f our wedding planner, we met with Barrie and the rest is beautifully captured history for generations to come. She knew exactly what to do for the first couple's playful & adventurous spirits, and the second couple's love of animals (especially goats!) and their favorite hobbies. Swooning over the engagement photos gave me goosebumps knowing what the wedding photos would entail and she certainly did not disappoint. Epic and emotional shots, breathtaking scenery and subtle moments for us to glimpse the tenderness of brides & grooms, joy in our guests faces, tributes to our lovely and creative decor. The finished albums are works of art and many of her photos have been published! Talent with the camera aside, Barrie is a delight to work with. She gets the shots without being intrusive, she's sweet and caring, tireless, and was never opposed to any suggestion or request we asked of her. Be sure to have a list of the pictures you want most, and she will fill in the rest. Once the first wedding was over, I didn't even need to consider anyone else. She was part of the family by then. Later, she photographed the first couples pregnancy announcement and will be taking the baby's portfolio shots now that he's here. Again, I have goosebumps of anticipation knowing how precious they will be! I wouldn't hesitate to work with Barrie, ever. In fact, we barely noticed her and I mean that in a good way! She was professional, extremely open to our ideas, beyond patient and an overall wonderful person to be around. lped us warm up to being in front of a camera since we both were relatively shy. I'd suggest you make a list of photos that are a must and give them to Barrie in advance so she can prepare for them. Looking back, I wish there were more photos of my dresses and photos of the wedding venue. I love details, and Barrie did an amazing job at capturing them. I am so grateful for how easy going she was and how she was genuinely interested in every aspect of the wedding. I did extensive research on photographers and after looking at several of their albums, I could see they were all the same. However, all of Barrier's photo albums are slightly different with no two similar themes. She sticks with the tried and true, but also goes beyond it to make the photos truly unique to the couple. We are so happy with our photos that we were thinking of hiring Barrie again for future special occasions. We like to stick with what we know is quality. Barrie is a gift to treasure!
