Firefly Ambiance Event Rental

We worked with Richard from Firefly & I really couldn’t say better things about him. He is an extremely talented person. We met once in person & I gave him an idea of what we were thinking of design wise & sent over a couple of Pinterest boards & he handled everything from there. They did all of our florals plus a ton of candle lighting and decor. This was a destination wedding for us & all of our guests so we added in the NOLA marquee light for a photo back drop & it was stunning! Very reasonable price points for what they offer. I couldn’t recommend Firefly & Richard more.

Absolutely wonderful!!! We decided to add some additional decorations and furniture last minute to our wedding. They made it happen, helped me stay within an exact budget and made my idea into reality. They did it all based in a few pictures and over email. It was wonderful and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We used beautiful candles for our tables and the Nola sign with green couch for a picture spot that was a HUGE hit. I let them design and pic how to set everything up and they delivered. Definitely use them!!!! A++++++++++

Firefly stood out for event decor because of how amazing Richard is to work with - he provided so much insight & suggestions for our decor that made our venue look stunning! We are blown away with how everything looked on the day of and how he made our vision come to life. Their portfolio and decor options are beautiful and their expertise is worth every penny. Richard from Firefly was a pleasure to work with. He delivered the vision we wanted beautifully - lots and lots of candles on and around our fountain for the ceremony and on our dining tables, Moravian stars hanging from bistro lighting in the courtyard and on our dining tables for the reception as well. He also made New Orleans street name signs for our table names, which our guests loved. I loved my bouquet - I wanted an organic and loose bouquet with white and blue flowers and it was gorgeous. My husband also loved the unique boutonnière. We also had a NOLA marquee sign which everyone loved taking pictures in front of. Everything was dreamy and beautiful - exactly what we wanted.

Richard and the Firefly team were wonderful to work with for our October wedding! We focused on bistro lighting, candles, and bar rentals and he helped me make adjustments throughout the process as I tried to make up my mind! Then the day of it was like magic watching everything come together. The lighting is truly what made our venue look so special and I can't thank this team enough for making our day shine!

Firefly did such an incredible job at creating a perfect romantic setting for our wedding. When we first decided to get married in New Orleans, I knew I wanted our ceremony to be in a French Quarter courtyard with candlelight everywhere. Firefly set that scene for us. Our ceremony was at Hotel Mazarin's courtyard and Firefly surrounded the fountain with candles of all different shapes and sizes. It was absolutely breathtaking. They framed our alter with lanterns to match the fountain and the whole ceremony had an ethereal feel that our guests were speechless about. In the reception, they did an amazing job at alternating the tables with crystal candelabras and votives to fill the floral arrangements. They went above and beyond my vision and created one of the most beautiful wedding spaces I have ever seen. They were also incredibly easy to work with. They answered emails quickly and never complained about me making changed. Firefly would be a great addition to your wedding.

About 6 months from my wedding, I decided to add extra lighting to my reception venue. I can honestly say this was such a beautiful finishing touch. From the moment, I spoke with Richard, I felt calm and well taken care of. He patiently explored many options for lighting. We ended up choosing a rose gold candle wall behind our cake, gathering of tall candles at the foot of the stairs, and other small candles throughout (ex: on reserved tables). My reception wouldn’t have complete without his creation!!

Richard was an absolute dream to work with. Quick emails and all! Firefly set up our champagne wall, neon sign, and created a pipe and drape set up for the bridal party to work through. Everything came out perfect, and can honestly say they were one of our easiest vendors!

Firefly has a mixture of beautiful lanterns, vases, and candle holders. In addition to vintage love seats for sweethearts table. Richard quickly understood my style of our wedding and was able to turn my vision into a fairy tale story. Richard had a brilliant idea that brought joyful tears to my sister and my eyes with helping me representing my mother at our wedding. Firefly was a dream to work with throughout the entire wedding process. We flew from Brooklyn to New Orleans to look at the furniture and glass votives that they offered and they were so kind, patient and thoughtful throughout the whole meeting. We ended up getting long wooden farm tables from them, in addition to a couch, coffee tables and décor and everything they brought into the wedding elevated the atmosphere. Richard, in particular, was responsive via email and wonderful to work with throughout the whole process. We would highly recommend them.

