Casual gourmet provided the most delicious wedding cake for our wedding at Ocean Edge. The cake was so beautiful and so delicious. All of our guests could not believe how moist and flavorful it was. We can't wait to order another cake from casual gourmet in the future to reenact our wedding cake! Delicious lemon with raspberry jam filling and butter cream frosting!!!!

Olive and Patty know their stuff and were very helpful in educating us about everything needed to host a 200 person wedding. The food was delicious, all of our guests were raving about it.

I would recommend casual gourmet to any friend, stranger, family member for any catering need. Mary was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, to our food tasting, to our peak event rental order, to the day of coordination. Not only was the coordination and organization of our wedding day amazing, but the food was delicious. Many of my wedding guests came up to me and raved about how delicious their meals were. And not to mention our wedding cake! They were able to encompass my vision so perfectly! From coordination, to service, to food, and everything in between- casual gourmet has you covered.

The absolute best decision ever made was booking with Casual Gourmet, Mary and the rest of the team! They ( Mary) made the wedding be as perfect as ever. I don’t think I was too much of a particular bride, but Mary made the vision in my head come to life. My family who traveled in from out of town ( the U.S.) was raving about her professionalism, dedication, care and said if they could book her in Jamaica they would. Any other function that I need a catering team will without a doubt be with them. Thank you thank you ! The Casual Gourmet are true professionals who made us feel right at home. We knew we were in the right hands from the start. Olive captured our vision and executed with an exemplary staff. Their service was impeccable, the food was remarkable, and the presentation represented who we are and everything we wanted. Every detail was layed out with excellent care and the process was seamless. They were communicative and responsive - always working with expertise and kindness. CG did not disappoint and we would recommend them without doubt.

From first meeting to event clean-up, Casual Gourmet was top notch. We had our event at a private residence and given some ongoing construction leading up to the event, it was challenging to pinpoint how everything was going to come together until the very end. Mary, and the entire Casual Gourmet team, worked with us at every bend to make sure everything went off without a hitch. The food was excellent and the service top notch day of. Highly recommend!

If you need a caterer, Casual Gourmet is the team to go with! Working with Mary and her team for our wedding was the greatest decision we ever made! With their variety of food options and knowledge of what was in season for our date, we created a killer menu. We had a raw bar, a great buffet of options from fish to beef and great passed appetizers. Mary was always on time to our meetings, very responsive to every email, and even came to our rehearsal walkthrough so everyone was prepared on the actual day. Mary and her team MADE OUR DAY! Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have done it without them!

We worked with the team at Casual Gourmet for our wedding in June 2023. Mary, Olive, and the entire team were great to work with. They were very helpful coordinating our wedding day, and planing in the lead up. Mary helped us coordinate with all our other vendors to develop a schedule and ensured everything went smoothly. The extended team of chefs, wait staff, and bartenders were all very accommodating to and professional with our guests. The team has a lot of experience with a range of venues and vendors across the Cape, which was a great resource for us. The food at our event was good, especially the appetizers.

Casual Gourmet made our wedding cake for ~90 guests. They were super responsive and easy to work with. They have a to-go cake tasting option which was super cute--they give you a slice of 9 or so flavor combos in a to-go box, which made for a nice picnic date with my fiance. Later, we gave them a Pinterest image for inspiration, and they were able to almost exactly replicate it! It looked stunning and more importantly, tasted amazing. Unfortunately, they didn't have delivery available for our date so we had to pick up the cake ourselves.

We hired Casual for our Highfield Hall wedding and they crushed it from day one. We were able to customize our menu with the many options they offer to create a menu perfect for us. Ellen is such a delight and you want Olive on your team, everything was thorough and coordinated perfectly. People were raving about the appetizers, dinner and dessert was delicious! We also hired them for brunch and went a bit off menu, it was a great send-off for our guests. A huge thanks to the Casual team!!

Incredible. They're perfect, and no one better to go with for a wedding on Cape Cod. Amazing food, amazing service. Can't say enough about how professional and fantastic they are!!

