Shannon was fantastic. We definitely didn't make it TOO easy, since we wanted to plan a destination wedding with 100+ guests in Lake Placid with only two months, from start to finish. Another planner we contacted didn't think it could be done--...
she didn't even think she could find us a venue--but Shannon had a list of options for us in a matter of days, and the place we ended up (Whiteface Lodge) was absolutely perfect. Shannon managed our budget, our timeline, and everything. She even received packages for us, so we wouldn't have to ship things from our home in Atlanta up to the Adirondacks. Thanks to Shannon, we always knew where we were in the wedding process, and what was left to be completed. She thought of things we wouldn't have, and kept us calm and cool on the wedding weekend. She has a great personality that is easy to get along with, and she was very laid back at the actual event. She made everything SO easy, in fact, that we were able to camp completely off the grid for the last two weeks before the wedding.

ur most important vendors, like our caterer, entertainment, and rentals, and she was also a big help when it came time for us to figure out how to articulate our vision for the day. While her help leading up to the day was great, it was really the wedding coordinating services that allowed us to sit back and enjoy our wedding day. Shannon and her team took care of absolutely everything, and we can honestly say, our wedding day was probably one of the most stress-free days of our lives! leading up to our wedding day and made decisions and planning that seemed so complicated and stressful an absolute breeze. Honestly, in our first preliminary meeting with her when she explained all her services, she listed things we hadn't even thought of doing and we knew right then that we needed to book them and book them fast! On the day of the wedding, our whole WPP team made our space an absolute vision! It was everything we ever imagined and more! Shannon was with me every step of the way including printing out itineraries for all of our families and members of our wedding party, keeping me calm and assuring me at all moments that we were on schedule, and even putting my veil in right before the ceremony. She really heard everything we said about timing and made sure we maximized dancing (which was very important to us). She is an absolute delight to work with and honestly, she felt more like an old friend than a wedding coordinator. I can’t even imagine all of the things they did behind the scenes to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. If you’re looking for a planner or coordinator, look no further!

Leah the day of. Our weekly calls with Leah always left us feeling confident and calm. She was so kind, hardworking, and organized as we worked on the detailed timeline together. She also offered wonderful advice and ideas! On the day of our wedding, we felt so assured knowing that Leah and Eliza were working hard in the background to make sure that all of those meaningful details came together in the way we wanted and that our vendors had all of the information they needed. They made sure everything was returned safely to our hotel room at the end of the night as we headed out to our after party and they handed out our vendor tips as well. through the planning and logistics and Shannon thought of all of the details and helped us make decisions by offering thoughtful advice. On the day, Shannon and her team ensured everyone knew what they were doing and where to be. Our venue required us to hire everything from a caterer and florist to rentals, shuttles, golf carts, and a band and having someone to coordinate with all of the vendors and create a timetable was a lifesaver. We moved 150 people to three different sites on the venue throughout the day but everything worked like clockwork. Highly recommend Shannon and the Wedding Planning Plus team.

Shannon helped us create our dream wedding. We live in Dallas, TX and decided we would like a destination wedding in the Finger Lakes, NY region. Given the number of Finger Lakes and the multitude of wedding venues, we needed Shannon's help. She gave us numerous suggestions on venues and after a site visit of top choices, we made our selection. We also knew that we needed Wedding Planning Plus to help us identify other quality vendors in the area for floral, DJ Services and photography. Again, top marks for Wedding Planning Plus recommendations! Wedding Planning Plus also supported us on our actual wedding day. Shannon was available and on-site and worked with the local venue team to ensure every detail was in place and our every need met so that we could focus on enjoying our event, our families and friends and each other. It was wonderful and gave us peace of mind knowing that venue teams are working double time/over time due to short staffing. It was great to have this added support -- not just for us but for our wedding venue team as well. ain point of contact with WPP was Kate LaFerriere. I want to tell a quick story about our day because it's important to understand in order for us to accurately review Kate as our wedding planner. Our ceremony was set to begin at 4pm with massive thunderstorms expected in the area right around the ceremony start time. A decision needed to be made of whether we could do the ceremony in the outdoor gardens of our venue or inside the barn where the reception would also take place. Kate, as a planner, I'm sure really wanted a decision as soon as possible in order to set up everything for our guests but she was never pushing us to a decision we did not want to make. She truly listened, consulted and offered up her suggestions while keeping a calm demeanor. We all agreed if we could move the ceremony up just 15 minutes, we might be able to make it work to have the ceremony outside. Even with the new schedule, all of our guests arrived just in time as the storm clouds really began to roll in. Vows were exchanged, a kiss to seal the deal and all of our guests rushed into the barn. I'm happy to report, not a single guest felt the wrath of the rain that began to come down no less than 10 seconds after the last guest stumbled into the safe dry barn. My wife and I walked to the back of the barn to grab a drink and begin the tour of greeting all our guests. One of the first things I noticed was all of our smiling guests relieved they'd made it to the barn safe and dry and in that moment, I saw walk through the barn doors - soaking wet from the rain, it was our wedding planner Kate LaFerriere. She was completely drenched in a room full of dry, happy people. Kate possesses all the best qualities for the perfect wedding planner. She has the finest attention to the little details that make a big difference. She always has a calm demeanor - with all the details and timelines she had to manage anyone could easily be flustered under the circumstances. But any interaction with the bride or groom on the day of was done graciously with a soft calm voice, and everything was communicated very clearly to both of us. But I think the greatest quality Kate possessed was selflessness. I go back to the moment of seeing Kate drenched in a room full of dry people. It was a reminder to me, the sacrifices another person was willing to make for delivering us the most perfect day. From listening to us in our pre-wedding planning meetings, all the way through the execution of all that planning, Kate was flawless throughout and the day turned out even better than what we could have imagined. In getting to know Kate we also know she will have her own wedding to look forward to in the near future. The greatest compliment we can pass along is the hope that on your special day, you have a planner as dedicated, selfless and amazing as you were on our day - to deliver you and your guests a memorable day. Kate, we thank you so much for everything you did and wanted to let you know that you deserve to have your own "best day ever" - because that's exactly what you gave us! sure we were in the loop. I am so grateful we ended up hiring them because we had to bring all of our vendors into our venue and to communicate constantly with so many people was stressful. Alex took that stress right off our shoulders and did an awesome job to make sure everyone was on the same page. I can't recommend them enough! If you need a planner, they are reasonably priced and honestly worth everything to make your big day a dream come true. I couldn't imagine having all that extra stress on my big day!

