Rachel Sylvester is an editor with experience covering fashion, weddings, and lifestyle. She has spent her editorial career working for The Knot and Real Simple. Her writing has also been published in Marie Claire, Women's Health, Food & Wine, Southern Living, Travel Pulse, and The Nest. She has appeared on Good Morning America, Fox 29 News, Yahoo! Finance, and Good Morning Arizona. In her current Real Simple position, she covers everything from Meghan Markle to the most coveted shoes of the season. Rachel is a Detroit native now on the unofficial hunt for Manhattan’s best bowl of ramen.
Experience
Rachel interned with 944 Magazine, Glamour, Marie Claire, and ELLE while attending Michigan State University. After graduation she was hired as an Editorial Assistant for The Knot. She spent nearly two years in this position before being promoted to Associate Editor. After over three years Rachel was promoted again to Real Weddings Editor. In 2018, Rachel was hired as a Digital Lifestyle Editor for Real Simple. Within two years she was promoted to her current Senior Editor position. She helps edit and create daily content for the brand’s digital platform.

Rachel graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
