Kim writes for The Knot Worldwide, focusing on the best places to propose, ideas about how to pop the question and helping couples decide how best to celebrate their wedding journey. She believes in happy endings and takes joy in assisting lovebirds to create memories that will last a lifetime.
While Kim was born and raised in Maryland and knows her way around a blue crab and Old Bay, she currently lives near the coast in sunny South Carolina with her family. When she’s not feeding her backyard birds and squirrels, you can find her reading a book, walking amongst the live oaks and palm trees and making memories with her kids.
Experience
Ever since she can remember, Kim has been a writer. She started by writing poetry and songs as an angsty teen but developed her craft as she grew and began writing stories to read to her children. While raising her family, Kim started hearing the call of the pen once again. Diving in, she has amassed an extensive portfolio and developed her chops writing for countless publications about finance, business, home and garden, entertainment, nature, travel and weddings. Kim also has a decade of editing experience, helping budding writers hone their skills.
Education
Kim is a graduate of Villa Julie College in Stevenson, Maryland. She majored in accounting and finance with a minor in English. Kim went on to build a career at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore before leaving the corporate life to build a family while diving into one of her interests that didn’t involve a green eyeshade or numbers—writing.
