Update to the original post: We've now received our photos and couldn't be more thrilled at having worked with Rita and her team. Their turnaround time on the photos was just 7 days which is incredible. And then when we told them we were actually away on holiday and couldn't pick them up just yet, they went above and beyond in getting the online gallery up quicker so we'd be able to access them. The photos themselves are amazing and Juan Carlos truly captured the happiness of the day. His eye for the perfect shot is unbelievable. I have no hesitation about recommending them and have already passed on their info to friends. Thanks again to the team for everything, our day would have been nowhere near as amazing without Lamar and we are truly appreciative!

A few days before my wedding the Photographer called me to confirm the address, go over a plan for the day, ask if I had any specific shots I wanted captured, and let me know that she planned to be there early. And I got my photo disks about 2 1/2 weeks after my wedding, which was amazing. (My friend was amazed because her sister was still waiting on the photos from her August wedding from another photographer/company)

photographs we were being shown. The expertise demonstrated in Rita's answers convinced us that the photos were the product of her Center; and, the expertise was of the level we required. The photographer at our wedding was unobtrusive, but, had scouted out the best angles for photographs that were more than the usual 'posed', cliched (i.e., 'cheesy') wedding photos you see in all your friends' albums. This was true for pre-wedding, during the ceremony and at the reception. Bottom line: we got superior service and photographs at a price point I was very happy with. I would recommend Rita and her Lamar Wedding Center to any couples looking for white glove service for their Great Day. PJA

I gave rave reviews to our DJ, venue, florist, officiant and baker. And, although I love the CONCEPT behind Lamar Wedding Center, I do not recommend anyone use this company. Planning and executing a wedding is challenging enough, there's no need to add a bad experience to that. Find a vendor who appreciates your business and wants to make your day a good one.

In terms of the video itself - we were taken away by how incredible it was. Harry was our videographer and he was fantastic. He had a very unobtrusive manner about him, and he did an incredible job capturing all of the important parts of the day. The video was edited to perfection. Thank you so much Lamar Wedding Center! ck in time I would tell myself to relax, because Lamar had everything under control. Every aspect of our wedding was beautifully handled. Even when we had an emergency change of venue 8 months before the wedding! As an officiant, Rita was down to earth and very respectful of our wishes for the ceremony. We wanted something a little unusual and quirky, and she did a fantastic job with the ceremony. Our DJ was great - he was not too "in your face" like some wedding DJs can be. He was able to accommodate every song on our must-play list, and I have gotten nothing but compliments from many of my family members saying he played a great mix of music for everyone to enjoy. Our flowers came out beautifully. I am totally clueless about flowers and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't bring myself to care what the difference between this flower or that flower was. I brought in a few pictures, and Unni brought my ideas to reality. When I saw my bouquets the day of the wedding, I couldn't believe how perfect they looked. Our photographs were probably the best part, though. Justin was incredible! He captured so many little moments I didn't even think about while they were happening. He made posing for group portraits entertaining and rolled with some of the groomsmen's crazier ideas (and as a result, we have awesome photos of my husband "force choking" his groomsmen, like in Star Wars - trust me, it's awesome). Honestly, though, the best part of working with Lamar is that everyone I spoke with - florist, DJ, photographer, and officiant - were all wonderfully personable, down-to-earth, and treated both me and my groom with equal respect. Lots of wedding vendors automatically assume the bride is doing all the planning, but as soon as we made it clear that he was as much a part of the process as I was, they included him. In short - working with Lamar Wedding Center was a wonderful experience, from our initial planning to the end result. THANK YOU!

and oh my, I can truly only say good things about her! Amazing professional, great creative ideas, attention to detail... Every thing was just perfect. And what a breeze of fresh air to work with her! Always understanding and nice and it wasn't an easy wedding since both our families don't speak English. But she always had the patience and I can't wait to see all pictures after they get edit! We got a high class service and for the most reasonable price ever! er staff were so friendly and accommodating. She was so down to earth, a regular person, like my husband and I. Once we started talking with her, we knew she would be the one to marry us. We came up with a custom, personal ceremony which she delivered flawlessly. Being that we also procured our photographer through Lamar, Rita worked well with Tim our photographer, knowing just the right times to pause to let him get the shot. She made us feel comfortable, at ease and it went beautifully. I cannot tell you how many people came to us and wanted to know who it was who married us. They loved her. It was just perfect. Their photography services are very fairly priced, and most importantly to us all the rights to the photographs were ours. Rita went through the packages with us until we found the one that worked best for our budget. It was just a perfect combination of formal shots and those photojournalistic images I was looking for. We also got our flowers through Lamar. Their florist is unbelievable. I gave her picture samples of exactly what I wanted. They were so accommodating and the flowers came out exactly as I requested. In fact – better. And again, I wasn’t locked into something I didn’t want or need, I got just what I wanted. Lamar was the only place where I liked the price and he liked the quality of the pictures. The photographer was excellent to work with. He asked us of course what we wanted but then came up with great ideas for the rest of the photos. We are more than satisfied! They turned out great!!! And for a fraction of the price!! The photographer was fast to upload our pictures and the staff is just so friendly and great to work with!!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. This is one happy bride! Everyone has been commenting on how beautiful the pictures are!

r Wedding Center had everything we were interested in! We wanted a photo booth, limo, photos, photo albums, invitations, and more! This was the greatest place! We just came in for an inquiry and then went to see if there was anywhere else that could match the price and we couldn't, so we ran back to Lamar so we could place our deposit! At the wedding everything went so smoothly. Lamar Wedding Center is a place of true professionals. They understood everything that happened at our wedding and we did not worry for a second. They were so on top of everything from start to finish! When we got the photos back, they were so beautiful tears were streaming down my face. I could not believe how well the photographer captured our special day!

