WTO’s wedding and event planning was such a blessing to my wife and I. Ophelia stood 10 toes down for us from the very start to the finish line, and honestly she’s still been standing 10 toes down for us beyond the finish line. We instantly felt welcomed into the WTO family & literally became family. We gained a friend in Ophelia and a new future planner for all else. Her professionalism remained great throughout the duration, but she also knew when we needed just a friend while under distress. She was an open book for us and was always available, early mornings & late nights, with many ways of communicating via text, phone, FaceTime, email, etc. All the fires that erupted before our wedding that we thought would blow up on wedding day, SHE PUT OUT!!! On wedding day, WTO was our strength, and my wife and I were able to focus on nothing but the moment & focus on being IN the moment with each other. Ophelia absolutely did an amazing job at making the most important day of our lives, THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES!!! Still to this day, my wife and I say, we wouldn’t trade Ophelia for any other coordinator!!!

From the very beginning Ophelia and I instantly clicked, a true match made in heaven. She seamlessly connected me with the most incredible vendors and created a POWERHOUSE team for our wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Ophelia's unwavering support ensured I remained calm and confident, always putting our best interests at heart. Our wedding day was truly a dream come true, thanks to Ophelia's exceptional guidance, professionalism and expertise. I would recommend Ophelia to anyone, she the woman to get the job done and she’s going to get it done right. Ophelia and her team are exceptional. Our venue absolutely loved working with her, due to her professionalism and communication. The quality of her work is also obvious in the fantastic vendors she used. The caterer, bartender, drape and lighting, and decorators she brought to our venue were equally as wonderful. Ophelia and her team was the best. The day of the ceremony she wore many hats and handle ever obstacle that came her way. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Honestly it was a relief because on that day I just wanted to be a bride and her team made sure of that 🤍🤍
WTO is the best!!! Let me just start there first.
My sister had a beautiful wedding and 2 weeks later folks are still talking about it. But baby behind the scenes we had to put in some serious work and WTO was right there quarterbacking plays and making touchdowns!!! It stormed cats and dogs on the day of the wedding. We lost power. The transformer at the church caught on fire... It was a lot. WTO jumped into action and started developing a contingency plan when it was abundantly clear the church didn't have one. WTO kept us (the bridal party, bride, and groom) calm, attended to the guest, while also on the phone with the electric company to get power back on while also coming up with a plan if they could not deliver. We had a plan A, B, and C. And thank God we got to use plan A! And we only started 30 minutes later considering all that had transpired. WTO never lost their professionalism and they made it happen.
As the Matron of Honor. I had WTO on speed dial the ENTIRE Day. Every call, text, question, or concern was answered and handled. So yes I highly recommend it. Because no matter how much you plan and prepare some things will be out of your control and you need a professional time that can handle the impossible.

O was amazing from start to finish. She was a very detailed oriented and patient planner. We highly recommend her full planning service. We knew about the planning but we didn’t know about her amazing skills to talk you through situations when stress is high and you are upset/frustrated during the process. We appreciate every ounce if O’s time and experience. She is highly recommended.
I just want to say Thank You to the WTO team. Ophelia did her thing with making sure everyone sucks was in a row. She did an amazing job making sure we had everything how we wanted and then some. When it was getting close to the wedding she was right there when I needed her. Answering all questions, comments, and concerns. Love her.

