Please do not book a makeup event with Aaron Perkins or Face Your Day Salon. I booked a makeup session, paid $150.00, and he was a no-show. Tried to contact him, but he agreed to a refund---never did it. Because he is such a nice guy, I did no...
t say anything (didn't think people would believe me). I filed a complaint with my credit card company and the BBB, but they did not help. Honestly, it is worth losing $150 to make sure that he never returns to work in LR again. I am sorry that I didn't write a review to share my experiences with him earlier, but I'm glad that he is not in Arkansas any longer. I hope he doesn't return--he disappointed a lot of people who counted on him.

Beware! If you choose to book Face Your Day salon, get it in writing that Aaron Perkins (the owner) and any other staff members you are promised for your day are the ones who will be there on the actual event day! I did a trial run for hair and...
makeup on January 24 where he did my makeup and Haydon did my hair. He told me that on my wedding day he would be doing all of my hair and makeup and Haydon and the rest of his staff would be doing my bridal party (at least 5 people). I texted with him numerous times between booking him in November until late April, and never once did he say he would not be there and that there would only be 4 people total to do 11 people’s hair and makeup in 3 hours! I didn’t find out he was in Palm Springs, California on a trip until his employees told me the day before my wedding(May 4). He then acted like it was no big deal, lied to his employees and me, and refused to refund any of my money when he knowingly left me without a makeup artist I had paid for on my wedding day (in addition to screwing up my rehearsal dinner evening as well). He is extremely unprofessional. I have all of the texts, emails, and receipts to prove that he totally bailed on me. I hope no one else is left upset and crying on their wedding day. Steer clear of Aaron Perkins unless you have a contract and a good lawyer.

Do NOT suggest. Aaron was either late for every appointment I had with him or ran ME late. For my bridals I was made an hour and a HALF late and showed up crying my eyes out because we barely had any sun for pictures and my hair was falling eve...
rywhere and was almost completely out by the time I got to the venue. My hair was a disaster every time even with pictures and redirection and everything I could help with. A trial run after my bridals prior to my wedding did not even help at all and I unfortunately did not get even close to what I wanted for my wedding day! It was heartbreaking and SO overpriced! I feel I could have done a much better job by myself, and in fact, had to go home and completely redo my makeup before my engagment pictures even though we were already late because of Aaron. Don't get me wrong, he is such a nice person but not very good at business. His staff is also extremely young and barely a year or less out of beauty school. This was definitely, by FAR the most disappointing part of my wedding.

I chose Aaron at Face Your Day to do my makeup for engagement and bridal photos, and the wedding day. His new salon is just as amazing as he is. Aaron is so personable and friendly and great at what he does. I showed him a few inspiration photo...
s and he took it and ran with it. He's great to work with and I recommend him to every bride and bridesmaid.
