Cakes for All Seasons

Lisa @ Cakes for All Seasons was wonderful from the first time we reached out to set up a cake tasting. We had a really difficult time choosing between the delicious flavors of cake, buttercream, and fillings, but ultimately went with a 10” lemon cake, raspberry and blueberry fillings, and vanilla buttercream. We showed Lisa an inspiration photo that we really liked, and let her know we had tiny cake toppers of our cat and dog to go on top, and would be ordering some cake flowers from our florist to sit on top as well. We were so excited about the cake for the reception that we reached out to Lisa about treats for our rehearsal so that we had an excuse to get the apple bourbon cake that we sampled, with the salted caramel buttercream! We ordered that flavor as cupcakes, along with chocolate with espresso buttercream, and some viennese pinwheel cookies. They were an absolute hit at the rehearsal, with everybody taking seconds and we ran out before the night was over. Lisa was so sweet and offered to drop those items off in Portland since she had an event in the area, to save us having to pick them up. The day of our wedding, when we arrived at the reception, the cake had me grinning from ear to ear. It was stunning, everything came together beautifully, and I couldn’t wait to cut into it. When it was finally an acceptable time in the evening, my husband and I cut the cake and it was even better than we remembered from the tasting. When we were done with the cake-cutting photos, a friend got a pretty funny video of me scampering away with the rest of the piece of cake because I no longer wanted to share. We got to take home about ⅓ of the cake, but since we had to leave for our honeymoon, it had to go directly into the freezer, and I’m still sad I didn’t get another fresh piece. Lisa is amazing! For our wedding, Lisa prepared us a three tier cake - completely different flavors, as well as a few other delightful desserts (expresso brownie bites, GF almond cookies, Mary Berry cookies). She delivered our desserts to us for a reasonable rate. Everything was delicious and outstanding, the only thing I regret is not eating more of everything! Our venue said this was the best cake they've had, and I had many guests reach out about the gluten-free almond cookies! 100% recommend Lisa.

Lisa was lovely to work with for our wedding! We had a great time getting to know her during the tasting, and we had fun trying out her various sweets and cake flavors with our families. We sent her some photos of what we envisioned for our wedding cake, and her cake turned out more beautiful than any of our photos! Our guests loved her desserts as well! Everything Lisa made was wonderful, and we highly recommend her for anyone looking for delicious and gorgeous wedding cakes and desserts!

Lisa was so easy and wonderful to work with! Our wedding cake turned out beautiful and delicious. Day of the wedding she delivered the cake and had it all set up with the flowers and cake topper I had set aside. I’m very happy I had Lisa make such an important cake!

Lisa was amazing from start to finish. Not only was she incredibly warm and quickly responsive, she also has an incredible sense of integrity. My husband and I wanted to serve apple cider donuts at our wedding. Typically she does not allow pastries form outside vendors to be served along with her creations, so she attempted apple cider donuts for us to try along with our tasting. By her own admission, they were not up to her standards, and she suggested we out source those. I was so impressed by the fact that she did not make that a fight, and simply acknowledge they were not her specialty. Especially since the cakes were delicious! So delicious I couldn't decide what flavor to choose and we had 3 different flavors for a 3 layer cake! Our guests raved about how delicious all the flavors were. On top of that, I told her I was interested in a decoration style that I had seen on pinterest that she was not previously familiar with. Instead of just saying no and asking me to pick another style, she must have spent many additional hours getting a tutorial from a friend and attempting the decoration for me. It turned out absolutely gorgeous, and part of the reason I trusted her to tell me if she thought she could deliver was how she handled the donuts. Her cakes are delicious and gorgeous and she will go out of her way to make you happy, so please, hire her asap!!

Lisa made us a gorgeous wedding cake! It was moist and delicious. She also made the desserts for our dessert bar and the groom cake. Guests are still talking about the cake. I’ve also had her make cupcakes for my daughter’s baby shower. Her flavors are out of this world. She is so lovely and so easy to work with. She will be my go to for any of my cake needs.

