Simone is a seasoned lifestyle writer specializing in food, travel, weddings and relationship topics. Whether she’s writing about wedding gowns or where to purchase tasteful bachelor party decorations (yes, they exist!) Simone loves helping people find exactly what they need for their celebration.
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, she currently resides on the Western coast of Canada.
When she’s not obsessing over where to travel and what to eat next, Simone loves listening to true crime podcasts, reading voraciously and scouring vintage shops for the next great find.
Since 2013, Simone has been the nationally syndicated relationship columnist for the Toronto Sun, where her column The Sex Files appears in print and online every week.
Prior to writing for the Toronto Sun, she honed her craft creating lifestyle content for Canadian Living, The Food Network Canada and Elle Canada, where she fell in love with writing about everything wedding related.
Over the past four years, Simone has pivoted her focus to include travel and food journalism, travelling all over Mexico, the Caribbean and the United States to cover luxury hotels and honeymoon destinations. She loves writing for The Knot Worldwide because it brings together many of her interests—food, design, travel and relationships - and jokes that her writing career can be summed up as “Carrie Bradshaw meets Carmen Sandiego.”
When she’s not using her unique voice to craft lifestyle articles or lugging her laptop through the airport on the way to her next destination, Simone speaks at conferences, contributes to podcasts and is a sought after sex and relationship expert.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Simone has a BA in Linguistic and Semiotic Anthropology and a minor in English. She also holds a certificate in Theatre Arts Careers from George Brown College, in Toronto.
