and foremost, if it weren’t for Fred, we truly don’t know how we would’ve made it through the night. He was professional, calm, and went above and beyond when things got hectic. Angela was also helpful and attentive, especially with assisting myself, the bride, throughout the event. Taking pictures around the venue was amazing as the grounds were very well kept and we got some amazing shots! Guests raved about cocktail hour and the incredible selection of food and drinks. However, the set up on the venues behalf did not match what was discussed. I completed the Bridal Accessories sheet and labeled everything as to where it would be placed. When I arrived, things were not where they were supposed to be (i.e. how the menus should be placed on the plates, where the sunglasses basket should be, the double sign, etc. My mother ran around fixing as much as she could, but so much was out of place. Even though these are small details, it didn’t match my vision and I felt I wasted my time writing things down and organizing everything for them to just throw things anywhere. One of the most unfortunate aspects of our experience was being required to use a preferred vendor for florals, which led us to Matt from MDL. The décor execution on his behalf was extremely poor. The room did not look what we expected it to look and to make matters worse, the curtains used as a backdrop were wrinkled, bunched up, and visibly stained (I showed Matt pictures from other weddings at the venue of a sheer curtain to be used behind our sweetheart table and to match that picture). These unsightly backdrops now appear in nearly every photo. It's hard to understand how no one caught this or made any effort to correct it before the event began (as many other brides, my brain was scattered in the moment and there were other things my husband and I had to get to, or else I would’ve had them take it all down). We had high hopes for this venue, but details from MDL, that should have been handled with care and professionalism, were overlooked. I highly recommend getting a day of coordinator for this venue if you want everything to go perfectly. Overall, the experience at the Westmount was made by great individuals like Fred, Angela, our DJ, and our photographer.

rgettable. The staff was incredibly helpful, organized, and genuinely cared about making our day special. Fred helped coordinate our wedding and had an open line of communication. He was more than helpful answering all of our questions and helping cultivate our vision! Karen, the maitre-d, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect the day of. She was attentive, calming, and reassured us every step of the way! Our guests have ALL mentioned how much they loved the venue. The cocktail hour is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The flow of each room worked so well with our crowd and everything looked picture perfect! From the views to the food, it was outstanding. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a magical and stress-free wedding experience!
