We booked this band off of a recommendation before seeing them live. When we finally did see them live, we walked away thinking how LUCKY we were to have them as our musical entertainment for the biggest day of our lives. We cannot say enough good things about Robin-Banks Entertainment and the entire Downtown Sound band and team. The number of people that have mentioned, unprompted, how good the band was is well into double digits at this point, only a couple months removed from the day. Lucy was the most helpful and accommodating during planning and we never had to worry about one thing band related on the day of. If we could do it all over again the first thing we would do is book DTS!

We had a fantastic experience with Robin-Banks Entertainment and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We had a smaller wedding at a restaurant of about 80 people. Initially I was planning to make a playlist for the music/dancing. As the date got closer, I started thinking about how much my husband and I love dancing at weddings and decided that we really wanted to see if it would be possible to add some live music to the day. I reached out to RBE about 2.5 months before our wedding. Lucy, the band coordinator, got back to me immediately with a number of different options that would have worked well for us. Given the small restaurant space, we went with a four person ensemble of the larger group at Lucy's recommendation. We were incredibly lucky to get Katie as part of the ensemble despite the last minute booking. Before the day, Lucy did a walk through with us of the space and RBE was extremely communicative about every detail, including things we had not thought of. On the day, the band was excellent during the cocktail hour and Katie did a great job of emceeing our toasts. But the best part was the dancing, when the band absolutely brought down the house. Our guests were blown away with the quality of the music and have not stopped texting me about it. The dance floor was packed and my husband and I didn't want to stop dancing for a second once they started playing. I will never forget seeing my 70+ father-in-law and all our other relatives and friends rocking out. We truly had such a wonderful experience with RBE in every way. You will not regret working with them.

From our initial phone call, Katie from RBE was a joy to work with. She went the extra mile to attend meetings in person and was reassuring in ways that could only come with years of experience. We selected Central City Orchestra as our band and were thrilled with their performance. Many of our guests said they were the best wedding band they had ever seen. We first saw Central City Orchestra at a charity event that had people from all walks of life attending. We were stunned to see EVERY single person dancing, or at the very least, tapping their foot. I decided then and there that COO would be our wedding entertainment. They did not disappoint. Our 200 wedding guests packed the dance floor, singing and dancing the night away. Your search is over. This is the best wedding band in this biz. We received more compliments about our wedding band than any other vendor/detail from our wedding day. They brought the party of our dreams to life from the first song, and kept it going throughout the entire night, ending with horns following us as the perfect posse to our sparkler exit. Katie also helped us a lot with our timeline, and gave necessary announcements throughout the night to keep things moving and to keep guests apprised of important details. ​Central City Orchestra exceeded expectations that we had set very high! After seeing them live a few times before, we knew we were going to have a great performance at our wedding. However, this band brought the house DOWN in a way we didn’t know possible. Each musician is insanely talented from vocals to instruments, and some doing both! When our dinner service wrapped up ahead of schedule, they started playing immediately which was not originally planned. We were lucky enough to have CCO perform the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for our wedding and they were incredible! It's been over a month and I still have family and friends RAVING about how amazing the band was! They were interactive, fun, extremely talented, and kept the dance floor going all night! Katie, Rusty, and the Central City Orchestra performed music and sound for our wedding ceremony and reception and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a wedding on the east coast! From the planning period to the big day, Katie and her team were extremely thoughtful and communicative. Their process for curating songs to play is very comprehensive and they were easy to work with. Rusty (who played guitar for our ceremony) hopped on a call with us to talk ceremony music and jammed little riffs on the fly to help us figure out selections and sample different sounds. The band also learned new songs specifically for our event, including a truly awesome version of a song from Kill Bill to intro our wedding party. On the day of our wedding, the band was electric and brought so much energy, joy, and love to the night. Multiple people came up to us afterward to shower praise on the band and the dance floor was going strong throughout the whole evening. They rock!

