EDIT: Anyone have any updates? My wedding was in September 2022 and still have not received anything. Not an update, picture, or email. My mother in law passed away 2 weeks ago and never got to see the wedding photos. If anyone has any information that could be helpful, I can be reached at Steven.espinosajr@gmail.com ORIGINAL POST: The reviews below are exactly what me and my wife are dealing with. We hired Sloan per the contract we signed and paid over $2,000 BEFORE he took pictures as his contract stated we had to do. After the wedding on September 2nd, he ghosted us. Didn't email us, call us, text us, nothing. The contract stated we would have sneak peaks and the full 700 photos BEFORE October 28th. We had to call repeatedly, email, reach out to his social media, and everything else only to get a half hearted response after suggesting we would go the legal route if needed since he breached his contract. Like the other posts, his "assistants" reach out to us through his email and only gave us first names. They said they would be editing our photos and are a few clients behind but that we would get them. When we requested a new contract since we didn't pay the assistant to edit our photos but Sloan, Sloan reached out using the same email saying it was him and that we wouldn't need a new contract because he would be editing them not his assistant. He stated he would send the full gallery edited to us by October 28th. At the time of this review, it is December 21st with nothing to show for it. My wife and I had to get our photos redone locally because it is daily heartbreak knowing that someone will hold your most memorable times hostage. I did some digging and found his LLC was dissolved last month. I even reached out to a videographer that Sloan suggested for us (that we ended up not using) and he said that Sloan has a habit of ghosting his clients after getting payment. I am at a loss here and I don't know if we will receive them in the next month, next two months, next 8 months (like one of the reviews below) or longer ALL AFTER THE CONTRACT DATE.

If you have a wedding booked with Sloan then you need to find a new photographer ASAP. He went M.I.A and I had to find a new photographer the week of my wedding. After several calls and emails, we still have not heard back from him. We spoke a few weeks before we made our final payment then nothing…..

Our wedding was Feb. 26, 2022 and FINALLY GOT OUR PHOTOS (10/6/22). We hired Sloan to take our engagement and wedding photos. Initially, he was great. He had a very charming personality, and our engagement photos came out beautiful. Initially, we were a little shocked with how long it took us to receive our engagement photos (a few months later) but knew beforehand that he was a little backed up. However, we didn’t expect it to take as long as it did, we had to ask for ETAs several times, and felt like we didn’t get as many photos as we assumed. On our actual wedding day, he was fantastic and well liked. When Sloan was heading out the night of our wedding, he said he will get them to us soon and we tipped him. As stated in the contract, Sloan was to deliver photos within 8 weeks of the wedding date. When we hit roughly 2.5 months after our wedding, I reached out for an ETA. He let us know that he was backed up since he was out sick with covid so he will need a little more time – no biggie, life happens. On the 7th month mark, I started reaching out weekly. On the 8th month mark, I started reaching out every day through any and all means (the knot, email, text, call) without a response from him. In the course of 8 months since our wedding, he told us 6 times we would receive our photos by the end of the week. All throughout it, I had to be the one to reach out for updates/communication and there would be times a full month would pass without a response after multiple attempts to reach him. I even said I would settle for the raw footage since I rather have the photos un-edited than without. It was only after a threat of suing that we received a response via Sloan’s email - BUT NOT FROM SLOAN - but from another photographer, named John who was going to take over due to some “serious personal issues that had come up” for Sloan. They informed me that it would take another 4-6 weeks until I would receive my photos since they were not complete. I asked for their email/number so I can reach them directly for assistance instead of going through Sloan’s email where I was barely getting a response before, I also asked for them sooner since it has been 8 months and we were promised multiple times we would get them within a week, and lastly, mentioned again, that we would be seeking out legal matters to either get our photos or money back if we do not receive them. Within 12 hours of that email, Michael (someone different than Sloan & John) informed me (through Sloan’s email) that they will not provide their information and that I would have my photos by that day. I wanted to hold off on leaving a review until I received my photos since I didn’t want anything to affect the delay of them. This whole ordeal has us feeling like we have been scammed, caused major anxiety, and lost opportunity to share with loved ones we will never see again. Even though we now have our photos, we paid SLOAN to take AND edit them and not some random photographer that we know nothing about. We’re not even sure if John/Michael is who they say they are since neither really gave any information of who they are (besides John saying he is also a wedding photographer). The photos themselves are beautiful but this anxiety and constantly having to beg and threaten for a response and to receive our photos is not worth it AT ALL. I really wish that this didn’t end up like it did as we did enjoy Sloan and loved his style of photography – however, this experienced sucked majorly.

Same situation as previous review. Pictures are not delivered within 8 weeks. Not the experience I was looking for. I feel like we have to beg what we paid for. Very disappointing.

