Wedding Planning Plus is the best! I had the pleasure of working with them for my wedding this past September, and I don’t know how we could have pulled it off without them. If you are reading this and debating whether or not to hire a wedding planner, I not only recommend getting one, I definitely recommend Wedding Planning Plus.
As we were moving through the planning process, WPP was great at helping us stay on track and definitely had the expertise needed to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Margette was extremely helpful in planning the florals and design of our wedding, and Eliza was there every step of the way to make us feel at ease so we didn’t get too stressed but also pushed us along so that we kept up with everything.
WPP was great for helping to plan the wedding, and they came through even more on the wedding day itself. We felt a little scattered on our day, and Eliza was able to pull everything together and make it really easy for us. We had some unexpected rain on our day, which changed our plans for the ceremony. Eliza was able to reorganize our ceremony and put together something that was as beautiful as we could have hoped for. WPP also was able to set up our table settings just as we had imagined, amongst MANY other things. They really came through and pulled it all together. You will not be disappointed if you decide to work with this team!
I had the absolute pleasure of working with WPP for my recent October wedding and it was truly the best decision I could have made. Having gotten engaged NYE 2023 and knowing we wanted to get married the following fall in upstate NY we knew we needed to hire a wedding planner to help us plan our perfect wedding in only 9 months. We booked their partial planning package and it made the planning process so much more enjoyable.
We were so lucky to get to work with so many members of the team in the process. Shannon helped us with our venue search by helping us narrowing down what would work best for us which was so important since we were planning an out of state wedding. Eliza was phenomenal to work with and helped us to find amazing vendors to work with and there to answer all of our questions along the way. Their incredible in house designer, Margette, went above and beyond to bring out vision to life, sometimes interpreting what I wanted before I even knew what it was. She not only tied all of my napkins into bows she also helped me source a special bar for the martini bar so I could have the vintage look I was imagining. We could not have pulled off the most perfect day without the whole team.
The entire team is exceptional and I can not say enough good things about them all. Thank you for making our day truly special and unforgettable.
We worked with WPP for partial planning for our August 2024 wedding. They were all really great and helpful, and I'm entirely confident we wouldn't have been able to pull off our wedding day without them, What I found a little challenging was working with 3 different people (1 person for 5ish months on general planning, another for design elements, and a third for month-of coordinating/day of). During our initial conversation, Shannon made this format very clear so it wasn't a surprise but I found it to be a bit disjointed and like they weren't always in sync with each other. Sometimes I felt they weren't proactive with our planning, and rather waited for us to come to them with questions/ideas/concerns, and then they were quick to help. Overall, we had a very good experience working with the WPP team and they helped us have the wedding of our dreams.

We used Wedding Planning Plus on a partial plan for our June 2024 wedding, and they were really great for us. Alex was our go-to, and she was wonderful. She helped keep us on schedule in planning and with the details that we probably wouldn’t have thought about. She gave us advice when we needed it. She pointed us in the right direction when we were looking for specific things. And she was phenomenal on the actual wedding day. Alissa, Shannon and Kaylee were also great, and Margette did a great job working with us on the design components. They are absolutely worth hiring.
Working with Shannon and WPP was one of the best decisions we made. Shannon worked hard to ensure that our wedding day would feel effortless to us, and it truly did. My wife and I were able to focus solely on soaking in our day because of Shannon and her team. We could not recommend WPP more!!
I had an incredible wedding experience with Wedding Planning Plus. Alex was a wonderful POC for the planning process and made sure that I was taken care of when we had to work around the Belmont Stakes. I adored the vendors she connected me with and had a phenomenal working experience with my onsite team. Leah and Margette navigated a truly heartbreaking turn of events when my grandmother passed on my wedding day. The care and expertise they showed that day will always stay with me and I will always associate the two of them with the joy I was able to feel on a very overwhelming day.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to choose Wedding Planning Plus for our special day. From start to finish, working with Eliza and the team was an absolute pleasure.
From the very first meeting, Eliza's professionalism and attentiveness were evident. She promptly responded to all of our emails and texts, ensuring that every question and concern was addressed promptly and professionally.