Our wedding day did not go as planned due to the weather and a few other unforeseen situations. However, WTOW still made sure things flowed as best as they could. I ran across O when I first started planning but I had another vendor in mind that I had been watching. However that set up didn't work so I was back on the hunt. And this Ophelia name kept popping up. So I figured it had to be a sign. She had reached out from the recommendations so I have a brief text convo with her. Long story short we had a call. Perfect match! My husband and her met and we both were connected. He normal doesn't like people. But he sense the compassion and professionalism. Fun and very very good at what she does. I did full planning with her and she delivered! Exceedingly. When issues arose she was there. When I texted her at 2am she responded. NO QUESTIONS. I can't recommend another person in this world other than the lovely Ophelia Childress to be apart of your day. Making it special. If there was a problem at my wedding I literally know nothing of it. She handled it. And let me not forget her crew. There was a lovely lady by the name of Jarrise. She was so polite and sweet and help in was I'm sure she didn't know. I've got a bond with WTO for for life and every O'ccasion.
If I could give Ophelia 100 stars I would!!! I had the pleasure of working with her and her team for a wedding she planned! She recommended my company to design the event. The entire process from the beginning was top tier!! I mostly enjoyed how Ophelia used effective communication with her vendors.. Just on top of every single detail!! She’s is definitely a gem to the wedding world!
Ophelia is an awesome wedding planner! We hired her for month of coordination and we instantly hit it off from our first phone call! When we met in person, she was so easy going and I felt like I was talking with a friend rather than a stranger! Although she had never done an Indian wedding before, Ophelia made it a priority to ask questions and do a lot of research about Indian weddings. She was always a step ahead by making sure I had thought through everything and had a plan B if things didn’t go according to plan A. During a few really stressful moments, she kept me calm and made me laugh..a lot! She is very efficient and took care of all the details, big and small, during a 20 hour day. We started off working together but ended up as friends! She’s the best wedding coordinator and I would recommend her to all couples!
I started planning my wedding with no clue as to what I was doing. My mother-in-law recommended Ophelia to be our coordinator. It was the best decision ever! Ophelia and WTO were amazing! She was there every step of the way and went above and beyond her duties! The day of my wedding went so smoothly thanks to her and her team! I can't thank her enough for all the hard work she put in! Ophelia and her assistant Jasmine were amazing and did a great job alleviating the intense stress that comes with wedding planning. We did a destination wedding in Jamaica. In the midst of a pandemic with absolutely no in-person meetings, WTO handled all of the intricate details and negotiating that comes along with planning destination wedding, including vendors. WTO's communication, professionalism, transparency, and overall willingness to prioritize our desires for the wedding helped make this event the destination wedding of our dreams. We were reassured at every point throughout the planning process that WTO was executing our vision for our wedding gracefully.

I was in need of top to bottom consulting and coordination for my 25th vow renewal. This included vendor referral and management, planning, budget review, contract negotiation and more. Ms. Childress asked all the right questions to best understand what we expected during out initial consultation and the rest was history! I am beyond satisfied and would recommend her to anyone looking to host an exceptional and memorable affair! My husband and I felt like this team was part of our family. Ophelia is the best wedding planner EVER!!!! When my husband and I first met her. She was so warm, kind, and friendly and was so quick to pay attention to every detail that we wanted and need. Based off of that I knew she was going to be our Wedding planner. She has help us a lot every step of the way. From the start of finding us different designers to accommodate our cost to two days before my wedding giving birth from a hospital bed and still checking to see if we have everything we need. Ophelia and her team are wonderful and I will be glad to have her help with future events.
We hired Ophelia and her team for our May 2021 microwedding and month of planning and coordination. I wish I could scream from the rooftops how amazing Ophelia is. We met and there was an instant connection and we knew we wanted to use her services. I knew a good bit about what I wanted and planned for our wedding after our replan. I thought I could do most of it myself, but she brought so much to the table! From great vendor and decor recommendations to keeping me on my timeline to asking about things I had not/would not have thought about to helping us arrange all of my flowers and keep vendor shenanigans at a minimum - she was truly phenomenal.She will listen if you just need to vent, and make you feel like everything is okay, and most important she will make sure everything actually is okay!
Ophelia was always responsive and easy to talk ideas or concerns through with. Many times, she'd understand what I was trying to say way better than I could explain. Being able to utilize her for help communicating with vendors was a blessing and a huge burden off of my shoulders. She was dynamite our entire wedding weekend. From hanging out with my dad and I when I fell ill to making sure the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner went seamlessly. For the ceremony, she turned this giant empty space into the most beautiful ceremony site and something I hadn’t pictured in our wildest dreams. She was so chill (prayed with me the morning of) and calmed our nerves for us.
I felt that I could totally leave all vendor matters to her, which was a huge stress relief and she only included us when she absolutely had to. Throughout the month of our wedding, Ophelia was very communicative and, overall, just great – and fun! – to work with.
We've been married for three weeks now, and we still talk on a regular basis.vShe’s moved from being just our wedding planner to being a friend. Working with Ophelia was like working with a good friend, and I am incredibly thankful to have had the chance to do so. She has a gift and we’re eternally grateful that we got to experience it. We recommend her with the utmost confidence and cannot imagine anyone better to help with your special day!

