York Flower Shop

chen has superior communication and her warm and understanding personality made me feel confident, excited, and reassured that she would execute my vision. My original vision was much more costly than I budgeted for; however Gretchen was able to advise me on how to essentially achieve the look I wanted for about 1/4 of the price. She is very upfront and reasonable when it comes to cost. She is willing to work with ALL budgets, which is very rare in the wedding industry nowadays. Gretchen is a true professional and was there the day of to ensure all vendors understood my vision. She also did our rehearsal dinner florals and encourage us to re-purpose as much as possible, which helped keep us in budget. The florals were STUNNING - I received so many compliments. See the pictures (captured by Jules from Scarlet Roots!) attached. Simply put, she is the best! Book them now!!

and brought it to life beautifully. We appreciated being able to sit down with them and create a plan together. They were so genuine and the flowers were absolutely stunning, lasting so long and making the day so beautiful.

standing, especially the arbor and bridal bouquet. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the flowers were. They delivery the day of was spot on and they kept in excellent communication throughout the process. We fully recommend using them for your big day!!!

ose exactly which pieces we wanted. So many other wedding florists require full service and minimum spends of $5k, $10k, etc. York Flower Shop didn’t, which was great for us because our package at the Union Bluff included centerpieces so we only needed a few things. We got bouquets for me and 7 bridesmaids; boutonnieres for all the guys; and corsages for mums, speakers, and grandmas all well under $2k. They took such care to understand what I wanted in my florals and when they arrived on the day, they were stunning and fit the theme perfectly. It was also great that they know the Union Bluff so well and were able to handle delivery so seamlessly. One tiny note would be that we were happier with the quality of the regular boutonnieres vs the pocket square boutonniere they made for the groom. Overall, we are so grateful for the role York Flower Shop played in our wedding!

finitely recommend York Flower Shop to others!

were stunning, exactly matching the color scheme, flowers, and style we wanted. Each centerpiece at the reception created an elegant atmosphere and our guests gushed over them. The team at York Flower Shop was incredibly professional and accommodating. They were responsive to our questions and flexible with any changes we requested. On our wedding day, everything was delivered and set up on time, without any stress on our part. If you're looking for a florist who will turn your wedding floral dreams into reality, I highly recommend York Flower Shop. They are truly passionate about their work and it shows in every arrangement they create.

xceed my expectations and they did! From my bouquet with special details, the cross ceremony display, and centerpieces, everything was absolutely beautiful! Gretchen and her team are a pleasure to work with and will not disappoint!

and made helpful suggestions along the way. They set up the florals at the venue perfectly. My bouquet along with the ones for my bridal party were beautiful! Highly recommend!

ssional from advising me on different types of flowers, steering me away from flowers that wouldn’t be in season and making suggestions on how to to elevate my ideas to the next level. Leading up to the day, they were incredible communicative, and helped guide me in the process of how to preserve the flowers, and what time they should be delivered to ensure that my flowers were the freshest they could be. On the day off, they were prompt, but also amazing in helping me on how to hold the flowers, how to add last minute decorations, and then even helped my husband and all his party put their flowers on. I got so many compliments throughout the night. York Flower Shop is a MUST BOOK for your wedding!

through my chaos and found my vision. Gold painted lemon leaves, tons of greenery, white orchids - all of it was absolutely stunning. I'm still in awe. They are all so sweet and very reasonably priced.

very easy. In discussing our vision with Christine she not only understood our esthetic, but she had many ideas on how to make it even better. And then came the day of our wedding and we were absolutely blown away by our florals – everything was STUNNING! Every arrangement, bouquet, and corsage was immaculate. We cannot recommend working with York Flower Shop enough – it was an incredible experience!

ces. Pricing was extremely reasonable, and Gretchen takes care to make sure your vision comes to life.

are organized and on top of the details so we always felt confident that they would be there for my daughter on her day!

g for. We worked with Gretchen and she was absolutely amazing. I gave criteria for what I was hoping my bouquet to look like and they exceeded my expectations- absolutely gorgeous with exactly the flowers and colors I was looking for. We told Gretchen what we were looking for and then she worked with us to fit it all within our budget. They were timely with the delivery of the flowers as well on the wedding morning. Everything was perfect!