During our rehearsal dinner, Eliza's attention to detail was remarkable. She ensured that our rentals were organized and took the time to walk us through every aspect of the upcoming day. Her detailed timelines for the bridal party made everyone feel at ease and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
On the wedding day itself, Eliza and her team were absolute stars. They arrived prepared and executed every detail flawlessly. Their communication with each other was seamless, and they never once showed any signs of nervousness or panic. One of the things that stood out most about working with Eliza was her personal touch. Hiring Wedding Planning Plus for our wedding day was by far one of the best decisions we could have made! We were really on the fence of even hiring a day of coordinator and boy are we glad we did. Shannon was so easy to chat with, accessible for any and all questions we had leading up (including with venue hiccups), and on the day of swooped in with her assistant Kristina and helped everything run perfectly. We worked with her as our month of coordinator as we had already identified all the vendors and booked things, but when others brought in chaotic energy, Shannon de-stressed and de-escalated everything so we were totally chill for our big day. She was a dream partner!

Kristina was an absolute lifesaver on our wedding day, and in the weeks leading up to the wedding. All we heard from our other vendors during those final few weeks was how impressed they were with her level of preparedness, forethought, and attention to detail. We are so grateful to Shannon and the rest of the Wedding Planning Plus team for helping us bring our dream wedding to reality! We hired Shannon in January 2021 for our October 2022 wedding as a partial planner. Shannon helped us find some of our most important vendors, like our caterer, entertainment, and rentals, and she was also a big help when it came time for us to figure out how to articulate our vision for the day. While her help leading up to the day was great, it was really the wedding coordinating services that allowed us to sit back and enjoy our wedding day. Shannon was with me every step of the way including printing out itineraries for all of our families and members of our wedding party, keeping me calm and assuring me at all moments that we were on schedule, and even putting my veil in right before the ceremony. She really heard everything we said about timing and made sure we maximized dancing (which was very important to us). She is an absolute delight to work with and honestly, she felt more like an old friend than a wedding coordinator. I can’t even imagine all of the things they did behind the scenes to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. If you’re looking for a planner or coordinator, look no further!
Simply put, I never would have survived my wedding or rehearsal without the help and guidance of Shannon and her team. Our weekly calls with Leah always left us feeling confident and calm. She was so kind, hardworking, and organized as we worked on the detailed timeline together. She also offered wonderful advice and ideas! On the day of our wedding, we felt so assured knowing that Leah and Eliza were working hard in the background to make sure that all of those meaningful details came together in the way we wanted and that our vendors had all of the information they needed. They made sure everything was returned safely to our hotel room at the end of the night as we headed out to our after party and they handed out our vendor tips as well. The best choice for our wedding was hiring Shannon! As a wedding photographer, I was very picky and opinionated about the look, feel, and flow of our wedding. We wanted someone who was going to say YES we can make that happen rather than NO we can't do that and I feel like Shannon and her team did that and more. Shannon and her team are absolutely fantastic at what they do. We worked with Shannon for the month leading up to our wedding in Germantown, NY and she was a pleasure to work with in the run-up and on the day. We had several Zoom calls to run through the planning and logistics and Shannon thought of all of the details and helped us make decisions by offering thoughtful advice. On the day, Shannon and her team ensured everyone knew what they were doing and where to be. Our venue required us to hire everything from a caterer and florist to rentals, shuttles, golf carts, and a band and having someone to coordinate with all of the vendors and create a timetable was a lifesaver. We moved 150 people to three different sites on the venue throughout the day but everything worked like clockwork. Highly recommend Shannon and the Wedding Planning Plus team.

Shannon helped us create our dream wedding. We live in Dallas, TX and decided we would like a destination wedding in the Finger Lakes, NY region. Given the number of Finger Lakes and the multitude of wedding venues, we needed Shannon's help. She gave us numerous suggestions on venues and after a site visit of top choices, we made our selection. We also knew that we needed Wedding Planning Plus to help us identify other quality vendors in the area for floral, DJ Services and photography. Again, top marks for Wedding Planning Plus recommendations!
Wedding Planning Plus also supported us on our actual wedding day. Shannon was available and on-site and worked with the local venue team to ensure every detail was in place and our every need met so that we could focus on enjoying our event, our families and friends and each other. It was wonderful and gave us peace of mind knowing that venue teams are working double time/over time due to short staffing. It was great to have this added support -- not just for us but for our wedding venue team as well.

Our main point of contact with WPP was Kate LaFerriere. I want to tell a quick story about our day because it's important to understand in order for us to accurately review Kate as our wedding planner.
