Westbury Floral Designs - Butterflies and Zebras

We used Westbury Floral Designs for our wedding and they were great! Prices were super reasonable (especially for the hoopah) and everything was perfect the day of. Lia was very nice and awesome to deal with. Definitely recommend!

I can’t say enough great things about Westbury Floral they are truly amazing! Lia and Tracy really go above and beyond to make everything perfect for your special day. I told them exactly what I wanted and gave a budget to stay in and they designed my amazing bouquet along with the gorgeous boutonnières, corsages and centerpieces for our wedding and all within our budget. All the flowers were absolutely beautiful and perfect.

I went to several florist before I selected Westbury Floral Designs. Tracy and Kia were so warm and I got a great vibe from the time I first stepped foot in the door. It was so easy to work with them and the prices were great. I loved the attention we received, which is the main reason I chose a small floral shop. The day of my wedding Tracy personally delivered my flowers to the hotel and wedding venue. She even stayed for the wedding and moved my flowers to the reception area. I was so pleased with the bouquets , centerpieces, ceremony flowers and boutonnieres. They were absolutely Gorgeous!! I recommend this Florist as "The Best in Westbury" and "The Best on Long Island"! She has made arrangements, center pieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and everything else needed for our events for three years and each one has been better that the previous one. They are great! The flowers for my wedding were the best. Exactly what I wanted. Their customer service was even better. Lia is the best! I must have changed my mind and walked in without an appointment 4 or 5 times and she would seamlessly change our contract without fuss. My emails were always answered quickly. They delivered the flowers to my house and the venue on time. They came all the way to my house just to deliver a few pieces of baby’s breath for my hair without fuss. I cannot recommend them enough!!

This is the only wedding vendor I had any problems with. Unless you go over the contract with a seriously fine-tooth comb, they'll pretend later that they misunderstood you and overcharge you for every minor detail and change. There was one decoration in particular for my arch that I had explained to them in our very first meeting. It was included in the contract for a reasonable price at first. Closer to the wedding date, when I confirmed all details with them, they all of a sudden decided to charge me an extra $250 for the same decoration, saying that they had only charged me for half of it before (meanwhile, I never changed my mind on it or made any changes to it). I sent them pictures and explained clearly, so there was not much room for misunderstanding. So I didn't want to argue at that point since the wedding was weeks away and so I just agreed to pay the exorbitant price. Imagine my surprise when my wedding starts and I notice that the thing they overcharged me for wasn't even there! I wish I had seen it before I was ready to walk down the aisle. So to be fair, I wrote them an email after my wedding asking for a refund for the things I paid for that clearly weren't done. The reply was that the balance was used to "pay designer fees" and they couldn't refund me. Well, if you charge per flower/leaf on the contract and raise prices every time you add a flower, you can't just say "oh they're for designer fees actually" when those flowers aren't used. The owner of the shop was the only “designer” I saw that day, and as the owner, she can very easily refund money to a customer that was screwed over and overcharged for something that wasn't even done. She then also had the nerve to say in her email that she didn’t charge me for some extra time that she had to wait at the venue to decorate something, which was not my problem or fault at all. I relayed to her exactly what my venue told me about timing before the wedding. Also, they’ve used the venue many times before so not sure why there was any surprise about timing this time. The only thing I was offered in the end was store credit, which, as I said to them, is useless to me since I rarely, if ever, buy flowers. I paid in cash and that’s what I’d expect to receive as a refund. There were other things I sent them pictures of for reference when decorating my venue that were not followed at all. Part of the problem, too, was that I dealt with one person throughout the entire planning process and a totally different person came on my wedding day. They caused me so much unnecessary stress before, during, and after the wedding. This wasn’t about a job done badly, because everything looked good to a person who otherwise wouldn’t know what was supposed to be there, and they were nice when dealt with in person. It was about them charging me for things they didn’t do and then not refunding the money I paid them for those things.