We hired Central City Orchestra to perform at our wedding and it was hands down the best decision we made. They were incredible. Kept every guest on the dance floor from the moment they started playing until the end of the wedding. We had leftover dessert because nobody wanted to stop dancing! We had Central City Orchestra at our daughter's wedding. They were the absolute life of the party! Their musicianship is amazing. Their song choices are fantastic - perfect for our crowd... and they worked hard to make it that way. They come across with such positivity and personality - not the typical generic band. They are a total class act. We loved the horn section, we loved the voices, we loved how they kept everyone dancing the entire night. They were flexible and worked with us incredibly well to get everything in that we wanted. Their horn section guitarists and singers came out onto the dance floor at one point and we had an amazing New Orleans sparkler exit! They were just absolutely the perfect! We (parents of the bride and the bride) looked at over 15 bands out of Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, and Virginia and decided Central City Orchestra was our best option. We consider ourselves to be dance music nuts and we are! Their musicians are very talented not only in their videos but in person....they sound and look great! They can play a wide range of music pleasing to most that kept the dance floor full all night. They are very reasonably priced for the value received based on the pricing we received from the over 15 other bands we reviewed. Katie Robinette, CEO/Band Leader was very professional and helpful with planning the wedding reception. Even more valuable, were her services at the reception to make sure the entire event stayed on plan which significantly relieved the parents of the bride from the details and enabling them to enjoy the evening. So many of our guests told us how great the band was and how they had a great time at the reception. We were so impressed with Central City Orchestra that we hired them again for our youngest daughter's wedding to be held in May 2023 without hesitation!! If you’re considering a band, look no further. Message Central City Orchestra (or anything owned by Robin-Banks Entertainment). Even if you thought a band was out of budget, CCO should make you reconsider. As a pandemic bride planning a ~200pp wedding from another state with a professional background in corporate international event planning, I was wary of dealing with a live band over the “ease” of a DJ. I was wrong: Katie is who you want to work with. And who you want performing. For me, priority was more than just talent (although obviously that’s important) - I prioritized responsiveness, professionalism, transparency in planning AND costs, and overall general trustworthiness. Katie and CCO delivered. Planning from another state was made smooth, specific song requests were seamless, and even a wrench at the reception (small, but annoying) was met with grace. Our friends and family came from all backgrounds, they had seen all types of weddings, and (70/30) majority had never been to Lancaster PA in their lives. EVERYONE commented on the band. Every single guest. It takes real passion to come alive during performances that I’m sure they do very, very often. Honestly, I think as the bride (who is anxious about playing ‘host’ and appeasing many types of people in the crowd) I was most happy that 1. CCO made my guests feel special by giving us an energy that I’ve never felt at a wedding and 2. Katie made me feel confident! and I trusted her through every planning meeting, every MCee moment and every song. THANK YOU CCO!!!!!

Hiring CCO to play at our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding reception was the best decision ever. After meeting Katie, I never worried about a thing concerning the entertainment. We truly could not have asked for a better band to set the tone of our wedding. Going in, music was incredibly important to us and we were looking for a band that would cater to our crowd, keep the energy high, and deliver a fantastic performance for a guest list that had high standards. Katie and her team were easy to work with, responsive to our preferences, and built a setlist that had people of all ages dancing late into the night. The songs come in rapid succession - there are no "bathroom break" songs! - and the backing band sounds amazing. The most consistent comment we've received since getting married a month ago was how much everyone loved the band. We cannot thank Katie and CCO enough for making our wedding reception the BEST it could be. We are so grateful to have Katie and her band on stage for making it happen. They crushed it! In the planning phase, we really appreciated Katie meeting with us (in-person and virtually) on several occasions to help create the music content and vibe. Her advice was invaluable… asking the right questions and listening for the answers to making the body of work personal for bride and groom. So professional! And then in the execution phase, what a performance! First, the quality of the music/voices/sound was amazing. The orchestration of the music seamlessly laced together was masterful. And the new songs (e.g., Our House, Dancing in the Dark) made it so personal. And the energy you brought to the party had everybody dancing. What a celebration!

