Owner Dana Fletcher first established this company as a way to help soon-to-be-weds look and feel their best. She and her team believe that each client deserves an attentive, fairytale experience before their romantic celebration. While based in Orlando, this team is more than happy to travel to venues throughout Florida and beyond. Bridal by OUAB will start with a prenuptial hair and makeup trial with you to ensure that you receive the aesthetic and appearance you want. With their on-site services, they will help you and your wedding party prepare for the altar in the comfort of your home or get-ready suite. Airbrush application, eyelash extensions, and contouring are some of the many treatments they offer to give you your ideal look.

The two wonderful artists were initially sent to the incorrect location but didn't allow this trouble to dampen their spirits when they interacted with my bridal party. They took into account the various requests from each lady in my party and absolutely individually accentuated how beautiful they were so everyone shined!
I could not have been happier to have their company to help set the tone and the style for my very special day. The relaxed atmosphere they provided and the attention to detail in hair and make up was, well, amazing.

t a 2 star is because of the unprofessionalism I noticed. Julie was sick the day of my wedding, she never messaged or contacted me.. I had to find out an 30 mins before the arrival time when I messaged her and she replied. There were two girls that replaced her. No big deal. During the end of the appointment, one of the girls showed me her phone to see a photo and a message popped up of Julie and the girls conversation talking about our wedding party and one of the messages from Julie read “I have her card on file, I can give her a fee for throwing your brush whenever” I asked the girl hey what’s that about? He response was ohh she is talking about another client…. Which didn’t make sense since i have been with the same girl all day. I told her if she had a problem or something happened to let me know, she just ignored me and never confronted if their was. I personally didn’t notice anyone from my bridal party being disrespectful or anything towards them. So I thought the message was weird. It also felt made me feel uneasy to see that I had given someone my card number and they could just give me fees without giving a reason or mentioning it to me. Just because you have my card number, that shouldn’t be excuse to charge someone without telling them the reason. (I was never charged).

I had added three hours of touch ups during the day, which was perfect because we were doing the majority of our pictures before the actual ceremony. She perfectly replicated the look on the day of my wedding and even pointed out small fixes she had noticed in the pictures from my trial and made a point to make sure everything was perfect on my wedding day. One piece of advice, do the bridal trial! It’s your chance to meet the team, let them become accustomed to your skin/hair and you can see if the look you want will work. I loved meeting Sussi & Sara! Sussi nailed my makeup look, I honestly have never seen such awesome technique. I am obsessed with my eyebrows & let me tell you, she knows what she’s doing! Sara is super knowledgeable & was able to help me find a product that would help my super long, super thick hair hold a curl in the Florida humidity!
It took everything in me not to cry when I saw my finished hair and makeup on my wedding day. Jolie & Sussi made my dream look into a reality and you could see it in my fiancé’s eyes at our First Look. I even asked Jolie to attach a rather heavy jeweled piece into my hair & I did not touch it once the entire night. I almost forgot it was there because it was so perfectly secure in my hair!

She gave each of my girls up-dos that looked very similar to each other but with twists on each one so they looked distinctly different but still cohesive. 31st, 2018 and started planning. After searching sites online and looking through TONS of wedding day bridal hair and makeup, I confirmed that I LOVED her style the best! I messaged Once Upon a Beauty on January 4th, 2018 and received a quick reply the same day with a quote for my January 31st, 2018 wedding. Dana was so easy to work with which was a necessity when planning an out of state wedding. She was quick to reply to any email I sent. On the day before, we finalized our wedding timeline details and confirmed location and time to meet and when I needed to be done for our photographer. On the day of my wedding, Dana arrived early ready to make me beautiful. You can tell she has passion and LOVES what she does. She has unremarkable talent in hair and makeup design. My mother in law even stated that out of all my wedding vendors, she was "her favorite!". Words cannot even describe how beautiful she made me not just look but feel on my wedding day. Dana and Jolie came to our hotel and we got right to work - they were so efficient and worked well together. We ended up being ahead of schedule! ve done a better job except she doesn't know how to do certain styles. She also doesn't blow dry your hair, so if our hair is frizzy, then she starts to make your hair into the style you want even though the hair is frizzy and needs a blow dry. Even if she has to turn on the blow drier for a minute, she's gonna charge you 30 for a blow dry even though it's not a proper blow dry. I got a quote and I was no happy with the final outcome of my bridesmaids and an extra 139 over my quote because she didn't know how to her hairstyles and we requested blowdry because the hairdos were looking bad and frizzy and the styles were already dropping by the after noon even before pictures had started. Never using this vendor again and don't recommend it. The make up was great. The girl who does the make up knows how to do them, but as far as hair, then I recommend hiring someone else because they aren't good.

giving our stylist hugs. This bride has been very rude to our staff from the beginning. Before her wedding day she cancelled a trial app. less than 30 minutes before and then no showed for the second trial appointment made. Upon or arrival the bridal party was nowhere to be found and showed up over 30 minutes late to our scheduled start time. Despite that we still got them finished on time. Yes, they were charged additional fees of $30 not $35 for blow drys as they are a separate service. We make it very clear that a formal style does not include a blow dry. They all had the option to blow dry their own hair to avoid the fees and chose not to. She was also charged nowhere near an extra $139 in add on fees and we would be more than happy to share that breakdown. Even though the bridesmaids were happy the bride kept finding things she wanted changed. Lastly despite our repeated warnings many bridesmaids decided to sleep on their hair after it was styled (which is never a good idea).. If you are a future bride and have any questions or concerns regarding this review please do not hesitate to ask. If you have any questions of the skills of our down styles please also feel free to request our portfolio of these styles by me Dana (I have plenty of them). I also have no problem putting you in contact with happy brides who have gotten down style and half ups before. al before the big day and when looking at the photos we took she decided it wasn't exactly the way she wanted it. Dana squeezed her in for a second trial on her hair and stayed until my daughter loved it. We were so comforted to know that she would love her hair on her big day, and she did!!!!

up on time and well prepared. She did hair for the bride, 4 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, the mother of the bride and an aunt of the bride. Her makeup artist was also fantastic! g day, she arrived early and prepared with a plan. All the employees were so friendly and kind, and helped make getting ready really special! Nothing rattled them, from my 4 year old niece running about to our loud chatting and music to our photographer shooting while they were trying to wrap up. They did a great job making each of my bridesmaids feel beautiful and special also, which was so important to me. You won't find a nicer, more talented hair and makeup company than Once Upon a Beauty! I am so glad I found them!

extremely responsive prior to my big day which made the day-of super smooth. She even managed to make my hair hold a curl which isn't an easy feat! She arrived early and made sure everyone looked their best and felt confident with their styles, and even had a lengthy conversation with my flower girl about her responsibilities and the hard work associated with being a princess!
