Our experience at willowfalls was simply incredible!! We are a couple from south Florida and booked this venue sight unseen. We were extremely pleased when we arrived to such a whimsical and fairy-tail like venue. After a year of stressful plan...ning, willowfalls was the perfect place to see it all unfold. We checked in on a Thursday and were able to host a small welcome party for the bridesmaids and groomsmen before additional family and friends arrived. Friday morning, we had a group breakfast and our rehearsal at 11 am so that we could host our larger welcome party that evening at Highland Lake inn and resort (where our guests were staying). Saturday of course was our big day, and Sunday we took full advantage of the late checkout while cleaning up after the long weekend.
Reading reviews plays a large role in the booking process. That being said, this is our transparent review!
Our wedding was around 75 people in total. We had seven groomsmen and seven bridesmaids. We spent around 27,000$ in total after everything for an entire weekend of events.
The things we loved most about Willowfalls was how BEAUTIFUL and how peaceful it is. It was extremely clean and comforting. When we first arrived, we had a lovely welcoming with champagne and chocolate and coffee! And It smelt wonderful. Waking up at willowfalls was something I will be dreaming about doing again for a long time. The bed itself was soooo comfortable. The way the light enters the house in the mornings left me speechless. It is exactly the place you want to wake up for your wedding weekend. There are so many places to sit and enjoy the beauty. Deidra and Blake were very accommodating to the needs of our wedding and worked with us every step of the way. We loved the fact that there were three fridges on property, a water dispenser, and an ice machine. For our wedding, willowfalls provided the tables, chairs, alter, and water carafes for the dinner portion. The tables and chairs were set up before arrival to the venue. We loved that this is a DIY type of venue and we felt we had full reigns on setting it up exactly how we wanted. Deidra (day of coordinator) was incredible and efficient and we could not have done it without her.
If this is a location you are considering for your wedding, here is some advice.
We felt that the preferred vendors were a bit on the pricy side. However, we were able to find alternatives that will be listed below. We ended up buying more than necessary as we were unaware of how much willowfalls offered as far as kitchen utensils go (it may be wise to reach out and inquire before making purchases.)There is limited parking for guests, so for larger weddings, you are required to get a shuttle company (which ensures no one drinks and drives at your wedding!) The venue does not come with people to help move the chairs from ceremony to reception area so we had to ask our wedding party to do this for us (which was disclosed prior, just keep it in mind.)There is a strict noise ordinance and I will say that if you have a loud, dancing group who wants loud music, you may run into problems.
In all, willowfalls was an amazing space, so relaxing and rejuvenating! For us, it will be a place we will celebrate our love in the future.