ase. Shannon has an incredible ability to connect with her brides and grooms – she just gets it! I was so impressed by how well she understood us, helped us craft our vision, and turned that into a reality. A few highlights from our experience: 1) Shannon will take the time to talk to you through the options of any scenario calmly, patiently and informatively. Being a COVID bride, we hit some rough patches which included us needing to change our reception venue less than two months before the wedding. Shannon helped us weigh the pros and cons at length until we were comfortable with our decision. She took the lead on researching other venues quickly and made all necessary adjustments with our vendors. 2) Speaking of vendors - Shannon has a vast circle of killer vendor recommendations. People are still talking about our vendors and many have mentioned they were some of the best they had ever experienced at a wedding. And when working with each vendor you can tell how much they respect and are excited to work with Shannon again. If you don’t believe me, take it from the multiple vendors that told us Shannon is the best wedding planner they have ever worked with! 3) The wedding weekend was absolutely flawless. I felt so confident knowing Shannon and Alex were there thinking through every detail. I was really able to sit back, relax, and just enjoy the day. And that’s a lot coming from my husband and I – we are both very detail oriented and are perfectionist with party planning, so this is very hard for us to do at times! Do yourself a favor and hire Wedding Planning Plus! You will not be disappointed and your wedding experience (and that of your guests) will be better because of it!!

Then, when our original venue closed in December 2020 and we needed to pivot again, Shannon rescued us from our panic, contacting dozens of venues overnight and helping us secure a new venue and caterer for our same date within a matter of weeks in the middle of the holidays. As we hit the month of our now September 2021 wedding and dealt with the uncertainties created by the delta variant and its impact on the endless evolution of our guest list, Alex was always there with answers to our questions and to help us update all necessary plans and quickly communicate these updates to vendors accordingly. On the day of our wedding, Alex and WPP kept all of the coordinating of multiple levels of complicated logistics totally off our plate. And they dealt with very unexpected, potentially chaos-inducing fires - collapsing chuppahs, an emergency that prevented our original Rabbi from being able to make it on an hour's notice - without us feeling so much as a bump. We are so thankful for all their help!

On the wedding day, Kate and Erin took care of all the behind the scenes details so that me and my family could relax and enjoy the day. Both ladies made sure all of the items were in place at the church and assisted with the flow of the ceremony. They did an amazing job of setting up our reception venue with all of our personal touches. Kate was definitely the glue that held the wedding weekend together. She was the go-to person for the vendors and our large wedding party (20 people!). Kate was such a calming presence and she alleviated any of my concerns. She also checked in with me throughout the night to make sure I was eating enough and had a beer! At the end of the night, Kate brought our decorations, gifts, family photographs, and bouquets back to our hotel room. She even saved a dessert tray for me and my husband- she knows the way to my heart! Kate had taken pictures on my phone throughout the night and it was such a nice surprise to see the pictures the next day when I wanted to relive our wedding day. The ladies at Wedding Planning Plus made wedding planning organized and stress-free. Thanks to Kate and Erin, I was able to be fully present with my husband and our loved ones. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work, attention to detail, and for going above and beyond for me on my wedding day. Though we quickly realized the best approach was to just let them handle it! On the day of our wedding, Alex and Shannon had everything planned perfectly such that we had no worries about where we were supposed to be or what we were supposed to be doing! We and our families were just able to completely enjoy the day knowing that they were taking care of everything! They were even able to coordinate with my parents for some surprises and find an amazing last minute replacement vendor. Like I said, above and beyond!! As vaccinations became available and restrictions were slowly eased, we were able to plan our wedding - in 4 months. We hired Shannon to help us make our date special. Her dedication and expertise, helped us navigate all the challenges. She was so organized and was on top of all the every changing rules and restrictions. matched (worth her weight IN GOLD - Grateful Dead Cover band - check; Brunch from Elf and the Oak, check; perfectly curated florist matching our style perfectly - check), the logistics sorted out (we live in Boston), and therapy sessions at the ready, we were about to send out our invitations but then decided to be better safe than sorry. Even though we had to change our wedding to an "anniversary" celebration in 2021, Shannon was at the ready, reading contracts, communicating and re-arranging vendors, and making sure that every i was dotted and t was crossed for 2021 for the "anniversary" party. Did I mention she then CONTINUED to plan our micro-wedding in June 2020? While our wedding style changed, Shannon's regular check-ins, original vendors, and practical guides made our 12 person wedding perhaps even more SPECIAL! From our first call to our wedding day, Shannon was incredible to work with.  She did a remarkable job of breaking down each step in our planning process into manageable components. Shannon kept us right on track leading up to our wedding and made excellent vendor recommendations along the way. Not only was every call with her fun, but my fiance and I always felt like she understood us and that she had everything under control. On our wedding day Shannon kept the day moving smoothly and was such a calming presence.  My fiance and I were really able to take a step back and be present with our family and friends. We had a very particular vision in mind for the day and when Shannon brought us into the tent before our guests arrived, it took our breath away. She absolutely nailed every aspect of our wedding.  Our wedding was incredibly beautiful and when I see pictures of the day, I am in awe of what we were able to accomplish.  Shannon is extremely hard working, from making changes to our rental tables the day before our wedding to pinning up my dress because I danced so hard it broke, she took care of everything.  To make a long story short, hire her. ting, Shannon was very attuned to understanding the vision our daughter and her fiance had for their wedding, as well as our goals as parents and hosts for the weekend wedding celebration. She had very strong insights into a broad range of vendors (geographically), and we feel we had the "A Team" of partners (vendors) as a result of Shannon's network (wedding at Lake George, NY, band from Manhattan, caterers from Albany, etc.). While Shannon had not previously organized a wedding at our chosen venue, she quickly immersed herself to become familiar and very comfortable with the location and the local team -- and added significant value in expanding the vision to create the absolutely perfect setting. The wedding weekend was comprehensive and complex -- 165 guests from all over the world; welcome reception/dinner on Friday night, wedding preparation and festivities on Saturday, farewell brunch on Sunday -- all at different venues with different staffs and caterers; shuttle buses from hotels to venues; etc. Shannon was instrumental in planning virtually the entire wedding weekend, was respectful of our budget, and consistently provided insights and ideas that really made the event even more special -- several times for minimal or even lower cost than what we had budgeted. There is no way that we would have successfully pulled off this type of celebration without Shannon's attention to every detail. Shannon and her team were particularly helpful on wedding day. She did a fantastic job anticipating every need, created a very thorough and accurate timeline for what was going to happen when (no surprises), and was available at all times to address any concerns or questions -- no matter how trivial. Shannon was a calming influence throughout the planning process, and skillfully navigated the preparations and discussions with both our daughter and her fiance, as well as with us as parents. We feel strongly that her involvement was a blessing to us throughout the planning process, and helped this period to be a wonderful time for us as a family -- and a time that we will always look back on and cherish. The whole wedding experience was just terrific -- and we attribute much of this to Shannon and her team. We recommend her without any concerns or reservations! It was a "storybook" celebration -- in large part due to Destination Upstate/Wedding Planning Plus.

