Groove Kitchen Band is an energetic wedding band based in Seattle, WA. Groove Kitchen Band had its genesis in 2005 in a world music and Latin jazz band. This band produced an album from which some tracks were used in a movie soundtrack. The collaboration has evolved hugely over the years. In 2011 the dance band was created and was named "Groove Kitchen". This band has been entertaining crowds at weddings and other events ever since. Built around an amazing lead singer, the band focused on hits from classic RnB icons such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson but more current dance turns are constantly being added to the list since young couples always have requests. Although the funk is what the Groove Kitchen is known for, the broad backgrounds of the band members means that they know how to play jazz, Latin and many other genres.
