mooth. They responded promptly to all of my questions and requests. We loved our tasting and my mom and I attended a spring bridal show which was fabulous. Our wedding weekend came and it was absolutely perfect! Everything was beautiful and our guests loved the Windrift. Amazing food, views, staff, decor, hotel rooms.. the list goes on and on. Alexa helped us with our rehearsal and she was there the day of. She was so friendly and helpful. Ronda added a personal touch to our favors by displaying them in a heart shape. Mike, the hotel manager was so kind and cordial to all of our guests. It truly was a magical weekend. We even had a breathtaking sunrise to wake up to on wedding day. I got to see the sun rise over the ocean from my room’s balcony! In summary, you should have a Windrift wedding ! You will be smiling the entire time and for days after.

The florist Karin at Blooms took my vision and made it a reality! My photographer Susan who was one of my brides back in the day took care of us every step during the day always saying how I was glowing - I was so happy!! We got married on the beach and they made sure everything was set up properly. I walked down with both my Mom and Dad so they made sure the aisle was big enough - it was perfect and as I got to my smiling husband I couldn’t wait to see what else was in store for us! The cocktail hour was amazing people were raving about the food and pasta station. When the curtain opened up to the reception it was magical we felt so special the room looked gorgeous!! I remember sitting down and in awe of the beauty that showered the room and how so many of our family and friends got to share this moment! The servers made it all work effortlessly! And I knew if I ever needed anything Rhonda or Alexa was always there! I was smiling the entire time and we even got to experience downstairs at the Windrift the annual Halloween party what a hoot!! I still feel like I’m on cloud 9 writing this and wish all the best to couples who book at the Windrift they are in good hands!!

Ronda meticulously takes care of your reception layout, linens and meals. She helped with the flow of our cocktail and reception so that the day went on seamlessly. These two are a dream to work with and make everything SO EASY! The Windrift Resort is such a perfect wedding venue! It ended up feeling like a destination wedding but even better since all of our friends and family could more easily attend! From the second we arrived to check into the hotel everyone from the valet to the front desk could not be more kind and more professional! Mike from the hotel is so nice and super quick to respond to emails regarding guest reservations and took care of handing out our welcome bags. We had a beautiful beach ceremony right out front of the resort. Cocktail hour on the 2nd floor deck is such a gorgeous setting and the food was delicious! We loved the flow of everything and that dinner was right on the same floor as cocktail hour. Everyone has told us it was one of the best weddings and the best food they have ever had! In comparison to the couple of places in the area that we toured, the Windrift by far gives you the most options for entrées and cocktail hour! We had such a perfect day that was better than we could have imagined! If you are looking for a wedding venue that isn’t a traditional ballroom venue I 100% recommend the Windrift Resort! Jeff took full control of the ceremony part of the day and Ronda completely coordinated the cocktail hour and reception. They are very well experienced in the field and care so much about making your day perfect for you. They are both always so quick to respond and available, encouraging questions and wanting to know as much as possible about how you envision you day. They work with any vendors you bring in, step in to help above and beyond 100% of the time. Everything from day 1 was completely seemless, simple and easy. There is plenty of stress in the wedding planning process but never once did I feel it regarding anything with The Windrift, Jeff or Ronda. The food is AMAZING. Our guests won’t stop raving about it. They special ordered a liquor for us so that we could have the signature drink we wanted. They make you feel as if you are the only bride and groom getting married there for the entire year. It was truly an honor to work with Jeff and Ronda and to have our incredible day and such a perfect venue. If you want to get married at the jersey shore - look no further. The Windrift is where you want to be!!!!!

Due to circumstances outside of our (and their) control we could not have our wedding at the Windrift; however I'm sure that if we did it would have been done wonderfully and professionally. If you are interested in a beach venue with excellent personnel, would highly recommend considering this venue.