Our ceremony was set to begin at 4pm with massive thunderstorms expected in the area right around the ceremony start time. A decision needed to be made of whether we could do the ceremony in the outdoor gardens of our venue or inside the barn where the reception would also take place. Kate, as a planner, I'm sure really wanted a decision as soon as possible in order to set up everything for our guests but she was never pushing us to a decision we did not want to make. She truly listened, consulted and offered up her suggestions while keeping a calm demeanor.
We all agreed if we could move the ceremony up just 15 minutes, we might be able to make it work to have the ceremony outside.
Even with the new schedule, all of our guests arrived just in time as the storm clouds really began to roll in. Vows were exchanged, a kiss to seal the deal and all of our guests rushed into the barn. I'm happy to report, not a single guest felt the wrath of the rain that began to come down no less than 10 seconds after the last guest stumbled into the safe dry barn.
My wife and I walked to the back of the barn to grab a drink and begin the tour of greeting all our guests. One of the first things I noticed was all of our smiling guests relieved they'd made it to the barn safe and dry and in that moment, I saw walk through the barn doors - soaking wet from the rain, it was our wedding planner Kate LaFerriere. She was completely drenched in a room full of dry, happy people.
Kate possesses all the best qualities for the perfect wedding planner. She has the finest attention to the little details that make a big difference. She always has a calm demeanor - with all the details and timelines she had to manage anyone could easily be flustered under the circumstances. But any interaction with the bride or groom on the day of was done graciously with a soft calm voice, and everything was communicated very clearly to both of us. But I think the greatest quality Kate possessed was selflessness. I go back to the moment of seeing Kate drenched in a room full of dry people. It was a reminder to me, the sacrifices another person was willing to make for delivering us the most perfect day.
From listening to us in our pre-wedding planning meetings, all the way through the execution of all that planning, Kate was flawless throughout and the day turned out even better than what we could have imagined.
In getting to know Kate we also know she will have her own wedding to look forward to in the near future. The greatest compliment we can pass along is the hope that on your special day, you have a planner as dedicated, selfless and amazing as you were on our day - to deliver you and your guests a memorable day. Wedding Planning Plus to the rescue! Shannon and her team are an incredible to work with. Alex was our main planner and we were so grateful for everything she had done for us. She was always on point and communicated with us frequently to make sure we were in the loop. I am so grateful we ended up hiring them because we had to bring all of our vendors into our venue and to communicate constantly with so many people was stressful. Alex took that stress right off our shoulders and did an awesome job to make sure everyone was on the same page.
I can't recommend them enough! If you need a planner, they are reasonably priced and honestly worth everything to make your big day a dream come true. I couldn't imagine having all that extra stress on my big day!

Choosing Wedding Planning Plus to help us plan our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding process. I had the pleasure of working with Shannon and Alex and it was truly a dream. From the very first day, I felt more at ease. Shannon has an incredible ability to connect with her brides and grooms – she just gets it! I was so impressed by how well she understood us, helped us craft our vision, and turned that into a reality. A few highlights from our experience:
1) Shannon will take the time to talk to you through the options of any scenario calmly, patiently and informatively. Being a COVID bride, we hit some rough patches which included us needing to change our reception venue less than two months before the wedding. Shannon helped us weigh the pros and cons at length until we were comfortable with our decision. She took the lead on researching other venues quickly and made all necessary adjustments with our vendors.
2) Speaking of vendors - Shannon has a vast circle of killer vendor recommendations. People are still talking about our vendors and many have mentioned they were some of the best they had ever experienced at a wedding. And when working with each vendor you can tell how much they respect and are excited to work with Shannon again. If you don’t believe me, take it from the multiple vendors that told us Shannon is the best wedding planner they have ever worked with!
3) The wedding weekend was absolutely flawless. I felt so confident knowing Shannon and Alex were there thinking through every detail. I was really able to sit back, relax, and just enjoy the day. And that’s a lot coming from my husband and I – we are both very detail oriented and are perfectionist with party planning, so this is very hard for us to do at times!
Do yourself a favor and hire Wedding Planning Plus! You will not be disappointed and your wedding experience (and that of your guests) will be better because of it!!