Shannon is super responsive, and if she’ll be out of pocket for a wedding on a given weekend she always gives you PLENTY of advance warning so you can get any time-sensitive questions in first. They think of EVERYTHING and will make you feel so confident at every turn. What stands out in particular is how much Shannon helped with the collection and relocation of our gifts and speciality items at the end of the wedding, which I admit I had not thought about myself. In the weeks and months after the wedding, every time we reminisced on the weekend with our families, our parents ALWAYS mentioned how impressed they were with Wedding Planning Plus. They all felt like they were treated as specially as the bride and groom, with their every need seen to before they even had to ask! On a day that often feels as big and important for the parents as for the couple, that meant a lot to both us and our parents. Shannon has been doing this for years, and it shows! Her professionalism blew us away and she quickly became an important resource and sounding board for us throughout the planning process. I could not recommend her more highly!!

We had our wedding at our family property in Greenfield Center, but we live in LA, and Shannon was wonderful working with us to plan our wedding from across the country. We were also a bit late to the planning process, and had some speed bumps along the way, but Shannon always told us exactly what we needed to do, what it would cost, and gave us lots of options to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She has such great relationships with the best vendors in the area, and all of them love to work with her, so you can be sure that you are getting the absolute best if you hire her! She is incredibly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented, and I never ever had to worry that something would fall through the cracks. Since we had our wedding at our family property, the entire ceremony and reception space basically had to be built from-scratch, but Shannon knew exactly what to do and made it absolute perfection. From the ceremony rehearsal to the end of Sunday brunch, everything went off without a hitch, and my wedding was the absolute best day ever thanks to Wedding Planning Plus! the planning process so easy. I loved all the vendors she recommended and didn't have to do nearly as much work doing research, trials, etc. to get awesome vendors. She's super nice, organized, and great to work with. She'll take the time to listen to what kind of wedding you want and suggest vendors accordingly vs. having a cookie cutter plan she uses for everyone. The really valuable part, however, came in her day-of coordinating. She had all the vendors on the same page, and she and her assistants handled absolutely everything you can think of (and a bunch of things you won't think of) on the wedding day. I didn't have to answer a single question from vendors, grab anyone to be in a picture, tell anyone from the wedding party where to be when, pick up cards/gifts/welcome sign the next day, etc. She did it all. I think the best part of hiring WPP is the peace of mind it provides. Something unexpected will inevitably happen on your wedding day, but chances are Shannon has handled it before. For me, one of my bridesmaids' dress split open right before we walked down the aisle. Shannon pinned it up without missing a beat and no one even noticed. Without her, one of my best friends would've had to stand in the back of the church and not be a part of my wedding ceremony. Instead she stood up there with me looking beautiful and now, we have a hilarious story. I know a wedding planner may not sound necessary, but letting yourself enjoy your day while Shannon and her team run the show is invaluable.

an editor at a wedding magazine for a few years, but nothing fully prepares you for the amount of planning that goes in. From our first phone call to discuss my Saratoga Springs wedding for 120 guests that we were putting together in just six months, I knew we were in great hands. We were the first wedding being held at our venue, and were planning on an outdoor ceremony, tented dinner reception, followed by dancing with a band in the barn. It was a exactly what I was hoping for, but I knew it meant a ton of moving parts and set-up to be done in a short time. Shannon laid out a detailed itinerary in her online planning program that we could easily access, and it had literally every part of the day listed with a time and details. She contacted all of our vendors and made sure they were up to speed and prepared. There was a threat of rain the week before (which I was a wreck over), and she logically talked us through our options, ensuring that we had a solid plan for the rehearsal dinner and ceremony. The day-of, she kept us right on schedule and managed every detail, right down to bringing the gifts into the house and making sure I had my espadrilles to change into. Our families and wedding party kept commenting how awesome she was, and how the day went so perfectly. My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment of our wedding, and were able to be present to take it all in. We cannot thank Shannon enough for this!!