It was slightly different than we expected and we had to the pin the flowers to the bridesmaids purses ourselves but perhaps there was a miscommunication there. Regardless, everyone’s flowers were beautiful and I would definitely recommend York Flower Shop as they are accommodating, flexible, and will create your vision whether you’re a simple bride like me or a Pinterest bride with detailed centerpieces.

had. After agreeing on a general color palette, I handed the reins over to Gretchen and let her work her magic. What Gretchen and her team provided for our wedding was beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. On top of that, our final quote was very reasonable, especially compared to other florists in the area. We would not hesitate to use them again for future events!

OBSESSED. I had tons of complements from guests too! I also met Christine who delivered my flowers in perfect condition. Highly recommend!!!

ion with them, but Gretchen took what I thought was my vision and totally elevated it! The flowers that we received on the actual wedding day totally exceeded my expectations, I never knew wedding flowers could even be that gorgeous. Gretchen was also kind enough to carve time out of her busy schedule to record a video for me to show me how to arrange my centerpieces when we made the decision to forgo set-up and delivery to save some money. She totally went above and beyond when she had no obligation to, and we appreciated this so much. I also appreciated that they never pressured us to spend more money, and even gave us some cost-cutting tips when they had them. We got so many compliments from our guests about the flowers, which I don't believe is something wedding guests commonly comment on. That's how amazing they were! You cannot go wrong with using YFS for your wedding day.

nd were responsive with communication! Very helpful they did the venue before!

ess they spoke to me and my mom multiple times over the phone. I wasn't able to go there because of the pandemic, but did send pictures. Based on what we talked about over the phone they made absolutely beautiful bouquets and centerpieces. They also have lots of rentals available! I couldn't be happier!

d Christine pretty little direction and they 100% nailed my vision! When they delivered my bouquet I think my actual words were “I’m obsessed”. It was even better than I could have imagined when I walked into the reception space. Beautiful! They made everything so easy, their communication was awesome and they gave me a very reasonable quote. My guests each have a flower arrangement in the rooms of their beach house and the flowers are just as beautiful 3 days later. Their shop in York is also super cute and I will be visiting them for flowers each time I come back. Thank you so much for everything!

a pleasure to work with. The arrangements were more beautiful than I imagined on our wedding day. Thanks for making our day a dream come true!

nt of flowers(COVID restrictions, etc.). Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous and the reception space, as well as the church, was so well decorated by this team. I can’t say enough about this flower shop! Definitely book them they will bring your wedding dreams to life! Thank you Christine!!

I liked only one aspect of the arrangement (one flower in the arrangement, or just the bouquet size but not the flowers), and she did such an amazing job of integrating all of those things into a cohesive look for our wedding. I routinely tell people that the flowers turned out more beautiful that I could have ever imagined.

The staff is quick, friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. We worked with Gretchen, and she was so patient and helpful, I must have called her more than a dozen times before the big day just asking questions and making sure details were nailed down, and she was so reassuring and calmed my nerves. DAZZLING arrangements, corsages, and boots; they really brought my visions to life, and a lot of the flowers stayed alive for weeks after the wedding, which were awesome to keep around.

sed! They worked with my budget and large bridal party, and really brought to life my vision. I highly recommend them for any flower needs!

had a vision! On the actual wedding day the flowers came out even better than I had imagined, so full and beautiful! YFS was also incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them!