Wedding planners have the ability to play a large role in stress management before and after weddings. I was not satisfied with the way situations were handled on our wedding day or afterwards. As a bride on their wedding day, I experienced immense stress due to lack of a time line being followed and communicated. Moments before I walked down the aisle, I was making sure and locating the the rings, flowers, and flower basket for my ring bearer and flower girl. More money was spent on photography due to lack of communication and scheduling. I received an invoice after my wedding from another vendor--when asking the planner about it, I was met with perceived defense and attitude instead of accountability. As the bride, the management of vendors the day of our ceremony was not my job. Therefore to be met with defense when assessing the reason for a new invoice was extremely unfortunate and unnecessary. I don't have nor will I receive our unity candles from our ceremony. I was told I didn't have to buy our unity candles because it was "taken care of", but if I would have known a planner would keep our unity candles (that have no meaning to a planner) I would have happily purchased them myself. I didn't ask for it to be a "gift", but extremely disappointed that my husband and I will never have our unity candle in our home and possession.
Due to my personality, I most likely would have let this slide if I felt that there was a sense of care, accountability, and/or empathy. My experience has not been positive since my wedding day. I have only received passiveness, attitude, and stonewalling. Leaving an impact on our honeymoon and the honeymoon stage of our marriage.
In short, I understand the difficulty of being a business owner, but customer service and how you treat people goes A LONG way. Especially with an investment as large as a wedding.

Highly Recommend!! I worked with Ophelia for a recent wedding and she did a phenomenal job. Weeks before the wedding she was very communicative with all the vendors and made sure we had everything we needed to do our jobs well. Which is the definition of a "leader", helping others to be successful so the event will Flawless & Smooth. I can go on and on but her work ethic was wonderful, her attitude was so positive, and it made the difference in the success of the event and her clients happiness & experience. Great job Ophelia!
Ophelia was amazing and provided exactly what I asked for and then a bit more. I contacted Ophelia a few weeks before my birthday with some ideas for a staycation due to COVID. Many know my birthday is a challenging time for me as my mother (who is deceased) birthday is the very next day. Celebrating is hard. This year I wanted to be different. When I tell you Ophelia planned every bit to the detail from Thursday night couples massage for my husband and I to dinner Friday night to our Saturday day part which was LIT by the way. It was absolutely enjoyable, fun and the best! Thank you for your services!

I wanted to plan an intimate dinner for my husband on our anniversary which was in the middle of the week. I reached out to Ophelia two weeks before our anniversary. I was totally expecting her to say it was too short of a notice and she wouldn't be able to help... Well she showed me! Within a matter of hours, I'd made my deposit on a dinner for two in my home! She organized food, drinks, music, and decor that was absolutely beautiful! It was a surprise for my husband so the timeline had to work perfectly. She was on time and made sure everything was set up before my husband came home from work. I really appreciate her hard work and attention to detail to make our anniversary a success. I am reviewing as a private chef/ caterer. Ophelia reached out to me to provide an anniversary dinner for two. Communicating and coordinating this event was a breeze with her. She was prompt, professional, and secured the deposit immediately. Of course due to covid-19 did drop off only. I arrived to the location decorations were done beautifully. Every detail of this event had been elaborately planned from the entrance of guests, venue location, entertainment choices, and down time between ceremony and reception. She had even opted to include social media filters and hashtags into the ceremony and reception so pictures taken by guests could be easily found. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding for a great friend of mine a few years ago and O’ccasion Wedding & Event Planning hosted the event. Let me tell you. The wedding was amazing. Ophelia and her team made this one of the most elegant weddings I’ve ever attended. The decorations, preparation, punctuality and overall experience was breathtaking and impressive.
