Ironically, there were just 3 boxes that were sent home with us. When we inquired, we were told that they prepared 15% more for security and took the liberty of feeding their staff and the venue's staff. Nothing was in the contract about feeding the staff at the venue and we had already paid for vendor meals. When I noted that it would have been better had they asked about giving the leftovers away to the staff (to which we likely would have said yes) or written it into the contract, she took offense and stated that our guests were "pretty heavy eaters" and that she didn't "feel comfortable" boxing up the sides because they would have been dry. First, it was unnecessary to insult our guests and second, if we paid for food, you should leave it up to the client to decide if it's too dry to eat. Also, I was disappointed that my cake was cleared when I got up to dance, which I had only taken one bite of and never saw again. Additionally, we were charged for missing rentals of plates and flatware that we got from another vendor. I was disappointed that no one in the catering staff could account for those or took more care to see if what they started with was the same as what they had at the end. I suspect those items got left at our venue out of carelessness. So, while the initial interactions were positive, our end left something to be desired.