After we had booked and began the planning process Jeff was there every step of the way even when I knew I was being super annoying lol but he was pleasant and understanding and answered all of my questions on and off the clock ! This venue blew everyone at the wedding away. I booked the room next to the bridal suite on Friday and Saturday and had twenty women able to be in both rooms with the doors open and the beach breeze flowing into the rooms. As we were getting ready we received some fruit and sandwich trays ! I had brought some champagne and we drank mimosas and Jeff and the staff at the windrift continued to check in and fulfill every small detail ! I was definitely an anxious and OCD bride but my experience was amazing 😉 The team at the windrift were organized, punctual and so pleasant to work with from start to finish ! I had asked for a table at the ceremony to be filled with a few things and they were set up perfect as well as the fake flowers I had asked to have put on the arbor which came out beautiful! I had also done all my own table #’s and needed vases to be set up and they did it with no hesitation! They put everything together so beautifully ! At the wedding ceremony Jeff and the staff helped to keep the little ones in the wedding together and keep the wedding going with no interference, it went so smooth ! I had asked to have a receiving line and Jeff set us up right on the boardwalk as we left the beach so when everyone walked off we were able to greet and hug each guest it was so amazing !! As we went inside we were asked if there was anything they could get us and immediately started taking care of our guests ! Each guest was greeted with a wine and cheese plate as the entered the cocktail hour and I swear we were all full before we even got to the reception from the delicious and huge selection of food offered at cocktail hour ! Our guests could not stop raving over the food saying they had thought that was dinner ;) once the reception began just like everything else it was organized and beautifully laid out just like I had asked ! The staff were courteous and attentive the whole night and made everything from the announcements, dances, bouquet toss and cake cutting run so smoothly ! My Husband and I are so thankful we were able to get married here and cannot wait to just come back and visit and eat dinner at the spot where we both had our best day ever !!!!! If you are looking for the perfect venue and people you will have it here!

could not ask for more. We got compliments on everything from the venue itsides, to the food, drinks, views, after party bars downstairs, EVERYTHING. Needless to say, we will be vacationing there as well because we feel like the Windrift holds such a special place in our lives forever.

sappointed. Ronda and Jeff are hands down the best. There was NOTHING I ever had to worry about. I knew I could call/text them and ask any questions without hesitation. If they did not have an answer they would get me the right answer. Ronda and Jeff were very accommodating to any need. Ronda brought my dreams to life of simple, yet beautiful in the reception room. The food was amazing, our guests called and texted for a month to let us know how wonderful our cocktail hour was and their entrees. The entire wedding staff was great, they made sure we were taken care of, fed, and had drinks in our hands all night. There could not have been a better option for my dream wedding. I do not know how Ronda and Jeff do what they do, but they are amazing. I am so thankful for both of them. They sure do know how to take care of their brides and grooms.

ff, one of the wedding coordinators, was more than happy to sit down with us to discuss our wedding when we unexpectedly showed up. My mom and I knew the Windrift was the venue after that meeting. The reception room is like no other in the area and Jeff was just an absolute pleasure to talk things over with in the beginning and throughout the entire planning process. I really can’t say enough about him- from answering all of our questions, following up with us when he needed answers, confirming that our payments were received for the deposits and handling my last-minute changes during the weeks leading up to the wedding. Both Jeff and Ronda were there for the day of our wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. The food was incredible- from the appetizers during cocktail our through our entrees. So many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to and the Windrift, Jeff and Ronda were a HUGE part of making sure we had the best day of our lives. I can’t thank them enough!

viously stunning setting, Jeff Walden and Ronda made our experience a dream come true. 100%, EVERYthing was perfect. Their help through it all was priceless, the food was delicious from apps to dinner (and we all know wedding food can be blah & dry), the accommodations, the hotel staff, the bartenders, were all amazing. All I kept saying was "Jeff, I don't know how you do it all." He went out of his way to make everything extra easy, and perfect. I don't have one complaint about our event and neither did my guests...all of them are still contacting me to tell me it was the best food and most beautiful wedding venue that they have ever been to. We can not thank you enough. I would do it all over again 1000 times. Rachel, and Ronda and Jeff helped our wedding day go perfectly and without any worry. I never felt stress during wedding planning as I truly felt like I had a hired team of personal wedding planners. My husband worked very closely with Jeff from the day we got engaged on the beach outside of the Windrift in September 2016. Both Jeff and Ronda were so easy to work with and always available with the millions of questions and requests we had during our year of planning. They went above and beyond to accommodate EVERYTHING we wanted to make our wedding day the way we pictured it! Everyone always says something goes wrong the day of your wedding but seriously, there isn't one thing we would've changed. It was perfect from start to finish: ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and even the after party. People are still raving about how it was the best wedding they've been to and how good the food was. The timing of everything was spot on! We couldn't have had a better day. Thank you again to the Windrift, everyone who works there who helped us throughout our year of planning, and especially to Jeff and Ronda. We will be singing your praises for life!