The team at Casual Gourmet is everything you could want in a wedding caterer, coordinator, and staff and so much more. We worked with Ellen and Mary for the tasting and planning and Deb and Ellen as our day of coordinators who ensured that everything was smooth and perfect for the wedding day. Our outdoor wedding took place on one of the hottest and most humid days of the year—from the moment the ceremony concluded, the Casual Gourmet team had wine, signature drinks and water flowing. I loved that the food is locally sourced and, as someone with a gluten allergy, that the GF options were endless. Our guests have continued to rave about all the food—from the passed appetizers, to the steak or scallops with risotto and the vegan/vegetarian meal options. Their coordination services, bartenders, and servers provide everything you need to feel relaxed and confident that your day will be executed with the amount of care and attention you have planning it. I cannot recommend them enough—the only downside is you will continue to think about the food for weeks to come!

We recently used this caterer for our wedding at the Heritage Museums and Gardens. Leading up to the event, we planned everything with Lisa and it was lovely. The day before the wedding, we met the day off coordinator Deb. The rehearsal was a little chaotic but thorough. The timeline was thrown off a little bit on the day off due to guests taking a little longer than usual to be sat. This caused the catering company to not feed my photographer (which was in my contract), their reason being “we need to keep the food hot”. So, I paid for a meal that was not given- no refund. Upon me expressing that they were causing me (the bride) stress, they were apologetic. We did buffet style, so the food was served to us at our sweetheart table. We were not given the sauce for the beef and the food was room temperature. It did taste good and we got a lot of compliments on the food. I didn’t have time to taste the cake at the event but the cake at the tasting was delicious. The appetizers that I was able to have at the event were delicious. The “suggested gratuity” posted on the contract was a bit presumptuous and we felt pressured to give that amount, even though many errors were made. For decor- they did a pretty good job following all of my directions but failed to allot time to tie the precut tulle on the garden chairs, which was then a waste of my time and money. When my mother in law offered to tie them, the coordinator threw her hands up and said “well we don’t know if they will be able to get more than half done”. That was a bit disheartening. All in all, the food was pretty good but for the price I would have expected better service day of.

Very easy to work with! We were not local so we coordinated over the phone and through email. Our cake was delicious, all of our guests enjoyed it and so did we!

The cutest and most delicious part of our wedding. We had a small one tier DELICIOUS GLUTEN FREE CAKE decorated with sugar and real flowers on top of cupcakes! I could not believe how delicious the gluten free cake and cupcakes were. We can't thank you enough!!! Go here for lunch AND hire them for your wedding!

Ellen, Lisa, and Olive were stretched to their limits this 2021 wedding season and were able to over deliver on service and culinary expertise on our wedding day. I believe this is due to their seasoned expertise in wedding catering. We were very pleased with the quality and taste of the food from the hors d'oeuvres, to the salads, to the main courses! We were not disappointed!! Not to mention that they are a one stop shop when it comes to ordering linens. Lastly, although we had some confusion in the beginning regarding a special drink, we worked through it and were able to serve the drink to our guest who are still raving about it and their amazing bartenders.

My husband and I worked with the Casual Gourmet for our wedding in September in Wellfleet and could not recommend them enough! When planning our event, food was one of the most important things to us... we love to eat and wanted to provide our guests with a high quality, elevated, delicious meal that also felt very "Cape Cod." The Casual Gourmet team was absolutely fantastic to work with. Mary Lyons (Di Renzo) helped with the planning and the tasting and Deb (not sure last name) was our day of planner. They were both so organized, communicative and professional. The service throughout the night was flawless and the food came out hot! We got many compliments and there were LOTS of clean plates. The appetizers were also incredible!! Mini lobster rolls and a raw bar!! We were in heaven. We truly had the best day and Casual Gourmet helped bring our vision to life!

Olive and Ellen were incredible to work with. From the get go, it was clear that Olive was a seasoned professional. She had catered many weddings at our wedding venue, and truthfully helped us outline the entire timeline of our wedding day, which was incredibly helpful. We loved working with her create a menu that our guests would love, and our taste testing before COVID was so much fun and delicious. It was so hard to decide what to serve at our wedding because everything was just that good. Despite having to postpone our party several times due to COVID, Olive and Ellen were supportive, patient, and great communicators, and they were determined to make our October party our dream come true. The food at the reception was absolutely delicious – from the passed appetizers (lamb lollipops, mac n’ cheese tartlets, lobster rolls to name a few) to the entrees (sliced sirloin and panko haddock) to our incredible funfetti / marble wedding cake. Our guests are still raving about the food. The drinks were fabulous. The servers were absolute professionals. Carolyn, our day of coordinator made sure our wedding day was smooth in its entirety. It’s been 2 months since our wedding, and our guests are still raving about the food! Working with casual gourmet was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From our initial tasting, then having to postpone a year due to Covid, to finally having our dream day - they were phenomenal throughout the process. The service on the day of was outstanding. Everyone was punctual, professional, and so kind to all of our friends and family. We can’t recommend them enough!

