Hiring Mary was the #1 best choice I made leading up to our wedding. She was one of the most important team members that helped our September 2024 wedding be an incredible day. I can’t tell you how much it meant to have someone advocating for us and making sure our needs were met. Mary went above and beyond the day-of-coordinator role. She contacted and organized our vendor team, helped with the schedule, and did a pre-wedding walk through with the venue staff. We had some communication issues with our venue, and Mary clarified everything- significantly reducing the stress on us leading up to the day. Day of, she helped with decorating, seating our guests, distributing tips, and a million other little tasks- she thinks of everything. Mary has worked with many wedding professionals throughout New England, she is kind, detail oriented, and dedicated to her clients!

Could not imagine our special day or the months leading up to it without Mary's help and support. She was always so friendly and easy to talk to and we appreciated her knowledge and help! She was always willing to have a quick call or chat about something which helped me more than I realized!! She was flexible and was able to figure things out with us that weekend and I knew everything "behind the scenes" was being taken care of when we were getting ready and spending time/celebrating with all our friends and family! Mary was such a pleasure to work with and was the best decision we made during the wedding planning process! From our first phone call, we were impressed with her professionalism and attention to details, and we knew she had the perfect personality and approach to make our special day flawless. Even though she was hired as our day-of coordinator, for the 6 months leading up to our wedding, she was helping us fine-tune details and following up on any concerns we had. No matter when we emailed her, she always responded promptly with whatever answer we needed. Throughout the rehearsal day and wedding day, she took so much stress off of us because we knew that she had everything handled. We received so many compliments about Mary from our guests and could not be more grateful for all the work she put into our wedding.
Mary was amazing and a joy to work with! She went so above and beyond leading up to the wedding making sure we had all the i’s dotted.. and right vendors for our vision– she really knew our venue, Hardy Farm through and through which was hugely helpful. Our timeline for the day of was so detailed and organized and I didn’t have to stress. Mary made sure everyone was where they should be the day of the wedding, made sure everything was getting set up correctly, and made sure I had everything I needed from start to finish. We could not be more grateful for Mary – she truly helped to make our wedding day perfect! We cannot recommend WM celebrations enough!

I have worked with Mary for 10 years in the industry and also hired her for my own wedding!!! I could not recommend her highly enough. She feels like family to me. She's organized, hardworking and determined. Everything ran smoothly and I knew I was in good hands! For a wedding vendor to hire her, that says a lot!! Absolutely love this woman.
Mary was amazing. She was so flexible and that's what it took to help see our wedding vision through. Our wedding went from a large weekend bash to a private elopement and she was equipped for everything and every pivot we made.
Mary was fantastic. We hired her as a day-of coordinator, but was a huge help for months leading up to our big day. She provided great sheets/tools to help keep us organized and was in sync with the venue regarding timing and vendors. But what stood out the most was Mary's ability to work on the fly and adapt. Our florist forgot crowns for the flower girls and centerpieces for cocktail hour, but Mary calmly gave us an update and came up with alternate solutions to make sure everything looked great. She had a calming, motherly presence that was helpful for what was a stressful morning. Mary worked great with the venue coordinator. She was never in the way and worked great with everyone involved.
We loved working with Mary! I don’t even know where to start because Mary helped me with planning my wedding for two years. In the early phases she helped us navigate the overwhelming number of options for venues. She has a wealth of knowledge on the wedding industry. She talked through all the details with us and provided her professional opinion. My wedding weekend went smoothly as a result of Mary’s attention to detail. She coordinated all the vendors and efficiently managed setup and breakdown of the venue decorations. Mary helped keep me calm and was very communicative so that my wedding was exactly what I wanted. I was a photographer at one of Mary's weddings. She was a true organizer. With a great personally I might add :) Mary was a pleasure to work with. She always had the couples needs in the forefront. I was especially impressed when the bride's hair appt was cancelled the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding. Mary jumped in and filled that need very quickly. She was there the whole day assisting for the couple and I was really happy to see that.
We loved Mary!! We hired her as our day-of coordinator. From the start, she was on the ball with all the right questions and considerations to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch. She was patient with us amid the busyness of planning a wedding in 7 months and kept everything together even when things got a little harried. She met with us to tour the property and plan out the big day, helped us make the schedule, and coordinated everything with our vendors. She made sure everything was handled in advance to keep the day-of as stress free as possible! The evening before our day, we were scheduled for rehearsal and decorations but with everything going on, we arrived late and the venue experienced a power outage until 10pm! She worked with the venue hosts to provide solutions, coordinated the guests already there, and got us through rehearsal. She was understanding and kind when I was completely frazzled. With our guests help and grace From Above, we were able to get everything decorated (even in the dark) and Mary was there early the next day pulling IT OFF!! I loved that she completely took charge on wedding day and made sure all the loose ends we didn't get to were buttoned up. She made sure everyone/everything was in place and according to schedule. She even brought decor we could use and clippings of sweet fern for our table arrangements! She is amazing!! Mary was truly invaluable to our success on wedding day and we're so happy we chose her as our coordinator!
Mary is AMAZING. Not only is she one of the kindest people my husband and I have ever had the privilege to know, she is also the DREAM wedding planner and that is not an exaggeration. From day one she went above and beyond at every turn - she was patient with me and my millions of (sometimes neurotic) questions, handled what I couldn't (or what would stress me out too much), kept everything perfectly organized and on schedule and is an actual superhero when it comes to handling a wedding "crisis" quickly, calmly and elegantly. Case in point: my hair stylist canceled on us the NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING. I called Mary and within an hour she had found a local salon willing to do my updo the next morning, and made me an appointment. She literally saved the wedding day.
Mary was truly the architect of our dream wedding and it simply would not have been possible without her. She made our wedding day so beautiful and took away all our stress and worries so we could actually enjoy it.

