First off, I wish I could make it 4.5 stars. From our first call, I could tell Kristy and I would work well together. Initially, I was drawn to her reasonably priced services, but stayed for the vibes. We went with the coordination plan, since ...I had wanted to do a lot of work myself up front.
Kristy was transparent, professional & she set realistic expectations of her role from the beginning. We were given some initial resources and had regular communications throughout a ten month process.
Kristy’s services officially started three months out from our wedding. We had an official “kick-off” call. I was a little surprised it ended up taking another week or two after that call for her to start really taking over communications to our vendors. But I was probably way too involved and a little controlling & unwilling to relinquish my chokehold on things, so that was a me thing. At about the two-month mark is when vendor communication had fully transitioned. There were a few exceptions in which my fiancé and I needed to make specific decisions. Also, a couple vendors continued to communicate directly with me instead of Kristy, but I think that was probably vendor oversight.
Kristy was prompt and comprehensive with her responses to my endless questions. She provided a ton of helpful suggestions & best practices and assisted in some of the more granular decisions.
She made herself more available & was noticeably more attentive as we got closer to the wedding and things got more crazy, which was great for one-off questions and random things I remembered at the weirdest times. She provided very timely reminders and kept us on track when work/life/planning became overwhelming. Overall, my fiancé and I were really happy with her pre-wedding services.
Fast forward to wedding day. The reason we aren’t giving her a full five stars comes from a few minuscule (ultimately inconsequential) moments - but retrospectively, things we thought could have been handled better. First, we elected not to include her services for the rehearsal dinner, and our caterer for the rehearsal was included in mass wedding day vendor emails. There was a misunderstanding with the caterer and eight vendor meals (meant for wedding day) were added to the rehearsal when we didn’t have to provide meals to staff - an easy fix. Next, our wedding party was A LOT to handle and didn’t follow directions very well, however we wished Kristy and team had been a little more assertive with them, especially during pictures. Then, there were a few moments we remember needing her and it took a few minutes to locate her (most of which happened when all the vendors were setting up right before the ceremony and toward the end of the reception). These were minor inconveniences - not make or break mistakes by any means.
Overall, Kristy was wonderful. She was organized, attentive, knowledgeable, flexible, & professional. She made things much easier than we had expected, especially as I didn’t make things very easy with my eccentric and wild ideas. She juggled so many moving parts with expertise and grace. She also provided EXCELLENT, detailed resources that were essential throughout our process (seriously so beneficial). It’s obvious she put a lot of time and effort into creating them. She helped bring our vision to life and made our wedding a true embodiment of me and my fiancé. Our wedding exceeded our expectations and was a dream come true. You will not go wrong with booking Kristy and team!