Where do I even start?! CCO was the talk of our wedding. We knew we made the right choice on our band from the beginning but the entertainment that evening was better than we could of imagined. Katie, Amy, and the crew are top notch. Katie was available throughout the entire planning process to answer questions. When we had to postpone due to COVID she was so accommodating. She played a huge roll in ensuring the evening flowed perfectly and provided timelines and info during the planning process to help us think through all of the details. Most importantly CCO was SO FUN AND ENERGIZING the evening of our wedding. We could not have asked for a better band to help us celebrate our long awaited big day.

Don’t look any further ! Central City Orchestra is the VERY best. We hired them for our daughter and son in laws wedding at Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Chautauqua Lake, NY. Wow, where do I even start? Finding a band for our June 5th, 2021 wedding was exciting yet somewhat difficult. My husband and I weren't sure what the COVID-19 situation would be like...would there be dancing?? Would we have to cut our guest list?? These were questions that remained, basically up until a month before our wedding. Finding the right band was very important to us, but we also had more important things on our minds. My Dad had been trying to recover from surgery and other unknown health challenges at the time. He unexpectedly ended up passing away in March, a few months before our wedding. With the passing of my Dad, my family and I were devastated, still are of course. I made the difficult decision to move forward with the wedding, knowing that it would be extremely hard without Dad by my side. Thankfully, Dad was able to listen to recordings of the band and helped me select them before he passed. Lucy, who is one of the lead singers of the band, was so incredibly kind the entire way through - from consistent communication leading up to the wedding, to the organized planning of our song selection, to being INCREDIBLY open-minded and dedicated to how I wanted to honor my Dad on our special day - Lucy treated us like family. Many wedding guests came up to me afterward asking if Lucy and I were long-time friends, or if she was part of the family and knew Dad. As Emcee of the night, she truly made those personal moments meaningful. Ok, so now let's talk about the actual music. So, as I mentioned above, we were concerned about people wanting to dance coming off of COVID...WRONG. When you hire this band I can PROMISE you people will be up dancing ALL NIGHT LONG. During the planning stages, we decided to eliminate any songs from 2000 and beyond and boy am I glad we did. We had every single guest up out of their seats dancing their butts off. Lucy, Josh, and the rest of the band were absolutely incredible. If this tells you anything, my sister went up and asked Lucy if they would play for an additional hour. She offered Lucy a Venmo payment on the spot! Haha! We didn't want the night to end nor did we want the music to stop. I also had a custom song played when I walked down the aisle. Since Dad was not physically there, I walked down the first part of the aisle with each of my uncles (Dad's brothers) on both sides, and then they passed me to my Mom to walk me down the rest of the aisle. Josh sang "Walk With You" by Edwin McCain. There will never be enough words to truly articulate and express how beautiful he sang this song and how deeply thankful I am that he was able to give me that precious gift on my wedding day. Josh, thank you from the bottom of my heart. At the end of the night for our special send-off, the band played "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" as my husband and I ran off into the darkness and up into the field. After running a good bit away we stopped to look back. The crowd was completely lit up by the barn lights, and everyone was waving at us goodbye as the band played their hearts out. It is a vision my husband and I will never forget. Hire this band. You will be completely blown away by how much they care and how talented they are. Watching all of our favorite people from all over the world, in one spot, with huge smiles on their faces, and coming together as they danced the night away was magical. I know Dad was dancing his butt off too, and smiling that big smile of his while he watched the band in awe.

The best wedding band!!! Working with Katie was so easy and she made the night amazing. They provided music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception and everything was great. The second the dance floor opened it didn't stop until the end of the night, and even then people wanted to keep dancing! I didn't have many song requests, I just wanted everyone to dance and they definitely did that! Super happy with CCO!!