I do not even know where to begin on Firefly Ambiance and Richard. After speaking with Richard on the phone the first time, I knew I was in great hands. I had a custom flower arch that blew me away. The decorations that I only saw pictures of due to living out of state brought tears to my eyes when I saw my vision for my perfect wedding decor had come to life. Every guest was blown away by how beautiful the decorations were, and how well they blended with my venue. My subtle beauty and the best themed gift table was the talk about the night. We weren't originally planning to get a lighting package and decided later in the process, but it was one of the best decisions we made. Richard was so easy to work with and truly brought my decision to life. The various candles complemented the florals and created a romantic ambiance after the sun set. Firefly also created custom signage that really elevated the venue. Our guests took so many pictures of the beautiful NOLA lettering that was placed in the courtyard. We are so happy we decided to work with Firefly!

Richard was able to take our vision and make it even more amazing that we ever envisioned. It was a magical evening!

We got married October 7 2018 at bourbon Orleans hotel in the St Anne cottage. There was a black wall behind a fountain that I wanted to do something beautiful and dramatic with. I saw what other brides had done and then I began looking at the wedding decor companies in New Orleans. I found fire fly ambiance and they had these beautiful white manzanita trees that I knew would look incredible. I spoke to Richard at firefly and he was very patient as I thought the trees over for about month and worked them into the budget and finally choose to rent them. Before the wedding Richard went to the venue to make sure everything was ok and see if there was any needed changes to accommodate the trees. On the day of the wedding I didn’t even hear from firefly, they completely worked out everything with the hotel and didn’t need to contact me on such a busy day. They were absolutely perfect. I cannot say enough about the service firefly provides and the level of professionalism. They know what they are doing and the prices may be a bit high but it is completely worth it. Thank you so much!!

It's no surprise Jennifer and the team are on every venue's preferred vendor list because THEY ARE GREAT. I told them what I was looking for and they brought it: uplighting, gobo, pin lights. It was all executed perfectly, even despite the hurricane that made us move up 3 hrs on short notice. My coordinator said Jennifer was the most responsive and ready of any vendor through hours of what-if panic scenarios the hurricane caused. THE SHORT STORY: This is an extremely professional outfit and they do high-quality work.

Richard from Firefly was absolutely fabulous to work with!! I reached to Firefly about helping me decorate a venue for my proposal, (not knowing how I wanted it to look) and Richard immediately got back to me with some fantastic ideas. He was a joy to work with every step of the way and truly made our engagement night one that we will never forget. And when I finally got to see the decor on the day of the proposal, it was STUNNING! Jennifer really made my event shine. I had my ceremony and reception at the Marigny Opera House. We used the same space for ceremony and reception, and when the room was flipped she made the event space and vibe completely different. I was blown away when I walked in for the reception! Jennifer also worked with me to stay within my budget. This definitely was one of my favorite vendors.

Jennifer from FireFly was an absolute godsend. I am obsessed with candles and lanterns and had a very specific vision for my wedding day. Jennifer did not have lanterns in her collection that looked like exactly what I had in mind- so she searched for months until she found the perfect lanterns! Her team went above and beyond for us and revised our proposal countless times. And when my Mom decided to add an "emergency" additional 25 lanterns the day before the wedding - Jennifer jumped through hoops to deliver. She killed it on our wedding day- everything was truly stunning!

I was unsure about exactly how I wanted my wedding to be decorated but I knew I wanted mostly candles with minimal flowers. I am a very visual person and it is hard for me to imagine what a space will look like unless I see it. Jennifer was patient with me and helped me through the process. Jennifer and her team work wonders - even last minute, on a limited budget, they made our wedding so luminous and romantic. My only regret is not contacting her sooner. Her team arrived to our event early, set things up and made sure that the candles remained lit throughout our event. The candles were without a doubt, the highlight of our event and I am so grateful for Firefly!

I contacted a years and 2 month prior to my wedding to share my visions and my goals. I proposed a budget and she introduced me severals ideas and details collaborated plans within it. We just celebrated our daughter's wedding at Rosy's Jazz Hall on Oct. 8th and Jennifer totally captured my daughter's vision and beyond! Its hard to show my gratitude to Jennifer and everyone over at Firefly Ambiance for the amazing detail and thoughtfulness that they put into giving my wedding the most beautiful and romantic ambiance. It's amazing that from a couple emails, phone calls, and many states away, that they were able to capture exactly what I had envisioned. Sadly disappointed!!! I made my initial contact with Jennifer on 07/16. We spoke a few days later about my vision and she said she would have a proposal back to me after her vacation set around 08/01/16. By 08/18, I had not heard anything from her. I sent a follow up email that she did not respond to so I called again. She told me they were busy helping clean up the flooding in Baton Rouge. I asked for a proposal for the ceremony instead. She told me there was a $1000 minimum. I'm not sure if she was trying to turn me off by stating this since money was never brought up in the previous conversations. As of 09/20/16, I still have not received a proposal yet. I am thoroughly disappointed as I was very excited to have candle centerpieces instead of flowers. Now I will have a room full of flowers.