, get people from the church to reception and that's it, right? Wrong. There were so many little details that Erin meticulously planned out and coordinated that made our wedding day run flawlessly. She had a HUGE itinerary of the whole day that really went step-by-step. Having that (even if my bridesmaids mocked me) made me feel a lot more comfortable and made it a lot easier to ensure people were in the right place at the right time. Erin's work with us started about a month before the wedding officially but she was very accessible from the beginning. When we had questions about possible vendors to hire, she was great in providing some insight and helping us out. She also had a very positive attitude and made you feel confident about your decisions. On the wedding day, she was extremely comforting. It was great to have one point person who knew what was going on and how to deal with situations (like getting me a change of shoes). More than once on my wedding day I found myself saying, "just go ask Erin." She stayed the entire night and even helped us clean up afterwards (she even made sure our card box got securely back to our room). Honestly, I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you are not sure if you need a DOC, you do. Pick Wedding Planning Plus. I'm sure that they are all fantastic there!

f the expenses I could cut out. NO!!! This is a must if you're planning a pretty large, traditional wedding. I had sat on the card for a couple weeks and then had a bad dream one night everything at my wedding went wrong and I immediatley called Shannon to discuss. What value! Shannon and Tommie were so nice and Tommie was just out of this world. She handled so many things for me: dealing with vendors, coordinating my whole time line with everybody, brought the lunch to the hotel for us while getting ready, brought things I needed to and from the ceremony and reception sites, dropped all our gifts and things to our hotel room at the end of the night... I can go on. And she thought of so many things that I didn't think of like reserving the gazebo where I wanted to take photos and do first look. I really don't know how we would have done it all without her. nd mothers asked me how I remained so calm during the planning process, day-of, and minutes away from entering the church for the ceremony and all I could muddle out was "Erin." Having her meant that I had no worries. No worries about signing my name to an abundance of contracts, landing our priority vendors, time and planning management, or even eating before walking down the aisle. My now husband, our parents, wedding party, all guests, and I were able to enjoy every moment of the day without being tugged in multiple directions to coordinate, set up, or tackle any loose ends, such as ordering last minute fresh flower petals for our flower girl, bringing a sewing kit to fix a broken bridesmaid headband, and even finding a wheelchair for my grandma who twisted her ankle just before walking down the aisle. She also can now add "mannequin challenge videographer" to her resume! Erin is a wedding planning guru and I have been told countless times since the wedding day how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended. ns, plates and flatware to the stove and grill for the caterer. To complicate things further, our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all at different locations. We had separate vendors for flowers, lighting, transportation, rentals, and catering but also had many personal items we brought in to customize the spaces. Lastly, my fiance and I were planning our upstate NY wedding from Washington, DC. I was a little worried we were going to scare Kate off during our first call, but she took it all in stride and continued to throughout the process. Like many couples, we assumed we had thought of everything. "Kate will take care of it," became a constant refrain (and somewhat of a running joke) whenever we thought of something new. Her list grew longer and longer but she graciously and professionally handled each and every item. On more than one occasion, I would shoot her a frantic text about the most minute detail and knew I didn't have to think of it again. She was organized, diligent, and thorough. It was important for us to work with someone who could take our months of planning and execute our vision in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. After over a year of exchanging hundreds of emails with vendors and creating too many checklists to count, we wanted someone else to be the point person so we could really enjoy our wedding without distractions. Thanks to Kate, we were able to do just that. She worked extremely hard to ensure we had a stress-free and amazing day. We always felt like her number one priority and thoroughly enjoyed our time working with her. Choosing Kate and WPP to help us with our coordinating needs was one of the best decisions we made and we wouldn't hesitate recommending them.

truthfully say I would not have worked with half of my wonderful vendors if it weren't for Shannon. From being in the wedding industry for so long, she has an endless supply of vendor contacts within every budget. She also took care of reviewing every contract before each vendor was booked. I pride myself on saying I only had two truly bridezilla moments - once was when my original make up artist fell through and once the week before the wedding regarding a flower disaster. Shannon provided more alternative make up vendors than I could have imagined, especially keeping in mind my preferred style and budget. And then the flower disaster...Shannon was ON VACATION and when I emailed her frantically panicking a week before the wedding, she solved my problem within 24 hours. If you want a wedding planner who will be there when things get hairy, Wedding Planning Plus is your answer. I also had the extreme pleasure of working with Kate, a junior wedding planner, as my day of coordinator. I CANNOT imagine my wedding day without her there. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. I'm, by nature, an extremely detail oriented person and Kate answered what felt like an exhaustive list of my questions right up until the wedding day. She took care of coordinating all vendor arrivals and set up down to the minute, really anything and everything on our wedding day. Even if you don't go with a wedding planner, I 150% recommend investing in a day of coordinator, especially with WPP!! th us by Skype to help get us our rentals and answer all our questions. Our wedding wasn't an easy one but WPP really helped get us what we wanted. Erin was our day-of-coordinator and we couldn't have asked for anything more. She was above and beyond our expectations. I actually don't know how people can have a wedding without a wedding coordinator! She gave us a timeline, helped us plan what aspects of a traditional wedding we wanted to keep and which ones we wanted to go without. On the day of the wedding she was organized, timely, professional. She really handled things beautifully. We had a lot of elements that could have been difficult and she took care of them without us even having to be aware of it. She dealt with all our vendors and even helped us decide how much to tip everyone. She is a wedding rockstar! Thank you Erin & Shannon for a great wedding :-)