Everything was absolutely perfect at both the pre-wedding clambake and the wedding reception itself. The team was extremely professional, both in their promptness, kindness, knowledge...it was like a miracle from start to finish. Mary, who coordinated the events, is absolutely the greatest. Not a detail was forgotten or missed. I recommend this group 150%.

Olive and her team at the Casual Gourmet went above and beyond. Olive was knowledgeable with the ever changing landscape of hosting a wedding during COVID times, and made sure our day ran so smoothly. Her and her staff were professional and attentive during the event. On top of all that, the food is OUTSTANDING! All of our guests raved about everything from passed appetizers, dinners and the cupcakes. Olive and her team were a dream to work with and I can’t say enough good things about them!

Mary and the Casual Gourmet were amazing to work with ! They were very flexible with us and our changing plans throughout the pandemic. Very easy to communicate with, very organized, and very helpful with tying together all the pieces of wedding planning- they have so much experience in the wedding industry so it was really helpful to have their advice. The food and the service were AMAZING. All of our guests commented on how great they were! Many guests saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding (which as the bride I might be biased but I agree !). All the servers were so friendly and very efficient. Mary kept our day running smoothly and had everything under control. I felt like I could really relax and not worry about a thing because she was there ! Really amazing overall- great to work with start to finish- and I would highly recommend !

We hired the Casual Gourmet for our October 2020 "microwedding" for 35 guests and they were amazing!! The food was delicious and there were so many options to choose from; the staff were total professionals and took the utmost health and safety precautions; and the cake was amazing and decorated beautifully! Our guests were so impressed that they cooked such warm, delicious and elaborate meals for 35 people in an outdoor tent on a chilly night and didn't miss a beat with serving appetizers, cocktails and wine to everyone since we couldn't have a bar. Mary was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire (stressful!) process of essentially planning a 'new' wedding in 3 months. They have a stellar reputation on Cape Cod for a reason. I'd highly recommend the Casual Gourmet to anyone planning a wedding!!

I cannot say enough about Casual Gourmet!! Olive and her staff were absolutely above and beyond amazing. Everyone RAVED about the food, drinks, and service! This was truly a beautiful, special, one of a kind day. Everyone felt so safe and comfortable during Covid, and I am so happy we chose them as our caterer! The meals are one of a kind delicious, the service is superior, and the drinks are delicious! No one will leave your wedding hungry! The Covid requirements were followed impeccably close, and everyone felt incredibly safe. We are beyond happy with our wedding, and recommend to everyone!

Working with The Casual Gourmet was hands down the smartest wedding decision we made and led to a perfect wedding day. Olive and Mary were incredibly easy to communicate and work with, especially when it came to navigating COVID. Mary acted as our wedding coordinator and was perfectly organized and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Olive and her team at Casual Gourmet did an absolutely fantastic job both well in advance, approaching and on the day of our wedding. Everything was super smooth sailing and fun with them from the start. We were married at Turntide Estate in Chatham in June 2019 and they already knew all of the intricacies of the venue, associated vendors, weather threats, and other items to cover for a wedding of our size (160). Their food was amazing for our heavy vegetarian and seafood loving guests. They are true professionals, and it’s no wonder why all Cape vendors have such respect for their team. Considering ours was a more challenging self-assembled day at a non-traditional location, I would recommend them with full confidence for any size wedding at any Cape venue.

Five stars seems inadequate to describe my son and daughter in law’s wedding experience with Mary Lyons and Casual Gourmet at the helm. After our initial meeting with Mary where we sat down to a delicious and wonderfully presented sampling of our menu choices, both the mother of the bride and I immediately asked Mary to cater a celebratory brunch a day after the wedding AND the engagement party. From that moment on, we knew all the details were taken care of, Mary is extremely knowledgeable and organized! Not only was the food delicious and beautifully presented, the entire weekend was organized to the last second. Thank you, Mary, and your team, for an excellent weekend and beautiful memories!