We originally hired Wedding Planning Plus for month of coordination back in August 2019 for an August 2020 wedding, and they have been lifesavers for every step of this wild journey! As COVID hit in spring 2020, Shannon was super proactive and helpful as we navigated postponement. Then, when our original venue closed in December 2020 and we needed to pivot again, Shannon rescued us from our panic, contacting dozens of venues overnight and helping us secure a new venue and caterer for our same date within a matter of weeks in the middle of the holidays. As we hit the month of our now September 2021 wedding and dealt with the uncertainties created by the delta variant and its impact on the endless evolution of our guest list, Alex was always there with answers to our questions and to help us update all necessary plans and quickly communicate these updates to vendors accordingly. On the day of our wedding, Alex and WPP kept all of the coordinating of multiple levels of complicated logistics totally off our plate. And they dealt with very unexpected, potentially chaos-inducing fires - collapsing chuppahs, an emergency that prevented our original Rabbi from being able to make it on an hour's notice - without us feeling so much as a bump. We are so thankful for all their help!
One of the best decisions I made for my wedding day was to use the Day of Coordination from Wedding Planning Plus. I had the honor of working with Kate LaFerriere and Erin Rueckert. A month before the wedding, I began meeting with Kate to finalize my wedding timeline and details. Kate was incredibly patient, understanding, and helpful throughout the planning process.
On the wedding day, Kate and Erin took care of all the behind the scenes details so that me and my family could relax and enjoy the day. Both ladies made sure all of the items were in place at the church and assisted with the flow of the ceremony. They did an amazing job of setting up our reception venue with all of our personal touches.
Kate was definitely the glue that held the wedding weekend together. She was the go-to person for the vendors and our large wedding party (20 people!). Kate was such a calming presence and she alleviated any of my concerns. She also checked in with me throughout the night to make sure I was eating enough and had a beer! At the end of the night, Kate brought our decorations, gifts, family photographs, and bouquets back to our hotel room. She even saved a dessert tray for me and my husband- she knows the way to my heart! Kate had taken pictures on my phone throughout the night and it was such a nice surprise to see the pictures the next day when I wanted to relive our wedding day.
The ladies at Wedding Planning Plus made wedding planning organized and stress-free. Thanks to Kate and Erin, I was able to be fully present with my husband and our loved ones. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work, attention to detail, and for going above and beyond for me on my wedding day. Both ladies truly put their heart into all that they do, and I am so honored that they were a part of my wedding day! I got married on a little lake near Lake George that has no service and I live on Long Island. So the planning process was a tad stressful. However hiring Wedding Planning Plus really made things so much easier! I got to work with Aissa for the pre-day-of things. She was on top of my vendors making sure they knew where to go and when. Then on the day of there was also Leah there to help. They were amazing! The day of they were so on top of everything! I was able to actually breathe and enjoy my day! (Although it is true that it goes by way too quick!) I highly recommend hiring them! You will not be disappointed!
We reserved the Canfield Casino in the fall of 2019 for a June 2021 wedding. We had no idea what was yet to come. For a long time we believed we would go to the Justice of the Peace to marry us and forgo any celebration, for safety reasons. As vaccinations became available and restrictions were slowly eased, we were able to plan our wedding - in 4 months.
We hired Shannon to help us make our date special. Her dedication and expertise, helped us navigate all the challenges. She was so organized and was on top of all the every changing rules and restrictions. She coordinated all the vendors and helped us make our wedding day perfect.

I am (was?) a covid bride. Originally Shannon and her team had started about 14 months prior to our wedding date planning a spectacular, bespoke 100 person 3-day wedding at a personal home on Seneca Lake in June of 2020.
The vendors carefully matched (worth her weight IN GOLD - Grateful Dead Cover band - check; Brunch from Elf and the Oak, check; perfectly curated florist matching our style perfectly - check), the logistics sorted out (we live in Boston), and therapy sessions at the ready, we were about to send out our invitations but then decided to be better safe than sorry.
Even though we had to change our wedding to an "anniversary" celebration in 2021, Shannon was at the ready, reading contracts, communicating and re-arranging vendors, and making sure that every i was dotted and t was crossed for 2021 for the "anniversary" party.
Did I mention she then CONTINUED to plan our micro-wedding in June 2020? While our wedding style changed, Shannon's regular check-ins, original vendors, and practical guides made our 12 person wedding perhaps even more SPECIAL!
Now it makes me a little sad to write this, as it was not the 2020 Wedding we imagined, but we are grateful for having hired Shannon and if we had to do it again, we would.
When we decided to have an outdoor wedding 4 hours away from home we knew we would need an amazing team of vendors to help us pull it off. After our first conversation with Shannon, we knew she would be the perfect wedding planner for us and she did not disappoint.
