From the first moment we spoke with Paula when looking for a wedding planner, we knew she would be perfect for our special day. Her immediate care for us as a couple, unconditional support, guidance, attention to detail and the skill and love for her craft was clear throughout our entire year of communication (and beyond our wedding day). She is a true professional in every way, from managing us as clients and our vendors (who she knows of MANY and all adore and admire her), to ensuring every small and big detail was accounted for and making sure we were happy and calm throughout the entire process. Her emails and calls always brighten our days and made us feel calm and supported in both the smoothest and the most stressful days. Her consistent communication, scheduling and management of every detail (and there were many!) was outstanding. Paula always made us feel at ease, finding a solution to anything that came our way throughout the entire process and most importantly the day of. I’ve been thinking of what to write for my review for quite some time and I still cannot put into words how simply incredible of a person and planner Paula is.
Paula is one of the best people we have ever met, period. She led us, our vendors,...
and her team through 2 reschedulings due to COVID-19, and produced the most beautiful wedding beyond anything we ever could have imagined.
Paula is patient, kind, and so humble. Please do take my word on this because as a licensed therapist with a decade of experience, I consider myself to be a fair judge of character.
There were so many times when she easily could have fired us (and it would’ve been fair); we didn’t mean to be, but we were bridezilla and groomzilla. We’re perfectionists and both work minimum of 50hrs/week and our work became super busy in the month before the wedding. We worked with her over the course of THREE years and never once was she rude or unprofessional despite the fact that there was a global pandemic occurring that threw the wedding industry upside down and sideways. The other vendors only ever had wonderful things to say about her too.
Paula’s skills speak for herself and can be viewed on her website, but what you can’t easily see is that she is so hard working and thinks of details I’ve never heard of! My aunt has unobtainably high standards and was a bit high maintenance at the wedding and even she was impressed by Paula!
In sum, if you’re on the fence, call her and see for yourself. Paula, if you see this we love you and our next fluffy child better be adorable because they’re going to be named Paul or Paula in your honor! (No, we’re not kidding.)

Paula made the wedding planning process stress free and fun. She thoughtfully planned out all the decisions we had to make, and stepped in on details that we didn’t want to think about, it was a breeze and we got to enjoy what mattered most: getting married and partying with family and friends.
Hiring Paula was the best decision we made for our wedding. She is not only incredibly kind, caring, and communicative, but also extremely effective and organized. Every single vendor we spoke to went out of their way to tell us how much they respected her as the best among all the planners they have worked with.
The day before the wedding, there was an impending catastrophe that would have threatened a big part of the day. Paula and her team went above and beyond to handle the issue, and we blissfully didn’t even know about it until after the wedding. Paula made sure that we were focused on the joy of the day itself while she averted the crisis for us. This was such a testament to the abilities and professionalism of Paula and her team.

dding. From our first phone call, we knew she would be amazing to work with, and she we couldn’t have imagined just how amazing. Every detail was perfect and better than the last- from her amazing table settings, to special details we didn't even know were coming, the day was beyond everything we hoped for. She helped us coordinate all the signage and the calligrapher, and our guests commented how beautiful it all was! The venue looked even more beautiful than we imagined, and the day of, she was able to implement a few backup plans that I didn't even know were in place, but she had worked on with all the vendors in advance. Even a few days after the event, she is still providing guidance and support to us!
Paula was also so kind, patient and thoughtful throughout the entire process, and was a calming and guiding force for us in the best way possible. She truly had an uncanny ability to know when we were starting to freak out, and were able to reach out with a kind email or just the right advice to calm us down and focus on what was most important.

Never before had this estate been used for a big event (which spanned across acres of land). This was without a doubt a ground up build of an event that brought, what some may think were a variety of challenges. But, never once did Paula Smith & her team make it feel that way. Paula's expertise, confidence & skills were unmatchable. With her natural creativity, impeccable attention to detail, unwavering work ethic, strong support & 24/7 communication (for us, as well as the vendors), and above all her strong positivity, made this wedding planning an absolute dream! Paula was always available when you needed her. She most certainly handled far more than I was even visible to. Another aspect which i never realised would be so important, was her ability to help focus and guide you on the process and address topics when necessary. Paulas network of vendors and contacts was a huge help when it came to figuring out who to hire for certain aspects of the wedding. Every single vendor hired through Paula went above and beyond and was also an integral part of the wedding going so perfectly.
Paula also had a plethora of rentals from card boxes, signs and any other item you may need for the wedding on top of her also being an amazing graphic designer. Paulas graphic design skills were so incredible and helpful when it came to making signage, ceremony pamphlets and helping with menus to place on tables.

