Carmen Huff studied journalism as an undergraduate and interned with multiple publications during college. After interning with The Knot, she secured an Editorial Assistant position with the brand after graduation. Carmen spent a year writing content for The Knot before entering into the legal field. In 2018, Carmen started law school. She will receive her Doctor of Law degree in 2021.

Experience

During undergraduate, Carmen worked as an Editorial Intern for Louisville Magazine (Bride and Eats), Indianapolis Monthly, The Knot, and Bloom Magazine. After graduating she was hired as a Real Weddings Editorial Assistant for The Knot. She spent one year in the position before starting to transition to law. She worked as a Paralegal for Wilson Elser before entering law school. While attending American University’s Washington College of Law, Carmen has interned with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office and U.S. District Court and volunteered with the U.S. Department of Justice. Carmen is currently working as a Law Clerk for Wilson Elser.

Education

Carmen received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington. She is currently attending American University’s Washington College of Law.