tor, you absolutely need on so you can actually enjoy your day. Build it into the budget, no exceptions. If you can afford a full planner, even better. Now to the oozing of my appreciation of Wedding Planning plus and my coordinator Tommie and her assistant Kate: My initial call with Shannon was prompt, efficient, friendly and comprehensive...no run around. She asked my needs and immediately gave me rates. No one was trying to squeeze our (tight) budget etc. She was fantastic. Now for Tommie, our Day-of coordinator; ABOVE AND BEYOND. Professional, punctual, really "got" our very eclectic, out of the box wedding. We explained to her our specific needs, which were much different than most weddings and she took on the project like a champ, truly embracing it. -Though unconventional, our wedding had a lot of moving parts and very uncommon/rustic locations. - Oversaw the setup of our highly styled wedding decor, making sure all was beautiful and personally took care of all of the decor we owned ( which was a lot) at the end of the night. -Tommie stayed LATE, making sure all she promised was in order. -Dealt with our drunken friend who was DJ'ing after the live band left (#ourpoorchoice) -All of this and much more, because she fixed things that I am sure we didn't even know about. -Oh did I mention her positive "I can do anything" attitude? I can not say enough about this company and about Tommie. We looked into coordinators from NYC that were triple the cost ...that didn't have a handle on the Hudson Valley or the open mind to do the very out of the box wedding we had.

There were so many moving pieces to make the outdoor venue work, but Shannon was not phased by anything, and was so patient with us. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and could not have been anymore beautiful or seamless, and we owe a huge thank you to Shannon for that!!!

all our crazy thoughts and ideas and really took the time to get to know us as a couple. We were so incredibly lucky to be paired up with Kate and Tommie as our day of coordinators. During our first itinerary meeting (6+ months before), my mind was truly put at ease when I saw how organized and prepared Kate and Tommie were. Both planners were so genuinely friendly and engaged; throughout the planning process, I felt like I was chatting about my wedding plans with good friends, not my day of coordinators. During the last month before the wedding, things really started to pick up, and both Kate and Tommie were there by our sides, ready to help in any way (and often helping us before we even knew we would need it!). Both Kate and Tommie even offered to meet us one additional time to help me get a few last minute details organized. Tommie was very resourceful and helped us to come up with solutions for a few tricky "day of" problems. Kate worked especially hard during the days leading up to the wedding to make sure the day of schedule was perfect. Kate even did some last minute vendor coordinating for me that really removed a lot of stress and anxiety. On our wedding day, both Kate and Tommie were invaluable. I felt so relieved to have them by my side: helping to finish up last minute decorations, organizing flowers, having last minute chats with vendors so I could just enjoy getting ready with my bridal party. They were so helpful with getting everyone lined up for the ceremony and with keeping family pictures moving along. Everything was going smoothly until the rain decided to show up to our al fresco dinner under the trees. Kate and Tommie whipped right into action and made all the plans necessary to get all our guests AND tables moved inside the barn between salads and entrees. I can't imagine the "behind the scenes" stress they might have been feeling, because they handled everything so professionally. I truly believe their smiles and positive attitudes spread to everyone else, because the next thing I saw was all of our 100 wedding guests laughing and carrying tables into a barn, trying to beat the rain. I was so touched at that moment, and I am so grateful that we had Kate and Tommie to navigate that little hiccup. That night, Kate took ALL our decorations (seriously! She packed up everything from our venue so that my husband and I could continue celebrating with our friends and family) and put them in our hotel for us. But Kate went one step above and beyond and decorated our room with all our flowers and tea lights. It was a beautiful surprise, and we felt so special! Ultimately, having Kate and Tommie meant that my husband and I got to fully enjoy our wedding day with all our friends and family. This was tremendously important for both of us, and the peace of mind and assistance they provided for us was truly invaluable. They were there for us every step of the way, and we will always be grateful! Thank you Shannon, Tommie, and Kate!!

I first met Shannon when she planned and coordinated a friend’s wedding in which I was a bridesmaid. I was blown away by her professionalism, calm demeanor, and how easy she was to get along with. At that wedding, I told my then-boyfriend - “If we get married in upstate New York, we are definitely calling Shannon!” When we got engaged a year later, Shannon was the first vendor we reached out to after we found our venue and date. We hired her to help us find vendors and for day of coordination and she delivered big time on both fronts. At one of our final planning meetings, my now-husband said “I don’t know how anyone does this without a planner!” Having a wedding planner helped us make sure we were organized to host the biggest party of our lives, but working with Shannon specifically was so reassuring and fun. We felt completely comfortable - and grateful! - turning everything over to Shannon and relying on her to make sure our big day ran smoothly.

endors months before the wedding to talk through the logistics of the day, it was clear that Aissa is extremely organized, experienced, and creative. While she was extremely helpful with the preparations leading up to the wedding, she was instrumental the day of the wedding. When an electrical issue came up, Aissa thought of and perfectly executed a creative solution. She met all deliveries and setup all rentals/props exactly how we had pictured. And before we could run out of ice and wine mid-reception, Aissa already bought more. We could not have pulled of our wedding without Aissa’s help, and we couldn’t recommend WPP more highly!

a significant amount of money and really streamlined a hectic planning process. While her help in the planning process was incredibly important, her contribution on the actual wedding day was even more valuable. She took on every task from herding groomsmen and maids, to re-arranging chairs and paying vendors. She was with us from the beginning our day until band played their last song and I can’t imagine how we would have pulled off our wedding without her help. She even met up with us at the bar to drop off our room key! This rating scale does not do justice to how helpful she was to us. She could have doubled her fee and still been worth every penny.

