Intelligent Lighting Design + Houston Wedding Lighting

My initial experience with Katherine and then Brian was absolutely fabulous...they came up with wonderful ideas and were very helpful in planning the lighting for the wedding...when it came to the execution, the experience turned sour with Katherine basically blaming me for the poor execution of the project. What was delivered was actually very well done, but unfortuntely the ILD Lighting installation team admitted that all the lights and associated equiment that were on the original contract and paid for in full where not actually on the truck for installation. There were other issues as well, but those are not even material to this review. The bottom line is be very aware of what is on the order, what you pay for and what is delivered because I was shafted and Katherine never accepted responsibility for their deceptive practices even though their own team admitted to my face that the original order had been altered by ILD...and finally, I advise you to read every single word of contracts and emails, because Katherine also stated that homeowner responsibilities were clearly defined and they absolutely were not! Katherine's discliamer was that she sent a cursory email to "remind" me of the homeowner requirements...one, it is hard to remind someone of something they did not know in the first place and two, the email was sent at 11:30pm the night before the wedding...we were a tad bit busy so the email was not viewed until after the wedding was over! Brides beware!

We used ILD for our lighting for our reception. just amazing! It was a perfect splurge and touch to really make the room. We used amber lighting in the room, because we wanted the effect of candlle light and it really made the room. Working with this company was an absolute pleasure, we worked with Katherine, and she was so responsive, funny, and kind. She was perfect. They are so worth it! Thank you for making our room just glow that night, it was a huge hit!!!!

I had the pleasure to work with Brian Dawson who did a wonderful job for our wedding venue (the Bell Tower on 34th in Houston). He truly had a vision for our wedding and perfectly tuned the color of the lighting with our flowers and the rest of the decor. Our wedding theme was 'Math and Science' and he did an awesome job in helping us choose the right pattern for our pattern lighting and my guests were in love with it (especially the ones with a PhD in Math or Physics!) Everything was so unique and true to our personalities. He also used his own creativity to mix our 2 wedding colors: violet and orange. Awesome job, Brian! Thank you so much!