Due to Paula's quick thinking and swift action, we were able to keep the same venue and all but two of our original vendors, and she immediately helped us find replacements for the two that weren't available for our new wedding date.
Paula truly brought our vision to life with her unparalleled design eye and meticulous attention to detail. My husband and I are very Type A people, but we didn't know anything about creative design. Paula instantly understood the vision we were going for and executed it flawlessly. We also engaged Paula to help us design our save the dates and wedding day signage, which of course turned out exactly how we wanted.
Throughout all of the chaos of the pandemic, Paula was our rock. She was always calm, cool, and collected and knew exactly what to do, even during an unprecedented global crisis. She goes above and beyond for her clients and always gives 110% effort to make sure every detail falls into place perfectly.
After witnessing Paula in action during our wedding weekend, my friends and family are convinced that Paula is a miracle worker. Throughout the entire wedding weekend, Paula and her fantastic team instantly took care of every detail and expertly solved any minor issue that came up. My husband and I were able to completely immerse ourselves in the experience of getting married without worrying about a single thing, and that in and of itself is priceless.
I originally thought that I didn't need a wedding planner, and now I couldn't imagine wedding planning without Paula! eed a planner of our own. We could not have been more wrong! By 2 weeks before the date, we were beyond stressed at realizing how many little things still needed to be decided, and getting really frustrated at how the venue was communicating. We reached out to Paula, and she graciously agreed to swoop in at the last minute and figure things out. Within a few days she had already visited the venue and gently clarified things there, and been in touch with all the vendors and started working things through. We were in total decision fatigue and she helped us make all the choices, plus troubleshooted and foolproofed things we hadn't known to think of, and suggested alternatives that hadn't occurred to us for, for instance, finding a far nicer location for the cocktail hour on property. She was a huge stress reliever on day of wedding as well, making sure everyone was on time for the ceremony and getting family members wrangled and dealing with logistical hiccups. Just one example: as soon as the hair and makeup team arrived and started running hair dryers and such...a fuse blew. Paula--rather than the bride or groom!--was the one who hunted down hotel staff and handyman and had it taken care of. And after the ceremony, she made sure we were relaxing for a few minutes in our suite (with drinks and plate full of appetizers), while she was making sure cocktail hour got up and running. By far the best money we spent on our wedding and totally worth the modest extra cost , because ultimately, we were truly able to actually enjoy the day thanks to her!

She helped us book all key vendors in just two weeks after our first conversation, which was so crucial since we were just 6 months from the wedding date and everything was getting booked quickly. She handled key vendor communications and got everyone to show up on time and do their part. She nudged us to get a contingency rain tent, which came in handy when it started raining during our ceremony!
Most importantly, she kept everyone calm on day of and reminded us to take in the key moments, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Paula's design services were also stunning -- we got lots of compliments about the wedding invitation calligraphy, the signage around the wedding, and place cards.

Paula has the kind of personality that makes you love working with her. Wedding planning is something she clearly loves and is passionate about, and her positive energy is contagious. She also has a soothing, calming presence. Even in the most stressful moments, she was calm, cool, and collected and passed that vibe onto us.
Paula is selfless and extremely dedicated to her clients. She always goes above and beyond to ensure we have the best experience possible. COVID-19 caused us to reschedule our wedding until 2021 - a couple’s worst nightmare. She calmly helped us think through the right time to make the decision to postpone while the world was in total chaos, and once we did, she made rebooking a breeze. She contacted all of our vendors to figure out a date that would work for everybody, and within a matter of days we had our new wedding date with all but one of our vendors intact. In addition to helping with logistics, she was very in tune with our emotional needs during that incredibly difficult time. She saved us so much heartache and money! We couldn’t imagine going through that devastating, stressful process without Paula’s steadfast, compassionate, and level-headed support.
Throughout the entire planning process, she knew when to push us to keep things moving and when to give us a little space to step back from the stress of planning. She understands that there are other things going on in our lives and adjusts her schedule around our needs rather than keeping us on a rigid schedule.
Paula also has a fantastic design eye! She instantly understood our vision from our very first phone call and knew how to translate it into an event in ways that we would have been unable to do on our own. She has worked directly with our vendors to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted without us having to think about all of the minor details, allowing us to focus on just the fun parts of planning our wedding.
Paula has a great rolodex of vendor relationships. For each vendor we needed to hire, she presented us with a variety of options at different price points. If none of the options appealed to us, she was happy to go back to the drawing board and find even more options.
We cannot recommend Paula and Your Event strongly enough! While we are disappointed that we have to wait another year to get married, we are thrilled that we get to work with Paula for longer than we expected! We know that Paula is going to make our wedding vision come to life in 2021, and we already can’t wait to hire her for future events!

The stakes were very high on this job as it was a very complex event and I was going to be away the week prior through the actual event; she was in effect stepping into my shoes.
