Our DJ service offers simplified flat-rate pricing for up to 6 hours of service time, which includes everything you'll need from your DJ from start to finish! Please see the pricing tab for detailed pricing info:
We also provide a very unique Wedding Day Management Service as an add-on to our DJ packages for DIY couples. We’ll help create and manage your event timeline, we’ll work closely with you, your vendors, bridal party, family members & your guests, and we'll manage the flow of the ceremony and reception so your special day runs smoothly! We'll even attend and manage your rehearsal if we're available. We work very closely with professional planners, but we're also the perfect DJ for anyone who either doesn't have a planner or is working with a planner/decorator who likes to work behind the scenes.

Ideal Entertainment LLC is a Charleston, SC-based company that has provided multiple services for over 800 events since 2011. We pride ourselves on being experts in the wedding industry, and our goal is always to provide the best possible experience for our couples.
What sets us apart is our unique experience as a DJ/Coordinator combo. We work very closely with the coordinator if you have one, but if hiring a hands-on coordinator is not in your plans, then we offer peace of mind that most DJs either can't or won't provide. In the absence of a coordinator, the DJ is always expected to provide leadership and guidance for your vendors, family, guests, and yourselves, because someone will always need to be in charge and keep everything flowing smoothly throughout the wedding day. Unfortunately, this can lead to chaos and disarray if you hire the wrong person to be your visual and vocal representative on one of the most important days of your life.

Booked Chris for my wedding and he was amazing! He did our pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception music and everything was perfect. He is so organized, helpful, and goes above and beyond. Definitely recommend!
Chris is professional, passionate, and well-prepared to do his job as a DJ. We also tacked on the day-of coordination services, which was well worth the small cost. We appreciated his attention to detail, and he regularly met with us to make sure music, details, and other stressors of the day were fully covered. Chris was an absolute gem in making our wedding day run smooth and stress free. He is so knowledgeable about every in and out of a wedding and pays attentions to the most minute details that you wouldn’t even know to acknowledge. Not only is he an amazing dj, but he provided us with guidance and advice in other areas of the day to make sure everything flows and works together cohesively. I truly could not have imagined our day without him. Also can’t ignore the pricing - I researched A TON and didn’t find a dj that even came close to the prices he offers for his services. From the beginning Chris was so helpful, kind and detailed! He answered every question we had and offered up suggestions along the way.
We ended up hiring Chris as our day of cooridinator as well as our DJ/MC and let me tell you he did not dissapoint!
He even helped us to arrange and make a whole seating chart for the event! He did not have to do that!
We are so very appreciative of every little second of time that Chris devouted to us. Weddings are just so stressful and he really took a bit of the load for us!
Chris was on top of it with the photographers, coordination of the day, guests, bartenders he even brought us drinks! How sweet!

Chris was an absolutely amazing DJ on our wedding day and all the months leading up to it. He's very detailed and precise in making sure your experience is exactly what you want it to be. He has a lot of great ideas for getting people on the dance floor, turning your reception into a party, and making sure everything is executed seamlessly! We booked Chris for our wedding day and his add-ons made our reception and send-off the party that we wanted it to be. We added some up lights to the reception hall which really turned the space from dinner into a party! We also rented his bubble gun machines for our send-off and the photos were absolutely amazing with all the bubbles they made!
Chris has the perfect personality for a DJ and made our day/night so perfect and so fun! We had lots of phone conversations leading up to the big day and a shared google file where I could create the playlist and the order of events, list wedding party names for announcing and do all of that on my time for him to have the info when he needed it. The setup was very nice with Chris' DJ booth and his speakers are very good quality! We are so thankful to have found Ideal Entertainment for our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone else planning a wedding!
I dont even know where to begin! Chris was such an AMAZING not only dj but person. He was always willing to help, super responsive, and made my wedding complete and so much fun. Absolutely incredible service! We could not beleive how lucky we were to work with Chris and Ideal Entertainment during our wedding planning and the big day. They went above and beyond the normal expectations to make sure every question we had was answered, offer advice when we asked and provide expert guidance on the best practices to having a fantastic celebration. They took care of everything we asked and some we did not even think to ask. They were polite, professional and extremely easy to communicate with. Chris was the HIGHLIGHT vendor of our wedding. Not only did he do an exceptional job with the actual music and announcements, but he went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I got everything we need on our big day. We are in our late 20's and had ~200 guests which is a lot to handle, but Chris was on top of it and took care of anything we asked and then some. On top of all of that it was a very affordable service even with add ons. We Highly HIGHLY reccomended him for your big day.

Chris spent so much time with us before the wedding to make sure every detail was in order, and on our wedding day every single thing was perfect! Our guests were obsessed with his energy. He truly goes the extra mile (he came to the rehearsal to coordinate final details and stood-in for a groomsmen that was running late). Chris is the BEST. He tended to our needs from day one all the way to the day of. He played as our day-of coordinator as well as our DJ and brought to light any issues or problems we may encounter to prepare beforehand. He is extremely energetic and enthusiastic at all times and really caters to his couples. As a DJ, he kept the party jumping from the start while simultaneously fixing day-of-coordinator problems.

We are so happy we went with Chris from Ideal Entertainment to DJ our wedding! He was a joy to work with throughout the process and was a reminder that, despite the stress of wedding planning, a wedding is a party and should be fun! He was professional and very prepared. From the moment we contacted Chris, we knew we had the person we wanted to tie our wedding together. He is a high-energy, enthusiastic, and organized leader. A true professional. His sound set up was amazing. Chris' guidance before and during the wedding was nothing short of perfect.
A few weeks before the wedding, we were nervous about how we were going to bring all the elements together. We met with Chris at the venue and he alleviated all of our worries. He walked us through the entire process of the day, the best ways to set up the venue, and even coordinated with the other vendors.