e months leading up to our big day that he honestly feels like a friend now. We wanted a lot of non traditional elements at our reception that I was worried wouldn’t be easy to do. Ronda made sure we got everything we wanted and made sure to keep telling us that it’s our big day and nothing was a problem for her to change. The day of, Jeff was so calm and collected even when things happened that I though could ruin everything. Ronda was right there all night through the reception making sure nothing went wrong and everything went smoothly. I 100% would book another event here just to have the pleasure of working with them again. If you’re on the fence about booking your wedding here, I’m telling you to DO IT! You won’t regret it. Bar was great, couldn’t have asked for anything else. Great music from out DJ Tony and the flowers that Karin from Bllooms designed were perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything else. Jeff and Ronda made our day flawless. Thank you to all at the Windrift for making our day a perfect one!!

is absolutely DELICIOUS! All of our guests were complimenting how wonderful their meals were. They also have 2 huge bars which easily accommodated the amount of guests we had. We have attended many weddings over the years, and our Windrift wedding was truly special and unforgettable. The price is also very competitive compared to other shore venues, and the 2nd story view of the ocean is AMAZING!!! There is no way anyone would be disappointed with this venue! The only set back I experienced was an extreme shortage of carts to help carry our things out the day after the wedding. I believe there are only 2 for the entire hotel (not sufficient) and virtually all of our guests were late checking out as they could not find one and had to hand-carry everything out. The elevators are also very small and I had to take the stairs every time I ran out to the car. Not fun at all.. but a small disappointment in an overall wonderful experience.

venue, Rachel became our guide through the entire process, and managed the details for our beach ceremony and reception. She was proactive, responsive, engaged and universally amazing from day one. She went above and beyond the call of duty on multiple occasions, handled any last minute problems with ease, and helped to make the process of planning our wedding fun! Rhonda was responsible for the details for our reception on the day of, and she attended to every single detail - including sending servers with food and cocktails from our cocktail hour out to the beach while we took photos. She made helpful suggestions during the process of working out the final details, and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of. Nick from the hotel made sure our guests (and us) were comfortable and even helped us work out a few last minute lodging issues (including one fairly major one) quickly and without question. As for the day of our wedding, Rachel, Rhonda and the entire staff made it almost completely stress-free for us. They made sure that we had an unforgettable night, and that our guests did too. Our beach ceremony was beautiful, and the Windrift is set up perfectly for beach weddings - and they know how to manage every possible variable with ease (including in case of adverse weather - which, luckily, we did not have to contend with). The food was simply incredible - from the cocktail hour to dinner, the drinks were fantastic and easy to obtain, and the servers and bartenders were attentive, friendly and wonderful. And, for your guests, the hotel is just a fantastic place to stay. The rooms range from standard hotel rooms to 3 bedroom condos overlooking the beach, and all are modern, well furnished and comfortable. The restaurants have great food and service, and it's easy to get a drink or a cup of coffee anytime. It's steps to the beach, or your guests can enjoy the beautiful pool! Coordination of our vendors with the venue was easy and seamless - other than connecting them, we had not a worry. We toured a number of wedding venues in at the Jersey Shore, but as soon as we saw the Windrift, and met Rachel, we knew we had found the right place. The venue is beautiful, the service impeccable, and if you choose to have your wedding here, you will be as happy to have made that choice as we are. We cannot recommend the Windrift more highly.

The food is better than any wedding food you've ever had. Everything is cooked minutes before you get it. Our guests are still raving about it weeks later! Also, you simply cannot beat the convenience of having a hotel on site. Your guests will thank you for not having to drive anywhere being that their rooms, 2 restaurants, 7 bars, and a pool for the kids are all in one spot! We cannot recommend the Windrift enough! Our guests said it was like a celebrity wedding! It is the absolute best!