Lisa put together the most beautiful wedding display for us, consisting of five cakes, pies and other desserts. Everything was stunningly delicious, but more than that, we felt overwhelmingly at home and supported by Lisa. She was so caring and invested in our experience. Our tasting was a blast - she accommodated five of us and gave such helpful recommendations. While we didn't see her again on the day of the ceremony, she pulled together a beautiful display for us, and communicating with her was easy as pie. :) We couldn't recommend her more - working with Lisa was one of the highlights of our wedding planning, and you won't be disappointed.

Lisa made us 8 beautiful cakes for our wedding reception. No one could get over how delicious they were & how decadent they looked. Lisa even made us some treats for my bridal shower - equally as tasty. You can not go wrong hiring Lisa for your wedding cake, she is one of the nicest people we have ever met.

Working with Lisa was a dream! She was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions as we were planning our wedding from out of state. She also mailed us cake tastings which was really fun and a great way for us to have an idea of what we liked even though we weren't local. On our wedding day, we had a beautiful three tiered cake with chocolate and buttercream + lemon and raspberry layers. YUM. Guests loved it!!! We can't thank you enough, Lisa!

From our very first meeting, we knew Lisa was professional and passionate about producing the very best for us! Our tasting was beautifully executed and Lisa provided a variety of treats for us to taste. Lisa curated a beautiful variety of desserts for our dessert buffet. There was not a single dessert left at the end of the evening! We ordered more than enough for all guests and by the time we returned from our sunset photos, there was not a single piece of dessert left on the table! Lisa was so prompt with communication and truly made sure each of our desires was met! She is the sweetest person and she really cares about the quality of her work. Lisa checked in after our honeymoon and after mentioning that our venue actually cut into our cake topper and did not save it for us. In addition, some guests decided to help themselves to the desserts left on our sweetheart table, so sadly, we were not able to try any of our wedding desserts! We told Lisa the story to let her know how much our guests TRULY enjoyed her treats. In response, Lisa actually offered to bake a cake topper for us to freeze for our anniversary. She will be one of the best decisions you will make during your wedding planning process!

Lisa with Cakes for All Seasons was such a joy to work with. We knew we wanted a small cutting cake, and then a variety of desserts for people to choose from, but weren't sure exactly what desserts to have. At our first meeting/tasting, I was blown away with how everything tasted, and the options we got to choose from. I think I gave Lisa the most last minute notice about what we wanted to try for cake and frosting flavors (totally forgot to get back to her until maybe the night before...), and she pulled through! She is just so loveable, but also extremely talented and hard working. At the wedding it was so funny hearing people talk about which dessert was their favorite- from the carrot cake cupcakes, the espresso brownie bites, the lemon curds with berries, gingersnaps, chocolate chip cookies, and mexican wedding cake cookies! That was exactly what we wanted, something for everyone to enjoy, and our guests raved about them! The next day people wanted to know if we had extras, and most of them were gone from the night before. Can't say enough about Lisa! Will definitley miss working with her!

Lisa was one of our favorite vendors to work with. She is so creative with her beautiful cakes, and worked hard to make sure that they were not only beautiful and delicious, but included our personalities as well. She even sculpted an adorable likeness of our dog to include on the cake! We served (and sampled!) a wide variety of her flavors, because were not able to pick just one! Lisa can do anything you ask, and simply a pleasure to work with (flexible, creative, and fun).

We absolutely loved our wedding cake. Everyone commented of how beautiful it was. Lisa was wonderful to work with. It was exactly what we wanted :)

Lisa made the most wonderful gluten free wedding cake for my husband and I. We had a small 8’ wedding cake that was available to guests along with multiple other desserts made my family and friends. The GF cake was sweet and did not fall apart (like other GF cakes do!). Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the cake and didn’t realize that it was GF. Lisa also lent us a cake tray which was extremely nice of her. The price was perfect, Lisa was nice, and the cake was yummy. Highly recommend!

Lisa was so great to work with from the moment we first spoke. From our delicious box of cakes and frostings mailed to us for our wedding tasting to the three beautifully complimentary cakes that she made for our reception, Lisa exceeded all of our expectations. We’re so happy we were able to work with her and will be dreaming of our perfect cakes for a long time to come!
