This might not be a huge deal in some circumstances, but on the day of your wedding, you don't need the added stress or bad environment to deal with. For my wedding day, my hair was scheduled to start at a certain time, and I had specifically budgeted time to relax with some bridesmaids before hair started. She arrived very early (which is usually a good thing), but then she sat in another room with a view of me and just STARED at me because I was not ready and I did not want to change the pre-agreed schedule just because she was really early. I ended up cutting short my relaxing time and starting hair early, because she was making me feel so uncomfortable by staring at me from another room. More importantly, while I liked my trial a lot, I was unhappy with my wedding day hair. When I asked her to change things, she was not accommodating about it and made me feel SO GUILTY for asking! She complained about having to backtrack, told me my face was oily and it was the fault of my face, and she just was not patient or helpful in determining how we could fix the hair issues. Other stylists will ask you questions to try and determine what the issue is - she just said in an unfriendly way, "I don't know what you mean." I ended up just giving up on trying to talk to her, and she left when I was clearly unsatisfied with my hair. Ultimately, I had to ask one of the other stylists to do some adjustments after Emily left. My hair styling experience was literally the ONLY BAD part of my entire wedding day. The bottom line is that she might be talented, but if you want a friendly, compassionate, and patient environment, as most people do on their wedding day(!), seek elsewhere.

initely threw her a curve ball the day of my wedding when I wanted an elaborate braid with extensions and clips and pins for my bridal hair. She and Carly were able to team up and they absolutely NAILED IT! It was amazing. I have never felt so beautiful and confident thanks to them. up brought out their natural beauty and their hair looked put together (short mother hair can be tricky). If you can't tell, the style is very natural/glowy/fresh which is what I was looking for, but on the day of, I felt like my make up was too natural. I couldn't do my trial with the same artist because I'm an out of town bride. I will say don't expect warm and fuzzies from all of the make up artists, which made me less inclined to point out that the make up looked different from the trial. Regardless, they did do a good job.

Maddie worked with the makeup I already had that I knew I had no allergies to and used her own products that were on my allergy safe list. I also have naturally curly hair and wanted to use my natural curls for my wedding day and Sheana was great at creating this beautiful style utilizing my curls. I can't rave enough about these two and can't wait to use them again. BOOK THEM! You won't regret it!!

the morning, arrived on time and kept us on schedule! They were all fun to work with and did an amazing job!! Sheana did my hair and kept working on it until it was exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding! Maddie did my makeup. I requested lots of glam with contour, dramatic lashes and shimmery eye makeup and she totally delivered!! My hair & makeup lasted throughout the 15 hour, 90 degree day! I highly recommend them for any event!

e was the makeup artist for the day, and Sheana was the hair stylist. Overall, Maddie and Sheana both did an amazing job! For starters, I booked a hair trial a couple of months out, and I wasn't sure exactly what kind of look I wanted, so I provided some Pinterest pictures. Both Maddie and Sheana were very personable, helpful, patient, and offered insight on different options. I actually still couldn't decide on a hairstyle, and I was able to book a second hair trial with Sheana a week before the wedding (the humid summer weather in Missouri had me questioning whether to do an up or down style). On the day of, both of them arrived on time and ready to go. They followed the timeline with all of the bridesmaids, and everyone looked beautiful! I chose my final hairstyle on the day of (one of the looks from the trial), and Sheana did an amazing job. Maddie also did a flawless makeup look and was able to answer any questions I had. All of the bridesmaids and myself received compliments all night long regarding our hair and makeup. Thanks so much Emily Miller Team! Sheana even did a hair trial for the MOB since she normally doesn't wear her hair up, but wanted to for our wedding since her dress had a high neckline. Sheana asked questions, listened, and produced a style my mom ended up loving! Emily and her team were very professional and worth every penny. the week of my Friday wedding which really had me upset, because Alexis was her fill in & I’d paid the other girl to do my trial. In my opinion this was unfair that I paid someone for a trial that didn’t even do my wedding day makeup! Emily offered a free makeup trial by the new artist but I had no time with it being the week of my wedding. The excuse for the cancellation was a poor one that should’ve been addressed we’ll before my trial. Alexis was great though & everyone’s makeup held up well in the 80 degree heat of October.

We all did airbrush and the makeup easily stayed on for 12 hours! You honestly get what you pay for, so spend a little extra and go with the professional!