t is The Windrift staff knows what they are doing and they made it the complete success it was. I knew since the tasting that we were in good hands. Rachel and her partner Jeff made that day enjoyable and fun. The fact the food was delicious certainly helped but the calm and confidence they instilled are what I remember most. I did not realize the extent of the stress and anxiety resulting from planning a wedding, but Windrift’s staff made it easier and fun. The lead up to the wedding found me sending Rachel constant, crazy emails regarding any and all details. She not only provided complete and detailed answers to all my queries, she encouraged them, and made me feel not crazy about asking her anything. Upon our arrival at The Windrift we were greeted by their friendly and professional staff. No question or task was too big or small. Nicholas was especially helpful that day and throughout the lead up to the wedding when I booked rooms, cancelled them and then re-booked! And those rooms! They are gorgeous, from The Classic to the stunning Wedding Suite. The girls in the wedding party had their hair styled in their gorgeous wedding suite while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. In fact, the stylist remarked that they never had such perfect lighting! All our guests staying at The Windrift were beyond satisfied and happy, with some out-of-staters remarking they will be returning to visit the Jersey shore. We were all set for the glorious wedding day. The day flew by and suddenly it was 4:30 and my husband and I were walking our daughter to the place where she’ll marry on the beautiful beach outside of The Windrift. Cue the music and we were in full sobbing mode. Thus began one of the sweetest, most meaningful milestones in our life: our daughter’s beautiful wedding ceremony, and the realization of her lifelong wish to be married on the beach. I still cannot get over the vivid coloring of that day when I look at the wedding photos! And so the celebration began! Ronda worked her magic to make it the smashing success it was, along with all the wait staff and bartenders. The Windrift setup is absolutely perfectly, with guests spilling out into the cocktail area immediately following the ceremony, food and drinks at the ready. I am still receiving compliments about the delicious appetizers and meals, as well as the quality and strength of the adult beverages! I could not believe when the band announced “last call.” Surely, I thought, there is a mistake. But again, The Windrift offers full service fun and the party just continued downstairs. (Thereafter it continued in a few rooms and not surprisingly these guests were the last arrivals at the fabulous breakfast the next morning.) And breakfast…delicious food (oh, that McDrift!), friendly and fast service, and that lovely dining room, all to ourselves. Perfection! The Windrift provided a stunningly beautiful beach front locale for the wedding and comfortable, beautiful lodging for our guests. Add in the fun factor along with friendly, attentive staff and service and the result is what we experienced: the perfect wedding weekend from start to finish. We will always be grateful!

This bar features a 50+ ft. marble bar with a direct ocean view - Not a view of the ocean with some homes in your way, I'm talking about you looking past dunes to the beach, to the ocean and to the horizon on a clear day. That long bar is the most amazing bar I have ever seen. Back to the wedding venue - you can either have your ceremony on the beach or their 3rd floor deck, which can transform from being open or enclosed and also has a great ocean view. The venue/banquet managers are super nice and professional and will absolutely make your reception perfect. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this venue if you like the beach at all. Even if you don't like the beach, the views of the shore will convert you.

star. I've been coming to Avalon in the summers since I was a child, and knew I wanted to get married on the beach, but beyond that, I wasn't sure what I wanted. One look at the Windrift's gorgeous second level was all I needed...the excellent food and drink options were icing on the cake! I worked with Rhonda and DeeDee, and they made my day absolutely PERFECT. No detail was overlooked, and I honestly didn't have to do a thing - they took care of everything. Many of my guests told me it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, which was in large part due to the Windrift. Nick coordinated all of our guests' rooms (we had 90 guests attendees, 88 of whom were not from NJ!), and no matter how last minute the requests, Nick accommodated everyone with a smile, even responding to my after-hours calls two days before the wedding to change my officiant's reservation. My went day went so much more perfectly than I ever could have dreamed, and I am so grateful to the Windrift for the large part it played in making it so.

The reception on the main level was absolutely beautiful, meticulously clean and polished. The food was to die for, again with a staff who always had a smile on their face and didn't overlook one thing. I would highly recommend The Windrift to any bride looking for a beautiful venue with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. It truly is an amazing dream come true venue. ld get ready and he was so amazing through out the entire experience! The ceremony was perfectly set up :) The food for the cocktail hour and reception were perfect everyone is still talking about it. Only problem was that in our food tasting I had chosen gray napkins and received blue on the tables at the reception... small but annoying problem. There reasoning was something the swatches don't match and I explained it was the proper color at the food tasting, there was barely an apology. Other than that everything was amazing until after the wedding when security called the police on one of our guests because they didn't believe they were of age after serving the guest all night at the wedding with no ID. When the ID was presented they believed it was fake but could have easily been remedied by approaching the groom or I. I believe the situation could have been handled in a better manner, without threatening our guest with removal from the hotel.