Katie & her team played a huge role in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. To start, Katie was professional and highly communicative. She set up a call with us prior to our wedding to discuss logistics and put aside an hour of her time to ensure that the day would run smoothly. She also communicated with our wedding coordinator months before our wedding to discuss the size of the space and options for ceremonial and cocktail music. When our venue did not allow for amps at cocktail hour, Katie quickly problem solved and found an option that would work. The guitarist was amazing! Finally, on the day of the wedding, Katie and her team exceeded all expectations we had for a band. They played all night and had guests on the dance floor the entire evening. Our wedding coordinator shared that CCO was the only band they have ever had that took such a short break and even switched off so that musicians were essentially playing at all times. This kept guests dancing and excited to be there. We were truly blown away by the effort CCO put in to make our day so special! Would HIGHLY recommend to other brides & grooms!

We LOVED having Central City Orchestra as our band... easily one of the best decisions we made with our wedding. We could not have asked for a better band! Our wedding was heavily themed around music since we got engaged at our favorite music festival, so we knew we needed a great live band. Downtown Sound blew away our expectations and were absolutely amazing throughout the entire reception. They performed the perfect set-list and kept guests on the dance floor the whole night. Their energy level is great and musicianship would definitely be hard to beat. The band was incredibly easy to work with through the entire process and put all of our questions at ease. They even helped recommend and plan the last song of the night based on our wedding theme and song request, which ended up being incredible and we will always look back on that moment as perfect. We cannot recommend Downtown Sound enough and you'd be lucky to have them be part of your wedding.

If you want to have the best wedding EVER, hire CCO! We got married this past September on the Eastern Shore and I was very picky when it come to who I hired for vendors-not only did CCO perform so well but they exceed every high expectation I had. They were organized and listened to everything I wanted. Katie even met me and some other vendors at our venue to discuss important details/timeline for the wedding day. She also called me (bride) a week before the wedding to finalize everything and go over any last minute details. On the day of, and I can't emphasize this enough, they were INCREDIBLE. I wish I could give them 10 stars, honestly. Every guest was dancing and singing along during our reception and it made for the perfect night. They truly made our wedding perfect and were hands down one of the best vendors. We are so so so happy we hired them, people are still talking about how we had the best band among any wedding they had ever been to! Several people have asked for their contact info to hire for their own future weddings. If I have not already made this clear, hire these guys! CCO are upbeat, fun, lively, and can play a killer version of "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Love you guys and thank you for everything!

My wife and I were at a museum party and Central City Orchestra was the band. We loved everything about them - the musicians, the vocalists, the playlist and the energy. We knew that had to provide the music for our daughter's wedding. Everyone (literally) from 5 to 97 was up and dancing. Nothing but raves from all!

My husband and I hired Central City Orchestra for our wedding this past June and they truly were the highlight of our entire night! As big music lovers, having a live band with great energy and sound was the number one priority for us and Central City Orchestra surpassed every expectation! They were absolutely PERFECT! We went to go see one of their showcase shows and we could hear the music outside as we walked up to the venue. Before even walking through the door we knew we had found our band! We loved them so much we decided to use them for our ceremony and cocktail hour as well which added that special touch. They are all such talented musicians! Not only do they sound amazing and know how to get the party going with their high energy performance, they were also very professional and accommodating throughout the whole process. They helped keep the flow of the wedding going and there was never a dull moment! They also learned a couple of our favorite songs which helped make our night even more special. Hiring Central City Orchestra for our wedding was the best decision we made for our wedding. Our guests still make it a point to tell us how amazing they were! What an incredible band! The dance floor was packed all night! At one point during our daughters outdoor wedding, the power needed to be shut down for a little while due to lightning. CCO didn't let that stop them as the horn section continued to play and kept the party going. All night long, our guests started every conversation with, "where did you find this band?" They were shocked to find out that they were a central Pennsylvania band. Everybody assumed they were from NYC or Philadelphia. Katie was very easy to contact and always available as we planned the wedding. She worked great with us and the caterers to manage the flow of the evening. Everything was perfect! 10 out of 10!