If you are planning a wedding on The Cape, the Casual Gourmet should be your first call. They helped us every step of the way from finding our venue to cleaning up at the end of the night. I cannot recommend the Casual Gourmet enough. Olive and her team really know what they are doing and make you feel like you are in the best hands throughout the entire wedding planning process. They are responsive, punctual, professional, unobtrusive on your wedding day and are extremely helpful with recommendations for vendors and suggestions of ideas to truly make your wedding special. Service was incredibly professional. The food was fantastic. I have received many compliments regarding how delicious the hors d'oeuvres were (I truly think people would have been happy eating those all night!) and how delicious everyone's meal was. Mary (our day of coordinator) and her team made sure our wedding day went off with a hitch and we cannot thank them enough!

The Casual Gourmet was affiliated with our reception venue, so that was how we determined where to go for our wedding cake. We were extremely pleased starting with our cake tasting. The woman we worked with understood our style and was able to help us design the perfect wedding cake. When we arrived at our reception and saw our cake, it was perfect! Even better than the look of the cake was how it tasted! Our wedding cake was DELICIOUS and everyone raved about it! Thank you Casual Gourmet!

As caterers they are 5 star, the food was incredible, but as wedding coordinators and running a wedding event it's more like a 2-3 star. They were not very detailed oriented. The night before we had a rehearsal and made a plan for the wedding day, we were notified that our coordinator was changing and there wasn't any follow-through on our plan. However, that being said, after the wedding, they were very receptive of feedback and apologetic.

If you are looking for a 5-star catering service, look no further! Olive and her team are efficient, responsive and know what they are doing. From the table settings, reception set up/design, the food, the cake, and her team's overall demeanor, everything was simply phenomenal. The food was delicious and our guests raved about how much they loved the food and cake! In the days leading up to our wedding, the stress had really started to set in, but I felt so reassured knowing that we had Olive and her team in our corner. They are hands down the best catering company you will find on Cape Cod!

Casual Gourmet was very easy to plan with, especially with their designated coordinator. Everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding and all of the food was delicious!

Though we were not always the easiest clients to work with, Casual Gourmet executed everything perfectly and we kept hearing guests comment about how delicious the food was! (Which many were probably nervous about, because it was an all vegetarian wedding). They did an excellent job.

The food was outstanding, the service gracious. Olive is a general with well trained troops. The event went like clockwork, in fact if the timeline deviates in the slightest Olive will seek out her contact in the wedding party for a quick consultation. We established who her wedding party liaison would be in advance and she took suggestions and direction from that person only. It was a wonderful reception and I recommend her highly.

Casual Gourmet was top of the line from the moment we met them on the phone. They created a dream wedding for our daughter and son-in-law and we could not be happier with them. They provided us with numereous venue options for our "casual Cape Cod beach" wedding. Once the date and venue were secured, they provided us with a robust list of great vendors for every aspect of the wedding - tent, florist, DJ, etc. and even portapotties. They were there to guide us every step of the way, as they know all of the most reliable people to work with on the cape. The food was awesome and I wish I could give them 12 stars! They knocked it out of the park.

They provided a raw bar and passed apps for our cocktail hour, a wonderful buffet for dinner and they baked our incredible wedding cake! We had an incredible experience with Olive and her team at The Casual Gourmet. We had countless guests raving that it was the best wedding food they’ve had. When it comes to wedding catering, Casual Gourmet is simply the best. They catered our backyard tented wedding and as a result of their work, it was not only flawless but the best night of our lives. We worked with Kelly for most of the logistics, contracting, and early planning including our tasting and she was fabulous: friendly, flexible, and responsive. We were fortunate to also have Olive as our day-of event manager due to the unique logistics of the backyard setup. Olive knows her stuff and provided great practical advice on best practices for how to make the event go smoothly. Olive and her team handled a huge amount of the logistics including vendor coordination and rentals. Olive came to the property several times, including when vendors were setting up on site. My husband and I pay incredible attention to detail and yet Casual Gourmet, and Olive in particular, went far above and beyond our expectations. There were one or two times in the planning process where Casual Gourmet was a bit rigid but this is primarily because they have been doing this for years and they tend to know what will work best. That being said, they did graciously accommodate several special requests (e.g. boxing up extra cake for guests to take home, special arrangements for food allergies, etc.) On the day of the event, the servers, bartenders, and staff were incredibly hard working and friendly. There was never a line at the bar and the food was truly phenomenal - many guests commented the best they had ever had at a wedding. In addition, there were bountiful appetizers and the presentation was flawless. Finally, Casual Gourmet did a special surprise groom's cake that was incredible - and received dozens of compliments from guests for its design (and the three cake flavors, fillings, and frostings were delicious.) They are worth every penny and we could not recommend them more highly. They are the best in the business.