We had a great experience the night of the wedding, April 9th of 2021. Sloan agreed with my wife to have the bridal pictures to her 8 weeks after, and wedding pictures 8 weeks after the wedding. Well you can imagine how we feel that we still don’t have our pictures, she has reached out to Sloan multiple times. After basically blowing him up he finally responds and tells us he’ll get it to us the end of next week, I’m sorry but that’s not how you conduct business. If you tell us one thing then push it off and push it off there is something else going on. Let alone you also have to pay him in full prior to seeing any of his work. I am beyond angry at this situation, it has now been almost 3 months after the wedding and I still do not have one photos from the bridal pictures which has been over 3 months or the wedding night. All we want is what we paid for. We pay for a service and have yet to receive anything. Give me our damn photos we paid for.

Sloan was really great. He nailed the pictures, and wasn’t afraid to mix it up on the dance floor to get the good shots. Some of my friends even sent me selfies they took with him. A really great addition to the wedding.

Sloan was truly the highlight of my wedding!! he was a delight to work with and made everyone feel at ease! He went above and beyond and even stayed a little later than planned to make sure he captured precious moments that would have been missed! Absolutely amazing!! Thank you for being there on our big day and helping us capture every moment!

Sloan was highly recommended to us by several people and for good reason. We just got married and have already received a few “sneak peeks” that have turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined. As someone that typically hates getting their picture taken (and isn’t necessarily the most photogenic), I am floored at how amazing the pictures turned out. Beyond the quality of the product, Sloan and his team are also incredibly kind, flexible, and fun to work with. Cannot recommend enough!

Sloan is worth every penny and more. He goes absolutely above and beyond for his clients and the finished product is phenomenal. We are more than pleased with our decision on booking him for our bridals, engagements, and wedding. He was incredibly flexible with our forever changing schedule and always followed through. The photos are more than what we ever expected and I am so lucky to have had him photograph such a special day! He is easy to work with and makes the entire process fun and a relaxed environment. I cant recommend him enough!!!!

Sloan was wonderful! He was helpful throughout our whole wedding day. From setup to ceremony to reception, he captured so many great moments! We chose to do a "first look", and he scoped out the area around our venue and planned out how we'd do it (which was awesome because we didn't have an inkling of how that should look). The planning aside, he made our "first look" session fun and relaxed, which as a bride I very much appreciated. We had a small wedding, and he was able to get photos of everyone that attended. All photos were expertly edited and came out amazing! I highly recommend him for weddings or any special events.

Sloan was so amazing, he was right in the moment with us and captured every detail perfectly! He was always in the right place at the right time. We are beyond thrilled with the photos, the lighting was just right- brought us right back to our special night.

Sloan was great. I was the groom, and he spent the day with me and my dudes before the big party. He did great job integrating with us and felt like just another one of my buddies, and that of course is where the best shots come from. He got in the mix and got great dance floor shots during the big event.

I’ve known Sloan for a long time and his work is absolutely amazing. You should definitely check out his Instagram, @sloanbreeden, to see some of his work. Our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures blew us away because they are so perfect. He also did my best friend’s wedding and her pictures are amazing, too! I cannot recommend Sloan enough. He’s so fun to work with, great at making everyone laugh for a good shot, and takes the most amazing candid photos of the wedding party *and* the guests. Best photographer in Austin! (And he’ll travel for weddings, too!)

My (now) wife and I are so impressed with Sloan, he is funny, smart, and his pictures are beautiful. Our day was pretty much a blur to us but when we received our photos I relived our beautiful day all overs again. He organized our photos in a way that tells a story, it made us so happy and cried tears of joy. I recommend Sloan to everyone, we enjoyed this experience with him.

Everyone in the wedding party has been throwing praise at the professionalism and conciseness of Sloan throughout our entire wedding day! My mother said, “he was everywhere and out of nowhere!” My Maid Of Honor was commenting on the bridal party and how comfortable every bridesmaid was while we were getting ready. All of the children took Sloan’s direction without resistance and were disarmed by his directness and fun nature. Sloan was the perfect photographer for our special day! He made everyone feel extremely comfortable during the shoots, accommodated special requests, took a wide variety of shots, was high energy throughout the entire day, provided us with excellent scheduling advice during the wedding prep stages to maximize our photos, and, most importantly produced an amazing final product! We have already received so many compliments on his pictures and can't wait to see the rest. Our guests also loved interacting with him throughout the wedding. Sloan is amazing! He was a one-man photographer team at our wedding of 130 people and he had the best attitude! Our guests even raved about him after. Very professional while being just a fun personality to help relieve any butterflies. He fit right in with our bridal party and family. On top of all that we also have stunning wedding photos to serve as beautiful memories. Since our wedding we have worked with Sloan on other projects and will continue to keep him in mind as more things come up.