From my first phone call with Mary, I could tell she would be an important part of my wedding day. As someone who has lived in the White Mountains for years, she has her finger on the pulse of the region, and knows the ins and outs of the venues in the area and has established relationships with the staff and vendors. When our venue underwent an ownership change during the planning process, Mary kept my husband and I updated of those changes and eased our anxiety over how these changes might affect our wedding.
I met with Mary over coffee one morning a couple months before the wedding to get to know each other and talk about details and the plan for the day. She helped me organize the rest of the planning process and provided me with great ideas and suggestions. My husband and I met with her again before the rehearsal to go over the details for the décor, placement of items, vendor arrivals, etc. Mary attended the rehearsal and helped “choreograph” how the processional and recessional would work, which was so helpful. On the wedding day, Mary and her colleague, Kelly, worked tirelessly behind the scenes the whole day to keep us on schedule, coordinate with vendors, and make sure everything went smoothly. I was able to be fully immersed in my wedding day, which I would not have been able to do without Mary handling all the details.
Mary Powers is a powerhouse! What could have been a stressful day had absolutely no stress because she took care of everything. So knowledgeable, kind, supportive, well organized and absolutely amazing!!! 100% a must have
Hiring Mary was THE BEST decision I made for our wedding. It went beautifully smooth, down to the smallest details because of Mary's expertise in planning.
She helped me communicate with all the vendors and the hotel manager throughout the process, and made sure all the place cards, menus, favors, yard games...etc. were placed exactly the way I wanted. I felt completely stress-free on the wedding day, allowing me to truly enjoy every special moment. It was a dream-come-true day for us, and it wouldn't have been possible without Mary!!!
Mary is the BEST. Without Mary my husband and I would have been completely lost. We wanted a non-traditional wedding and only had 7 months to plan the whole thing. We decided to use Mary as a wedding planner, and it was the best decision we’ve ever made. First of all, Mary is so responsive and kind. I had a lot of very stupid questions and she answered every one of them. Mary also knows all the right vendors to make your day what you’re looking for. She was also willing to jump on a million calls with us and various vendors. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Not one thing went wrong and was planned beautifully (which was all Mary!) Having Mary on your team will be the best decision you make for your wedding.
Mary was the perfect choice for us. I’m not from the NH area, so I relied on Mary A LOT to help with vendor recommendations and overall planning. Every vendor she chose was just as amazing as she was, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result. Our day was absolutely perfect, from the outdoor ceremony, to our tea ceremony (and bringing that inside last min due to a quick rainstorm), to our party reception. We even extended the band an extra half hour, which Mary helped coordinate on our behalf.
It wasn’t just the planning though, it was Mary’s attention to detail and suggestions for table settings, dance floor placement etc. With a wedding of 200+ people, we really relied on Mary’s expertise to help create a day that was so seamless and one that we’ll never forget.