We had a tight timeline the day of and I didn't want to worry about being on time. Erin was crucial in making this happen. The day of timeline she created was so detailed and helped ease my worry. re to work with and so eager to help with anything. I am so honored to have had Erin at our wedding. She went above and beyond. Week’s prior to the wedding, Erin and I whittled away at a checklist to make sure she would not miss a detail. This list made me feel so good about how the wedding day was going to unfold. If anything was missing, Erin would make sure it got done. A few weeks before the wedding, Erin met with me at the venue. She wrote down every detail of what I wanted for the wedding, contacted my vendors, and took all my stress away. I did not have to worry about a thing with Erin by my side. Erin took full control with the vendors and setting up all the details at the wedding. Erin personally made sure I was taken care of at all times and managed to also make sure the wedding was running smoothly. She constantly checked in with me and made me feel secure the entire day. Erin did everything from setting up the venue and communicating with vendors, to shaking out my wet wedding dress from the rain, collecting all personal items from the wedding, and helping bridal party with any and all needs. Erin setup before the wedding and cleaned up at the end. She made sure all my belongings from the wedding returned safely to our hotel room. Not only was everything returned but also the room was set up with flowers, a heart shape on the bed, champagne, candles, our gifts and my veil hanging beautifully on the door. I was so impressed and still am. I highly recommend Wedding Planning Plus. They made the most important day of my life that much more special and perfect!

WPP for my big day, I went with a senior planner, since Shannon was a little more expensive and I wanted more than a junior planner. Unfortunately, things with that planner didn't work out and when we voiced our concerns with Shannon, she stepped right up and offered to work our wedding herself with no extra charge. She genuinely cared about putting my mind at ease and making us happy. She went above and beyond to remedy the problem and make the whole process easy and wonderful. She was on top of everything and always there for me when I had questions or needed advice. Even though she was just hired for the day, she took so much worry off of my plate even before the wedding. When the wedding day came, her and her intern Tommie were amazing. It poured all day and they were right on top of getting everything moved inside and set up like I would have liked it. They were there for me whenever I needed anything and just overall so awesome to be around. In the beginning my husband didn't think a day-of coordinator was worth it and after the amazing job Shannon did, we both know it was worth every penny!

everyone would be going exactly how I envisioned it and planned. Because of me starting to lose my mind, I hired Aissa as a "day of coordinator" and it was the best decision I made! I regret not hiring her sooner as a wedding planner because I would have enjoyed the planning process much more. She literally took care of everything from steaming the bridesmaids dresses, to contacting and working with vendors to create a timeline, to reapplying a fake eyelash when it fell out (she had glue, tweezers, and mascara on her!), to making sure Kyle and I spent as much time partying and enjoying our day as possible. I can't even list everything she took care of because it was so much, Little things such as making sure the cooler for the trolley was filled with ice and beverages for after the ceremony...every little detail counts and she was ON POINT! I e-mailed every day with questions and was probably annoying because I tend to be a bit neurotic, but she always responded and was very patient and kind. She took care of everything I could possibly think of!!!!!! There isn't one single complaint....she even met me at the church for rehearsal on the day of her birthday celebration to hand deliver the itinerary and made sure the guys and girls knew who to match up with. She is absolutely wonderful!

florist, caterers, etc. But, what really made an impression on us was the authentic interest that Shannon had in making our wedding day perfect for us. She provided options and ideas, but when she felt that a certain element would help produce the experience we were looking for, she took the time to walk us through her vision. For example, she suggested that we do a “first look” in order to be able to spend more time with our guests after the ceremony. Who knew? It was a fantastic idea! Melissa Jacobson was our day-of coordinator. But, she was so much than that. A month before the wedding, right as the pressure and stress started to build, Melissa stepped in and coordinated all of the last details with ease. Each week when we spoke on the phone, I came armed with an agenda. But, there was no need because Melissa was always two steps ahead of me. Our conversations were so efficient, that we would end up just laughing and chatting excitedly about the wedding day. Our wedding was in Lake Placid, NY in late October, and it was a dream come true. Yes, it rained. Yes, someone locked me out of my room. Yes, there was a completely over-the-top wedding guest. But, I had not a worry in the world. Melissa was there at every turn, taking care of all of the details, large and small. She was cool and collected the entire time. The wedding party and our moms raved about Melissa’s famous agenda and what a phenomenal job she did. And, I don’t want to ruin the surprise for other couples, but Melissa and her intern put an extra special touch on the day that we were so happy to come back to after the reception. Wedding Planning Plus met all of our expectations. Our wedding was perfect, and perfectly us.

