because of the way my hair and make up looked. They are friendly and you get exactly what you pay for. Mardi even let me do a second hair trial because I changed my mind so many times. HIGHLY recommended!

I used Wave Hair Trends for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding hairstyles. She was professional, on-time, and the quality of her work was out of this world! I didn't have to worry about my hair falling apart in the middle of my reception because her design was executed perfectly and she made sure that I didn't have to worry about my hair at all late into the evening. My daughter Kellie got married on Aug. 10th at the Chesapeake Beach Bay Club. We had Mardi Mack with Wave Hair Trends come to the hotel to do our hair. There were seven of us and Mardi stayed on time and did a fantastic job on each of us. I absolutely loved my hair and was given many, many compliments throughout the whole wedding. All the girls in the wedding party and including my daughter the bride looked sensational. Our hair held the whole night. We were all very pleased with Mardi's work and would highly recommend her for your wedding!!