Sloan’s work is hard to compare against other photographers in the Austin area. His work is beautiful! He captured all the moments on my wedding day. Didn’t miss anything. He went out of his way to make the photos perfect. I cannot thank him enough!

Sloan is the BEST! I was looking for a photographer that wasn’t your standard wedding photography. Sloan is a true artist. Our photos came out so beautiful and perfect. He truly captures your love and how much fun your special day is! I had my bridal portraits done with Sloan as well and he made me feel very comfortable. You can tell he’s a true professional. It can be awkward posing when it’s something you’ve never done before, but Sloan had me laughing the entire time! I can’t thank him enough for making our day such a breeze. It is truly so hard to describe how wonderful Sloan is at what he does! I met Sloan when he was the photographer at my brother's wedding, and instantly knew that I would be hiring him for my own in the future. Not only does he take great pictures, but he makes sure to get to know you so you feel completely comfortable around him. Prior to my engagement session and wedding, I was honestly so nervous about having pictures taken of me that would be looked back at for years and years to come. After we did our engagement session, however, he felt more like a friend than someone I had hired. He knows how to tell you exactly how to stand, where to look, and what to do so well that I was shocked at how natural we looked in our pictures. Our engagement pictures were hands down the best pictures I had ever had of myself and my fiance prior to the wedding. At the actual wedding, Sloan was able to capture so many important moments and even ones that I didn't even know happened. When I tell you he takes a lot of pictures, I mean he takes a LOT. The best part, though, is you barely realize he is there taking the picture. He doesn't get in the way, and doesn't make guests feel awkward. In fact, many of my guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved the photographer! The way he delivers your photos is super convenient, and he is great with communication. If you choose Sloan, you WILL NOT regret it. Your pictures will be the envy of everyone who sees them.

It has taken me a minute to write this review, largely because I don't know where to start. Sloan is, quite simply, brilliant. My (now) husband Ray and I looked through dozens of portfolios and talked to several photographers when we were deciding who to go with for the wedding. I didn't want us to look too plastic or posed, and Ray didn't want us to break the bank on what is, at the end of the day, a one day event. The moment I saw Sloan's portfolio I was hooked. He's a photojournalist by trade, and his eye for composition, color, and drama is unmatched. Initially I wasn't sure how well this would translate to wedding photography, but then he showed us his wedding work and I was floored. Every single person who has seen our photos has complimented us on them, and I'm pretty much planning on wallpapering one of the rooms in our house with his photos, there are SO MANY. He captured every important moment, and all of the little intimate ones I wanted to remember. And he did it like a ninja! Other than our portrait session, I do not remember him giving us much in the way of direction, and you can see how organically beautiful it ended up being. We will be using Sloan for any future photo sessions we have, for as long as he agrees to keep shooting us!

Sloan is not just a wedding photographer, he's an amazing family photographer, as well! My entire family (which includes 3 teenagers) has used Sloan twice while we were all having a family reunion in the Georgetown, TX area. He is great at making everyone feel relaxed, comfortable and capturing moments that everyone loves! Sloan made the photo session fun, interactive, and engaging. I cannot recommend him enough...we will call him again for future family sessions together and have already printed out the photos to remember our time together.

Sloan is the guy you want to have photograph your wedding! He has great energy about him that's fun and warm. Even in the sweltering heat he kept things moving and kept everyone motivated and engaged-with flattering comments to boot! The most amazing part of working with Sloan was as soon as you’d think “oh this would make a great pic” he was already there two steps ahead the whole night. Sloan really is truly amazing! My fiance and I never had pictures taken before and we were so nervous. Sloan made us feel completely comfortable to the point we were laughing until our sides hurt. I'm in the wedding business and know many photographers. When my wife and I got married, Sloan was the only one we called. He was perfect (as we knew he would be!) Before the event he spent quite a bit of time gathering info as to what we wanted, and the day of the event he was amazing. Everyone who's seen our photos has said they're amazing. They seriously look like they're out of a fashion magazine (other than that no one is going to confuse me for a male model...) We didn't have a lot to spend on our wedding, and honestly I thought we could save some money by not having a professional photographer as we have a number of family members with a keen eye and some fancy gear. My wife & I ultimately decided to have Sloan there and it was the best wedding decision we made (other than getting married in the first place, of course!) Seriously, we still look at his pictures of our big day. He's incredibly talented, patient, friendly, and just really wants to do a good job for his clients.