Lindsay made us feel comfortable and was very eager to get to know us and learn about our wedding vision. She takes the time to get a true idea of what her couples envision for their day. She provides invaluable input into creating the timeline for the day of. Lindsay stayed in contact and was easily available to reach at all times throughout the entire planning process. Lindsay took over communicating with our vendors 2 months out from the big day. She sent timelines, questions, and gathered all the information we would need for a smooth wedding day. She organized and held a venue walk with us and our vendors about a month and a half out from our wedding. In the weeks and days leading up to the wedding, knowing that Lindsay had so much taken care of and would be there to help iron mishaps out, calmed my nerves more than I can express. Just knowing that Lindsay was going to be there with her calm attitude, skill set, and work ethic was comforting. And, she delivered. She worked incredibly hard at the rehearsal and on the day of to ensure that our vendors worked together well and followed the timeline. She took care of tiny mishaps with grace and professionalism. Plus, Lindsay is so fun and sweet to be around! We enjoyed getting to know her through the process and am lucky to now call her our friend. We received so many compliments from our vendors and wedding guests about how efficient, helpful, and wonderful she was. I highly recommend hiring Lindsay as your wedding coordinator. As the groom, we had decided on a country club venue before deciding to get a wedding planner and were in the process of signing a contract with them. Shannon advised my fiance at the time that there was a new venue opening up that she should look at. Personally, I did not want to keep looking but was I sure happy that she did. The new venue at 90 State was PHENOMENAL. Without Shannon's guidance we could have not had the amazing wedding that we did. If you are on the fence about getting a wedding planner or think it costs to much, I want to tell you that SHE WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. The entire wedding planning process was not as stressful and Shannon was there with us every step of the way. ed with us once a week to make sure everything was on track. She contacted all our vendors and made sure they were doing what they were supposed to do. Any time we came across something we weren't sure about, we asked Ginny to take care of it. And she did! I really feel like Ginny and her assistant Alli went above and beyond our expectations. They carried chairs from the ceremony site to the reception tent, they lit candles, corralled guests, and did about a million other things. Literally nothing went wrong on the day of the wedding and I'm sure it's mostly because of the excellent, professional care that Ginny and Alli took. I recommend them with great conviction. This company seems great and honestly it's super reasonably priced given how much they do for you. It was so wonderful to be able to relax on the wedding day and just celebrate with my family and friends, knowing Ginny was taking care of everything.

From holding my flowers, my dress, putting band-aids on my blisters, and just being there in case i needed anything. Aissa really went above and beyond to make sure you were happy with all your vendors and throughout the planning process!!! As an example, I was very unhappy with my hair and makeup trial 2 weeks before my wedding and Aissa met me at the salon and immediately starting researching to find me someone that could provide me with the look I was going for. She was able to find me a hair and makeup artist and met me at the salon for a trial. I LOVED my make-up and hair and was so happy that she was able to find me someone who gave me the look I had dreamed of for my wedding! Aissa also helped me find a bakery to bake me cookies as a favor the day before my wedding!! She even went to pick the cookies up for me and packaged them to have ready for my wedding day! Aissa is so thoughtful, caring, and really puts you first to ensure your day is just as you had planned. I can honestly say NOTHING went wrong on the day of my wedding and Aissa was the best investment I could have made for my special day!!! I went home that night and emailed Shannon, within a half hour she responded!! We set up an appointment for the next day and we hit it off from there. After the meeting that day, my husband said he didn't care how much it cost, as long as it helped me and took the stress away So we hired Shannon as our wedding planner & day of coordinator. Throughout the whole entire process she was AMAZING!!! I honestly could not have imagined planning our wedding without her. Our wedding day was a dream come true thanks to her! She did everything & anything you could imagine a wedding planner would do. From changing our wedding date, to countless number of emails and Friday meetings, to bustling my dress, to making sure every little detail was taken care of, Shannon did it all!! She was absolutely amazing!! We did not have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day, she was our lifesaver. If anyone asked me a question I looked at Shannon with this look... She took all the stress off of us, and we did not have to worry about anything!. Considering my husband is in the military, he was gone often (3 weeks before the wedding he was gone AHHH!), she made sure I was not overwhelmed & scheduled our meetings around his schedule so he could be there with me. I could go on and on about Shannon, but the point is she is such a wonderful person & wedding planner! When she was around she made me feel so calm!! t and not have to worry about the small details, this was one of the best pieces of advice we got in the process. We were referred to Wedding Planning Plus and after a few short introductions, the owner (Shannon) pointed us to Erin McKee. Simply put, Erin was amazing throughout the whole process. To be clear, we didn’t really need a “Wedding Planner” but instead someone to oversee the day of our wedding and handle all the potentially distracting details, big and small. For example, I didn’t want to be bothered signing for packages, tracking down vendors, or anything other than simply enjoying my wonderful day. Erin did all this and more. She interfaced with all our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and took care of anything that wasn’t completely hammered down the day of. She developed a rapport with vendors and guests to ensure everyone was where they needed to be. She helped coordinate our rehearsal and all the ushering involved. She had a hand in lots of minor setup factors, such as our tables and “sugar rush” station. At the end of the night, she packed everything up that needed to go to our room and hand-delivered it (along with a bottle of wine and a thoughtful card)! In fact, no request was ever too small or too large. On top of all of this, Erin is a super-sweet person and a genuine pleasure to work with. She met with us several times and kept a smile on, even when we got frustrated. She was only contracted to put in eight or nine hours to coordinate our wedding day, but I would estimate she put in closer to 30. I can assure anyone who goes with Erin, they will NOT regret it!

Always got back to me promptly, really listened to what I asked of her and seriously took into account my vision for the way the day unfolded. This was the best $$ I spent. The day of I just about mentally checked out completely, once a few last minute things were done. pull off a wedding when we didn’t think it was possible. I only wished we had hired her from the beginning! Shannon wore many hats in her role as our wedding planner and excelled in each of these diverse roles. Let me tell you about them: For instance, she became my go to person to calm my nerves, ease my stress, and be my confidant. In this role, Shannon was soothing, supportive, and always got a laugh out of me. She celebrated each small victory along the way with us and helped us see the light at the end of the tunnel. In addition, her ability to serve as a team leader was remarkable. She collaborated with and managed our families and all of our vendors (most of whom she had never worked with before) so that we all functioned as a unified team. I saw that Shannon was able to play hardball when necessary, remain quiet when needed, get decisions made when the time came, and held people accountable so they followed through on what was promised. We had some of our vendors go out of their way to tell us how much they loved working with Shannon – that says A LOT. Also, we needed to hire a couple vendors at the last minute and Shannon’s network (which all WPP planners benefit from) was so expansive that we were able to find people easily because they all loved working with her and were therefore happy to do so again – we were happy to benefit from Shannon’s connections. Also, in her role as a project manager, Shannon is one of the most organized and responsible people I have EVER met (and I’m pretty Type A myself!). There is not one thing that fell through the cracks. Shannon responds to emails in record speed and if she is ever going to be offline for a while she communicates this in advance (e.g., when she is attending your wedding, all of her attention is on you so she lets her other clients know this). I trusted Shannon completely to guide us through this process and it allowed us to relax completely during our wedding and be in the moment. By the end of four short months, it felt like Shannon was part of our family. I can only imagine how amazing it would have been if we had hired Shannon from the beginning. Therefore, I encourage you to hire her as soon as you can! I feel confident that any planner at WPP is as remarkable as Shannon since she trains them and manages them. If any couples have further questions about Shannon or WPP, I’d be happy to answer them. I owe my wedding to Shannon and can’t recommend her enough. PS. For those hesitant about hiring a wedding planner at all: we were people who never thought we’d spend money on this but investing in a wedding planner can allow you to save money elsewhere (e.g., we got upgrades from a vendor because they loved working with Shannon so much!) and it allows you to experience your wedding to it’s fullest which is what’s most important.

