Sallie Krawcheck is the CEO and co-founder of Ellevest. She is also the Chair of the Ellevate Network, a global professional women’s network. With about 40 years of experience in her discipline, she has earned the title of “the Most Powerful Woman on Wall Street.”
Sallie is a mom of two and currently lives in New York City with her husband, Gary Appel.
Experience
Sallie entered the world of Wall Street in the early 1980s, rising to CFO of Citigroup, then CEO of Citi Wealth Management. She is also, notably, the former head of Bank of America's Global Wealth and Investment Management division. In 2016, she launched Ellevest, a digital financial advisor for women. Her life’s mission is to help women to reach their financial and professional goals.
Education
Sallie received her B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She obtained her M.B.A. from Columbia University.
