Tessa Pinner Cake

We are so glad we were referred to Tessa as a local baker - which doesn't feel right, I feel like I should call her an artist - in the Greenville, SC area. We had a tasting with her and were absolutely blown away - we didn't bother looking or trying anywhere else. I was one of those "a cakes a cake" people before I tasted Tessa's work. We tried about 6 different flavor pairings (stemming from almond cake with white chocolate frosting to chocolate cake with espresso and even a chai cake) and had such a hard time deciding that we decided to have two flavors for our wedding cake (chai with vanilla & berry compote which was perfect for our November wedding and vanilla/vanilla) and had the other flavor pairings as cakelets at our rehearsal. We received SO many compliments on both the cakelets and the cake! Also - the cake value was incredible...in my mind, we were going to have a smaller cake and it was HUGE! Loved it. She's so easy going and nice to work with, it really was such a pleasure and we will definitely work with her in the future.

Tessa did an absolutely lovely job on our wedding cake. She was a pleasure to work with throughout every step of the process and the final product was beyond perfect (in both taste and look). I have worked with Tessa on quite a few styled shoots and a workshop and she is by far one of the best and most talented cake artists I've worked with. She always goes above and beyond on everything I have asked of her. Of course her pieces are beautiful pieces of art but the taste of her cakes are amazing. The combination of flavors she uses are non traditional but meld together to create the most perfect of flavors. She has a heart of gold and will make sure that your cake is exactly what you want and more.

Tessa made our dream cake! My husband and I were so impressed after our cake tasting with her that we couldn't believe that it could get any better. The cakes we tasted were some of the most moist and flavorful cakes we had ever had! However, when the cake arrived on our wedding day, we were overwhelmed with a piece of artwork that tasted just as good inside. Tessa took a simple carrot cake and my Aunt Jean's Texas Sheet Cake recipe and elevated them to things of beauty and refinement. Both comforting and elegant, my guest raved about the desserts and her attention to detail. The entire process was lovely, from tasting to the day of, and Tessa was very responsive and thoughtful in all her communications. We are about to celebrate our one year anniversary and honestly cannot wait to hoist the frozen topper out of our freezer and taste it once more! Tessa went above and beyond our expectations for a wedding cake. We wanted several non-traditional cakes (ones that tasted good and were not white and fluffy) and she gave us exactly what we asked for. We had four amazing and eclectic flavors: chocolate vanilla, red wine velvet, elderflower lemon, and caramel chai. Not only were the cakes delicious but they were beautiful! They were so great that we didn't have a crumb left over! I highly recommend Tessa and will use her any time we need a cake!

The best cake I have EVER had!!! And by far the prettiest!! Tessa is so amazing!!! She offers so many flavor combinations that are unique and delicious! All of our guests were gushing about our cake and we can't wait to get her cakes for every event in the future! Tessa did an *incredible* job on our wedding cake. She took so much time to really figure out my vision and not only did it look stunning, it tasted amazing. Her attention to detail and flavor are just simply perfection. Cannot wait to use her again for future events!!!

Tessa can make cake! Tessa was so accommodating to me at the very last minute. My husband and I eloped and requested a small cake with just one week's notice. I was 100% prepared for her to say no, expecting her to be booked already with something bigger and better. Why would she want to make this tiny little elopement cake? I was so happy to get her fast email response willing to accommodate us! She did have several other things happening that weekend, but offered me a spin off cake if I was able to piggy back off of other flavors she was already working on. I was thrilled and then even more thrilled when the time came to eat the cake! It was AMAZING! I picked it up the day before, put it in the freezer overnight and honestly didn't expect it to taste super fresh. I was so wrong. It was perfectly delicious and fresh! It was so good we dint even save the top for our anniversary. We ate it all the same day. We'll just buy another one in a year to celebrate. I will absolutely use Tessa Pinner Cake in the future. Absolute flavor perfection from this lady!

Tessa did exactly what I wanted with my cake for my wedding. It was so moist and flavorful. It looked gorgeous, too. I was so happy with how it tasted and looked. When I tasted some of Tessa's cakes, they were all perfect and delicious. I recommend Tessa and know that she'll do what you ask her to do and it will be delicious.