We had a nontraditional ceremony and reception in the time of COVID. Mary helped us for a year and a half with all of the details and had great ideas and solutions. She is very knowledgeable about resources in the area and flexible with the plan. Our wedding would not have happened without her.
After planning and cancelling 2 weddings due to COVID Mary was a lifesaver! She worked with us for almost a year helping us to plan a wedding in NH while we were living in Texas. Planning and vendors went smoothly. Weekend of the wedding was an absolute breeze! Friday night we met and discussed everything and Saturday I was able to just get ready with my girls and then walk down the aisle! Having Mary by our sides made the world of a difference I am so thankful to her for helping make our day so perfect and fun!
We hired Mary to be our Day of Coordinator for our 9/12 wedding, but she was so much more to us than our Day of Coordinator, she became part of our family. Originally, we weren’t going to hire a wedding planner and didn’t have it in our budget to do so. Then, COVID hit and we knew we had to do something to take the stress off ourselves a little bit and decided to hire Mary.
Mary completely blew us away at every turn. She was a crutch for us to lean on when we were dealing with the hardest parts of wedding planning during a pandemic. We were in constant communication with her and she was a saint when dealing with me during my bridezilla moments.
The weekend of our wedding she handled every detail for me and made the whole process a breeze. Her extensive knowledge and background shined through as she handled each task with ease. She thought of things for me that I would have never thought of and made my wedding so much better! We truly cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done for us and would highly recommend her services to any future bride and groom out there!

Thank goodness for Mary! I had specific ideas about how I wanted our day to go and look and feel, but I needed a lot of help executing them. Mary stayed in contact throughout our planning process and met us in person multiple times along the way. She helped us coordinate rentals like napkins and chargers, she reviewed and tweaked our schedule to make it better, and she contacted all our vendors ahead of the big day to make sure things went smoothly. During the wedding weekend, she helped make the venue beautiful and kept every detail on track. We really felt like we didn't have to worry about a thing, and we could focus on enjoying every moment of our day. Thank you so much!

Our wedding took place in August of 2016. We choose to be married in a church and have our reception at another location. Mary was an integral part of making sure all the vendors stayed on schedule, had what they needed and most importantly made sure guests were enjoying their time at the cocktail hour while waiting for us to return from photographs. She also assisted with layout possibilities within our reception location as our décor was all DIY, keeping in mind the needs of each vendor and where they would best be suited to set-up. Mary truly focused on the details (like opening 16 bottles of wine and lighting over 75 candles just before guests arrived!) allowing us to enjoy our day with great joy. Mary organized a beautiful outdoor wedding at our scenic farm in Maine - challenges abounded, but all were handled with grace. From the tent, to the decorations, to the food tent, fancy portable toilets, all of it was magical and beautiful.

2 years ago my daughter and I contacted Mary Power to help with her wedding. We thought we knew what we were doing and did not need a wedding planner but then decided it may be helpful as my daughter was living in California at the time.
Mary was extremely helpful but we were wrong we NEEDED a wedding planner and specifically we needed Mary Power. Everything my daughter and I had done (on our own), from caterer to photographer fell through 3 months before her wedding. And our bakery was refusing to make her cake without latex gloves, due to my severe allergy, and I was going to pay then $800.00
Friday night of Easter weekend everything crashed and I called Mary hysterical.
We not only had to figure out how to get everything, EVERYTHING) in place during the height of wedding season, she had to do it by 4 PM on August 22, 2015 or my daughters 15 year dream of marrying on Church Island was going to die.
She did it. I had latex free cake. My husband called her “General Patton” as she managed to get 150 people to and from the island on time, Then from the dock to the reception without a glitch. The food was so good everyone told me it did not taste like wedding food but like they were in a fine restaurant, our dinner was amazing and our photographer took the best photos of the event. Mary also had to decorate the barn, herself. It was magical. We even had portable bathrooms that were nicer than any hotel, they were such a hit as they had p[piped in music.
She did all of this within our budget. I knew every step of the way what something would cost before she booked or bought something for us.
I could not have done this without Mary Power. She made my daughter’s “dream happen” It was a fairy tale and a party we will never forget! Thank you Mary Power and White Mountain Celebrations
