Experience

As a child, Anna dreamed of working in fashion magazines. After beginning her career at some of the most prestigious fashion publications in New York City, Anna transitioned into working with E-commerce before becoming a financial reporter and then a health editor.

To kickstart her career, Anna interned at People StyleWatch, InStyle, Fitness Magazine as part of the ASME Internship program, and more.

After studying journalism and public relations at the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), Anna landed her first job in New York City as the executive assistant to Eva Chen, the former Editor-in-Chief of Lucky magazine.

From there, Anna continued her career working at InStyle as an Editorial Assistant, writing about all-things pop culture, beauty, and fashion. Then, she worked as the brand’s E-Commerce Editor before joining CNN to launch its highly successful E-commerce business.

Today, Anna consults for brands on their E-Commerce strategy, and she also freelances for lifestyle retailers to help them shape their content strategy and tone of voice.

Anna graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), where she majored in journalism and public relations. While studying, Anna worked as the Creative Director for The Daily Illini, the university newspaper. She was also the Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the Vice President of Public Relations for her sorority, Kappa Delta.

Anna also acted as the Managing Editor for The Spoon, a lifestyle website for students, and Editorial Assistant for Impulse, a student-run digital and print magazine. She also worked as a writer for College Magazine, a national digital site for students, and head photographer of Her Campus.

While in college, Anna interned at several fashion magazines and was accepted into the ASME Magazine Internship Program, a highly selective and prestigious program.
