I am so glad I did. Before we met in person, Sara answered about a million questions over email, helped me decide which package was right for me (so glad I got a make-up trial!!) and made me feel like I was in the right hands. Sara works in a gorgeous loft-type studio in downtown Denver, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. When I came in for my trial, she gave me a big hug and a drink before sitting me in the chair to talk about my wedding day look. She was an amazing listener and translated my vague, make-up ignorant comments into a beautiful face with natural make-up that highlighted my best features. After my trial, I went away feeling beautiful and like myself. It was a great choice to purchase the trial, because I knew that everything would be fantastic on the big day. When I came in for my day-of appointment, she asked if I had anything I wanted to change, and I told her to kick it up a notch. Wowee. When I was done, I swear I looked like a supermodel, but still like me. She made me so gorgeous!! She also bought some last minute lipstick and gloss for me, so that I could be touched up throughout the night. I’m really glad I spent the extra money for that, because I re-applied several times. She also rolled with the fact that some of my slightly boisterous friends joined us and were funny and distracting. It meant a lot that I could have my friends there with me. At the end of the night, despite tons of crying, I still looked stunning. I didn’t want to wash my face ever. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Sara Duffey’s services to any bride looking for a fantastic make-up experience: warm, comfortable, inviting and professional… Plus, I have never been so beautiful. Further, she was very calm, which had a calming effect on me. I can’t say enough about her demeanor and professionalism. I am so glad Sara could be a part of my wedding day! If someone were to ask what I liked the most about my experience, it would be how kind, considerate, personable, and professional Sara was. The days I had my makeup done were incredibly hectic. When I sat down to have my makeup done, however, all of my worries floated away. This is because Sara knew just what to say to calm me down and focus on the positive aspects of the day. look like someone other than myself! I was so relieved when I found Sara. Her prices were reasonable and she made me feel so comfortable leading up to the wedding. She even suggested doing my makeup trial the day of my engagement photo shoot so we could see how it photographed! The day of the wedding was such a blur but I still remember Sara's gentle and calming nature. She not only made me look beautiful but made me feel beautiful as well. All of my bridesmaids loved her, in fact at least one has used her in her wedding because she loved her so much. I just hope I can come up with a fancy event so I have an excuse to ask her to do my makeup again!