. Everything looked great - highly recommend if you are getting married in the area.

they were offered in. Then I met the ladies at York Flower Shop and everything changed. When i left I felt a huge weight lifted from my shoulders and was extremely excited for my big day to come! Christine listened to every detail and created a bridal bouquet for me that was above and beyond my expectations. She knew everything there was to know about flowers. All of the details from the centerpieces, the flowers at our ceremony site, bouquets and boutonnieres, and the flowers on our cake were stunning! The staff were nice and seemed thrilled to be working with my husband and I, and the price was right on budget. We cannot thank York Flower Shop enough!

yone needing flowers, thank you!

res for my wedding were absolutely stunning and every detail was perfect. We couldn’t be happier.

ails so I put my trust in Gretchen. And it was a great decision! Gretchen's knowledge of florals, herbs, etc. is amazing and she nailed the aesthetic I was going for. My bouquets were beautiful and she included some unique flowers and colors. I also loved how she incorporated greens and even basil into my centerpieces - they smelled great even a week or so after the wedding! Gretchen and York Flower Shop are professional, responsive, know their stuff and just make beautiful arrangements. Best of all, Gretchen did everything within my budget and it was very reasonably priced. Book these ladies early as they get booked up and now I know why!

oughout. I showed Christine a few pictures I had found online and she was able to create an entire look and feel that was exactly what I wanted (but I didn't know how to get there on my own!). Knowing flowers are a big expense, I was nervous to hear the final number after our initial consultation and Christine could tell I was apprehensive when talking about extras. The best thing (other than their amazing "eye" for beautiful flowers) is they're willingness to work with any budget and their advice on reusing flowers from the ceremony to the reception to help the money go further! They also let us provide out own vases which saved some dollars as well. The end result felt nothing less than top notch. I would recommend York Flower Shop to any one and everyone! My bouquet was so beautiful, it had both my mom and myself crying the first time we saw it! Thank you so much, Christine and team. You made our day truly beautiful!!

d to my vision, and offered advice and options within my budget. She had a great professional knowledge of what would be appropriate for the season and was able to offer even more ideas. York Flower Shop did all the bouquets, as well as the boutineers for the guys, and some posies for the moms and grandmothers. They also put together some multi-function pieces, such as small flower arrangements that hung from shepherds hooks for the ceremony outside which were then were brought inside for table decorations, and the long piece that went over the arbor outside, which they made into 3 pieces and were able to drape on 3 different tables (including our sweetheart table) once the ceremony was over. The flowers and greenery came out beautifully and were everything we had imagined. (The only thing my mom didn’t love was that the posies came out bigger than she wanted. Apparently she only wanted a few stems, but they turned into small bouquets. I think she was just afraid of feeling like a bridesmaid haha!) All in all, extremely happy with York Flower Shop’s work!

to do everything myself, and hired them to make the top of our centerpieces for our wedding at Stage Neck Inn on Memorial Day Weekend 2017. I had a general idea of what I needed, and they helped with the final small details to make it PERFECT!!! Delivered, set up and it was amazing and stress free! Did I mention they were very fair on their price too. You will not be let down with this pick!!! Best in York Maine!!!

the staff!!! The flowers were so amazing and colorful!! We were so pleased and would highly recommend them!

nd boutonnieres! By far, the best florists in southern Maine!

he ceremony and reception center pieces. She was very flexible and responsive during the final process. The flowers at both the ceremony and reception were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I couldn't have been more pleased.

The church flowers, centerpieces, and bridesmaid bouquets were absolutely perfect! Thank you Gretchen and York flower shop!!

ame out absolutely beautiful. York Flower Shop was very easy to work with, they delivered flowers to the church, my hotel, and the reception to make everything easy on our part and the flowers were gorgeous. I received many compliments on the arrangements. Thanks Christine!!!

LED it! Not only was the work amazing, but she made herself available for anything we needed including giving my mom her personal contact information to use on the day of the wedding - just in case. Couldn't recommend York Flower Shop more. We loved working with them.

sidered. She was also really good at explaining different things to me. I do not know much about flowers and she was willing to teach us about our different options. By the end of the consult, we had everything set and I knew our wedding would be beautiful. A few weeks before we touched base on final details. I asked for two baby's breath crowns for my flower girls and two large flowers for my maids of honor to be added to the order and she was totally flexible with this change. The day of we loved everything. We had ordered bouquets, boutonnieres, clutches for our moms, corsages for grandparents, ceremony flowers, and reception centerpieces. It was all done so beautifully and I felt like it was unique to our wedding which made the flowers seem that much more special. We really appreciate everything YSF did!
