So many other wedding florists require full service and minimum spends of $5k, $10k, etc. York Flower Shop didn’t, which was great for us because our package at the Union Bluff included centerpieces so we only needed a few things. We got bouquets for me and 7 bridesmaids; boutonnieres for all the guys; and corsages for mums, speakers, and grandmas all well under $2k. They took such care to understand what I wanted in my florals and when they arrived on the day, they were stunning and fit the theme perfectly. It was also great that they know the Union Bluff so well and were able to handle delivery so seamlessly. One tiny note would be that we were happier with the quality of the regular boutonnieres vs the pocket square boutonniere they made for the groom. Overall, we are so grateful for the role York Flower Shop played in our wedding!

It was slightly different than we expected and we had to the pin the flowers to the bridesmaids purses ourselves but perhaps there was a miscommunication there. The flowers that we received on the actual wedding day totally exceeded my expectations, I never knew wedding flowers could even be that gorgeous. Gretchen was also kind enough to carve time out of her busy schedule to record a video for me to show me how to arrange my centerpieces when we made the decision to forgo set-up and delivery to save some money. She totally went above and beyond when she had no obligation to, and we appreciated this so much. I also appreciated that they never pressured us to spend more money, and even gave us some cost-cutting tips when they had them. We got so many compliments from our guests about the flowers, which I don't believe is something wedding guests commonly comment on. That's how amazing they were! You cannot go wrong with using YFS for your wedding day.

I liked only one aspect of the arrangement (one flower in the arrangement, or just the bouquet size but not the flowers), and she did such an amazing job of integrating all of those things into a cohesive look for our wedding. I routinely tell people that the flowers turned out more beautiful that I could have ever imagined.

The staff is quick, friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. We worked with Gretchen, and she was so patient and helpful, I must have called her more than a dozen times before the big day just asking questions and making sure details were nailed down, and she was so reassuring and calmed my nerves. DAZZLING arrangements, corsages, and boots; they really brought my visions to life, and a lot of the flowers stayed alive for weeks after the wedding, which were awesome to keep around.

Knowing flowers are a big expense, I was nervous to hear the final number after our initial consultation and Christine could tell I was apprehensive when talking about extras. The best thing (other than their amazing "eye" for beautiful flowers) is they're willingness to work with any budget and their advice on reusing flowers from the ceremony to the reception to help the money go further! They also let us provide out own vases which saved some dollars as well. The end result felt nothing less than top notch. I would recommend York Flower Shop to any one and everyone! My bouquet was so beautiful, it had both my mom and myself crying the first time we saw it! Thank you so much, Christine and team. You made our day truly beautiful!!

York Flower Shop did all the bouquets, as well as the boutineers for the guys, and some posies for the moms and grandmothers. They also put together some multi-function pieces, such as small flower arrangements that hung from shepherds hooks for the ceremony outside which were then were brought inside for table decorations, and the long piece that went over the arbor outside, which they made into 3 pieces and were able to drape on 3 different tables (including our sweetheart table) once the ceremony was over. The flowers and greenery came out beautifully and were everything we had imagined. (The only thing my mom didn’t love was that the posies came out bigger than she wanted. Apparently she only wanted a few stems, but they turned into small bouquets. I think she was just afraid of feeling like a bridesmaid haha!) All in all, extremely happy with York Flower Shop’s work!
