We're wedding florists (Flowers Valley) and for us working at the Rengstorff House was a delight. The staff was accommodating and professional, and the venue provided a stunning setting for our floral designs. Highly recommend for any event!
There are not enough words to describe how much I loved having our wedding at Rengstorff House. I remember visiting it for the first time while venue hunting and knew this was the place for us to exchange vows. There are so many beautiful spots and shots: the house (indoors and outdoors), the bridge, the lawns, the lake (we had a beautiful pink sunset which our photographer caught), the windmill... My sister said upon her first venue visit that the pictures online don't do it justice, even though they are great.
So many people came up to us and commented on how they loved it. It was the perfect backdrop to my wedding vision.
Kristina, the venue coordinator, was great. She was always available to answer any questions that I had, no matter how dumb it may have sounded. Since I have not planned something at this level, it was amazing to have someone like her to walk me through this important process.
The cost for the venue is affordable considering how expensive they are nowadays. However, you are only paying for the grounds. They do offer an arch for free, which is very convenient. However, you will need to rent tables, chairs, lighting, tablecloths, decor, tableware, flatware, etc. It can add up so make sure to budget and plan accordingly. In the end, it was completely worth it to me. I would not change anything about that day.
Staff was amazing and organized in the process! All of our interactions were great. The price and location cannot be beat. I would highly recommend this venue! I was so excited that we were able to get ready onsite, and we were able to take beautiful photos on the grounds.
My partner and I had our ceremony and reception at Rengstorff House on September 15, and we would absolutely recommend this venue to other couples! Kristina, the senior coordinator, was wonderful to work with. We planned our wedding from NYC, and Kristina was always very responsive and helpful via email and phone. Rengstorff House itself is gorgeous, with impeccable landscaping and a fascinating interior. We knew we wanted to get married outside and loved that we could combine the museum aspects of the venue with the outside setting we were looking for. Renting Rengstorff House essentially entails renting the home and grounds only, meaning that couples need to bring in all of their vendors independently (e.g., lighting, music, photography, catering, rentals, floral, etc). RH provides a preferred vendor list of individuals/companies that they have pre-existing contracts with, which was very helpful in getting started with choosing vendors. We ended up bringing in 2 vendors who were not on the pre-approved list, and Kristina helped to ensure that their paperwork and contracts were settled way in advance of our wedding day. Our friends and family raved about the venue and loved the intimate feeling that the home provided. We are thrilled that we chose to get married at Rengstorff House, and would recommend this venue without hesitation!
Beautiful location and amazing staff.
It is a very affordable venue. We loved our wedding so much! The only down side of course is that the numbers add up since you have to rent everything. The beauty of it is that you can rent according to your budget.
Rengstorff House is a historical house is a beautiful! Kristina the Senior Rec Coordinator was very nice and helpful with our reservation of the venue. The staff that was on duty for our event was very nice and cordial and closed up the place after we finished.
The venue is nice for an outdoor wedding (there house is a museum, so there is not much you can do indoors).
The garden is beautiful, the venue let us bring own vendors and whatever else we needed for the wedding. Needless to say it's very affordable.
The downside is they do not provide anything but the space. You would need to take care of all rentals and even lighting.
This place is awesome! A museum kind of setting but a home as well! It has a variety of scenery outside as well for the perfect photo opps! The cost was unbeatable and they were very helpful and nice.
I had my wedding at Rengstorff House and absolutely loved it!! I was very adamant about holding the entire event outdoors and it was perfect for that. The ceremony area is pretty and intimate, with trees growing all around. The garden where the reception was held is gorgeous. They are very open and flexible with catering and other vendors. We even had fireworks courtesy of the Fourth of July event at the amphitheater. We researched so many venues and many of the ones that had the vintage ambiance and outdoor space we wanted were exorbitantly expensive. We were able to have our wedding here with many upgrades for much less than comparable local venues.
Great venue site, affordable and the outside lawns are beautiful.
We had both our ceremony and reception on the outside lawns of Rengstorff House. Beautiful venue and we loved it!
The house manager is very nice and helpful and we had no problems with our venue for the rehearsal day and wedding day.
It was a beautiful Victorian home by a lake.;The trail to the lake is dusty and can be muddy.