Simply put, Central City Orchestra was amazing. They have such high energy, great style, and everyone in the band is incredibly talented. They are very professional, but very warm and friendly. Many of our guests went out of their way to tell me this was the best wedding band they have ever seen (including some guests who a band at their own wedding). Central City Orchestra was amazing! Not only were they extremely talented musicians, but they were extremely professional to do business with. Katie was amazing to work with and went above and beyond what any band even came close to doing. She helped us not only plan out our music, but helped us setup the venue, times, and went through our entire wedding itinerary with us multiple times. They were upfront about costs and did not charge us any hidden fees and we knew exactly what we were going to be charged from the moment we talked to them. When we had questions Katie immediately followed up and we had answers within a few hours (if not minutes). It was great to have them on our wedding day as they genuinely care about their clients and you can see it. It is not just a ‘job’ to the band, but something they love. We had two VERY different families with two VERY different styles of what they expected at a wedding and Central City Orchestra helped pull our two families together with their sensational music, flare, and style. We had many compliments on our wedding, but EVERYONE talked about how great Central City Orchestra was and how much fun everyone had dancing and singing with them. Our guests keep telling us that our wedding was the best one they’ve been to recently, and we truly owe that to CCO. Our dance floor was packed all night long! The band even learned 3 special song for us! I am a huge Queen fan and one of the songs they learned for our wedding day was “You’re My Best Friend” for our mother/son dance and it was truly great, as well as a special Beatles song for my wife’s dance with her family. This was just one of the many special things CCO does for their clients. We truly cannot thank them enough, and if we have another event or opportunity to hire another live band, we will definitely book CCO again!

Our agency, The Arc of York County, hired Central City Orchestra for our gala fundraiser, our 2nd annual The Arc Ball and Auction on March 9, 2019. They were an instant and absolute hit with our guests, and Katie was wonderful to work with from the planning side of things. She worked closely with me to make sure that everything was in place and we had a good plan for the evening's flow. When we had an unexpected narrower timeframe to set up, the band worked within the constraint and were still ready to perform before they were needed. I had the chance to see CCO in performance both before and after we hired them for our gala. What I love about them is, as a group and as individual performers, they are so versatile and so consistent at the same time --- every time I hear them, the show is never the same; but it’s always excellently performed! The vocals and the instrumentation are always on point, and you can tell that each of the CCO members is having as good a time performing as the guests are experiencing their shows.

CCO was incredible. At one point when i was in the Bridal Suite i couldnt tell if it was the DJ or Band playing. They are THAT good. They were enthusiastic and interactive with the crowd. My guests wont stop asking us about them!

As mother of the bride, every penny that was spent on this band was so well worth it! They were so responsive to every call or question I had, relieving any uncertainty about the music. They performed exactly as asked, from cocktail hour, to dinner music, to getting the party started. I would highly recommend using them. They will not disappoint. Between their performance and the quality of Amanda at the Hershey Country Club, we could not have had greater success.

Hiring Central City Orchestra was arguably the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. When we started planning, we knew we wanted a band for live music. We started by looking for bands in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. Ignorantly, we didn't think we'd find a band to meet our expectations around small town Pennsylvania. After hours/days spent searching for big city bands online, and seeing some in person, we were discouraged that we couldn't find a band we liked. We jokingly searched local bands, and joke was on us--the best band for us was in our own backyard--Central City Orchestra. As soon as we saw their website video and YouTube videos, we had to see them live. I contacted Katie, and she invited us to a fundraising event they were playing at. When we saw them perform in person, we knew we had to have them at our wedding. Katie was so easy to work with, and did a great job planning the evening with us and our venue coordinators. They kept the dance floor packed all night with great music. They are amazing at interacting with the crowd and song selection. They learned three new songs of our choosing, and performed them amazingly. Guests raved about CCO and said it was the best wedding reception music they've ever had. We can't wait to hire them again in the future!