My wife and I, as any couple, wanted to be able to capture the memory of our wedding for our present family and friends and our family and friends to come. Who doesn't? It is an amazing day! To be sure, my wife and I have very different tastes when it comes to having photos taken. She loves it, I don't. Photos make me wildly nervous. She loves being properly prepared for a photo and I prefer they never happened - except on a day like this. Enter Sloan. Sloan was there and not there. He was ever present and took a million photos, but he was never intrusive. He has a wonderful knack of capturing the moment in a way that is natural and presents his subjects in the best light. This organic way of going about his work allowed me to me more present in the moment than worrying about pictures. When it came to the ones you ABSOLUTELY have to pose for, he made it a blast. It was fun! Best of all, he worked so incredibly hard to get the best photo. At one point, during our reception, he drug us out of there to a field because the sky was so completely amazing. He knew we would want this photo and he was right. In fact it is the one that hangs in our living room. I have recommended Sloan to everyone I know. We are still so thrilled with the photos he took and as a person he is a true delight to know.

Sloan was incredible for our wedding. Our wedding was supposed to be in Houston on September 3rd, but Hurricane Harvey really screwed with our plans. Our venue got flooded out and Texas was experiencing a gas panic. Sloan reached out to us and checked to make sure our family in Houston was ok after the hurricane, and told us that he was flexible and to just let him know what we decided to do. We ended up having to move the wedding to my parent's backyard and Sloan was ready! He told us to just tell him the address and what time. We had guests cancel because they couldn't find gas to get there, but Sloan made it out to us and recorded our unforgettable day. Whenever there was a moment where you would think "wow, this would make a great picture!", Sloan was already there capturing the moment. His past experience in photojournalism made for some epic candid pictures. We definitely recommend him for your future wedding needs!

Sloan was amazing! I was very nervous about a photoshoot and feeling awkward but sloan made us feel so comfortable and he fit right in with crowd. Everybody at the wedding loved him! And when we recieved our wedding photos we were blowm away with how beautiful they came out!

Sloan was over the top amazing. He was the perfect addition to our day and did a wonderful job of interacting with the guests and capturing every special moment. Our guests couldn't stop gushing over how much they liked him, he definitely left a lasting impression. He brought his own energy to the evening and completed our day. Sloan is excellent to work with! He made shooting our wedding his priority which was really helpful for a busy bride. He contacted me and made sure we met. My fiance and I sat down with him over lunch and chatted about his story, his style, and all his suggestions. I couldn't see any reason not to use him. He was really helpful the day of the wedding keeping everyone entertained and on track. His excited personality fit us perfectly. His photographing style is photo journalism... telling a story so perfectly with captured moments. I cannot say enough great things about Sloan, his style, working with him, and his professionalism. He was super easy to work with. I highly recommend him as your eventa photographer.

If I could give more stars, I would! Selecting Sloane as my wedding photographer was the single best choice I made when doing my planning. It was clear from the beginning that he genuinely cared about photographing all of the moments that were important to us. He took time to actually get to know us (and let us get to know him!), and even made a trip to the venue with us ahead of the event. On the day of the wedding, he and his second photographer captured every moment in the most magical way......from the intimate parts of the ceremony, to beautiful portraits and candids, to the fun chaos of the reception! We are blown away by how perfectly the photos reflect the feeling of that evening. We also received multiple comments from our guests as to how professional and fun both Sloan and his second photographer were. So, in summary, Sloane is not only an incredible photographer, but also a downright great human being. We cannot possibly recommend him highly enough.

Sloan was so amazing and our pictures were even more amazing. They exceeded our expectations!! We still love looking at them. He was super professional and we got our pictures back in a timely manor.

We absolutely love Sloan! Right from start, we hit it off and knew we wanted him as our wedding photographer. He worked with us in terms of budget, and was great with his research into the venue and our families. Sloan’s photographs are genuine pieces of art. I wanted photos for my wedding that were unique, artistic, and not matchy-matchy or too posed, and Sloan far exceeded my every wish. I am in love with my photos, and every time I look back at them I see something new in them- beyond just the ordinary elements of a photograph. Sloan is an incredible photojournalist who has traveled and studied the art form extensively, so you can trust that you will have something creative and auspiciously surprising. He will also do whatever you ask of him with a smile and professional suggestions. He is also just fun to hang out with! You will want to be friends with him after the event! I can’t recommend Sloan enough- he is a treasure.

We can not recommend Sloan Breeden enough! My husband & I are the type that don't photograph well when we know a camera is on us. That was no problem for Sloan. We LOVE our wedding pictures, they look like us, not posed- takes us back to the exact moment! His work truly tells the story of our day, we were pleasantly surprised to see how he'd captured so many moments! We receive compliments all the time and we couldn't be happier with the work he did or the experience we had working with him to capture our day! Choose Sloan!