pher and videographer for Theresa's wedding were so talented. There was not a moment that they were not running around getting perfect shots. It seemed as if they had a six sense for finding the perfect moments to capture!! He captured my absolute favorite picture of my family! I had Theresa give me the cd to make my own print of the photograph because it was just too perfect not to have a copy! They were perfect for Theresa's wedding and perfect for my own!!! We tell everyone about them. I feel so blessed to have found them, and I know Theresa feels the very same way.

ry informative. The photographers that they use are all professionals. Our photographer had a great sense of humor and worked out all of our requests. We had a result of 700 pictures to choose from which I was delightfully surprised.

al with that if the album design process was not awful. When I booked Lamar, I was told that I would be able to sit down with the album designers to create my albums. This was not possible, as the album designers are not in-house. Instead, Lamar uses collages.net. I was so unhappy with collage's design that I had to design my album myself with encouragement by Lamar, because they agreed that collages.net "dropped the ball." After I laid out my design, I had to point out photo corrections (over-exposure, tilted pictures, etc.) multiple times before the corrections were made. Some of the corrections have yet to be made actually, since I am still going back and forth about the album. It has been a painful experience working with collages.net and dealing with my album. Also, I was never told up front that I could not proof the parents' albums. (I was assured that I would have final say on all albums.) After the photos were chosen for the parents' albums, they printed the albums. I was not allowed to approve those albums. I am not optimistic that I will like those albums given my experience with my wedding album. Since Lamar came recommended via other people and The Knot, I have to believe that my terrible experience is some sort of anomaly. Anomaly or not, it has not been a good experience.

He is also so fast once we got home from our honeymoon the pictures were already sent to us to see between the quality and such different personalities they came out as perfect as I could have hoped for! You need to contact Lamar and book with this photographer right away-it is going to be your best decision for your big day!

When we got the photos in, he did this for us, and I didnt even have to deal with worrying about it on my wedding day. We also used their florist. The bouquets were so beautiful and Uni also listened to everything I said...little/no green and NO baby's breathe.... great place to work through.

not speak to them until a few days before the wedding. I am kind of a control freak so that part was hard for me to handle. That aside, they did a very nice job. Our photographer Dan was great. I am very impressed with the quality of the images. We were unable to take photos outside due to the terrible weather, so he worked with me to find some good indoor locations. They were very quick to get my photos onto the internet, and my thank you's came out great. I received them about 2 weeks after I selected the photo. Also it was great that they give you a DVD of all your pictures. Most places will not. Only complaint was our "free engagement photos". Very unimpressive. Literally took us into the alley behind the building and took about 24 photos. Have not yet ordered my albums, but if they are anything like the samples I'm sure they'll be great. I have friends who spent 4000 on photos and I dont think they're any better than ours. I think our package was 1400?

I believe Lamar has several photographers so ask to look at their work and then request which you like best. Lamar works with the DJ company, DJ Jamz, and I think I lucked out with my DJ. He was great the day of the wedding- great music selection and very professional and personable. However, the whole time leading up to the wedding was kind of stressful because I did not hear back from the DJ company for a long time and the owner was rather curt and would only allow us to request a DJ if we upgraded to a more expensive package. So without ever seeing a demo or hearing back from our DJ, I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly it went, though I do not know if others will have the same experience since there are several DJs that work for the center. Overall, for the money I spent, I was very pleased with my experience working with Lamar and the quality of the services I booked.

u make a deposit you don't really talk to them until your final payment is due 2 weeks prior. You are not put in touch with your photographer until the week of your wedding (Tuesday or Wednesday). For very hands on brides, like myself, this may cause some stress. I did not talk with my photographer until somewhat late in the day on Wednesday, and called Lamar several times letting them know I hadn't heard from him yet. Once I got off the phone with them I was on the phone with him within 30 minutes and my mind was completely at ease. Samuel Lahoz, was my photographer assigned to our wedding and he couldn't not have been a more perfect choice for us. He was laid back, and got almost every picture I asked for (I gave him a HUGE list but also mentioned that every picture wasn't necessary). I can't wait to see the proofs!

The bouquets turned out to not be exactly how I wanted it and the day of the wedding she delivered the bouquets to the location instead of my house incorrectly which she quickly fixed by rushing to my house right after, but that cost her to be unable to decorate our cake with flowers like she was supposed to. The limo service was truly exceptional however, the drivers were very courteous, professional, and most importantly punctual! They weren't late arriving to any location even when they picked us up after the wedding. The photographer we had was amazing! He was very nice, professional, and took some breathtaking pictures. However, just trying to meet with the photographer was an ordeal. They refuse to let you meet them unless you pay $75 and that's ONLY IF YOU BOOK THEM. If you want to meet him prior to booking it's over $100. I thought that was absurd. The people Rita & Dana from Lamar that I dealt with were okay. We had our issues and I probably wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless they were okay with booking their services blindly and not having to meet with any of the vendors. I don't know what their DJs are like since I booked someone else to handle the music. You can't meet with their DJs either and I just didn't want to deal with that. Price wise they were very reasonable which is why in the end I stayed with them.

t I want blown up and hung on my wall. The pictures I would normally want- have my shadow on my husband's face.... I just feel like as a professional, you should see the shadows. My other issue is too many of the pictures were taken on an angle... I know that it's "the new thing" but can't I have one of each?