From our first call to our wedding day, Shannon was incredible to work with. She did a remarkable job of breaking down each step in our planning process into manageable components. Shannon kept us right on track leading up to our wedding and made excellent vendor recommendations along the way. Not only was every call with her fun, but my fiance and I always felt like she understood us and that she had everything under control.
On our wedding day Shannon kept the day moving smoothly and was such a calming presence. My fiance and I were really able to take a step back and be present with our family and friends.
We had a very particular vision in mind for the day and when Shannon brought us into the tent before our guests arrived, it took our breath away. She absolutely nailed every aspect of our wedding. Our wedding was incredibly beautiful and when I see pictures of the day, I am in awe of what we were able to accomplish.
Shannon is extremely hard working, from making changes to our rental tables the day before our wedding to pinning up my dress because I danced so hard it broke, she took care of everything.
To make a long story short, hire her. You will not regret it. And if you're a Colgate Alum getting married on campus, DEFINITELY hire her.
Working with Shannon was a fantastic experience -- both for us and for our daughter and her fiance/husband! Shannon was recommended to us by another family who had worked with her and had a similarly positive experience. From our initial meeting, Shannon was very attuned to understanding the vision our daughter and her fiance had for their wedding, as well as our goals as parents and hosts for the weekend wedding celebration. She had very strong insights into a broad range of vendors (geographically), and we feel we had the "A Team" of partners (vendors) as a result of Shannon's network (wedding at Lake George, NY, band from Manhattan, caterers from Albany, etc.). While Shannon had not previously organized a wedding at our chosen venue, she quickly immersed herself to become familiar and very comfortable with the location and the local team -- and added significant value in expanding the vision to create the absolutely perfect setting.
The wedding weekend was comprehensive and complex -- 165 guests from all over the world; welcome reception/dinner on Friday night, wedding preparation and festivities on Saturday, farewell brunch on Sunday -- all at different venues with different staffs and caterers; shuttle buses from hotels to venues; etc. Shannon was instrumental in planning virtually the entire wedding weekend, was respectful of our budget, and consistently provided insights and ideas that really made the event even more special -- several times for minimal or even lower cost than what we had budgeted. There is no way that we would have successfully pulled off this type of celebration without Shannon's attention to every detail.
Shannon and her team were particularly helpful on wedding day. She did a fantastic job anticipating every need, created a very thorough and accurate timeline for what was going to happen when (no surprises), and was available at all times to address any concerns or questions -- no matter how trivial.
Shannon was a calming influence throughout the planning process, and skillfully navigated the preparations and discussions with both our daughter and her fiance, as well as with us as parents. We feel strongly that her involvement was a blessing to us throughout the planning process, and helped this period to be a wonderful time for us as a family -- and a time that we will always look back on and cherish.

I was an event planner myself for years, so I hope it bears the weight intended when I say that our Wedding Planning Plus engagement was the best and most important money we spent on our wedding! We had our wedding at our family property in Greenfield Center, but we live in LA, and Shannon was wonderful working with us to plan our wedding from across the country. We were also a bit late to the planning process, and had some speed bumps along the way, but Shannon always told us exactly what we needed to do, what it would cost, and gave us lots of options to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She has such great relationships with the best vendors in the area, and all of them love to work with her, so you can be sure that you are getting the absolute best if you hire her!

Our wedding day was absolutely the most perfect and magical day thanks to Shannon and her team! Aissa was always on the ball, whenever I needed her she was right by my side, she was answering my questions before I asked, and was always one step ahead! The wedding was absolutely perfect, and if something went wrong, we didn't know about it. She handled everything so calmly, and stayed with us the ENTIRE night... our wedding ended at midnight. Even though she has a family, she stayed later to help bring everything to our bridal suite and made it super easy for us to pack everything in the morning. She is a class act, and a superb planner! I literally told Shannon on my wedding day that she was the best thing to ever happen to me. That might be a slight exaggeration (my new husband probably wins that prize), but WPP was absolutely the best money I spent for my wedding. She made the planning process so easy. I loved all the vendors she recommended and didn't have to do nearly as much work doing research, trials, etc. to get awesome vendors. She's super nice, organized, and great to work with. She'll take the time to listen to what kind of wedding you want and suggest vendors accordingly vs. having a cookie cutter plan she uses for everyone. The really valuable part, however, came in her day-of coordinating. She had all the vendors on the same page, and she and her assistants handled absolutely everything you can think of (and a bunch of things you won't think of) on the wedding day. I didn't have to answer a single question from vendors, grab anyone to be in a picture, tell anyone from the wedding party where to be when, pick up cards/gifts/welcome sign the next day, etc. She did it all. I think the best part of hiring WPP is the peace of mind it provides. Something unexpected will inevitably happen on your wedding day, but chances are Shannon has handled it before. For me, one of my bridesmaids' dress split open right before we walked down the aisle. Shannon pinned it up without missing a beat and no one even noticed. Without her, one of my best friends would've had to stand in the back of the church and not be a part of my wedding ceremony. Instead she stood up there with me looking beautiful and now, we have a hilarious story. I know a wedding planner may not sound necessary, but letting yourself enjoy your day while Shannon and her team run the show is invaluable.