Chris was the upmost professional and amazing DJ we could have asked for! He not only drove across the state to still provide services for us on our wedding due to a last minute cancellation of our original wedding note being able to workout due to unforeseen circumstances, he readily made himself available to us within less than a month's notice to help give us our wedding. He was more than your average DJ by providing us with day of coordinator services at a last minute notice which SAVED our wedding! He even helped decorate our wedding the day of because there were hiccups happening, this man is incredible!!! Chris not only was the DJ for our wedding but he was also our officiant. We were a destination wedding to Greenville South Carolina and never had to worry about a thing. Chris communicated wonderful and was on top of helping us with our timeline. As a DJ Chris was always very professional and knew how to read the room with music. Would hire Chris again at any time.

We hired Chris for our wedding last weekend. He did an amazing job as DJ and completed many coordination tasks as I did not have a coordinator. Everyone at the wedding saw him go above and beyond for us and our families. He executed what we wanted with the dance floor and showed flexibility with rain schedule changes. He was by far the best vendor to work with, was the most attentive to what we needed and helped the most during our planning process. Having someone who responded in a timely manner to questions and concerns makes a world of a difference when the wedding planning stress hits!

Chris did an amazing job as the DJ for our February wedding! He was incredibly detailed throughout the whole process, was easy to talk to and timely in his communication. Chris was always available for questions and worked hard to help us figure out what we wanted (and didn't want) for our reception. His experience and knowledge made him super easy to work with.
Chris made a detailed timeline of all the announcements/ music and had us make a list of our favorite songs to play during cocktail hour/ at the reception. I had MANY compliments from friends and family about Chris keeping the dance floor lively the whole night!

Look no further, this is the guy you need to hire. Chris was an amazing asset to our wedding day! He was hired to be the DJ but he did so much more. Chris set up multiple phone calls with me and made sure he had the timeline down to perfection which he used to make sure the day went right on schedule. He helped usher guest to running and getting us a plate last minute at cake cutting to even helping clean up a broken glass that was dropped on the dancefloor. Chris went above and beyond and not to mention had everyone on the dance floor all night!
One piece of wedding planning advice: hiring a great DJ is a game-changer and Chris is a GREAT DJ. I didn't think we had a lot of dancers on our guest list but he got the dance floor packed! He's also a fantastic emcee; he kept the energy high and the flow of events on track throughout the reception. Chris and his wife are the best and sweetest people ever! They saved our wedding when our DJ canceled six weeks out. Chris is super organized and thorough. Chris was absolutely amazing. We used Bower Entertainment (MIM Event Services) for our destination wedding. Chris was so helpful from day 1 all throughout the entire wedding process. We used him for our DJ, officiant, and photo booth services. The photo booth was an absolute hit! Our guest loved it!! He knew exactly how to keep the crowd dancing and have a great reception with song choices. He made sure I had everything I needed, and that he was there for anything that I did need! Absolutely amazing! I recommend him to everyone! You won’t regret it!

Our first venue actually fell through after we had booked, and Chris even helped us find the right place for us! The photobooth was a total hit; our guests had a blast! Chris was awesome! He did our uplighting and logo and DJ services. VERY helpful and super nice. He was honestly one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. We rented chairs covers and chair sashes and they went above and beyond trying to make sure the colors matched as close as possible, the uplighting looked great! We booked Chris for our DJ, uplighting, linen rental, chair covers, photography, and his wife Tara as our coordinator. They really are a "one stop shop" for all of your wedding needs at an excellent price. They were the first vendor we booked, over a year in advance. Chris and Tara stayed in touch with us monthly up until the big day and were very responsive with emails. They truly have a passion for this work and love what they do which you can tell immediately! We still receive compliments from our families a to how wonderful job they did. The biggest vendor that blew us away on our wedding day was by far our wedding DJ. Chris Bower from Memories in Motion exemplified handwork, creativity and thoughtfulness. With every meeting we had, he was well informed, prepared and showed us that he truly cared for us and our wedding on a very personable level. He offered several times to help us with whatever we needed, even if it wasn't music related, and was fun, easy-going and pleasant to be around throughout the entire wedding reception. We were truly amazed to see how much care he puts into his work.
Chris did an amazing job at our wedding! We had uplighting, backdrop for the sweetheart table, and a photo booth. And at the last minute I asked him for sashes for our chairs in the reception ballroom and he got them ordered on time and tied and put them on every single chair with the help of his wife. They are a great team. He played everything I gave him for each playlist I had for different parts of the wedding day. I got tons of compliments from the guest that they loved his music, i gave him ideas from smooth soul, R&B, instrumental remixes, pop, 80's, salsa, bachata, you name it! And he ran with it and did great! Kept the crowd entertained as well with some fun games. Highly recommend

Memories in Motion was by far our favorite vendor of our wedding! Chris and his wife were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect :) Chris was an incredibly entertaining DJ and worked with our coordinator at our venue to make sure everything happened on time and correctly! :) The Photobooth was a hit and we had a lot of fun going through all of the pictures after we got back from our honeymoon. We definitely recommend this vendor for any of your event needs!
Chris is absolutely amazing! He was such a big help from beginning to end! He helped with so many different ideas for songs when I did not realize exactly how many different moments during the ceremony you would need music. He was/ still is in the process of moving to a bigger location for his growing business and was still keeping in contact to help with anything that he could. My husband and I could not be any happier with Chris. Our guests and especially our youngest daughter LOVED all the song choices he played along with all the special requests. My wife Tara and I originally entered the event industry in 2011 as a videographer/wedding planner team. Since then, we've been a part of over 800 events, providing numerous services including DJ/emcee, wedding Coordinating, video, photo booth, officiant, ceiling/backdrop draping, & bistro lighting.
