Irina Grechko is an experienced fashion and wedding writer. She has written for publications such as Vanity Fair, People StyleWatch, SheFinds.com, Washingtonian Magazine, Brides, The Knot, and NYLON. Irina currently works as a Senior Fashion and Culture Editor for Refinery29. She harbors a major weakness for burgundy lipsticks, high heels, and champagne. When she’s not working, you can typically find her bingeing shows at her apartment, eating cheese and pizza (sometimes at the same time), and cuddling with her imaginary Yorkie.
Experience
Irina started her career interning with Barefoot Books, Stuff Magazine, and Boston Common magazine while attending Emerson College. After graduating she interned with Niche Media and Vanity Fair focusing on beauty, fashion, and accessories. Irina was then hired as a Fashion and Beauty Reporter for People StyleWatch and later moved into an Editorial Assistant position with SheFinds.com. In 2013 Irina was hired as an Assistant Fashion Editor of Washingtonian Magazine and Assistant Editor of Washingtonian Bride & Groom. She was promoted to the Associate level for both of these positions after ten months. Following this position she worked as a Wedding Style Freelancer for Brides. From 2014 to 2016 Irina worked as an Assistant Editor of News and Planning for The Knot. In 2016, Irina was hired by NYLON as a Digital Editor. Throughout her four years with NYLON, she was promoted to Digital Managing Editor and Deputy Editor. Irina recently transitioned into a Senior Fashion and Culture Editor position with Refinery29.
Education
Irina graduated from Emerson College with degrees in Journalism and Writing, Literature and Publishing.