I highly recommend Wedding Planning Plus for wedding coordination. We worked with Erin Rossi and had an amazing experience. We hired Erin for wedding coordination starting a month out from the wedding. My only regret is not hiring her to help more! Erin helped us think of details we hadn't thought of yet, coordinated with all of our vendors to create an extremely detailed minute-by-minute itinerary, and helped my mom, fiance, and I think of what we needed to get organized on our end. Erin is very resourceful, creative, and has an infectious positive attitude. She has been doing this for years and knows many area vendors. Shannon was nothing short of amazing! Our day went off without a hitch due to her excellent organizational skills and calm demeanor. I had debated hiring a wedding coordinator, and now I can't imagine how I could have done it without her. I was an editor at a wedding magazine for a few years, but nothing fully prepares you for the amount of planning that goes in. From our first phone call to discuss my Saratoga Springs wedding for 120 guests that we were putting together in just six months, I knew we were in great hands. We were the first wedding being held at our venue, and were planning on an outdoor ceremony, tented dinner reception, followed by dancing with a band in the barn. It was a exactly what I was hoping for, but I knew it meant a ton of moving parts and set-up to be done in a short time. Shannon laid out a detailed itinerary in her online planning program that we could easily access, and it had literally every part of the day listed with a time and details. She contacted all of our vendors and made sure they were up to speed and prepared. There was a threat of rain the week before (which I was a wreck over), and she logically talked us through our options, ensuring that we had a solid plan for the rehearsal dinner and ceremony. The day-of, she kept us right on schedule and managed every detail, right down to bringing the gifts into the house and making sure I had my espadrilles to change into. Our families and wedding party kept commenting how awesome she was, and how the day went so perfectly. My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment of our wedding, and were able to be present to take it all in. We cannot thank Shannon enough for this!!
If I could give Shannon 10 stars I would! Everyone kept telling me that I was the calmest bride they had ever seen. Well I give alot of credit to Shannon. She took care of every single detail from the timeline to meeting the vendors to putting my flip flops under my table. She is very calm and fun and very attentive to our needs. Right before I was getting ready to walk out of my room to the ceremony my veil fell off, I screamed "omg my veil" She came walking through the door and said "I heard you, i'll fix it" I could go on and on and on. We hired Erin as a Day of Coordinator. We were unsure if we wanted to hire someone to do this early on because it seemed simple, get people from the church to reception and that's it, right? Wrong. There were so many little details that Erin meticulously planned out and coordinated that made our wedding day run flawlessly. She had a HUGE itinerary of the whole day that really went step-by-step. Having that (even if my bridesmaids mocked me) made me feel a lot more comfortable and made it a lot easier to ensure people were in the right place at the right time.
Erin's work with us started about a month before the wedding officially but she was very accessible from the beginning. When we had questions about possible vendors to hire, she was great in providing some insight and helping us out. She also had a very positive attitude and made you feel confident about your decisions.
On the wedding day, she was extremely comforting. It was great to have one point person who knew what was going on and how to deal with situations (like getting me a change of shoes). More than once on my wedding day I found myself saying, "just go ask Erin." She stayed the entire night and even helped us clean up afterwards (she even made sure our card box got securely back to our room). Honestly, I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you are not sure if you need a DOC, you do. Pick Wedding Planning Plus. I'm sure that they are all fantastic there!
Erin! Erin! Erin! It was and always will be about Erin! We can't praise her enough. She brought the charm, warmth, and amazing energy we needed on the day of our wedding to handle every little detail. We loved her because she fit in so well with all of our guests and had the perfect "go with the flow" but also "on it" attitude. We couldn't have done it without her and her team!