as our "day of coordinator" and I can't say enough great things about her, or about how truly grateful I am to have had her help. Not only did Melissa provide great vendor recommendations, but she was there for the most integral parts of planning and nailed down every detail to every minute of the day with each and every vendor. With little help from us Melissa was able to draft a wedding day itinerary, contact every vendor to coordinate their schedules for the day, and then on top of it she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time - and it definitely did! It took such an extraordinary amount of weight off of our shoulders not only on the wedding day, but on the weeks leading up to the wedding where all the small details start to finally come together. As a now "experienced" bride I can't explain how crazy those final days before the wedding can be - particularly when you are planning from out of town - and I don't know what I would have done without the help of WPP and Melissa. Take my advice....I never thought in the beginning that I would need the help of a wedding planner, but trust me, you NEED the help of a wedding planner! Melissa was excellent to work with. She was extremely kind, intelligent, organized, professional, and just overall great to have around! g the wedding planning process. I literally cannot imagine going through it without her, she was so instrumental at every turn. From recommending vendors that perfectly suited what we were looking for (and our budget) to just plain keeping us all calm and on schedule... she does it all with grace, kindness, professionalism and expertise. I would say that we were a bit of a non-traditional couple and were looking for something different than what we viewed as "cookie cutter." Between this and my own history of event planning, I didn't think we needed a wedding planner. Boy, was I wrong! And I'm so glad that my family (Shannon has already worked at 2 other family weddings) convinced me otherwise. Shannon doesn't view her couples or their weddings as cookie cutter in any possible way. What was perhaps most impressive about Shannon was her ability to listen to what we really wanted and make suggestions, sometimes when we ourselves weren't even quite sure of our vision or how to get there. Shannon was instrumental in helping me find every one of my vendors as well as our venue. She answered countless random questions and every piece of advice was spot-on. She is committed to helping you realize what you want while also remaining amazingly grounded in what weddings are really all about. And let's just say, it's a lot easier to focus on what weddings are really about when the logistics and details run smoothly, like ours did. We're in awe of how much we enjoyed our own wedding, and that's thanks to Shannon! She helped us coordinate getting 170 people to and from our venue, kept our ceremony and reception perfectly on schedule, and subtly dealt with any issues that arose. We've received an incredible amount of compliments about the wedding. A few guests remarked how well-organized and smooth everything was. Quite a few said it was the best wedding they've even been to and a couple of particularly enthusiastic guests told us it was the best night of their lives!! I just feel like Shannon set us all up to have the night of our lives. She made sure we were logistically and mentally ready, that our vendors were set and allowed us to get to a place where the details and stress of planning a wedding (which was soo much more complex than I could have possibly imagined) faded into the background and we could focus on what was really important. We can't thank you enough Shannon. Thank you for all the good work you do during this incredibly important yet nerve-wracking time in peoples' lives. It means the world to have a calming, competent and trustworthy person lead you through it!

planners, I spoke with Shannon Whitney and within seconds knew that I wanted Shannon to be my wedding planner. Shannon, the owner and head planner at WPP, was professional, quick to reply to emails, accessible, and caring. From the moment we hired her to the second our wedding was over, Shannon treated us as if we were the only couple she was planning a wedding for. How many people are given such incredible treatment? Because we were planning the wedding long distance, Shannon purchased items for us, created table arrangements and decorations, and allowed us to ship different wedding items to her house. She helped ease my anxiety, provided guidance and advice throughout the process, and lent her opinions when we were heading toward a mistake. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Shannon. We also had the pleasure of working with Alli Dillenbeck during our wedding. Like Shannon, Alli was professional and made us feel so special. ur dream wedding is perfectly executed? Shannon Whitney of Wedding Planning Plus, that’s who! When my husband and I started planning our wedding, we never thought that we would need day-of coordination. We had booked almost all of our vendors and pretty much knew exactly what we wanted. For a year we planned and planned and planned. But I didn’t want to be a wedding planner on my wedding day --- I wanted to be a bride. I wanted to enjoy our special day without the stress (or, let’s be real, as little stress as possible). I wanted our friends and family to enjoy being guests at our wedding. When you put so much time, money, and effort into an event such as a wedding, solid backup is a must. And I couldn’t have asked for better backup than Shannon. From day one, I knew we clicked and that she was Team Bride & Groom all the way. It was such a relief knowing that there was someone always on our side and looking out for our best interest. Her experience, knowledge of the industry, and advice were truly invaluable. She handled everything with ease and went to bat for us when were were stuck or had difficulty contacting vendors. When she took control in the weeks before the wedding I couldn't believe how stress free I was!!