Omg it was such a pleasure working with Jennifer,lol I love her she was so sweet the entire time.,! I booked firefly Ambiance for my wedding at the Arbor Room at Popp Fountain in City Park. I first made contact with Jennifer in August of 2015 and at that time I had absolutely no idea of exactly what I wanted to do, I was planning my wedding myself and I was all over the place but she sat with me and helped figure out my style, she showed me and my husband photos of candle decor to help create the look that we wanted. Lol there was even a time that I tried to go overboard with the candle decor and she was honest with me and told me that I didn't need it which I totally loved her honesty because she could've just took my money but she didn't. I booked Firefly Ambiance for Ceremony/Reception Candle decor and Uplighting. My wedding was 09/09/2016 and when I seen everything it was so beautiful I am very happy that I chose Firefly Ambiance. I can't wait to get my photos back just to look at what they did. Whenever I have another event I will definitely book Firefly Ambiance. Jenn&The team at Firefly Ambiance are amazing. I took a chance on having a reception decorated with no flowers, only candles and Jennifer with Firefly Ambiance came through in a STUNNING way. It literally took one conversation to hear my vision and bring it to life. Her candle decor complimented my gold and white theme and really elevated the space in the room with all the extra light. LOVED Firefly Ambiance, and I promise you will too!!

We loved working with Jennifer and Firefly. Our daughter had an outdoor wedding and the evening was magical with the twinkling of lanterns,candles and string lights over the dance floor. Firefly did beautiful work and was very easy to work with even when there were some last minute changes.

I absolutely loved working with Jennifer and her team! They are definitely pricy but when I shopped around to other vendors, they were no more expensive than what everyone else was charging in the New Orleans area. They have an extensive collection of candles, votives, chandeliers, lanterns, and anything else you would need to make your wedding pop. My husband and I (as well as all of our guests) were blown away by the décor at our wedding. Truly unforgettable ambiance and definitely worth every penny spent!

I decided that I only wanted candles at our reception - no flowers - but we had a really large venue and I was a little concerned about it being a bit underwhelming. Jennifer and Firefly Ambiance really did a beautiful job making the reception whimsical, especially on the stairs. The one downside that we really experienced is that she could sometimes be a bit difficult to get hold of but we can be demanding customers and Jennifer had the patience of a saint.

I was a little on the fence about using a vendor for lighting because we were trying to trim the budget, but we decided to go with Firefly to illuminate our dance floor and the backdrop behind our cake, and I'm SOOO glad that we did!! We got married at Musee Conti, and it looked like a fairytale when we walked in! The lights over the dance floor where exactly what we needed for a little ambiance. We did a large lighting backdrop behind our wedding cake, and it made everything pop! The photos are absolutely stunning. I highly, highly recommend Firefly Ambiance to really make your wedding venues sparkle!

I used Firefly Ambiance to bring to life my wedding vision of elegance and romance through the use of candlelight. Jennifer, the owner, worked with me through every step of the design process to make sure my vision was achieved within the budget I set. She was helpful, flexible, and a complete doll to work with! I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience and end result! I would definitely recommend Firefly Ambiance to anyone planning an event that involves candles to achieve the atmosphere they desire.

I was so excited to book this vendor. I wanted my courtyard wedding to be filled with candles. It was, and it was absolutely beautiful.....however, we had a contract to not tear down until 9:30, as my husband and I wanted to have some creative photos taken when it got a little darker. When our photographer and I went out at 9pm, everything was gone. Most of the reason I spent the money was to take these shots. Unfortunately, we did not get them. Jennifer apologized profusely, and said there was a miscommunication with her workers and is giving me half of my $$ back. This still however does not take away the heartbreak of not having the photos I have always dreamed of. I would not recommend firefly ambiance.