th an ocean view that no other venue can even compare to. We felt welcomed from the start when we met with Dee Dee(Windrift wedding organizer) to take an "official" tour of the venue with our family. All through our planning process and the actual wedding, everyone at The Windrift was helpful and accommodating. We especially loved working with Dee Dee, who was so genuine and sweet. Love her! Rhonda did a fabulous job of arranging our crazy seating chart to make enough room for our higher numbers, and Rick kept everything organized with the hotel accommodations. Everything ran smoothly and our wedding day couldn't have been better. We are still getting compliments from our guests, particularly about the venue, open bar selections, and food. The filets were all cooked perfectly medium-rare and tasted especially delish! This is the coolest and most convenient venue for a wedding. It's a "one stop shop" for you and your guests, with a beach or upper deck ceremony, awesome reception room, and beautiful hotel rooms. We are so happy with our wedding and give the highest recommendation for The Windrift. Many thanks to everyone there, you guys rock! Now, we can't wait to go back for a Tuesday Wing Night and relive our wedding fun!

anning a wedding. The tasting was outstanding. We felt like VIPs and the chef was open to suggestions too. The weekend of the wedding was fantastic. The staff was setting up for the wedding the night before and helped me to unload some of the items. The staff was accommodating and provided a low stress day for us. I was wowed when I finally saw the room for the wedding. The service and food was wonderful. Only negative is it is a bit pricy but its the shore. Thank you for an amazing wedding!

She responded quickly with all questions and concerns I had. When I made changes she handled it! The morning of the wedding DeeDee physically helped me cart all of my stuff into the reception space and the Windrift staff set everything up beautifully. I would highly recommend The Windrift to anyone and everyone! I thank them with my whole heart for making a little girl's dreams come true!!! The Windrift means so much to me and it always will.

and they do not do weddings during that time of year. Luckily, I was persistent and their staff was accommodating! Since my reception was small and entailed heavy hors devours and cocktails we were able to make it happen! I cannot say enough about the amazing staff. Since I am out of town there were a lot of emails that went back and forth, but all came together in the end. DeeDee, Paige, and the chef were all involved in the planning and had great ideas and input though out the planning as well as the night of the wedding. I could not ask for a better group of people to work with. As a control freak it was hard for me to let go of the reigns when it came to setting up the reception, but DeeDee and Paige did a perfect job! Everything was so beautiful and just the way I had planned it. My family is still talking about the delicious food and the fabulous beer choices! I will sure be a night to remember and I highly recommend the Windrift. In addition I do have to make one comment. Although I have given all five stars and I loved everyone I worked with directly I do have to state that the general manager, Peter, was not the best person to work with. I understand that he has rules,but when dealing with people he is not very polite and is rather rude. He said a lot of harsh comments to me that I will never forget. So if you do choose the Windrift try not to deal with him because he may take some of your joy away.

beyond to make the planning process easy and stress free; attending to every need and desire nothing was too much trouble. The the presentation of the food was fabulous and equally delicious. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Every guest felt taken care of by the attentive staff. I can not say enough superlatives about the Windrift and staff. They created the perfect day for us that we will cherish forever. I recommend without reservation this venue for your wedding for any season. We plan to have all of our future large events at the Windrft.

ding, without having to go very far. First, the space. AMAZING. The huge window looking out over the beach is absolutely breathtaking. The beautiful blue walls, hanging lights, and the wine room! The wine room was perfect for some amazing pictures! We did cocktail style all night, and the room was a perfect size. Second, the food. Delicious. The sushi, sliders, and seafood were just amazing. Just go eat here once and you'll fall in love with the food as well. The drinks! They kept pouring them and they were delicious! Never a line at the bar because the staff was that good. The staff was amazing the night of the wedding. Attentive and fun! so if you are looking for a beautiful wedding, with delicious food, great drinks, and the best party atmosphere, the Windrift is the perfect place!

As for the venue itself, there is nothing quite like staring at the ocean waves while watching the people you love the most share in your special day. We took photos on the beach, had a private cocktail hour with our wedding party on our own personal deck, danced the night away in a breathtaking hall, had a beautiful suite over looking the beach and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Perfect is possibly the only word fit to describe our wedding experience at the Windrift.