Aissa was a dream to work with! Aissa kept us on track with coordinating the month leading up to the wedding. She helped calm our nerves by laying out a helpful game plan and responding to our ad hoc questions promptly and patiently. Getting ready for the wedding Aissa was like Mary Poppins providing solutions to everyone's last min request (bride needed last min floss and deo!). All of our vendors commented on how amazing Aissa was too. For example, Aissa thought ahead to request a large table for the bridal suite to allow our hair and make-up artists a space to set up. Aissa was helpful and sweet beyond belief!
I had met Tomasina (Tommie) while handling other aspects of my wedding and she mentioned she had worked for Wedding Planning Plus if I was interested in day of coordination. I honestly didn't know if I needed it and thought maybe that was one of the expenses I could cut out. NO!!! This is a must if you're planning a pretty large, traditional wedding. I had sat on the card for a couple weeks and then had a bad dream one night everything at my wedding went wrong and I immediatley called Shannon to discuss. What value! Shannon and Tommie were so nice and Tommie was just out of this world. She handled so many things for me: dealing with vendors, coordinating my whole time line with everybody, brought the lunch to the hotel for us while getting ready, brought things I needed to and from the ceremony and reception sites, dropped all our gifts and things to our hotel room at the end of the night... I can go on. And she thought of so many things that I didn't think of like reserving the gazebo where I wanted to take photos and do first look. I really don't know how we would have done it all without her. It was amazing having her be a part of our day and made it all run so smooth even when there was little hiccups like missing bouquets and missing wedding cake lol. (Not her fault at all, but got it handled)
Let me start off by saying that if it wasn't for Erin Rossi at Wedding Planning Plus, our wedding would not have been what it was, which was INCREDIBLE (and even that is an understatement). In the limo on the way to the church, my bridesmaids and mothers asked me how I remained so calm during the planning process, day-of, and minutes away from entering the church for the ceremony and all I could muddle out was "Erin." Having her meant that I had no worries. No worries about signing my name to an abundance of contracts, landing our priority vendors, time and planning management, or even eating before walking down the aisle. My now husband, our parents, wedding party, all guests, and I were able to enjoy every moment of the day without being tugged in multiple directions to coordinate, set up, or tackle any loose ends, such as ordering last minute fresh flower petals for our flower girl, bringing a sewing kit to fix a broken bridesmaid headband, and even finding a wheelchair for my grandma who twisted her ankle just before walking down the aisle. She also can now add "mannequin challenge videographer" to her resume!
Erin is a wedding planning guru and I have been told countless times since the wedding day how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended. Erin deserves most of that recognition and credit! Hands down, best decision! Love her!!! Xox
We were lucky enough to work with Kate for Day-of Coordinating services. To say there were a lot of moving parts to our wedding is an understatement. Our venue was a blank slate and we brought in essentially every component; from chairs, linens, plates and flatware to the stove and grill for the caterer. To complicate things further, our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all at different locations. We had separate vendors for flowers, lighting, transportation, rentals, and catering but also had many personal items we brought in to customize the spaces. Lastly, my fiance and I were planning our upstate NY wedding from Washington, DC. I was a little worried we were going to scare Kate off during our first call, but she took it all in stride and continued to throughout the process. Like many couples, we assumed we had thought of everything. "Kate will take care of it," became a constant refrain (and somewhat of a running joke) whenever we thought of something new. Her list grew longer and longer but she graciously and professionally handled each and every item. On more than one occasion, I would shoot her a frantic text about the most minute detail and knew I didn't have to think of it again. She was organized, diligent, and thorough.
It was important for us to work with someone who could take our months of planning and execute our vision in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. After over a year of exchanging hundreds of emails with vendors and creating too many checklists to count, we wanted someone else to be the point person so we could really enjoy our wedding without distractions. Thanks to Kate, we were able to do just that. She worked extremely hard to ensure we had a stress-free and amazing day. We always felt like her number one priority and thoroughly enjoyed our time working with her. Choosing Kate and WPP to help us with our coordinating needs was one of the best decisions we made and we wouldn't hesitate recommending them.
I booked Shannon as our wedding planner before we were "officially" engaged (gasp) - I had a phone call with her and instantly knew I wanted to work with her. Although email responses weren't always timely (I also work in client service), I can truthfully say I would not have worked with half of my wonderful vendors if it weren't for Shannon. From being in the wedding industry for so long, she has an endless supply of vendor contacts within every budget. She also took care of reviewing every contract before each vendor was booked.