Central City Orchestra performed at our corporate customer meeting. They were a HUGE hit! Our customers raved about how good they were and said it was the best customer event they attended. The band was so awesome I was instructed to book them asap for next year's event - and I did!

OMG!!! CCO is the best!!! So much work goes into being a professional wedding orchestra and Central City Orchestra takes it over the top!!! I can not imagine there is any other band that could be any better. Their planning, attention to detail, ease of coordinating plus of course, the performance by these fabulous talents, makes any reception a huge success! Let me first start by saying that our wedding would absolutely not have been as amazing as it was without Central City Orchestra! Professional from start to finish regarding the day-of process (they asked us questions about how we wanted the day to go that we hadn't even considered and were so helpful with the stressful wedding planning process) and every kind of fun under the sun on the day! My family is quite reserved and I saw a very different side of them (a very fun side of them) during our wedding! I am convinced that it is because of CCO! I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you, CCO! You made our wedding my favorite wedding that I've ever been to!

Absolute best.band. ever. From beginning to the end- just incredible. They took time beforehand to really get to know myself, my husband and our families in order to make our wedding the most enjoyable night possible. Katie even came to our venue ahead of time to meet with us and our wedding coordinator- making sure I did not have to do a thing on our wedding day. They took care of everything and it went so smoothly! They threw a complete party- We still have people telling us on a daily basis what a blast they had at our wedding- I give so much credit to our band! They are not only a party, but they made the night very personal and special for us as well. They kept the party going all night long- playing music that every age group loved. Dancing with my husband and my dad to a song we picked and they learned meant so much to us - a moment I’ve looked forward to my whole life. I just cannot say enough good things about Central City- I cannot wait to follow them around to other events! I am beyond grateful for all they did on the most wonderful day!

CCO did an absolute incredible job on our wedding day. Their organization and planning throughout our meetings and on our day helped the reception go as smoothly as it could have gone! They handled the introductions and worked with all of our requests perfectly. They even reached out to other vendors we were working with separately in order to keep everyone in the loop. We were so happy with the performance and so were all of our guests. We heard all throughout the day and for weeks after that it was the best wedding/celebration our family members and friends had ever been to! We are so thankful they were available and able to play for our wedding! I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a live band performance for any event!

You NEED this band for your wedding. From the start Katie and Amy were an absolute pleasure to deal with - they are professional, easy to communicate with, kind, and a ton of fun! BEST WEDDING BAND EVER. Central City Orchestra literally brought the roof down on our perfect day. We had a SURPRISE wedding and they were absolutely amazing, they got sound check done early so as not to give the surprise away to guests who were just arriving, they hid in the ballroom until cocktail was over and helped surprise our guests right along with us. They played from the heart and it became more than just music - it became a feeling and all of our guests experienced it. I just got married - and I am looking for reasons to throw another party and have them come out again!

CCO Was a dream come true! They were non stop energy and we had so many compliments from our guests and non stop dancing!! I would highly recommend them to anyone! I had Central City Orchestra perform at our daughters wedding and they were fantastic. Where do I even start- CCO was amazing/perfect/so much fun! Working with Katie was a breeze and she really made sure that she knew exactly what we wanted. All of the band members are very talent and sound great together. They also played a great mix of music that kept all of our guest dancing. You would be crazy not to book them!

CCO performed for my daughter's wedding, and all I can say is "WOW"! Worth every penny! They put us at ease from the very beginning by offering us a private showcase and hands on planning up until the day of the event.

My 50th birthday celebration was a raging success, thanks in part to Central City Orchestra. Amy worked with me to craft a great song list and the band really delivered. The group was fun and accommodating - and people are still telling me what a great time they had.