Mary was amazing to work with - a real pro. She knew all the vendors and worked smoothly with them. The food was INCREDIBLE. By far the best food I’ve had at a wedding - several guests said the same! Definitely go with Casual Gourmet. You won’t regret it!

The Casual Gourmet did our wedding cake and it was perfect! Planning was so easy as they work directly with our venue, The Flying Bridge in Falmouth and billed them instead of us directly. The cake looked great (a semi naked cake) and tasted equally as good. The tasting was great as we got to taste all cake, icing, and filling options...we loved the free coffee too! I highly recommend the Casual Gourmet for wedding cakes.

Casual Gourmet was an exceptional choice for our daughter's wedding! Lisa was outstanding as our coordinator, and the food offerings were varied and impressive. Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was! From start to finish, the Casual Gourmet team was responsive, and offered sound advice. I wish I could give Casual Gourmet 6 stars. I cannot express how much we appreciate Olive and Kelly, and all they did to make our wedding absolutely perfect - even more than we dreamed it would be. From the initial contact, to the tasting, to the choosing of linens and accessories, Olive and Kelly inspired confidence and excitement. Olive never tried to "up-sell" us, but instead had excellent practical advice that was incredibly helpful and just spot on. We had our reception in a hall where we had to bring everything in, and it all worked like a dream. I designed my own centerpieces and Olive's team executed them so beautifully that the room was transformed. I sent Kelly photos of the kind of cake we wanted, and she worked with the CG cake designer to make something truly exquisite that had our guests oohing and ahhing. The food was outrageous - people talked about it the whole weekend. Our serious gourmet friends from New York were raving about every bite. My husband keeps saying one of his favorite moments of the thole day was exiting the church to be greeted by Olive with champagne, and being whisked off to the reception hall, where we could see the beautiful room and have a few (perfect) hors d'oeuvres before being overrun by the crowd. Olive andKelly are consummate professionals, and there isn't one thing, not one tiny thing, that we would have changed. The servers and bartenders were fantastic - so friendly and professional and nice. The cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert were timed beautifully. It was all just perfect. I cannot recommend Casual Gourmet highly enough. If you are having a wedding on or near the Cape, call them!

Casual Gourmet was recommended to us by our venue and I'm glad they were! They are extremely professional and organized. I worked with Mary Lyons and she kept me organized and on task. My only drawback was sometimes it felt like they didn't want to break out of their "usual". I think it was just a matter of experience and they knew what guests would like/dislike, but overall my hubby and I chose to do what we wanted and everything worked out extremely well.

Olive and her team are truly outstanding. Olive is exceptionally knowledgable about catering best practices, timing of the day as well as popular venues around the Cape - lending her expert opinion for most wedding related questions. Her team is remarkably responsive (easily accessible by email) and willing to accommodate most requests. My wedding day went off without a hitch (even in a tropical storm!) with her and her team: the bar service was insanely fast with never any lines, our buffet was the fastest anyone had ever seen they said, their menu to select from was out of this world (and the tasting with Olive was SO fun!), and the breakdown and clean-up of the tent after was phenomenal. Honestly I don't think my husband and I could be happier that we went with Casual Gourmet - cannot recommend them enough!!

Mary was our personal wedding coordinator, which is part of the service provided and SO SO worth it. Service was seamless, food was incredible, the cake was beautiful and delicious, and the whole day went off without a hitch- all thanks to Mary, Olive and the entire CG staff! Highly recommend!!

Casual Gourmet catered and organized our wedding at Highfield Hall this August. Lisa was our coordinator and she went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and make sure the day went as planned. The food was amazing, there were more than enough servers and bartenders for the crowd, and I never worried about how things were going because I trusted Lisa had control of it all. They also catered my sister in law's wedding and did an amazing job then, as well. I strongly recommend them! Also, our cake was delicious.