I pride myself on saying I only had two truly bridezilla moments - once was when my original make up artist fell through and once the week before the wedding regarding a flower disaster. Shannon provided more alternative make up vendors than I could have imagined, especially keeping in mind my preferred style and budget. And then the flower disaster...Shannon was ON VACATION and when I emailed her frantically panicking a week before the wedding, she solved my problem within 24 hours. I also had the extreme pleasure of working with Kate, a junior wedding planner, as my day of coordinator. I CANNOT imagine my wedding day without her there. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. I'm, by nature, an extremely detail oriented person and Kate answered what felt like an exhaustive list of my questions right up until the wedding day. She took care of coordinating all vendor arrivals and set up down to the minute, really anything and everything on our wedding day. Even if you don't go with a wedding planner, I 150% recommend investing in a day of coordinator, especially with WPP!!

Shannon of WPP was wonderful to work with!! My husband and I were engaged for 2 years before our wedding which was held out of state. We both have schedules that did not allow us to do a lot of visiting the area and looking around at different vendors. Shannon got to know us and narrowed down the options for us then showed us only those she knew would like the most. We are able to do almost all the decision making by email but she was also very flexible and arranged to meet us when we could be in town. Any question or concern we had we just sent and email and got everything figured out. Our wedding was amazing, our guests had a great time and everything went so smoothly. My husband and I got engaged and then went on a 4-month trip through Asia. We had to do a lot of the wedding planning while we were overseas. We hired WPP to help us get the rentals we needed and to do our day-of coordination. Shannon worked with us by Skype to help get us our rentals and answer all our questions. Our wedding wasn't an easy one but WPP really helped get us what we wanted. Erin was our day-of-coordinator and we couldn't have asked for anything more. She was above and beyond our expectations. She gave us a timeline, helped us plan what aspects of a traditional wedding we wanted to keep and which ones we wanted to go without. On the day of the wedding she was organized, timely, professional. She really handled things beautifully. We had a lot of elements that could have been difficult and she took care of them without us even having to be aware of it. She dealt with all our vendors and even helped us decide how much to tip everyone. She is a wedding rockstar! Thank you Erin & Shannon for a great wedding :-)
Shannon was very helpful the day of our wedding. If anything went wrong, we had no idea because it was handled calmly and efficiently. We anticipated our coordinator to be a little "on edge" or intense the day of our wedding. Shannon was flexible and easy-going, but incredibly helpful as well - we didn't have to worry about a thing. You won't go wrong with her or her team!
We just got married June 2016 in the Hudson Valley. I write this review from the prospective of two NYC television producers (my husband and I,) who spend our lives producing.
Firstly, I have to say rule #1 Do not skimp on a wedding coordinator, you absolutely need on so you can actually enjoy your day. Build it into the budget, no exceptions. If you can afford a full planner, even better.
Now to the oozing of my appreciation of Wedding Planning plus and my coordinator Tommie and her assistant Kate:
My initial call with Shannon was prompt, efficient, friendly and comprehensive...no run around. She asked my needs and immediately gave me rates. No one was trying to squeeze our (tight) budget etc. She was fantastic.
Now for Tommie, our Day-of coordinator; ABOVE AND BEYOND. Professional, punctual, really "got" our very eclectic, out of the box wedding. We explained to her our specific needs, which were much different than most weddings and she took on the project like a champ, truly embracing it.
-Though unconventional, our wedding had a lot of moving parts and very uncommon/rustic locations.
- Oversaw the setup of our highly styled wedding decor, making sure all was beautiful and personally took care of all of the decor we owned ( which was a lot) at the end of the night.
-Tommie stayed LATE, making sure all she promised was in order.
-Dealt with our drunken friend who was DJ'ing after the live band left (#ourpoorchoice)
-All of this and much more, because she fixed things that I am sure we didn't even know about.
-Oh did I mention her positive "I can do anything" attitude?
I can not say enough about this company and about Tommie. We looked into coordinators from NYC that were triple the cost ...that didn't have a handle on the Hudson Valley or the open mind to do the very out of the box wedding we had.
We were married this past summer in upstate New York on our university campus (where we met!). The reception was held basically in the middle of field, and Shannon planned and coordinated everything -- rentals (literally everything....chairs, tables, every fork and spoon, lighting, bathrooms, etc.), to table placements, and really the whole plan for the day. There were so many moving pieces to make the outdoor venue work, but Shannon was not phased by anything, and was so patient with us. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and could not have been anymore beautiful or seamless, and we owe a huge thank you to Shannon for that!!!
